We have the best views, good food, and of course, perfect weather. And today is no different. Even though we're off to a cloudy start in the morning, it's going to be a very mild stretch of the week leading into Memorial Day tomorrow. So, it is going to be cooler than normal. Uh but again, it's going to look like this. So that's going to really set the tone for uh the next four days or five days. Um so you can see in Julian, it's going to be pretty much clear for the next uh week. Alcohon is going to look like this for the next few mornings. And then if you're spending time closer to the coast, you can expect cloudy skies, especially heading into the afternoon hours. But again, temperature- wise, it's just going to be very mild. And over the next several days, uh foggy mornings are going to be returning tomorrow and for the next several days. Uh it's going to be a deepening marine layer. So it's going to be down to 5,000 ft. Keep that in mind. Especially if you have an early commute, you may encounter some patchy drizzle on your way to work. Now by tomorrow, those temperatures are going to be much cooler. And for the second half of the week, we're going to be rebounding back to average. So, uh, wind gusts right now are pretty mild and, um, not too strong, but especially as we head into later tonight, you can expect those winds to pick up, especially in typically windier spots closer to the mountains in Julian, Alpine, and closer to the deserts. And then for the rest of the next few hours, you can see it's just going to be calming down. As far as air quality, it is moderate for the most part for most of the county. unhealthy for sensitive groups closer to the coast because of that inversion layer is keeping that smog closer to the ground.
Now, this storm is going to be passing to the north of us by midweek. So, you can see it approaching here. And once it does, it is going to be cooling temperatures down, but it's also going to be feeding into the marine layer, which is why we're going to expect much cloudier and gray conditions by Wednesday. Now, temperature- wise right now, we're still pretty mild. 60s all across the board. 62 degrees in Mount Lagona. And then by this afternoon, we're going to be topping out into the upper 60s closer to the coast. 70s in Inland Empire, 73 degrees in Julian, and for the rest of the county, 69° in Lemon Grove. So, over the next seven days, we're going to be entering the stretch of cloudy weather. And you can see here, not a lot of temperature fluctuations from now until Thursday, but by Friday, the sunshine will be making a comeback.
So, by Memorial Day, uh just might be a good idea to go out with a light jacket if you're spending time outdoors. Lots of people have the day off tomorrow. And closer inland, you can see that we're going to be uh dealing with those cloud clouds once again. Uh by Wednesday though, we're going to be dipping down to the 60s. And then by Friday, just a few degrees warmer there, back to the 70s. Mountain forecast, you can see here, we're going to be experiencing sunny conditions from now all the way into the following weekend.
