Berna not seeking reelection

[00:00:00]Well, Fayetteville City Council member Scott Berna says he does not plan to seek re-election this year. He holds one of two seats representing Ward 3, which includes much of northeast Fayetteville.

[00:00:10]In his announcement Tuesday, he said the decision was not easy and that his time on the role has been both rewarding and challenging. So far, two candidates, Haley Hall and Andrew Brink, have announced their candidacy for Berna's seat. His term expires at the end of December. The filing period for candidates starts on July 29th. Election day is November 3rd.
