Don't Pay for "Slot Tips" - You're Not Going to Beat the Casino — Here's Why

So, we're talking about a really big topic today and that is people out there selling you stuff, a book, a strategy, a lesson, whatever the case is on how to beat slot machines. Is it actually possible? Is there any truth to any of this stuff or are they just praying on the desperate and gullible people? Let's talk about it. Hey everybody, welcome to Gamble Smart. [00:01:04]You're not new to YouTube at this point, right? All right. So, this topic, oh man, where do I start with this? So, here's the thing. When Dave and I started this channel, one of the biggest reasons was the level of misinformation that was out there. And that was two and a half years ago, guys. We felt that it was somebody's responsibility to start calling attention to this stuff. And over the years, we've seen things come up crop up on YouTube and other websites that are really starting to take advantage of people. And it's it's very frustrating. I to say that I lose sleep over it is an understatement. I know that I can't save everybody out there, but I think it's important that we at least start to be honest with ourselves and be cautious with what we're consuming out there on the internet, right? If we are looking for a way to beat the casino, what is the most likely thing you're going to search for either on YouTube or Google, right? How to beat the casino, how to scam the casino, how to win at slot machines. Okay, these are common things that we are probably searching for. But the unfortunate truth is that a lot of times when you search for that stuff, some really peculiar results come up at the top. And it's usually from people that are selling you something, selling you a book, selling you a course, or whatever the case is.

[00:02:21]And I call it selling you a dream because it is mostly riddled with unfactual information. Now, how do you discern this? Right? It's very difficult, especially in an industry where casino operations, compliance, uh, slot manufacturers, they're not exactly the kind of people that are very loose-lipped about how everything works.

[00:02:41]We I think we all agree on that, right?

[00:02:43]So, what we have done over the last couple years is to disseminate this information to you. Now, where do we get our information from? Well, we get it from a lot of different sources. Uh, from people inside the industry. Uh, we also get it from a lot of information that is actually out there in public and free and I'm going to link all of it down in the description below if you really want to check it out. This is where we get our information from. It's out there. It's out there for the taking. You can find it yourself and it's from good sources. University of Las Vegas, GLI Test Labs, a lot of scientific papers. This information is out there, but it's not easy to find.

[00:03:20]And you're certainly not going to find it by doing a simple Google search or YouTube search. So, what do people tend to find instead? They find the people, and I'm just going to call them scammers. They are out there trying to make a buck off you by selling you information that is completely false and could probably end up hurting you in a gambling environment. So, here's a perfect example of this. Um, one of the ones that I found recently, uh, because one of you guys emailed us and said, "Take a look at these guys." Um, they were all about pattern recognition. And let me talk about patterns and slot machines real quick. So, do patterns exist? Uh, they do. Okay, surprise.

[00:03:57]Patterns actually do exist in slot machines because it is an RNG, random number generator. There will be cycles where it feels hot in quotes and cold in quotes. Okay, these will exist. This has to happen inside of randomness. Back to the flipping of the coin example. If you flip a coin 20 times, there may be a string of heads where you get five heads in a row or five tails in a row. Those things can happen and they will happen in randomness. If they didn't, then I would suspect that it's not random.

[00:04:29]Okay, it's programmed. But in slot machines, the same is true. But here is the key differentiator.

[00:04:38]It's unpredictable. Just because you have gotten lucky on a slot machine and have gotten a string of hits or bonus rounds or whatever the case is does not mean that machine will continue in that state. There is no state. There is no hot state or cold state. Every single spin is completely separate and independent. So although you can look back at your results and see that certain wins have o acred and certain losses have accured and you've seen some clustering where it's you know a lot of wins and a lot of losses. You will see that in your past results, but it does not tell you or give you any indication on what you should do or look for to exploit that. Does that make sense? And the reason that is is well, it's a big reason. They would never put a slot machine on the floor that could be exploited in that manner, right? Because it would never get to the payback percentage that it's expected to, right?

[00:05:32]There is no inside knowledge here that you can use to your advantage to try to game the system. It just simply can't happen. And that's why test labs like GLI are out there to make sure that those things are true, right? GLI has nothing to do with casinos. It has nothing to do with manufacturers.

[00:05:49]They're a third party entity. Okay? And I'm sure there's some of you conspiracy theorists out there. Yeah, they're all in. Okay, I can't help you. But GLI is a third party, right? They are not invested in casinos or slot manufacturers. They are invested in you guys to make sure that we all have a fair bet whenever we're playing the slot machine, right? that that nobody is fixing the system or it's not being given weights to certain players or anything like that, right? They are there to ensure that every single time the spin button is pressed, it is a random unpredictable event. Okay? So, anybody that is selling you something or trying to convince you otherwise to that, you got to look into it, guys.

[00:06:27]Okay? And again, I don't want you to just take our, you know, just take us by heart and say, "Oh, we believe you."

[00:06:33]Okay? Do your research. Look at the resources I have in the description below. Come to your own conclusions.

[00:06:39]Okay? If you want to believe all that stuff, go for it. We can't stop you. But I at least want you to take a pause, especially before you pay for something, and look at those things. See if there is any truth to it whatsoever. Guys, the worst thing you can do is go into a casino with bad information and start making reckless bets. Nobody would want you to do that. You shouldn't want to do that. Okay? Why not educate yourself a little bit on the operations? how slot machines work. It's a game that you're putting money on the line for. Why would you not want to know everything about it? And this has been our mantra since the very beginning is let's learn everything there is to know about slot machine behavior. How the math works, how the probabilities work, how compliance works, how they're audited, how they're tested. Let's learn everything about them so that we feel confident going and playing these things and putting money in it. We know that nobody else is trying to fix it. Okay.

[00:07:31]The purpose of this video is I I'm not trying to ruin lives. I'm not trying to, you know, tell you not to spend money in certain areas. Maybe a little bit, but all I'm really trying to say is you cannot believe everything at face value.

[00:07:45]Just because you do a Google search and the top result is somebody telling you how to beat a slot machine doesn't mean that that's factual. And you should not stop there. You should continue to look.

[00:07:55]Okay? Consider this. If everybody is saying one thing and one or two people is saying something exactly the opposite of that, think about what that means. Okay? Be safe out there. Do your research, especially before you start putting money on the line, guys. We're trying to look out for you. It's really critical and important.
