Two buried alive after embankment collapses in Jeli

[00:00:02]Two men were killed after an earth embankment suddenly collapsed near a stream at the Jerimbong oil palm plantation in Jeli on Wednesday night.

[00:00:11]Jeli Fire and Rescue Station Operations Commander Izwan Che Ibrahim said the victims, aged 32 and 38, were buried under a 2-m high pile of soil. The department received an emergency call at 8:20 p.m. before rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.

[00:00:30]He said the first victim was recovered at 9:25 p.m. while the second victim was found at 11:18 p.m. Both bodies were later handed over to the police for further investigation.
