The seven bowls in Revelation 16 represent God's final judgments against the kingdom of the beast and those who took the mark of the beast. These judgments parallel the plagues God poured out on Egypt, symbolizing divine wrath upon those who reject God's authority. The Greek word 'apocalypse' (Revelation) means 'unveiling' or 'revealing,' not destruction, emphasizing that the book's primary purpose is to reveal Jesus Christ in His heavenly kingdom and glory, rather than focusing solely on end-time judgments.

Explain the Seven Bowls in Revelation? | ASK THE PASTOR LIVE ON TCT本站添加:
5 4 3 2 Hello and welcome to Ask the Pastor. I am your host today, Pastor Sam Vicente, and I want to thank you for allowing us to come into your home today with the show Ask the Pastors. You know, we have pastors that are standing by, their door is open, but before we get to them, I just want to take this special time right now just to thank all of our partners, those who stand with us here at TCT. I would encourage you to stand with us. We have a track record of almost 49 years of ministry, and we are going across the country ministering to people and bringing shows just like this one all across the country. Now, remember this is a live show, pastors are standing by ready to answer all of your questions, and you could simply submit those questions live on the air, and we would appreciate if you would do that. We want to hear from you.
You can simply send us a question and that [email protected] by email, or you if you're watching on Facebook and or YouTube, you can submit those questions there as well, or just scan that QR code right there on your screen if you would like to do that as well.
Well, without further ado, I want to introduce to you this wonderful panel of pastors we have with us today.
We have Pastor J. W. Webster, 100-fold Messianic Assembly, and that is in [music] beautiful Phoenix, Arizona. So great to see you, Pastor Webster.
We have Pastor Brian Feeney, [music] Dominion Faith Ministries International, Oshawa, Canada.
And we have Pastor Joseph Kalinowski, Strongsville Christian Church, and that is in Strongsville, Ohio.
And we have ending us off on the panel today, Pastor Stephen [music] Perry, Word Encounter Church, and that is in Detroit, Michigan.
Well, let's jump into this first question, pastors. You know, this first question is coming from California.
Rosa would like to know how much are you supposed to tithe? Can you answer that for us, Pastor Webster? Start us off today.
Yes, sir. Rosa from California. Now, I have a auntie [clears throat] in California named Rosa. I don't think she's asking this question, though. So, I'm going to get it started and the other pastors, if if I get it wrong, they're going to get me correct, okay?
Now, how much should we tithe? That's the age-old question. The Bible talks about it in the book of Malachi, chapter 3. It says you're cursed with a curse if you don't pay your tithe. That's what If you read it normally, that's what you will see. But, actually, if you start in Malachi, chapter 2, the scripture says this commandment is to you, oh priest.
So, God was talking to the priest, and the priest were cursed with a curse.
Why? Because they weren't bringing all the tithes to God. The people were giving all the tithes. God said, "Bring you all the tithes into the storehouse."
How could God say that if the people weren't giving all of it? So, the people were giving all, but the but the the priest were shaving off the top. And because they were shaving off the top, it caused the whole nation to be cursed.
Why? Because the priest went from uh the people to God. The prophet went from God to the people. So, the priest were a representation of the people. Now, Yeshua said Yeshua said in Matthew 23:23, "You tithe of mint, cumin, and all these other things, but you leave off the weightier matters of the law."
So, there's something more important.
Also, if you look in the scripture, it says that the Pharisees and scribe, they gave 10% faithfully. and the Lord said, "Our righteousness should exceed that of the Pharisees and the scribe." I think today, you really shouldn't stop at 10%.
Today, you give from your heart like Corinthians says, if your love increases, your giving increases. That's the right That's what I believe. Final answer. Amen. Thank you so much, Pastor Webster. What a start us off on that great question that's come in. We're going to go to you with that same question, uh Pastor Brian. What would you like to add to it?
What I wanted to add to that is when you get to the New Testament and you look at tithing, um neither Jesus, the apostles, or anybody taught 10% to give. And there was a significant reason for that, and that is because in the Bible, Jesus actually taught in Matthew 25 when he was talking about giving a coin to a slave. He said there was a landowner who took a coin and gave it to a slave, and he came back and seen how much they gathered and how much it duplicated. The scriptures reveal that all of it belongs to Christ, not a little bit of it. The Apostle Paul in the book of Corinthians, he or to the Corinthians, he said that give with a grateful heart. Give according to your heart.
Give what the what what God has put on your heart to give. He wasn't preaching a 10%. The reason for that, as Apostle Webster stated, is that it's not just a tithe. Everything belongs to Jesus Christ.
Amen, Pastor Brian. Everything belongs to the Lord. How about you, Pastor Colini? What would you like to add to this great question that's come in from Rosa?
Well, I think this is really a a good question and it it needs to come from the heart, not out of legalism. But Jesus did say in Matthew 20 23:23, he said, "You tithe with your mint and your cumin, but you neglect the the weightier matters of the law, such as love your neighbor and, you know, be compassionate." So, Jesus was saying that you shouldn't stop tithing. You know, there's when we give unto the Lord, remember we're not giving to the needs of the church. We're not giving to pay the electric bill. What we're doing is we're honoring the Lord out of love because God has been so good and ultimately 100% of everything including our life is God's and he's he could require that. He even said your body is not even your own. You were bought with a price. So I owe 100% of everything. The air I breathe, that's the Lord's. The food I eat, that's the Lord's. The earth is the fullness of So for me to give God 10% man, that's a that's a nice thing. That should be the basement. And so we're not doing it out of law or legalism cuz they gave tithes before there was law. They gave tithes before there was the the the rules and the religious uh system that man created. Tithing was done even before that. So this is God's system to bless his people. And I'm out.
>> [laughter] >> And I'm out. Amen Pastor Colletti. Thank you so much. Great questions so great questions so far and answers. We're going to end this question with you Pastor Perry. What would you like to add to it and then we're going to move on.
Yeah, just you know, when you start talking about tithes and it's a it's a highly debated uh thing even from a historical point of view.
First off, tithing just simply means 10%. So if you have a $100, that mean you give 10 cent I mean $100 out of $100 which is 10%. A few things about tithing historically up to about 500 years ago especially those cities where the Roman Catholic ruled the church. If you did not tithe, you went to jail. They they sent you right to jail. That that is a part of history that they did that. Now um, we we live in a time where people are kind of confused about tithing and giving and things of that nature.
Uh, one of the things we have to realize about tithing, tithing, um, unfortunately is a natural thing, but it got to be viewed from the from a place of of the spirit. And so a lot of times when we, um, look at giving, we only look at it from a natural perspective or we only look at it from the flesh, um, because according to the flesh to tithe or to give any type of offering to a church is foolish.
But when you are a kingdom-minded person and you live a life of faith, you don't view your giving from the eyes of the flesh, you view it from the eyes of the spirit. And your heart's desire is that the word of God and the kingdom of God might be produced on the earth. And, um, just like God needs you, he needs your finances to support, um, the church. He needs your finance to support the gospel because there's just some things that that hard work and sweat won't get. Um, some things you need financial increase to present to people just so that the gospel can be reached throughout the earth. Amen. Thank you so much, Pastor Perry.
We're going to end that question. We're going to come to you with this new question. This is coming to you, Pastor, uh, Feeney. This is from Oregon. Suzanne would like to know, it's come in by email, "Why did Jesus tell his disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit? When was the Holy Spirit created?" What a great question. Let's start with you.
That's That's a super question, uh, Suzanne. I I want to start off with the second part of the question first, which is easier to answer. The Holy Spirit was never created. He was from eternity past and you could see that in Genesis chapter 1 when you see the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit revealed in the first few verses of Genesis chapter 1. The question now, which is of great debate, is why did Jesus tell his disciples to wait for the promise of the Holy Spirit?
And the most significant reason for that is is that without the filling of the Holy Spirit, your ministry is not powerful. Now, that could cause a lot of dissension, but let's go back to the book of Acts.
Jesus told them to wait, and when it was when they were filled with the Holy Spirit that the manifestations and power, the pneuma of the Holy Spirit, began to manifest. You begin to see signs and wonders and miracles. Being filled with the Holy Spirit, today unfortunately is not emphasized enough.
And when people get saved, the first thing they think about, if they're like, I should go to school, or I should go to Bible college, or, you know, can I start doing ministry? And nobody's ever taught, listen, wait.
Go in your room and have that intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. And so, I would encourage anybody who gets saved to go lock yourself away with the Holy Spirit and meet him and be filled with his power and presence so that you can serve God faithfully.
Amen, Pastor Feeney. Absolutely. If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit, how much more do we need the Holy Spirit?
Pastor Coligny, we're going to come to you with this uh same question. Let me uh say one more time, why did Jesus tell his disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit when the Holy Spirit was created?
What would you like to add?
I agree with Pastor Brian. I think he did a great job. The Holy Spirit uh wasn't created. He is God. He always was. He always will be. He's the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. And I I want to read that scripture, Acts 1:8.
It says, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judaea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth." Listen, people are trying to go out there without no power.
And if you just go out there without no power, you're going to end up being a false witness. So, we're called not only to hold the word of God, but to hold the word of God in spirit and in truth and it is the power of God that touches hearts. It's the Holy Ghost that gives us wisdom on how to unlock hardened hearts, wounded souls, and to release power over the enemy. People are demon-possessed, they're sick, they're depressed, and the power of God goes through the people of God and it sets them free. The spirit of the Lord is upon me to set the captives free. So, we're not going to be like the vagabond Jews who are just going on their own without a relationship, quoting what Paul, quoting what pastor, quoting what so-and-so did, because we don't have a relationship. We have a relationship with Jesus Christ, and when we seek him out, he will fill us. He will pour his spirit upon all flesh. And when that happens, there's going to be signs and wonders, mighty exploits that will follow the children of God. So, we're going into a dark world and all kinds of things, but greater is he that's in me than he that's in the world, and I'm out. Amen. Thank you so much.
Interesting point there. Great point there, Pastor Colini. We're going to switch gears with this new question.
This is coming to you, Pastor Perry.
This is an anonymous viewer from YouTube, and this is the question: Are Christians called to help the poor even if they are not of the same faith? What would you like to add to that one?
Yeah, when you look at um I believe it's uh Hebrews 13, it says, "Let the weak bear the infirmities of the strong."
Um so, like it it's not it's not just are Christians supposed to help the poor even if they are not of the same faith.
Christians, we help the poor. The Bible tell us uh that when you give when you work for you give to the poor, you lend to God. Um it's the it's the Christian ethos. I mean, um when you look at the world that we live in today, most of what we have came from the Christian world and Christians were the ones that built hospitals. Christians were the ones who built schools. Christians were the ones who built colleges all over the world.
Um and as a result of it, we have an infrastructure in this world all because really Christians fought. Christians were the ones who fought for food pantries and the churches so much to the point where the federal government took that away from the church and they called it welfare. Amen. Um you know, so the church has always been there for the poor. Um the church has always done what it could for the poor. Um but one of the things that even Jesus told us is that the poor will always be with you.
Solomon told us. The poor will always be with you cuz sometimes people are poor not not just because they don't have money. Some people are poor because they make bad decisions and they continue to make bad decisions and they live a life full of bad decisions. And you know, no matter how many times you feed these people no many no matter that their life won't get better. So at some point you just doing it just because it's a good deed to do.
Um you know, so Christians have always helped the poor um even if they have not of of any faith and I know my time is up but you know no Christianity got such a bad rap right now and people ain't checking their stats. People are not checking the stats. They're not checking Amen. Thank you so much. We'll be right back. Don't [music] you go anywhere. We got to take a quick break. See you soon.

Do that by sending us an email at [email protected] or if you're watching right there on Facebook and or YouTube, you can submit those questions there or scan that QR code right there on your television screen and we would love to hear from you. Well, what a great show we have had so far. We're going to go to our next question here, and this is going to you, uh Pastor Webster.
And this same question, anonymous viewer from YouTube would like to know, are Christians called to help the poor even if they are not of the same faith? What would you like to add to that?
I would say I agree 100% with Pastor Peary, and the answer is yes. Because the scripture didn't, you know, we know the poor is Pastor Peary said it, the poor is going to be with us always. We know they're going to be around, okay? You're going to see the poor. But when the scripture is is indicting us to help the poor, he that gives to the poor lends to God. It didn't say he that gives to the poor Christian, or he that gives to the poor Buddhist. It just said he that gives to the poor lendeth to God. So, we have to make sure that we are not just, you know, when you see people on the street with the cardboard sign saying we need food, sometimes you're led to give, sometimes you're not. When you're spirit led, you'll know when to help, and you'll know when not to help. I helped a young man once, I gave him This is back in the '80s, people. I gave him a $5 bill, and he snatched it out of my hand as though I owed it to him. And and I was a young I was a I was a young minister then. I was a very young minister, and I wasn't soul delivered, okay? And so, when he snatched that when he snatched that $5 out of my hand, Pastor Vicente, I got angry. But then the Holy Ghost said, "What are you going to do?" And so, what the Lord was doing, I still had a temper back then. And the Lord was he was purging me of that temper by helping the poor. He had that man snatch that money from me, and then the Lord checked me. He checked my spirit. So, yes, we should help the poor, no matter what their status is. Be spirit led when you do it, but the answer is yes, final answer. Amen.
Interesting point there, Pastor Webster.
You know, we don't ask people what their faith is, we just give out of the love of Jesus. So, great answer on that.
We're going to end this question with you, Pastor Feeney, and we're going to move on, but what would you like to add to this wonderful question that's come in?
I wanted to I wanted to say this is Jesus' interpretation of the poor. He said in Luke 4:18, he said, "The spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor." In Jesus' eyes and the mind of God, the poor were the people that were spiritually deprived of the truth about how to come to salvation and how to come to the knowledge of God.
And so, when Jesus says, you know, "The poor you'll have with you always," it's not a financial representation that he's making, it is a fruit. It is another angle of being poor, but we have to expand our ideas and our understanding of when God looks at poor people, what's he referring to? And the truth of the matter is, poor is a result of the lack of the wisdom and the knowledge of our God, of our savior, Jesus Christ.
May I use the mic?
Thank you so much, uh, Pastor Feeney.
We're going to go to you with this new question. This is coming to you, Pastor Colini. This is from Randy in Iowa.
Randy would like to know, "How does 1 Corinthians chapter 1, verse 17 and Matthew chapter 28, verse 19 relate to one another?" What would you like to add to that, Pastor Colini? And this is really a great question. It almost appears like a contradiction cuz one scripture saying, "Go out into all the world and and baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost." And then Paul in another scripture was saying, "I wasn't called to baptize. I was called to preach the gospel." And by Paul doing what God called him to do, he was healing the sick, casting out demons. He was a wrecking ball for the kingdom of darkness. He was expanding God's kingdom because he was faithful to what God called him to do. And so, that's a note for us to take. Don't worry about what other people are called to do. Do what Be faithful to your own calling. And you know, hey, listen, baptism is great, you know? We did a baptism last Friday. It was amazing. It was the funniest baptism. You got to watch it to believe and see what happened. But But it's a great thing, but it's a ritual.
We're not saved through rituals. We're not saved through water baptism. Thief on the cross never was water baptized.
You know, we want to do communion, but the communion doesn't save us. It's just putting your faith and trust in the gospel of Jesus Christ. You know, Pastor Sam, me and you were at the prison the other day and we were doing communion.
And if you remember, we tried to do the communion for the inmates, the the grape juice got expired and it was fermenting.
They were going to turn that that communion wine into hooch. And so, we had to just do communion with just the cracker. So, you got to make do. Does that mean that God didn't honor that communion because the grape juice was turned into hooch? No, we you you make do with what God has called you and God will put his hand on it. And I'm out.
Amen. [laughter] Thank you so much, Pastor Colini, for putting a smile on my face today on that one. We're going to go to you, Pastor Perry, on this new question that's come in.
Um this new question is, "What does it mean to surrender to God?" This is coming from Evelyn, a YouTube viewer.
"What does it mean to surrender to God?"
What would you like to add?
So, a few things I want to I want to say I want to take us to Romans 12:1, very familiar scripture. It says, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." And then the second verse says, "And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you might prove what is good, acceptable, and the perfect will of God." First off, we got to understand that that that when we surrender ourselves to God, it's an intentional surrender that starts with your soul. You say to your mind, your will, and your emotions that God, I completely give myself over to you. Um I give my mind over to you. I give my heart over to you. I give my soul over to you.
And what at that point what happens is is that your body goes into the transition of following really what the spirit of God wants you to do. The Romans 8 and 1 says, "There's now therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." And people that want to live in sin, that's the only part that they want to get to, but they forget the rest of the text. "For they walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit." Essentially, surrendering to God means that I choose to walk in the spirit of God. I choose to follow and obey God. I Whatever you say, God, I completely surrender myself over to you.
Not all of me, not some of me, all of me. And so, that's what it means to surrender to God. Give it all over to God. Give yourself all over to God. And and and and I'm pretty sure the other pastors are going to hit this very well.
Amen. [snorts] Thank you so much, Pastor Perry, on that. How about you, Pastor Webster? We're going to go to you with that same question. What would you like to add to it?
Well, I would just say to surrender to God, think about what what surrendering is in the natural realm. Hands up.
Yeah. Down on the ground.
>> [laughter] >> Hands behind your back. Crawl backwards toward me. Come to the sound of my voice. You're in a surrendered mode. So, that surrender So, put that in the realm of the spirit. Hands up. Yes, Lord. Paul said that I might know him how? In the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his suffering. So, be When you surrender, you're ready to suffer.
You're ready to go through whatever God said. You don't complain. You know, God blesses us when we go through trials, but he don't only bless us just because we made it through. He bless us for how we go through. No murmuring, no complaining. When you surrender to the Lord, you don't murmur, you don't complain. You give up totally. You yield totally to the Lord. That's what surrender is. It's a total submission, a total giving up, and a person's nature will reflect that. They won't have to tell anybody. Paul said that I might apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. What does that mean? That means that Paul said I might take hold of the thing that Christ took hold of me for. That's when you're surrendered. When you're walking in that nature that Christ has called you, who he called you to be before you got into the earth realm.
When you find that, that's surrendering.
Total give up.
Amen. Thank you so much, Pastor Webster.
We're going to go to you with that same question, and then we're going to switch gears.
Um but what would you like to add to this, uh Pastor Feeney?
I wanted to mention that. I want to take you to the Bible story Abraham offering up Isaac. And uh Abraham lies lays Isaac on the altar, he raises the knife, and God says, "Okay, stop. Now I know that you fear me." But the funny part was is that Abraham never followed through, but God told him to stop.
He said, "I know that you fear me." The reason why I'm bringing this up is because surrender is not just an idea, but there's a an actionable uh reality that happens within you and between God that demonstrates that you have in fact surrendered what God has asked for to him. I know a lot of people say, "I give everything to God." And I'm going to be honest, everybody who says that for the most part is lying because the only way you know that you have given everything to God is when God comes to take the thing you said you've given up. It is an experience. It is a relationship. And God is wanting us to know what we have surrendered, not intellectually, not just testimonially, but experientially we can say, you know, Kathryn Kuhlman, she knows the day she laid everything down. It is a moment to be experienced.
Amen, Pastor Feeney. Praise God on that one.
We're going to go to that same question.
We're going to go to you, Pastor Coligny, on that same question now.
What does it mean to totally surrender to God? What a phenomenal question that really come in. What would you like to add?
Well, this is a good question and you know, a lot of times as Christians we could be bad witnesses for Christ. You know, we could just sing this story, woe is me, it's so hard to serve God. We we know all the the Bible verses, all those that live godly in Christ will suffer persecution, tribulation. We just we just focus on Job. Job was just under attack day. We quote all those scriptures, but there's more to God than just hardship. You know, the Bible says that he takes us from glory to glory, victory to victory.
He has got good plans for us and when you surrender for God, surrender to God, you're pretty much saying no to yourself, no to pride, no to your flesh and you're yielding to the spirit of God. You're being led by his word, led by his spirit. And when you do that, you are going to connect with peace, you're going to connect with joy, you're going to believe and stand in the promises of God. And surrendering to God is the thing you can do in life. It it it's how you access the favor of God in your life. It's how you access the power of God by surrendering to him. God is not looking to just drag you through the mud for the fun of it. You know, Jeremiah 29:11, for I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, of hope, of a good future. So when you surrender to God, what you're doing is you're you're walking in the greatness of the Lord and you're doing what God said, and you will tap into that strength to overcome all the attacks of the enemy, and I'm out.
Amen. Thank you so much, Pastor Colini.
We're going to go to you, Pastor Webster, with this new question that's come in.
This is from Jonathan in New Jersey.
Jonathan would like to know, "Can you explain the seven bowls in Revelation 19?"
And uh you you got about 19 minute or 19 seconds to do that, Pastor Webster. Can you do that?
>> [laughter] >> Okay. Uh first of all, the answer is no.
First of all, the answer is no. I can't explain the seven bowls, but I can tell you this much about the seven bowls. The seven bowls are the are actually the the punishment or the seven bowls are being poured out, the judgment of God against the kingdom of the beast and the people who took the mark of the beast. Those bowls are judgment upon those people.
And now, and if you look in Revelation chapter 11, it talks about the two witnesses who will be the executor of those bowls. And so, that's the wrath of God being poured out up on the children who took the children of the beast who took the mark of the beast. Now, what's actually in those bowls and what those bowls are contained, that I don't know, but I know it's going to be the [clears throat] wrath of God.
Amen. Thank you so much, Pastor Webster.
I knew you could do it. We're going to go to you, Pastor Feeney, on that same question. Can you please explain the seven bowls in Revelation chapter 16.
Uh really great. I love this question, and uh the first thing I want to say is if you do some studying and do investigating, the seven bowl or the seven bowl judgments that you read in the book of Revelation chapter 16 actually parallel the judgments that God poured out on the children of Egypt. And uh there's a great parallel there, and it's the judgment on the Antichrist and his kingdom. But, here's something that I wanted to just bring to light so that maybe it will shift your focus while reading the book of Revelation. The book of Revelation means unveiling or pulling back. And And the funny part is is that it's one of the books that we don't understand the most that everybody has all these ideas about. The Greek word for Revelation is apocalypsis in Greek.
It's where we get the word apocalypse.
The funny part is is everybody equates apocalypse with destruction, judgment, and the end times. And that is not what Jesus Christ meant. The word apocalypse is the unveiling and the revealing of revealing Jesus Christ in his heavenly kingdom.
So, the book of Revelation isn't about the judgments as much as it's about the revelation of Jesus Christ in his kingdom in all his glory and all his power. And that's what we should be focusing on. And I yield the mic to you, brother.
Amen. Great job, uh, Pastor Feeney.
Great response. We're going to go to you, uh, with this new question that's come in. Pastor Colini, this new question's, uh, from Kristen, a YouTube viewer, would like to know, "What does the Bible mean by the right hand of God, and does it refer to Jesus?" What would you like to add to that one?
Well, thank you, Pastor Sam. First of all, it's good to see you hosting today, and I'm glad I didn't have to come behind Pastor Brian on that profound revelation answer cuz, uh, there was nowhere to go but down after that answer. That was good. So, um, you know, the Bible does talk about the right hand, and actually Charles Stanley did a great teaching on the right hand of God.
And, um, you know, Jesus said when the disciples said, "Can we sit at the right hand?" He said, "You don't even know what you're asking. It's not yours to be given, but my father's." So, these are decisions that God makes. And the right is going to Put Put it this way. The right is referring to anything that is of God and the left is referring to anything that is not of God. That does not mean left-handed people are cursed.
It doesn't mean right-handed people are blessed. This is symbolic. And the Bible says in Psalms 118:16, it says the Lord's right hand is lifted high and the Lord's right hand does mighty things.
And if you just do a search on right hand in your Bible, Pastor Sam, you'll just see right hand showing up throughout the entire Bible. It's kind of a cool study to do. And um so yeah, is it pertaining is it Jesus himself?
I'm not going to say that, but it pertains to anything that's of Jesus, of God, of the Holy Spirit, of the Father.
And so it's pertaining to the goodness of God or the hand of God.
Amen. Thank you so [music] much, Pastor Coligny. And pastors, we got to take a quick break. Don't you go anywhere.

Well, we're going to go to Pastor Perry.
What a great We're going to kick the pace up here a little bit, pastors. But we're going to go to you, Pastor Perry, on this a new question that's come in.
This is from Anne in Facebook viewer.
Anne would like to know, "What does unction mean in the Bible?" What another great question, Pastor Perry. Start us off.
Hey.
Hey Anne, thank you for your question.
So, a few things we're going to look at 1 John 2:20. The Bible says, "But you have an unction from the Holy One and you know all things." And then you go to 1 John 2:27. It says, "But the anointing which you have received of of him abideth in you." So, whenever the Bible is talking about unction, it's talking about the anointing.
Um you may not be familiar with what the anointing mean. Anointing um um means really a few things. Um, often times when a king is anointed, um that means that they um been laid hands on, uh been presented to go forth to do a work, to finish and complete a work. Um, and so a lot of times you would have uh uh whoever the senior priest was or or the prophet would come and they would lay hands on the king. But in the New Testament, when it's talking about the unction or the anointing, it means that the spirit of God had has fallen on you in particular for an assignment to do something. Uh to to to to do something.
All of us on here are pastors, but every single one of us have a different anointing. We have a different breakthrough. We have a a different uh skill set that only God can give us. Um, one person may come and try to do the same thing, but they may not get the same result. But if God let us do it because he anointed us to do it, we get a a different result by way of the Holy Ghost. So, the Bible when the Bible's talking about unction, it's essentially talking about the Holy Spirit. It's talking about the work of the Holy Spirit, and it's talking about the grace of God on a particular person's life.
Amen. Thank [snorts] you so much, Pastor Perry. We're going to go to you, Pastor Webster, on this question that's come in from named Candace watching on Facebook.
This is a question, Pastor Webster. How can inappropriate clothing in church become a stumbling block to other believers? What would you like to add to this one there, Pastor Webster?
Well well, um inappropriate clothing, I'm assuming this person is saying someone is coming to church dressed in provocatively. When the scripture says that we should wear modest clothing, how could it be a stumbling block? Because everyone in the congregation is not strong. The scripture said, take heed lest this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to them that are weak. The weak stumble to them that are weak. So, when you dress a certain way, everybody in the church is not strong. The pastors, the elders, whoever's in office, they may be able to handle it and may not bother them. But then again, the scripture says we should dress modestly.
So, it's it's a it's about not just offending other people, but it's about where is your mind at? Where is your mindset at? Why are you dressing like that anyway, you know? Male or female.
Why are we scantily clothed anyway? What what what's on our mind, you know? So, we got to think about that both ways.
How it can hit to someone who's not strong, and then what are you doing it for? What's your purpose? Final answer.
Amen. Only turtleneck, Pastor Webster.
We're going to go to you with that.
>> [laughter] >> We're going to go to you with the new question. This is going to you, Pastor Feeney. This is uh Daniel. Daniel would like to know who were the Bereans and what example did they set for Bible study?
I absolutely love this question because this is the this is the Achilles heel to the modern-day church.
The Bereans were a group of people that Paul went to preach to in Athens. And when he spoke to them, they went to the scriptures to see if what Paul had said was true.
So, they did not just accept what they were told, they went to the word of God and did their own study. Now, today, most people's Bible study consists of a 1-hour sitting in front of a pastor on a Sunday and then the rest of the week living in the world, but not digging into the word of God. And the Bible says that the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians. Why? Because the Bereans said, "Paul, I respect you. I appreciate what you say. I appreciate what you do. But now I'm going to go to the word of God and see if the Holy Spirit bears witness to what you're saying." And I have to say this, if you are a Berean and you [clears throat] study and you hear the word of God, you will be built into you will grow you will mature. And whatever like we got to stop asking people what they think and we got to get in the face of God, get into the word of God and study to show ourselves approved.
Amen, Pastor Feeney. You got me excited on that question. Thank you so much.
We're going to go to you with this new question. This is going to you, Pastor Collini. This is Ali. Ali would like to know, can the enemy attack Christians through dreams? And what should someone do if they keep having trouble dreams even after praying and repenting?
Can you help Ali out or or friends or anything? Can you Can you add to that?
Yeah, so I appreciate the question and I really admire the fact that you're saying yourself or whoever is praying and repenting. That's great. And a lot of times we think of praying and repenting and then people do not change anything.
They keep They do the same thing. They repent, do the same thing, they repent, do the same thing, repent. Repenting is actually turning away from it and not going back. So, we just have to make sure if that is the case that the person is not doing that. Um we have to make sure that no one that every door is closed uh to the enemy from coming into your life. Make sure you you have no unforgiveness.
You have no um jealousy. You know, anything where the enemy can gain access. No pride where you're looking down on the self-righteousness.
Make sure the Lord really checks your heart cuz that could be a door. Um but that being said, sometimes you're just you're pleasing God. You're serving God.
You're walking in holiness. You're doing what God called you to do and the enemy still attacks you. Think it not strange as though some strange thing is happening to you. The fiery darts are coming into your life. Claim your authority even in the dream. You know, speak life. Speak Say the name of Jesus.
I'll tell you, if the enemy comes to me in the dream, I'm going to use the name of Jesus and chase him. I'm going to I I had dreams where I actually killed demons in dreams. I choked them out. And they came and they attacked me. I beat them up. They ran from me and I told them to come back again and I beat them up again. And they disappear. Use your authority in the name of Jesus even in the dreams. And I pray God will give you peace and rest. Amen. Thank you so much Pastor Coligny. I'm not getting in front of you. I know that. But we're going to go to you with this new question. This is going to you, Pastor Perry.
This is from Jabez. Jabez would like to know what lessons can we learn from Hannah in 1 Samuel chapter 1 through 2?
Yeah, Hannah was a barren woman. And she had another lady that was coming up to her by the name of Peninnah. And Peninnah was pretty much agitating her about the fact that she was able to have babies but Hannah wasn't.
So a few things that we get out of Hannah. Number one, Hannah trusted God.
She She believed that in the end that God was going to always prevail no matter if her husband believed her, no matter if the king believed her, no matter what people thought Hannah was crazy. She still believed God that she was going to have a baby through everything.
I want to encourage somebody today that may be listening to TCT especially for those of us that are ministry or whatever it is that we we heard God tell us to do something. It may not look like it got fruit. It look like people might have got there before before we did. It may have came through you know, you know, unintegral ways.
Still follow God all the way through.
God is going to show up in the end. Um, that is what Hannah knew. Hannah knew that God would not embarrass her. And we already had this question, but she was completely surrendered to God.
Um, for you to go through certain things, you got to be completely surrendered to God.
Um, because if you don't, you're going to always take your ball home. It is not if it hit you, it's when it hit you.
Every single one of us pastors on here, we've been through that crossroads.
Sometimes we go through that every single week. Amen. But, uh, but we still trust God through it all. And so, for me, that lesson be trust God through everything. Uh, even if it don't happen in this lifetime, it happen in God's time.
Thank you so much, Pastor Perry. And it is a great story uh, in the Bible. One of my favorites, actually. We're going to go to you, Pastor Webster, on this new question.
This is from Daniel. Daniel would like to know, how can we tell the difference between being led by God and being driven by our own thoughts, fear, or overthinking? What another great question. Can you help?
Yes, let me see if I can help Daniel out.
Uh, Daniel, you're getting a lot of questions in here. Okay, so, um, Daniel, I would say this. I would say this, um, you can tell the difference by comparing the things that are happening to you to the Bible. You can know when you're, uh, flowing in the spirit, when your life aligns with the Bible. Now, being led by God is going to be confirming the scriptures. Well, now, when I say that, that sound like a really pat answer, but when I say that, if you want to know if you're being led by God, when you look into the Bible, the Bible tells we have mentors, we have pastors, we have associates that we can talk to, we have people that we can pray with, and you will get confirmation. But, it's sometimes it only happens in growth.
Sometimes you will grow in God, and then you'll know, as you grow through your experiences, whether bad or good, then you begin to learn whether or not you're being led by the spirit of God.
Sometimes somebody just telling you it might not click. You might have to go through some things, bump your head a few times, but you'll know when you're flowing in the spirit of God because your life will align itself to the word and the fruit of the spirit, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, temperance, and faith will be manifested in you. That's how you'll know.
Amen. Thank you so much, Pastor Webster.
We're going to go to you with this new question. This is coming from Cat here, uh Pastor Feeney, and this is going to you, Facebook viewer.
Are Christians supposed to fully understand salvation intellectually or simply accept it by faith? Wow. Help us out, Pastor Feeney. What a uh beautiful question right in my alley.
I love this.
Um the Bible says, "Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus." That's number one. Number two, the Bible says, "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind." God gave us a mind and an intellect and an understanding for a reason. The agency of change for every human being, the agency of change is the mind. God changes the way you think. He has the power to change what you become.
And so, what we need to do is we need to eventually, now listen, we receive Christ by faith as a beginning seed, but we grow up as a mature person in Christ and we intellectually in our mind begin to receive revelation, understanding, illumination of the will and the knowledge and the things of God and how he works and how he operates. I know, you know, a lot of people are against the mind sometimes, but truly a mind submitted to God, a mind submitted to the Holy Spirit and being allowed to speak to and to change, I'll tell you right now, the greatest changed people on the planet are the ones whose minds were transformed and who they allowed the mind of Christ to prevail inside them.
Amen. Thank you. Amen. Thank you so much, Pastor Feeney. Great response to that. I think we got to stick on this same question. We're going to go to you Pastor Colclasure on that same question.
Pastor Feeney really started us off wonderfully on that question, but I think you got something on that Pastor Colclasure. What would you like to add to that one?
Yeah, I think it's both. We need to have faith and we need to have our minds understanding that we're saved. You know, if we just go on faith alone, the Bible says even the demons believe, you know, and they tremble. And so we do we're saved by faith, you know, we're saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not of works such anyone least any man shall boast, but that being said, we also need to understand in our mind that we are born again. And so when when a negative thought comes into your mind, you have a right to compare whatever temporal petty situation, no matter how bad it seems in the natural, weigh that and compare that with you're saved. What this this challenge that I'm going through, this battle that I'm going through, this person that forgot to like my post on Facebook, this person that's got a chip on their shoulder against me, what does that have to do with my salvation? And so what happens is you realize that you're born again, you're saved, your name's written in the Lamb's Book of Life. That gives you a a strong peace and joy to remember that whatever happens in this world is temporal. I'm passing through and my goal is heaven.
And so no matter what the devil does to try to discourage me, no matter how many people falsely accuse, no matter how many people don't like me, no matter how many people won't give me their approval, no matter what I do, I got God's approval. I'm saved. And so meditate on your salvation, you'll have peace and joy. And you'll be able to transfer that everywhere you go. That joy that you were the joy of salvation.
So keep your thoughts and your faith knowing that you're born again.
Amen. Thank you so much, Pastor Colini.
We're going to go to you, Pastor Perry, on this new question that's come in.
This is from Joyce, YouTube viewer, would like to know, does once saved always saved mean a person who permanently turns away and never repents is still saved? What would you like to add to that one? Great question.
Yes, so whenever we use that does moniker once saved always saved comes from the doctrine of election or limited atonement.
And so, like we're going to we're going to start with there.
Once saved always saved for me, for believer, once you are truly saved, you are saved.
What I mean by that, you're going to want to live right, you're going to want to get in the word, you're going to want to do things to please God. Even if you don't know what you're doing, you're going to show up and do what you got to do.
And then I I know I hear the arguments a lot of time, well, you know, people did get saved and then they went back out there. Listen, man, I've experienced the goodness of God.
I've I've experienced the the true love of God. Man, it ain't nothing out there that's better than loving God. It's It's Listen, I'm telling you, not an alcohol, not a sex, not a woman, nothing is better than living a life for Christ. Nothing is better. So, it it it raised the question, how could you live in consistent unrepented sin? If you got the Holy Ghost, it's impossible for you to live in consistent unrepented sin cuz somebody, the Holy Ghost, is going to be bugging you.
You got saints in the church that's going to be checking you like, man, you know, you know, you probably shouldn't, you know, be in that that that relationship and y'all not married, you know, you know, you're going to be in an environment where you're going to want to try to please the Lord. So, no, it's impossible for a person to get saved and living consistent unrepentant sin. They are not saved.
Amen. Thank you so much, Pastor Perry.
We We We're going to go with that same question. This is going to you, Pastor Webster. We got about 30 seconds, but what would you like to add? 30 seconds.
Um I I agree with Pastor Perry. I'll just say really quickly that um you know, the Bible said that I mean the scriptures are talking about people who once had the faith, but God turned on them. The Lord The Bible said in Romans chapter 1, there come a point where the Lord will just give up on you. So, when someone says once saved, always saved, I don't think they're saying what we see written here, what we see in this question. I don't think they're saying that. Amen. Thank you so much, Pastor Perry. We can't thank our partners enough who stand with us here at TCT.
