Clown Keir: Labour PM Keir Starmer Resigns In Disgrace
Added:Every decision I've taken has been about putting the country I love first.
That is why I will resign as leader of the Labor Party.
>> Wait, so you're telling me that neoliberalism, austerity politics, and supporting a genocide are not popular positions? Kier Starmer has officially resigned as the prime minister of the UK. That is after he came in initially purged the entire party of Jeremy Corbin and his supporters claiming to be a smarter version of leftwing politics only to be typical right-wing garbage.
So, in this video, I'm going to discuss some of the lesser discussed things cuz I'm reading some of the pieces about this and they have completely omitted, at least a CBC News piece I read and another piece in the British media completely omit the genocide that he supports. Completely omit the benefits cuts that he has uh supported.
Completely omit the fact that he has not delivered on any of his promises when he was running as the uh leadership candidate for labor back in 2020. So, let me just first show you this hilarious image here. This is now the sixth prime minister that has uh resigned before their term is up in the past 10 years. Six of them mostly as you can see here, Tories with the blue and then Kirst whose politics aren't really all that much different than anybody before him. So, of course, the shortest term was a list trust at 49 days. Famously, a head of lettuce outlived her, but um there she is there.
Uh but here we are now with Kier Starmer resigning. So, to give you an idea of how unpopular Kir is even in the context of how unpopular labor was when he came in, so general election, Kier Star, new PM, there was a little bump. Oh, 1%. and then all the way down as people really began to realize who this man had always been. Um, again purging Corbin and then just going further and further right as the uh months went on. Meanwhile, reform right-wing farright party claiming, you know, I'm seeing some right-wing supporters hilarious. Like Kier Starmer, the commie is out. Are you out of your mind? Commie Kirsty? I I don't even know what world these people live in, but according to him, he's he's he's a far-left authoritarian. Absolutely hilarious. But uh anyways, Greens have also um seen their support grow as uh as the leftwing support of Labor uh drops.
But it's a completely different outlook now in British politics. you know, labor and Tories decades forever have been in power and now you see uh reform uh lib Dems maybe in some places but Greens as well. So of course you know an election a general election is still a while away but it's like it's such a weird time because they have a majority. This is a the leader of a majority government resigning years before his term is up.
That's weird. That doesn't normally happen. You know, Trudeau in in uh my country, Canada, resigned uh last year before Carney came in and won that election and they had, you know, at that time Trudeau was running a Liberal government, but it was it was a minority.
I I'm sure this has happened. I didn't, you know, stop to look, but resigning in the middle of your term with a majority government doesn't normally happen. It really means that you you screwed up somewhere along the way. So, this gets to Zach Palansky, Green Party leader, with his reaction saying, "Bills up, wages too low, record profits for oil and gas, 50 richest families with more wealth than 50% of the population.
in our rivers, pensioners jailed for protesting. We'll get to that in a second. Migrants thrown under the bus supporting a genocide. That's Starmer's legacy." So, let's start with this. Back in 2020, Winstarmer was running to be the new leader of labor. He put out his 10 pledges and if you go back and I'll link to this below. Go back and read through them. It's hilarious because he broke all of them. But this one, let's start with this. Promote peace and human rights. Ah yes, here star was going to be a This is a former human rights lawyer. So you could understand why some people would have actually maybe believed this one. Hey, former human rights lawyer sounds like somebody who's actually going to hold up uh international law, human rights. Well, of course, um, somebody who is in fully support of Israel's genocide. Here he is saying some absolutely disgusting garbage.
>> I'm very clear Israel must have that does have that right to defend herself.
Um, and Hamas bears responsibility.
>> A siege is appropriate. Cutting off power, cutting off water.
>> I think that Israel does have that right. It is an ongoing situation.
cutting off power, cutting off water, which obviously impacts civilians.
But no, Israel does have that right, which it's insane to it's insane for anyone to even have called this a war because a war implies some sort of, you know, equal battle between two sides.
Here you have one country that is the oppressor that controls the borders, controls water, controls electricity to the other side. How is this a war? It's always been an unfair fight. It's always been a genocide. And you know, before that, before the genocide, apartheid had clearly been going on for for decades as detailed by various human rights organizations, including the UN. So to ever try and claim that you were going to uphold human rights while at the same time supporting cutting off water to a civilian population like I you can't go any lower than this. He also uh they sent 500 spy flights to Gaza in support of Israel. So sending information to the Israeli government as they were genociding them. Also British air base was used by Israeli warplanes involved in bombing Gaza. So, we're talking about somebody who is intertwined with the genocide.
And on top of all that, overwhelming majority of labor members support a full arms export ban to Israel, illegal settlement trade ban. You have here the party essentially purging anybody that had a conscience, seeing what Labor is doing, understanding this is insane.
people, you know, in big numbers opposing what the Labor Party had been supporting, opposing the genocide. Yet, you had secure Star Armor's Labor continue to support the Israeli government and defend them. And you can look after on poll after poll this one over six in 10 of the British public oppose Israel's ongoing military actions and gods in the West Bank. So, we're talking a majority of people overall, not just Labor voters uh opposing this.
Other polling as well showing over half of former Labor voters who intend to back other center or left-wing parties in the next election cite the Labor government's handling of the ongoing genocide in Gaza as either a factor or a major factor in their decision. Which knowing this and seeing all the data around this, it is journalistic malpractice to not mention Gaza or Israel in your breakdowns on Kier Starmer and why he's resigning. I'm looking at you CBC News. They have an absolutely insane piece that isn't framed as an op-ed, but is framed as news about what why Karm became so unpopular. Didn't mention the genocide at all. Didn't mention Gazer Israel once in the entire piece while praising his foreign policy. Like I I wouldn't have felt so compelled to do a video on this resignation if it wasn't for the fact that I saw so much garbage out there in essentially just confusion.
I can't believe Kirst is so unpopular.
Have you not been paying attention to why this man is seen uh the way he is?
So you even have like they banned Palestine action. This is a protest group standing up for the lives of Palestinians.
The UK equating them to terrorist organizations like ISIS. And I'm not joking. The UN had to come out here saying Palestine action ban disturbing misuse of UK counterterrorism legislation. going on to say the UK government's decision to prescribe the Palestine Action protest group under terrorism legislation raises serious concerns that counterterrorism laws are being applied to conduct to conduct that is not terrorist in nature and risks hindering the legitimate exercise of fundamental freedoms across the UK. You even had so of course human rights organizations came out like like Anderson International but you even had NBC News like confused here. This is a massive corporate outlet in the US. Why is the UK arresting peaceful protesters on terrorism charges? Quote, "We're not talking to anybody. We're not being interviewed. We're simply sitting there with the sign said 74year-old Richard Whitmer Jones. elderly people getting arrested for protesting against a genocide because this group Palestine Action was being equated by the UK government as like al Qaeda or ISIS. How insane is this? It made membership in or support of the group a criminal offense punishable by up to 14 years in prison under British law. At this uh protest, nearly 900 people were arrested, many older than 60.
How does this not factor into your equation when discussing why Kier Starmer is not popular? So some reactions here. Isar Sultana an MP writing the most emotion Kier Starmer has shown is over losing his job not enabling genocide of the Palestinian people. Good riddance. His next stop should be the Hague. Jeremy Corbin writing Kier Starmer could have ended child poverty, homelessness and the grotesque levels of inequality in this country. Instead, he abandoned those in need, destroyed our civil liberties, and facilitated genocide in Gaza. That is how this prime minister will be remembered. And that is the legacy of moral and political bankruptcy he leaves behind. The crisis in our society are not going away. Neither are we. And we will keep fighting for a more equal, peaceful, and dignified society for all.
Liam Cunningham, activist and actor, also comes out or came out and said, "This is all we all he will be remembered for. a human rights advocate who turned into a genocide advocate. He has outlived his usefulness. Watch closely where he ends up. The cushy position will be his little token of thanks from the establishment. Blair territory morally despicable.
So, here's another promise he made during his uh leadership run. Climate justice, which of course uh they ditched immediately, ditching their 28 billion pound green investment pledge.
also economic justice of course like increasing income tax for the top 5% of earners. Here he is just a couple years later uh saying he will not be doing that at all. That's clear.
>> Another one was increasing income tax for the top 5% of earners. Now if we need more money, wouldn't that be a good thing to stick to?
>> Yeah, Justin, we are in a different situation now because obviously I think we've got the highest tax burden since uh World War II. And there was one >> Oh, different situation now.
Everything's fine. People are making enough money.
public support is fully invested in NHS as strong as ever. Uh benefits not being cut. Of course, all those things are not true, but uh broke this promise as he did every other single. You can go down the list. There's 10 pledges here. Broke them all. And you wonder why he's not B.
The centrist establishment wing just really confused. What what's wrong? He lied to the left. He moved to the right.
The right hates him. The left hates him.
Why does no Why does nobody like him?
Where's that center we always talk about? Such amazing So, don't worry though. Andy Burnham, who came out of nowhere, who just won his seat, is now apparently the favorite to become the next leader of the Labor Party and of course, by extension, the new prime minister. And he just so happens to be a good friend of Israel.
So, um, yeah.
How about that?
Amazing stuff happening in British politics. Please let me know what the hell's going on in your country. Like, h how have there been so many PMs with essentially all the same economic approach to policy and foreign policy even? All six of them almost interchangeable, just varying levels of communication ability over the last 10 years. And all done so quickly. Maybe it's time for something different. And to be fair, maybe that's why you're seeing other parties rise up. Though I don't think reform is the answer.
