Spain has multiple police forces with distinct roles: the Civil Guard (founded 1844) is the oldest force with military characteristics, handling rural areas, traffic, borders, and counterterrorism; the National Police operates in larger cities dealing with serious crimes and cybercrime; and Local Police provide community-focused services with newer vehicles. Emergency services can be contacted by dialing 112, which is understood by English speakers, and the Alert Cops app provides location-based emergency assistance.

Torrevieja Flooding Update & Subscriber Meetup in Spain !!Added:
Paradise world videos.
Paradise perfect.
Paradise within >> paradise world videos to be via 10th of May and it's going to be a scorchery this week. Yeah, I know it's crazy ain't it? Absolute crazy weather. We've had four seasons literally in one day over the last few weeks. And yes, these videos you can see it was storming our storms and of course the Mercia region, Los Aleres and we did do a lot of videos in Los Aleres and you do get a lot of bargains down here but they are prone to flooding. Yeah, very well known Maranor 125 L worth of rain. Lots of areas are flooded and of course other areas around the region got flooded as well and to be va of course some streets get flooded and or costa but yeah lo caferes is really known for flooding but good news is like I mentioned summer's back summer is literally back all week it's going to be a blinder it's going to be a scorcher and uh while we're walking around of course we're going to update you all the latest news and one of the latest news is the weather because um the amit says It's going to be otter than normal May and June than many many years. A lot hotter. But they're saying the rain hasn't gone away. So in today's videos, we walk around Tora without the prominard because yesterday he was deserted. Of course, it was gray miserable and uh our stones storms galore never stopped pelting down a rain all day. In the afternoon, the sun did pop out. The blue sky has returned and that's what we got. But we're going to update you the latest bus by the police here in Spain. And yeah, one of the biggest bust seizure of cocaine in the history. The largest single cocaine seizure worldwide. Yes, worldwide. And it was all done by the Spanish authorities, the Guardia civil. They actually intercepted a vessel 30 tons of cocaine. Yeah. And the total seizure and all was about 41 tons alongside 8 1/2 tons of um hashes. Lots of drug bus lately. So much there can't be any more left. But um yeah, this is um all been going on involved um actions in the Canary Islands and Elucia Mercia several major parts of Spain.
>> According to the police, sources are saying the ship had actually sailed from the coast of West Africa. Although um the investigators do believe the drugs themselves originated somewhere else and um saying the Spain may not have been the final destination.
When they raided the vessel, there was actually six men on board armed up to the eyes with weapons. They had these MP4 assault rifles and um all these pistols and that when they um actually raided the boat, they believe the shipment was linked to the notorious Mockrom Mafia network. Wow. How many mafia networks out there which do have roots they're saying in Netherlands and they've been trafficking drugs all across Europe. As I reported, there's been other drug busts recently. 13th of April, there was one Alpha Limo and they busted another network that was working through Spain, Cadets and around Almira and Mercia, but a lot of operations going on at the moment and a lot of people are getting busted like I say must be running out of drugs must be putting the price of drugs back up. But that is the news of the latest biggest ever drug bust worldwide.
they're saying. But um there is other bits of news as well going on here in Spain and it's holiday season and I know a lot of people you know post on Facebook the little apartment or holiday home to let for a few weeks but you got to be really careful because the Spanish government are really clamping down on this. But you got to be really careful cuz you can end up with a big fine and we're looking about 600,000 and a lot of people go well I haven't got that kind of money. Well, straight away they're going to take your your house away or your apartment that you're renting. And they're saying they got people working on the social media platforms, checking for properties that are not proper registered with the tourist board cuz as you know, you got to have a tourist license. And also recently they've um added a registration number. So even though you got a tourist license, you still got to have a registration number. So make sure if you are renting out that you are fully covered cuz you know here in Spain they have got a lot of police forces and they've got time to investigate all these kind of things. You have got the local, the national and the civil guard police and they all have different roles here in Spain. The Civil Guard is literally the oldest police force here in Spain, which was actually founded in 1844.
And it's more like a kind of military nature, meaning it operates under both the ministry and the interior of the Ministry Defense, which does involve quite a few things, which is like police in the rural areas, small towns, and of course, traffic, highways, all things like that. and also borders and coastal security and um they of course do the counterterrorism and all the serious crimes. They are the big boys here in Spain. They're the ones you don't really want to mess about with cuz they don't smile at all. And you probably might have seen them on roundabouts and yeah, all toled up to the nines with rifles.
Serious serious people and they do work with serious organized crime networks as well. all the kind of counterterrorism and all things like that and specialist units and mountain rescues. So yeah, they involve quite a lot and then you got your national police and uh they're like civilian sort of police really force mainly operates in larger towns and uh cities and they're like handling also kind of serious crimes, robberies, organized crime, you know, the old cyber crime now you know plenty of that going on at the moment. scamming people from the internets and fishing scams on their messages and all things like that. So they they do a lot of that and of course they um check on other things as well.
They like managing immigration passports. Sure. The um national ID cards, you know, people applying for the TIE, the the Denny DNI, and of course, they're the ones that check everything out, make sure you're all legit and you got all the right paperwork you need if you're making that move to Spain. Of course, if you're getting a visa, as you know, you do need private health insurance, criminal check, and of course, tick all the boxes. What you do need if you want to make that move, like x amount of money you need per person, and which we have done many videos of, you can check that out if you are thinking of making that move to Spain and you want to apply for a visa. If you go on to me website paradiseworldvideos.com got all the information on there and of course uh insuranceances if you do need a specialist health insurance because they won't let you just give any old insurance when you're doing a visa you do need good cover and on the website we've got grand camp we got a link you can contact him and uh he will give you the uh price breakdown basically and there's all different breakdowns and different prices you can uh opt for and and they will qualify you if you are applying for the visa. I know a lot of people really contacted him because he's so cheap on house insurance. You can literally get your house insured for less than $100 and the same car insurance. I know a lot of you have contacted on there. So yeah, if you are looking for any insuranceances or visa information on the website, we got all the videos and we got the contact forms. It's in the link section. So yeah, paradiseworldvideos.com and that is the page. So yeah, by the way, we have, of course, there's one more police force we haven't mentioned, and that is your local police, and they're the more friendly ones because they're local. They know basically all the faces, people in and out the areas, and they literally know what's going on.
So you will see them quite a lot. In fact, they got the best looking cars.
their cars are all clean and not unlike the old uh civil guard sometimes they look a bit battered up, broken lights and all sorts. But yeah, the local police seem to have the best newish cars and uh the local police like I say are a lot friendly and they um do do like other jobs of course same as the others.
They do the um highways and things like that, breakdowns basically um assist the main bods, they assist the old national police and a civil guard.
But yeah, free police forces. So yeah, can't go wrong here, can you? That's why they're cracking crime all the time. And uh here in Spain, uh they're all buzzing around. Unfortunately for the Oruro Costa, they don't seem to have hardly any police. Very low on police presence there. They seem to concentrate in Toruga and other regions. But there has been a bit uproar about the the police.
But um if they do need backup, of course, the big boys will come in, the civil guard and the national police. So, that is good to know. And of course, if you do need the police or the fire brigade or any emergency services, ambulance, it's 112 and they do speak English, so you'll have no problem. And also, you can get the app as well on your phone, which we plugged this before. You can go into Google store, Apple Store. It's called Alert Cops. And you go on to this app, Alert Cops, and it's very good. You can just literally once you've installed it, you just like press whatever service you want and they know exactly where you are and they'll be there in no time. Meanwhile, we're up the Pinard, we clock ticking for the project. But yeah, it's just 11:00 now on the Prominard.
Plenty of people walking around as you expect because it is going to be a nice day. So, they'll all be having their breakfast and no doubt up the far end on the beach they'll be sunbathing.
We got a little update as well about the hunter virus. We of course that was the last video we done. Uh wanted to dock here in Spain. It had been turned away from Cape Verdie and many other places.
Sanchez agreed for it to come into the Canary Islands.
even though um the local government there didn't want the boat there, but it's been overruled and it's expected to be docking today on the Tenneref 10th of May. And the people on the boat are going to be quarantined cuz there's like 23 English people on the boat as well.
They're going to be quarantined for 25 days in a special quarantine center. Uh meanwhile, there has been an outbreak in parts of Spain as well. say outbreak.
There's been cases and one of them's come forward and they're in the hospital now suspected of the Hunter virus and uh they're going to be checked out and find out if it's all okay.

>> I watched it as soon as you put it on six minute cuz I watch it when it come >> cuz it was hell stones and everything.
>> Yeah. Bad. Yeah.
>> And my dog was shaking like a leaf all day. So I might have to get some of that stuff off Roy.
>> It's calms a dog down in it. Apparently it's really good. A few of my friends have said they use it and they didn't know that I was in contact.
>> So yeah, if you do need it, you get 10% discount.
>> Yeah. Go down the links.
>> Keeper than that. My friend >> your best friend. Okay. All right. He's a nice bloke. So how long you've been here?

>> Yeah. Well, we had a year off work this year. One year off.
>> One year. It's your fault why we've got it so bad.
>> Yeah. We sold this bar and we had one year off and then go again.
>> It is nice to be veer cuz it's lively, isn't it? Like all all year round.

>> Here we go.
>> Thank you very much.
>> Oh, you're least support. So, you might want blue, might you? Let's see if I got a blue one.
>> There we go. Happy days. See you later.
>> Take care. Bye.
There we go. Nice couple. Been here 26 years living in Spain. I know. By the way, that ges are spouting out his noise over there trying to sell some vegetables.
>> Yeah, we got one that goes around and wants to sharpen the knives. But this is Spain, ain't it? E, this is the culture.
But look at this today. It's absolutely amazing.
Completely different to what it has been the last two days.
He's even catching his fish for breakfast.
So, uh, yeah, let's get back to the what's going on. So, we've done the video about this ant virus, not the panic and everything, but there are a few cases spurting around of what's going on. And yeah, it all seems these viruses are coming from bats and rats and all kind of animals. The last one, they say they went out to a kind of garbage dump. Bird watching. Who goes to garbage dumps looking at birds? And apparently they're the ones that brought on the boat. So they say, of course, you only know what they tell you. And u there's no way um this is all going to be happening again, this lockdown business, cuz I don't think anybody will put up with all this again, this um business of being locked down and COVID mask. But when you uh look at the pictures of this um boat and the people that were coming off, you're literally um all wrapped up with a protective gear. But um don't panic.
It's not that serious. I know the Spanish people weren't happy about it dogging it and he weren't happy. The local government there in Tenneref, they didn't want it coming in.
Yeah. I don't know. It's not scaremongering. We're just reporting what is going on. And I know a lot of you go, "Here we go again. There's always a new virus."
It always seems to be from animals.
But the Spanish argument was the people here, why are they allowing it to come here? It's not even uh part of Spain, the ship, and it's been rejected everywhere else. Suppose Sanchez wants to get in the good books.
Yeah, that restaurant just there next door aloft roous, the new one. It's the Swedish one.
Actually sitting there with a wife the other day. I mean um we had a large glass of lemonade. It was €3 and a beer.
€2.95. It was a point, but um yeah, it did look a bit pricey. Oi.

>> Yeah. Yeah. Well, Oruro Costa is a very mixed nationality there. Anyway, you've got a lot of English experts.

>> Flame is until you email me and we'll find you something. Tell me your budget and we'll sort it out. Great. Nice meeting you. 260 with I think 300 something like that. It's 1210 is it? 13 12. So yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Great. Enjoy the rest of your day. See you later. Take care. Have a lovely.
Bye. See you.
>> Here we go. That's two subscribers down already and we even got to the other end. But yeah, there are a lot of people do message me of course about the the bank properties as well, the debt properties. But I'll keep telling you if you message me always give to good to give um your WhatsApp number because then we can WhatsApp you all the information and all the properties and everything. It's just a lot quicker and easier.
But yeah, up by the middle it is getting more busier as we walk along.
And yeah, even they're having their ice creams.
>> Yeah, big big difference in it. Now there ain't no lookie lookie about. The police have proper done a good job.
You've only got the ones walking with their sunglasses and they do come up here patrolling now quite often the police cars. So um I think the look got fed up. All the gear keep getting taken. So they really stepped up all because of this um investment going on here. They just want to clean the area up. So the beach is filling up. There we go. Someone's having a nice old little massage there.
Oh, another one as well. Yeah, old china chops are having a right ear at it today.
Of course, it's holiday season now and we're in for a treat. The sun is here all week, but that's what we know. There is no rain forecast at all. And yeah, it's just going to be blue skies around about 25°.
So, let's see if it's going to be one of the hottest May and June, as they say.
Normally, they say if you do have a bad winter, you do um get a good summer. And you It's always hot anyway. I mean, June, July, wow, talk about mid-30s, sometimes 40s. And I know a lot of people don't like it too hot. I don't know about you, a lot of people just go back home for the summer a lot cooler and they come back here end of September cuz September, you know, could still be mid30s.
Remember, if you are coming to Spain, um don't uh lack in your guard. Don't think, you know, you're safe from all the scammers and the muggers. It don't matter where you are, what part of Spain or what part of the world. There is the opportunist and there are the professional scammers and muggers and we do hear that stories especially even when they go shopping the distraction where they uh distract you with a map or ask questions and end up going down your bag and getting your wallet. This is so common, really common. And uh yeah, obviously the locals and people that come here do um you know, keep alert, but there's always a few that just relax their guard and just make sure no one gets too close to you.
Make sure they're a good length away because um once you let them get close, that's when they will start the hugging and mugging. And when we say hugging and mugging, they'll give you a cuddle.
Thank you very much for helping me with them directions. and then they wrapped your chain and they're gone. Sometimes you fill it. Sometimes you don't you don't realize you've been mugged till later because they're so good at getting that chain off. They know exactly how to uncip it. And some of them they just grab it and run to the getaway car. And then you hear the stories of course where they um got the wallet as well.
These are happening all the time, not just here, all around the world. So be careful if you're going out. I tell you all the time. For the women, you need your bag at the front here. Hello. Hello there, my friend.
>> Softly.
>> Yeah. How you getting on?
>> I'm all right. I'm get my way around. I got I've read I've got a bike.
>> You got a bike now?
>> Yeah.
>> Good. Weather's a lot different today to yesterday.
>> Sorry. Oh, >> yeah.
>> You know, yesterday afternoon was No, afternoon was all right.
>> Yeah, afternoon it come out.
>> This lot yesterday morning. I saw your mod yesterday at 7:00.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hell stones, bunch.
Nothing.
>> Oh, I know. But we thought someone were throwing stones at the window and then it was hell stones.
>> You do the rest of your time. Yeah.
>> Yeah, I'll um I'll Yeah, I will do.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Taxis is all right to phone a taxi here.
>> Yeah, you can.
>> Yeah, you can get a taxi. They have got taxi stops in Tora just by the bus station down the side.
>> Yeah, but not over.
>> You got a t taxi rank. No, down this end. You'll have to call them. Yeah, you won't. You can't al them off the street, >> can't you? No, you can't add them off the street. You have to ring up the taxi.
>> Oh, I see.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, that's right.
>> And that's if you're lucky enough to get a taxi.
>> If they say they're coming, do they come?
>> Uh, yeah, maybe one or two hours later if you're lucky. And, uh, yeah, talk about taxis in Spain. Um, this is another thing as well. The police were doing a big raid the other day, a roadblock. Like I say, they got a lot of police. They got time for this. Done a roadblock on illegal taxes. I don't know what you think about illegal taxes. All I know is he just asked me about taxis.
Well, you can't get a taxi now. Let them know when the summer comes because you can be waiting an hour, two hours more, they never turn up and at the airports long cues for taxis. That's why um a lot of people do eye the cars in if you want cheap car as well. I'll post down there in the description in the links. We got um referral company here in Torca.
Casada car rental was €22 a day. And the good thing is there ain't no big scam deposits or getting ripped off. Yeah.
They will um do the old transfers and everything. Casada car rentals. Yeah. So if you are looking to come over, get that because the taxes will be a nightmare getting one. And yeah, would they turn up? He said it depends if you're lucky. So yeah, I don't see what the problem is. Illegal taxes. What you think about it? It's just like your mate picking you up really earning a few quid for the petrol. But they are clamping down on it. I think they need to start getting their um house in order first.
Start getting enough taxes before they start moaning the taxi people or losing business because they ain't losing no business cuz they're always busy.
Look at this. Told you be busy. So this is the far end.
Nice, eh?
Nice to see the beach busy again after a few days and the old bars full up again.
So the disabled bits here as well look after the disabled people here in Spain got the disabled cover and they'll have all the disabled seats that will get them out so they can have a dip.
So if you are on your way over to Spain, nothing to worry about. It's paradise is back. The sun is back.
Just need your sun cream and then you can come and live the dream here just like the rest of these people.
So that is today's video on the Costa Blanca with all the latest news. The under virus, is it going to keep spreading?
Let us know what you think about it and the taxes.
>> Just before I go, I'd like to say a big thank you for the people that have been buying me coffees. Really appreciate the coffees and the super thanks. Appreciate all the support. And uh yeah, definitely check out the next video up here cuz now we're off to a different part of Tori Vieca.
