Kyle Busch - the REALITY sets it | Cause of Death | Bubba Wallace reactionAdded:
I think for most everybody around the world today everything's becoming a reality. The last couple days it's kind of like things just didn't seem real.
Didn't seem possible.
I mean if you're like me, you kind of get back up in the morning and you look and like that really happened?
Cuz it just didn't seem real.
But as the weekend's progressed here at Charlotte Motor Speedway, um it it's becoming a reality and it's sinking in.
And I don't think nothing could hit harder than the car Kyle Busch was supposed to drive this weekend being unloaded from the transporter and the silence in the garage.
Now I'm going to get into some different aspects with this episode right here including cause of death, a look inside of that just a little bit. Um there's different aspects. I hope you stick with me for this cuz if you ever follow me through any of these episodes this is a heartfelt one for real.
Um so I'm going to cover some different aspects. I want you to stay with me. I want your comments.
One of the things I want to point out right here is this man right here. That's Bubba Wallace.
So visibly shaken um by this because Kyle Busch touched a lot of people's life in racing. He helped a lot of people out.
And you see Bubba uh pretty distraught.
It's a very sobering uh experience to see.
And here's what I want to start out with right now that I want to make a point for everybody.
Um These drivers are human, man. They're all human.
They're sons fathers, they're husbands, they're brothers, friends, to so many.
And every one of these drivers out there deserves respect every day.
Rivalries are good.
But they deserve respect.
And I'm don't know if you paid attention here recently, uh if you seen Bubba Wallace's new commercial that just come out.
You you might pay attention to somebody that's in this right here.
Um cuz man it's an honor for me to work with these guys. And I've worked with so many of them.
And for me personally, you get to see a different side of them. Off the racetrack, away from everything else, where they just they're human beings.
And uh I promise you if you ever got to spend a day with Bubba Wallace, you'd see him in a different light.
You would you would uh you would see a guy who who's got a lot of passion, a lot of heart. And uh he's just a good guy.
That's why you'll never see me talking bad about these drivers out there. I try not to.
Because I respect them. And um I never know when I'm going to be working with them. And I want them to know when I do see them how much I respect them.
So I hope moving forward so many people can can respect drivers.
Because you see how fast that at any moment we could lose any one of them.
And that's unfortunate.
Um tributes are pouring in today.
Um it's it's again, it's it's sobering to see the black eight beside the number 33 on that car. Um And when Kyle Busch was going out there to race his ass off this weekend. And um More tributes are coming in. We're going to get into some of these things as well.
We'll talk about the cause of death that's been announced today, which just really made it even more real.
Um and this was pneumonia that had progressed to sepsis.
And uh you know, this is this is things where toxins and different things um bacteria get into the bloodstream from the infection.
And when this happens, uh it can cause widespread inflammation, organ damage, um and a lot of times uh very excessive immediate response.
Which is the case that happened here.
When I did my little piece a couple days ago, um I you know, I talked to a friend of mine at ECR.
There was things that I found out throughout the day.
Um I didn't want to go into them.
Uh I think I even misspoke on saying he's picked up from the home uh with ambulance. I I just knew he was cuz there's different things. You got to understand I'm I'm on different uh I'm in communication communication with different people. A lot of different people had different things. Some people that worked at the hospital or had family members worked at hospital had said things. There was different different things out there. And um it's just you you try to gather it all in to to see what's real and what's not. And the one thing that I did know more than any that I just kept hearing was about the blood in his lungs.
Um and you know, he just it just again, man, it just it still don't seem real.
It don't seem real. And you know, I know there's going to be a lot more come out about this about what proper measures taken uh with his care uh with this been avoidable.
And it the fact of it is it it it's too late now.
Um so I I hope there's no finger pointing or blaming anybody.
Um cuz it's just not the time. Just not the time.
Um now as I say, tributes coming in I mean Indy. Uh take a look at this at Indy.
Outside of that, we got, you know, drivers are putting Rowdy's name on the cars. Um, just a somber It's a very somber weekend, man. I understand I was supposed to be at the racetrack this weekend. I was supposed to be a guest on a uh podcast taking place at the racetrack and I just couldn't bring myself to go. Um, Charlotte Motor Speedway holds a special place to me. If you follow my show, you know, my dad, he worked for Charlotte Motor Speedway. I grew up at that racetrack with the legends. He's driving a motor cycle around there in the early '80s. Go down through the old tunnel to the garage area and hang out with Tim Richmond, Cale Yarborough, Richard Petty.
I mean, the names. And that place is very special to me and um it's unfortunate now that Charlotte's going to be remembered almost as if this tragedy happened there. Uh cuz each year this is a this is a special race where you pay tribute to the fallen soldiers and everything else. And now now we're going to be paying tribute to a fallen legend of our sport every year at Charlotte. Um And I got to say this, too. I just feel for Richard Childress Racing, man. You know, I know it's been brought up by other people, but God, this is two numbers now he's had to retire uh at a time.
And obviously, you know, it's out now that he's the eight's going away. It's going to be reserved for Brexton if he decides to to race for RCR and continue on with his career.
Me, personally, I hope to hell it happens. Um I really do.
Because he's a hell of a little guy, hell of a wheel man.
Um and they're a hell of a family.
And I I hate the fact that that young man has got to grow up without his dad now at the racetrack who was his mentor. Um And if you know my show, my show was here because I um um This whole show started because I lost my dad.
Um and then followed up with losing my brother, his wife, um and if you know my story about this year, uh with my son, it's tough.
Uh wish my son still with us.
Um but it's hard and uh when you deal with things like this, it's really hard to deal with.
Uh and that's why it's it's a passion to me that carries over uh and I know to Braxton.
He's going to carry his father's legacy on like uh a proud young man.
How could you not be proud? Your dad was one of the greatest race car drivers that'll ever touch the face of this earth.
And uh that's that's awesome.
And to Samantha, everybody else, I you know, I brought this up in a moment of peace, you know, I've worked with these guys. I've worked with Samantha before.
I uh I worked with Samantha on the Racing Wives. I've There was a whole intro to the show that they scrapped, but it was a it was a cool intro. We did a pit crew scene basically with with all the the drivers' wives there that were part of the Racing show or the Racing Wives.
And um you know, I got to spend quality time with Samantha that day and I've talked to her uh the dirt track, you know, and she's always got Lennox in her arms right there close that she's a good mom, man. She's she's just a good person and it's the same thing if you had if you had a moment to spend with her, if you had a moment to spend with Kyle, uh so many of these people away from the racetrack, you would you would understand just how special people they really were and they are.
And um you know, I'm I'm I'm I'm going to finish this up with this cuz This is why I'm not at the track this weekend. Um I'll tell you I've been working on some things to try to get back out there at racetrack cuz I've I've won one run some legend races this year. I haven't run legend series since 1994 and I wanted to race and run some races this year and part of the reason for that was because I wanted to say that I raced with Kyle Busch. I was hoping to be able to get out there and run some legend races with him and uh You know, it's sad. It's unfortunate because he had a lot of years of racing left in him.
And there's no telling what he would have done.
And uh I really wanted to see him and Braxton be able to race together.
Uh I captured their first race together in Milbridge, which I'll put at the end of this.
And um I'll put a link to it. I'll put a link down below as well.
Um Man, world world lost a a hell of a man, hell of a father, hell of a husband, hell of a son, hell of a brother.
Um It's going to be different.
