The video provides a sharp critique of manufactured political identities by grounding them in the harsh realities of historical expansionism and cultural friction. It effectively exposes how modern labels can be weaponized to obscure long-standing agendas of ethnic subjugation.

VERYYDARKMAN EXPOSE DESMOND ELLIOT REJECTS FULANI GUMI CONNECTIONAdded:
So, please, what is the meaning of Yoruba Fulani? Because this is a concept that I've been hearing pop up recently, especially among the people up north in Ilorin and the rest of that, where we now have the concept of Yoruba Fulani.
It doesn't make any sense. On what merit does such kind of cultural subgroup exist? What convergence exists among the Fulanis and the Yorubas to establish a coalition of Yoruba Fulani? When we look at our cultural elements, when we look at our biological encoding, when we look at our geography, and if we look at particularly our history, we have nothing, absolutely nothing in common or anything that should indicate that there should be anything that will exist as Yoruba Fulani. And the reason why I think this conversation is incredibly important is because as a collective, we are under a very serious existential threat, and we don't know it yet. It has been in existence for the longest of time as an ideological warfare, and especially now, it has become a war front physical warfare.
And if we do not gather ourselves to identify the threat appropriately and find a measure to counter it, we are at the risk of losing every bit of our cultural heritage and becoming subjugated to a very malicious force.
When we look at the current security unrest which has rocked the southwestern Nigeria where the Yoruba country lies, we might want to think it's an isolated event. For instance, the attack by Fulani bandits that has been on the news recently, and the constant terror attack that has been going on in Kwara for so long where villages and settlements are evacuating just because of the threats to their life, we might want to think this is an isolated event that we are so unlucky in this generation to be faced by these kind of scenarios and these kind of security issues. But in actuality, these are all circumstances that have roots in an over 300-year-old historical phenomenon. And it began with the Fulani expansion is concluding that everybody within the Yoruba country are all pagans and they want to expand their territory to this region and subjugate these people just the way they subjugate the Hausa people. And because of that, in the 19th century, shortly after they were able to bring the Hausa kingdoms to their knees, they began their expansionist movement southwards. The kind of attacks that we are currently facing today under this Fulani bandits has the same type of DNA as the attacks that our ancestors faced when the Fulani military expansionists were trying to move southward and subjugate the Yoruba country. They burned down cities, massacred people, kidnapped people, and spread terror across the northern frontiers of the Yoruba country. It is devastating that not a lot of people in the Yoruba country today know that the original seat of the Oyo Empire was about 60 km to the northwest of Ilorin.
Look at this map now and see where Oyo-Ile was.
It was for the constant attack that Oyo faced under the Fulanis and eventual sacking of Oyo by the Fulanis that led Oyo to move his seat of government 130 km south to where it currently is now.
That's why I want you all to go and read Clapperton's journal when he was moving from Oyo down to Sokoto and see how many Yoruba towns and villages he recorded as being burnt and destroyed by the Fulani militants. When you are aware of this history, nothing that is currently happening today will seem as if it just spread out of nowhere. These people have had an expansionist agenda for over 300 years, if not more. Regardless of any impediments they might have faced, it has been cemented in their minds that they must execute this expansion. They must subjugate the Yoruba country. And if they do not achieve it, they will not rest. So, when people come up and say that you are Yoruba-Fulani, I begin to ask myself, on what merit does such kind of cultural identification stand? What culture does the person who identifies himself as Yoruba-Fulani has?
What is your language? What is your religion? What is the What is your asha?
Because in no circumstance does the Yoruba and Fulani people converge on anything. The Fulanis are mostly fanatical Muslims. While the Yorubas are primarily by virtue of their asha, elebo. Our mode of dressing is different. Our language is completely different.
So, on what merit does that sort of identification standard exist? Let's take a look at the Hausa-Fulani. When you look at the concept of the Hausa-Fulani, who are the helms of affairs? Who are the religious and political leaders?
Exclusively Fulanis.
So, if you are a Yoruba person and they are coming to parrot the rhetoric of Yoruba-Fulani, it is as though that you are agreeing that you want to be subjugated by the Fulani people. There is no other way around it. You are begging to be subjugated by the Fulani people. Awolowo, who at the time aligned with a Fulani man when the Fulani militants were aggressively destroying other Yoruba towns. Now, his family, who were the original leaders of Ilorin, they are nowhere near the leadership of Ilorin any longer. Mind you, the Yoruba country and the Fulanis never came to a truce. Apart from the fact that the battle forces were able to repel them in the Oshogbo battle, it was for the overwhelming military forces of the British colonial powers that effectively altered their conquest at that period. And now it has resurfaced, and it has resurfaced systematically. They are fighting an ideological warfare by promoting that we are a unified people or promoting that we can be a unified people and also in battle that we do not know that we are engaged in. So, when we talk about Yoruba Ronu, it's not in the sense of choosing a political leader that is probably incompetent because he's a Yoruba person you choose him as your leader. That is not the case of what Yoruba Ronu should mean. Yoruba Ronu should mean that in the prevalence of existential crisis like this, where an external force is trying to find a way to subjugate you tiwa tiwa, we should come together to find a way to organize and expel them completely in all the instance that our forerunners have interacted with these people where they wanted to use force to subjugate us and alienate us. It has been the use of commensurate force by our own people that has put them at bay. You cannot have diplomatic gatherings out of this kind of circumstance. You cannot wish this kind of circumstance away. You cannot pray away this kind of circumstance. This is an external force seeking to subjugate you and suppress you completely. And you are wishing it away and you are praying. Just because we have been formed under the identity of Nigeria, you think we are friends?
You think we are family? That is not the case. There was no truce that was reached by these people.
So, please, there is not anything like Yoruba-Fulani. It does not exist. We do not have any social, political, historical merit to back any of those kind of arrangements up. If we go by history, we are largely antagonistic countries. So, when you see a Yoruba person parroting these rhetorics that we are one with the Fulanis or we are one Nigeria with these people, it is the same fate that befell Afonja that they are wishing to befall them. And if you are not going to be part of it, you have to kick against them strongly. This is the time when we should stand up and select political leaders that strongly comes out to state categorically that they are against this attack that is being leveled against the Yoruba country. that will be trying to diplomatically maneuver their way from this kind of conversation. They must firmly state where they stand.
If that is not the case, then this onslaught will continue for as long as possible. The Nupe onslaught continued for like four generations. The Fulani onslaught is currently ongoing and has continued for over 300 years. Ilorin people don't see themselves as Yoruba anymore. a total Yoruba.
How were Ilorin colonized? One popular content creator was interviewed. His name is Cute Abiola. Okay. And he was asked a question. He said he's a mixed Yoruba, mixed Fulani.
Fulani said I'm Fulani and he's not Yoruba, it's not mixed Fulani. All those are Biola and Kuta Biola, they are pure Fulani. And they will always support Fulani Yoruba land. They are just picking Yoruba in their mouth. And there's nothing as half Fulani, half Yoruba. You can only be Fulani.
There's nothing like half There's nothing like Fulani Yoruba.
That one no dey work for you. We never accept it.
They can be Fulani Hausa Hausa Fulani.
They can use their Fulani to destroy Hausa land. Nothing like Hausa Fulani.
If you are Fulani, we distinguish you.
So that when the matter set, we go know where you belong. Brief is how was Ilorin conquered? I don't want to actually talk about Ilorin, but I think you want to actually know.
Hm.
The Gen Zs they want to know. And they they are the reasons why I'm making this video. I'm I'm not Gen Z actually.
But I'm not interested in Ilorin story, but don't worry, I will still talk about it.
Let me just say that. Ilorin, hm. Ilorin is part of the Oyo Empire.
And there is a man called Afonja.
Let me just short the story.
That Afonja is an highly respected Are Onakakanfo, which is the military head command of military head in Yoruba land.
Under I think he's Alafin Ayole or one of the Alafin in Oyo Empire back in the days.
They distort that story, too.
Don't believe whatever they tell you about Afonja, that maybe he's a traitor, he's this. No, don't worry.
Don't worry. Don't believe it. Okay.
Those people with religion agenda try to twist it so that we can see him as a betrayer, where he deserve what he got.
That's the reason why they distort that story. I will never Since I read that story and I know their intention, their strategies, the way they use their religion to take land, I never believe that story. What was the message? I never see that Afonja.
I'm not from Ilorin.
I can only tell you the things I know.
Yeah. I will But I will never tell that one that I know because it's a lie.
Afonja is not a bad person.
He's from the Ladin family, I think. I'm from the other day in family.
This man is a great man.
For the affair of those days to appoint this man as the array on cacao food.
That must be a trusted army. You know it's one of the greatest position in land back in the days because you are sworn in to die for your land.
Let me explain to you again. If a war break out in your land and your land lost that war the only solution for cacao food is to execute himself.
Really? I don't know cacao food must not come back from war alive if his army is defeated.
He must die.
That's the great That's the highest level of loyalty to your to your own people.
And loving his people is the only crime he committed. After the war broke out, I think they have this food according to the story they they wrote to they have this food with maybe in in and the laughing then have issue and then he hired full and imaginary.
This full and imaginary are food soldiers. Jihadist food soldiers.
So when me and so when they met hired them as mercenaries out of good mind to fight the war you wanted to fight.
After they finished that war they conquer the I think they then I don't know. So after he conquered that that location that's the beginning of the problem.
He met all time a condition.
He actually paid them and he gave them asylum. The asylum to stay under him in his kingdom which is the learning. He took learning. He was in learning.
So what happened next?
The history is that Afonja or something was colliding with the Fulani people.
But, that's not the problem. Forget about Afonja's story or part in the whole in the whole coup.
The matter that happened is what actually make Ilorin people become slave in their own land today. The king is Alimi. They are gas lighting that particular point, which is the most terrible point that make them lose that town today. And you know that point?
Islam.
The Fulani jihadist who fought for Afonja started having issue with Afonja being the leader.
Jihadist ideology is to take over.
They want to create an emirate. Afonja is very powerful.
Omo yin na na si na na, you know. So, they need to actually lure some people inside the community. All these bandits where they keep their people. They have insider now that know that oh, this where this happen now here. Ah, omo yi lo le na to malu or part of them who they have sent to that town before to be an army spy.
That's the person that will give them information now. They can never be operation without them having a spy.
There can never be a smoke without fire.
So, they might have actually collided with some Ilorin people to betray Afonja or anything, but that's not that the story they they tell us. The real story they know they It's even in that story is that the Fulani jihadist find it so so uncomfortable for an infidel to rule over them to rule over them.
They say they say now this idolatry this idol worshiper now you go be their own king. That is against the law of Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala.
Yes. That's so they have to they have to eradicate him and make sure they launch an Emirate.
Are you understanding me? Alafinja trusted these people. He hired them as machinery. He gave them asylum in his own land. You know, I told you the Fulani people don't have a land. So, somebody is telling you he's Fulani Yoruba, we don't accept that. There's no such thing as Fulani Yoruba. You are Fulani and you're Fulani, you stay with your Fulani people.
Because you are speaking Yoruba as a Fulani person does not make you a Fulani Yoruba. So, what pains me most is the Aladine family today. Do you know majority of them are Muslims?
Majority of the people in that family are Islam. Though the Oba really wants to uh wants to go to the I want because the Oba was one of the major dead dead there. And they are actually also doing they are doing the religion and they are doing the they are doing the culture. Some of them are castrating themselves. Some of them are deceiving themselves. Some of them are lying to themselves. Telling you how much he is telling you. Though they Some of them did not forget their root.
But you know that the place where the armory of Alafinja and Awasho would be and they have made that place a >> I'm from Ibadan. I'm working at First Baptist Church of Gambari in Ibadan.
Yesterday, the people the people came to our school.
And we are taking care of both the teachers and the children. We are all here. We need help from the federal government and the state government.
Both the church, First Baptist Church in Ibadan, and the community, WE NEED YOUR HELP.
SO, THAT THESE people will release us.
Please help us.
PLEASE HELP US. WE NEED HELP FROM OUR from our president.
>> [laughter] >> WE NEED HELP FROM OUR PRESIDENT.
GOVERNOR PLEASE HELP US. OUR STATE GOVERNMENT, ENGINEER SEYI MAKINDE, please and BOTH BOTH THE NIGERIAN CHRISTIANS, PLEASE HELP US.
Please please help us.
>> [laughter] >> THE CHILDREN ARE [screaming] CRYING. SO, THAT >> DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS SAD ABOUT this video? Is the fact that before they leave the hands of those kidnappers, they must pay money before they leave there. All this cry, where she they cry, they call Tinubu and go.
He cannot do anything.
That is the craziest part about the video, that the people she's calling, where she's putting hope on to secure her release, will not do anything.
Tinubu is a failure.
Tinubu is a failure.
Tinubu is that reference in the Bible that said the devil is coming to steal, kill, and destroy. He's that person.
He's a failure.
He's a failure.
Our kidnappers have gotten the the the audacity and the confidence to go into a church school, First Baptist. This This is the school and the church. They went there, carried students, and carried teachers. Where are the policemen in this state?
Where is the security of that state?
You see, we are in a very big problem, and Tinubu does not have the answers.
I've been saying this thing for the longest.
Tinubu does not have the answer. That man's brain is old.
I told this thing that I said I will not get respect.
Tinubu is old. If not Tinubu or maybe 15 years ago, maybe. This Tinubu cannot move Nigeria forward. He can't.
Economy-wise, security-wise, nothing.
Since he came into office, the the rate at which they they kidnap people it quadrupled.
The way they they kidnap people, it quadrupled.
Everything he said he was going to do when he becomes the president, he has not been able to achieve even one.
One. All they do in his regime is to steal money.
Tinubu can't do anything for Nigeria. I say this thing and I make several video I don't talk nothing.
But the one that breaks my heart more is videos like this.
Because the people you put your hope on cannot even guarantee your safety.
But now, let's now leave Tinubu.
Let's go to Seyi Makinde, who is the governor of the state.
Now, every time when [clears throat] things happen, we'll call on the president, which is good.
But then again, have you people asked the monthly allocation of these governors?
2025 alone, a state like Oyo state, they got 17 billion every month.
17 billion.
This 2026 now, January, February, they don't give them at least 2020 billion monthly. Now, this money is supposed to cover for the security of the people in that state.
Water, light, and everything.
So, while we are talking about Tinubu who is a failure, we should also talk about the person that is directly in charge of the people in a state.
That particular state have 33 local governments, Oyo state. These 33 local governments have local government chairmen.
This monthly allocation goes to them as well.
So, what are they doing? What are the strategies that they put in place to secure the lives of the people?
I talk about this thing. I say when this matter they happen that time, when it they happen for Jos, when they they kidnap people, we they talk, they talk, they talk. It pass. I tell you people that these people are surrounded Nigeria. It look like where that man is just talking for talk sake.
They are everywhere. There's no state in Nigeria where these kidnappers no dey.
There's no state in Nigeria where terrorists no dey.
There's no state in Nigeria where terrorists never come. There's no state, you know dey.
You know dey.
You know day.
You have kids in bushes. These people are training people in the bushes every day.
They are getting more men. They are getting arms.
Arms they follow water they come that country.
Arms where federal government no get them them get. Arms where the federal government no get them them get.
You know why? Because the top is bad.
Now this woman now they cry. She back begin for back they cry. As she they cry like that now she they depress okay by the grace of God.
Now let me tell you the the best things Tinubu can do. Tinubu can go and rescue her.
He go use time now.
Maybe they will send DSS or send DSS.
Those one will quickly go back go negotiate with the terrorists. Could negotiate with the kidnappers. Secure them. Go come outside go claim say they arrest them or they rescue them. False.
What am I trying to say in a nutshell?
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not have that answer.
He doesn't.
Now you don't finish 4 years. Everything you said you will do. I say the least thing me I don't even care about the economy. Go and watch my previous videos. The old thing I've said. I said if he can secure the lives of people he's okay.
Just security in that country. No do anything again.
But the country where the poor they suffer.
The poor still getting kidnapped. The farmers cannot go to farm. Which kind country be that?
But you people pump money. You people carry pump serious money for election.
Now you don't go talk about this woman now. There will be no pressure is even the Christian Association of Nigeria about this woman they rely on too. They have been political. They themselves will not be able to put pressure.
Usually the Christian Association of Nigeria ordinarily things like this where they happen for churches. You are supposed to put pressure on the government. That's why you're an association to look out for the Christian body, the people under the Christian body, but they also have been political.
They also have become political. So, what can they really do? Nothing.
Nothing.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is old and does not have the answers.
Most of the people that he put in charge of all these things are doing the same thing to steal, buy, destroy.
They do not have the answers.
And again, 2027 now, you go see campaign again for the same thing when you originally promised the people.
You come again now and come and watch the campaign. I'll give you security.
I'll give you light. I'll give you water. I'll boost the economy. I'll create jobs.
I will help widows. I will do this. I will empower the youth. All of these, same thing you used to campaign again in 2027.
No good government.
If not because of social media like this that is making us with our educational content, eh?
Who [snorts] would have known history like this?
Other people would have just believed in this kind of blind belief because that is how they would have pushed it. You know it's an agenda. That's how they would have pushed it to the people of Ilorin stating that we are now having Yoruba Fulani. Just like the agenda that they did in the north that they pushed.
Keep saying that Hausa you I Hausa Fulani, Hausa Fulani. Now again, they've started with Yoruba Fulani. Before you know, they will conquer entire day.
This is the social media that is giving us this kind of education content. And guess what? The small yellow that time that was shouting saying that they should regulate social media. They regulate social media.
The same social media that he is now crying back to. And thank God social media never forgets. Now, videos have been going viral where people keep reminding him about what he has been doing. You know, stating that they should you know they they they should they should regulate social media content creators and the rest. Now, he's back here crying. He's back here crying on this same social media. Well, good luck to him in his next career because politically it is over. So, let let's focus now on the Ilorin Mhm? Now, the Fulani don't enter Oyo.
Now, people that have been have started talking now.
I pray that Seyi Makinde will not tolerate that nonsense in his state.
If Kayode If Seyi Makinde did not wake up If Seyi Makinde did not wake up Ah, because Ilorin people right now they know what they are regretting. That's why you see them some of them they are waking up to this reality stating that no Gumi Gumi Gumi people Gumi people Hey, we all know eh those people that with his with his expertise as the like like Gumi. We all know the kind of deed that they must have done in the north.
Small time he will say that they should the the federal government the federal government should talk to them. So, now the Yoruba people now if you guys don't wake up oh don't wake up.
Now, they don't they penetrate small small.
How can you say Ogbomoso that used to be a very peaceful place before? Now, Ogbomoso up to now that we are speaking children are selling in the bush. A teacher innocent teacher beheaded. So many things are just going wrong right now. Too too many things are going wrong right now. Well, I pray that you know Tinubu God will touch his heart so that they will even release a statement. I haven't seen a statement up to now.
Though, the statement needs to be more than condemn. Be condemned. Be condemned. Be condemned. For how long will they continue condemning? For how long?
How long will they continue condemning?
Well, that man that his wife is in detention with his child. The man came out yesterday he was shouting. He said that they the the people where be say they carry people say make them come carry him but make them return him wife and pekin.
That is the situation where we are. That him is ready to to take himself for for them to carry him, but they should return him with a wife and picking.
You will see that people are helpless at this moment.
It is well.
These people Yoruba people that you guys are rejecting and say you guys are never one.
You guys are no one. Let me know your opinion in the comment section.
