Force plate analysis of countermovement jumps provides objective data on force production and absorption metrics (peak force, rate of force development, inter-limb asymmetries) that reveal underlying neuromuscular strategies, enabling more precise clinical and performance decisions in rehabilitation and training beyond simple jump height measurements.

CMJ Force Plate AnalysisAdded:
What you're seeing here is a countermovement jump being assessed on force plates at Parker Performance Institute.
While this may look like a very simple jump, it allows us to quantify how an individual produces and absorbs force throughout the entire movement.
We're able to measure variables such as peak force, rate of force development, as well as asymmetries between limbs, giving us insight into how the neuromuscular system is functioning under the production and the accepting of load. Importantly, jump height alone doesn't tell us the full story. Two individuals can achieve the same outcome, but through very different strategies.
This technology allows us to look beneath the surface, identify insufficiencies and deficits, and track the changes over time. From a clinical and performance standpoint, that allows us to make more precise decisions in both rehabilitation and training.
Ultimately, this shifts the process from subjective observation to objective datadriven patient centered care.
