[00:00:04]I want to call your attention today to the book of Acts chapter 2.

[00:00:12]I am not I'm not a uh seasonal preacher. I don't necessarily allow myself to be restricted to the season whether it's Easter, Pentecost, or cuz some of these things we do and the Lord don't know much about.

[00:00:31]Where it's more tradition than ministry.

[00:00:37]And so I want to call your attention here today and I want to show you a different side of Pentecost.

[00:00:47]Beyond the fire and the power.

[00:00:50]I um And pardon my energy. I've been up from 2:00 a.m. struggling with this message.

[00:00:57]Because I feel I feel a bit I I feel the heaviness of God.

[00:01:08]For his people and more importantly for our nation and nations of the world.

[00:01:17]And I want to share with you some things that he placed on my heart as humbly and pointedly as I possibly can.

[00:01:26]And I wrestle because this is not what I had in mind for today.

[00:01:33]Because I was also wanting to be connected to the excitement of Pentecost.

[00:01:43]And the celebration and the fire and the power and all the wonderful things we do. Shut the move.

[00:01:50]Huh?

[00:01:51]Oh, okay.

[00:01:52]And I And I want to say that to the people in the finance room, everybody in the foyer, let's clock in today. Let's see if we can stop whatever we're doing and let's tap into what the Holy Spirit is saying. You may You may not shout today, but I want to I want to be faithful to this and the Lord said, "I gave you this assignment I expect you to be faithful."

[00:02:13]And not allow crowds and and any of the trimmings of what we do in church to distract you from what I'm telling you to do.

[00:02:26]And so, today I want to talk about the proper posture for Pentecost.

[00:02:32]And I want to deal with the subtopic of unrepentant nations.

[00:02:39]Acts 2:37, "Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart." The same Acts chapter 2, "When the day of Pentecost is fully come, they were all in one accord in one place and suddenly there came a sound from heaven a mighty rush wind and there was fire and there was tongues and the Holy Ghost and sat upon them etc. etc." But when you read on down further, afterwards Peter gets up and he preaches and says to them, "These men are not drunk as you suppose, but this is that which was prophesied by the Holy Spirit."

[00:03:14]He started to preach to them about and confirm to them that this was what was prophesied by the prophets of old as a result of what Jesus did on Calvary's cross.

[00:03:27]And he looked at them and said to them, "You You killed him and you crucified him, but we have witnessed his resurrection and this is as a result of his resurrection and ascension."

[00:03:42]And when they heard the message that Peter preached in verse 37, the Bible says, "And they were they were pricked in their heart and said to Peter and to the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?

[00:03:59]What should be our response? What should be our attitudes, our our our posture as a result of all that has occurred?

[00:04:13]Holy Ghost has come.

[00:04:15]Fire of God has fallen.

[00:04:17]They're speaking with new tongues. Lot of wonderful things are happening.

[00:04:22]But the people ask, "What should we do?

[00:04:25]How should we respond to this Pentecostal experience?"

[00:04:31]Peter says unto them, "Repent."

[00:04:39]That's interesting.

[00:04:41]I've never heard on Pentecost this particular perspective.

[00:04:50]Good to see you, Shau.

[00:04:51]He says, "I thought you should shout. You should dance. You should sing. You should have a You should feel the fire. You should pray."

[00:04:59]Peter says, in response to all that has happened here today, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

[00:05:23]And uh John 16 and 8 says, "Well, 7 and 8 says, 'Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, it is expedient for you, this is Jesus talking, that I go away.

[00:05:36]For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you.

[00:05:42]But if I depart, I will send him unto you.

[00:05:48]And when he is come, when the Holy Spirit is come, who's the comforter?

[00:05:52]Watch what he's going to do. He will reprove the world of sin.

[00:05:58]Another translation says convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment.

[00:06:06]The word convict means to cause to see.

[00:06:10]He will cause the world to see their sin.

[00:06:14]So, when the Holy Spirit is at work in your life, you don't ignore your sins.

[00:06:21]You see your sins.

[00:06:26]He will convict you of righteousness. He will let you know what is really righteousness, what is really right.

[00:06:32]And then he will convict you of the judgment that is to come.

[00:06:39]I I I need to take an unpopular but necessary stance today because of so much that's going on in the climate of our nation.

[00:06:51]And uh Ezekiel 16:49 and 50 says, this is talking about Sodom and Gomorrah.

[00:07:00]It says, "Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom.

[00:07:06]I want you to hear this really good. I'm going somewhere. Hang on.

[00:07:09]Behold, this was the iniquity or the sin of of Sodom.

[00:07:16]As I read this, it ain't going to it ain't going to list homosexuality.

[00:07:22]It ain't going to list fornication, although all of those things were a part of their sin.

[00:07:28]He says, "The sin of Sodom was pride.

[00:07:36]Fullness of bread and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters. Neither did she strengthen or look out for the poor and the needy. I never heard this.

[00:07:51]When you talk about Sodom and Gomorrah, we only talk about the homosexuality and the lesbianism and the perversion, but God is speaking in Ezekiel to the prophet and the prophet is speaking to Jerusalem who is the people of God and saying to them the real sin of Sodom was pride.

[00:08:12]Verse 50 says, "They were haughty.

[00:08:15]They were high-minded.

[00:08:17]They were arrogant and committed abominations before me.

[00:08:21]Therefore, I took them away as as I saw fit."

[00:08:28]One translation says Sodom's sin was pride, gluttony, and laziness while the poor and needy suffered outside her door.

[00:08:38]And he says, "So, I wiped them out."

[00:08:41]So, their their their real issue, ladies and gentlemen, wasn't their sinfulness or the things they did as much as it was their arrogance.

[00:08:53]It was their pride.

[00:08:56]Cuz we all sin.

[00:08:58]I go to this congregation and pass the mic around. I'm sure just in this section alone you'll be surprised to know what all these dressed up holy, sanctified, white wearing men and women what they came from and what they got going on right now in their life.

[00:09:18]If we could have shined a a screen over this congregation with all the shouting and more wind, more fire, and all the things we've been going on if we could pass this mic around and if you could know what the person sitting on the side you thought about you just 5 minutes ago cuz you wouldn't sit down and shut up.

[00:09:36]You would be shocked to know what's going on behind all these white dresses and white hats.

[00:09:48]And the truth of the matter is, I can't condemn you and you can't condemn me because all of us got something we don't want God to expose.

[00:09:57]Could I get a true true church in here today? All of us got something going on in our lives that we praying God keep us covered over cuz we don't want him to expose.

[00:10:10]For Paul says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

[00:10:15]Every time Paul would speak, he would always say, "I am chief among sinners."

[00:10:19]So, be careful of people who praise their righteousness.

[00:10:23]Because Paul was one of the greatest man of God in the in history, but he would always declare, "I'm chief among sinners."

[00:10:29]Somebody say, "You magnifying or celebrating imperfection." No, I'm just conscious of the fact that he is so holy and I I am so undone.

[00:10:38]Isaiah became a prophet. He said, "I'm a man of unclean lips. I dwell among a people of unclean lips."

[00:10:45]He said, "I am undone and woe is me."

[00:10:49]So, I'm careful of people who celebrate their righteousness cuz when you really have an experience with the Holy Spirit, he shows you things about you that you didn't even realize was was happening in your life. Things that you used to be okay with and laugh at and other people used to be fine with, all of a sudden you begin to look at it and say, "Wow, I didn't but I know for a lot of people who sing and shout, they only going through emotions and a performance because they always pointing at other people, but the Holy Spirit never shows them themselves."

[00:11:21]Because when you really have a experience with the Holy Spirit, you start to say like Isaiah, "Woe is me."

[00:11:27]Not woe is her, not woe is him, not woe is them, but woe is me. I am undone. How many of you today would admit I am undone? I I I don't pray because I'm perfect. I don't worship because I'm perfect. I don't come to church because I'm perfect. I'm trying to be perfected.

[00:11:44][music] That's why I spend time with God. That's why I pray because I'm trying to get past some things. And if you're really saved, ladies and gentlemen, you'll find yourself on a daily basis, sometimes several times a day, saying, "Lord, forgive me." "Lord, have mercy on me. And Lord, sanctify me." Because of the thoughts that go into your mind, you came away from a conversation and you said some things you know you should not have said.

[00:12:11]But that's only when the Holy Spirit is it really at work in your life. And I am concerned, ladies and gentlemen, cuz I don't really think the Holy Spirit is as much at work in the church as we say he is, because most of us are unrepentant.

[00:12:25]Most of us don't see our wrong and don't see our sin. AND WHENEVER WE ARE CONFRONTED WITH THINGS in our lives that we don't we we get uncomfortable and we start to cuss and CARRY ON AND FIGHT AND GET NASTY with people. But because but IF YOU REALLY HAVE THE HOLY GHOST, WHEN SOMEBODY TELL you something about yourself, you'll be like, "You ain't telling me nothing new. You're right.

[00:12:44]That's true. I'm praying ABOUT THAT. I'M TRYING TO WORK ON THAT. THAT'S WHY I STAY IN THE WORD OF GOD. AND I KEEP COMING TO THE HOUSE OF GOD AND I KEEP PRAYING AND SPENDING TIME IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO GET MYSELF TOGETHER because the Holy Spirit WILL SHINE THE LIGHT on the vessel he inhabits.

[00:13:02]He said he will convict the world of sin.

[00:13:07]And I'm concerned because we are becoming so good in the Bahamas at spinning stories and manipulating facts that we are becoming an unrepentant.

[00:13:28]I know I have to repent about it if I could just spin the narrative on it.

[00:13:34]If I could just fix it to make it more palatable, I don't have to repent about it.

[00:13:41]Because it matters to us, ladies and gentlemen, more with people things, and we forget that there's a God who sits high and look low, and he sees the good.

[00:13:51]And so it's in my best interest to just say, "Lord, I'm sorry. I repent. I I didn't do right. I I have some things going on because even though people may not know or see or know the real facts, his eyes go to and fro in the earth for holding the good and the evil. And if I want to walk with him and get what he's ordained for my life, it's better I just be honest. If it's nobody else, I got to be honest with God. I got to be honest with myself, and I got to tell the truth about And that truth will make me Sin, ladies and gentlemen, is what Each and every say, "Wake up."

[00:14:29]Sin Sin Somebody say, "Sin."

[00:14:35]I know we don't use that in these modern churches much now, but sin Sin is one issue.

[00:14:41]But being unrepentant is an entirely different and more troubling issue.

[00:14:51]God doesn't turn a nation over to reprobacy or a people over to destruction like he did with Sodom and Gomorrah just for sin.

[00:15:02]He does so when they are too proud to humble themselves and admit their sins and repent.

[00:15:11]If my people which are called by my will do what?

[00:15:18]See, cuz you're only going to do the rest of them things until you get humble.

[00:15:22]Humble themselves and what?

[00:15:24]Humble themselves and what? And then humble themselves and what? Seek my And then humble myself themselves and then turn from their wicked You ain't going to do none of the other two things if you don't first humble yourself.

[00:15:36]If you self-righteous, you ain't going to humble yourself cuz you think you right when you wrong. And the Bible says let a man examine himself less when he thinks he stands, he falls. So, I don't just spend time in prayer telling God what I want. I go before God to see how I am a lying. Lord, are you pleased with me? Are you pleased with my walk? And if you ain't pleased with it, lying it up, help me. I'm weak, but thou art mighty.

[00:16:00]Hold me with thy your your But it begins with humility.

[00:16:11]If I'm too anointed, then I ain't going to humble myself.

[00:16:14]If I'm too much of a man of God, I am not going to humble myself.

[00:16:18]If I have I have I got too much knowledge and you think I I ain't going to humble myself.

[00:16:25]But he says, "Don't pray till you humble."

[00:16:30]Don't don't say you seeking me till you Don't try turn from your wicked ways till you cuz you ain't going to acknowledge your wickedness ness ness ness.

[00:16:41]Unless you are It's GOING TO TAKE HUMILITY TO SAY YOU DIDN'T speak to me right.

[00:16:47]You didn't handle me right. You didn't deal with that situation right. It's going to take humility to say you are wrong.

[00:16:55]And we are dealing with a generation THAT IS STRUGGLING TO HEAR YOU ARE WRONG. WE ARE DEALING WITH A GENERATION THAT IS PARENTS CAN'T TELL THEIR CHILDREN NOTHING BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS GOT A MOUTH on them to respond TO EVERYTHING YOU SAY BECAUSE WE ARE IN A CULTURE TODAY WHERE WE DON'T WANT TO hear we are WRONG. BUT HOW DID YOU GET SAVED?

[00:17:18]BECAUSE TO GET SAVED YOU HAVE TO CONFESS I AM A SINNER IN NEED OF A SAVIOR. HOW DID YOU GET SAVED? BUT ARE YOU REALLY SAVED IF YOU CAN'T CONFESS I CUZ TRUE CHRISTIANS get used to saying wrong.

[00:17:36]Your biggest deliverance may be connected to your admission.

[00:17:39]Your biggest breakthrough may be connected to your admission that there are some THINGS I'M WRONG ABOUT.

[00:17:48]I didn't do that right.

[00:17:50]And it's uncomfortable.

[00:17:52]And it's tough.

[00:17:54]And it's difficult.

[00:17:56]And you don't want to hear it.

[00:17:58]But if my life can line up for me to walk in with God as ordained for my life, there's some things about me I don't want to hear. And let me tell you why some of us go through some things we shouldn't be going through cuz we don't want to listen.

[00:18:11]And mama told us long time if you don't if you don't listen, you going to fix So you GOING THROUGH SOME HARD TIMES IN YOUR LIFE right now cuz nobody could talk to you. And nobody could tell you you're wrong. You need to fix that.

[00:18:23]Don't do IT LIKE THAT. AND DON'T BE SUCCESSFUL AND HAVE A LITTLE BIT of money CUZ WHEN YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY AND YOU HAVE A LITTLE SUCCESS AND YOU HAVE a little connection with people who are in a building power and who are popular and then nobody could talk to you cuz it's but your success COULD BE YOUR GREATEST THREAT BECAUSE THERE IS A WAY THAT SEEM RIGHT UNTO A MAN, BUT THE END THEREOF IS DESTRUCTION.

[00:18:47]Y'ALL ain't hearing me today. The way that destroys you the Bible said it will seem right. It will feel right. It will look right. But you got to always make sure you go before God to make sure it is right.

[00:19:02]Help me, Holy Spirit.

[00:19:12]It's your It's the humility.

[00:19:16]It's the humility.

[00:19:18]It's the humility. We get a lot more peace in families if we just had humility.

[00:19:24]We could have more peace on these jobs if we just had humility. We could have more peace in our nation if we just had humility. We could have more peace in the church if we just had I mean we we we even hate to say sorry.

[00:19:39]We we We We hate to pull it We supposed to be Christians operating in the fruit of the spirit. We We hate to say sorry.

[00:19:46]Two weeks ago I had to I did something I that I you know I was just kind of I I I was dealing with something I didn't know how to deal with it. And so I just dealt I just dealt with it by not showing up. Yeah, not dealing with I I I and so after the fact the Holy Spirit said said I said I understand why you didn't go.

[00:20:04]But you should have at least said something.

[00:20:06]I understand why you were disturbed and why you you you I understand that but it ain't what you did is how you did it. So you could be right wrong or wrong right.

[00:20:16]Cuz y'all ain't saying nothing to me.

[00:20:17]You could be right wrong.

[00:20:19]You're saying the right thing but you're wrong but how you're saying it. You're You're doing the right thing but you're wrong but how you're doing it. And so I had to send a message to the person without them saying anything to me. The Holy Spirit convicted me cuz when you have the Holy Spirit you shouldn't need somebody to come and tell you YOU DID WRONG. THAT WASN'T RIGHT. YOU AIN'T HANDLE THAT RIGHT. IF YOU REALLY HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT AND I FIND MYSELF EVEN AS A PASTOR WARY OF HAVING TO TELL PEOPLE THINGS I FEEL THE HOLY GHOST SHOULD TELL THEM. AND SOMETIMES IT'S SOME OF THE DEEPEST SUPPOSED TO BE MOST SPIRIT FILLED PEOPLE.

[00:20:59]CUZ ONE OF THE GREATEST SIGNS OF TRUE SPIRITUALITY is brokenness.

[00:21:10]Oh, YOU WANT SOME POWER IN YOUR LIFE, GET BROKEN BEFORE GOD. You want the anointing TO COME ON YOUR LIFE, GET BROKEN BEFORE GOD. I'M NOT THE MOST TALENTED, I'm not the most humble, but I I I I I SMILE IS A BUT I KNOW HOW TO GET HUMBLE BEFORE GOD. THAT WOMAN WITH THAT ALABASTER BOX THAT OIL COULDN'T FLOW UNTIL SHE BROKE IT. AND LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE OIL CAN'T FLOW IN YOUR LIFE, THE FAVOR CAN'T FLOW IN YOUR LIFE, THE BLESSINGS CAN'T FLOW IN YOUR LIFE UNTIL YOU BREAK IT. AND YOU DON'T WANT TO BREAK YOUR PRIDE AND BREAK YOUR ATTITUDE AND BREAK YOUR MINDSET AND BREAK HOW YOU HANDLE THINGS. SO, YOU'RE HOLDING UP THE OIL FROM FLOWING IN YOUR LIFE. BUT IN 2026, [music] IT'S OUR WINNING SEASON. AND GOD SAID, "I'M WAITING FOR THE OIL TO FLOW IN YOUR LIFE." AND THE GREATEST OF BREAKTHROUGHS GOING TO COME WHEN YOU ADMIT, "I COULD POSSIBLY BE WRONG."

[00:22:01]WE COULD SAVE SOME MARRIAGES IF ARROGANT EGOTISTICAL HUSBANDS WOULD JUST SAY, "I KNOW I'M THE MAN IN THE HOUSE, BUT I'M A WRONG MAN. I WAS WRONG."

[00:22:17]You can save some marriages.

[00:22:21]The hard mode wife says a Christian woman, "I talking too much. I run on too much. You see what the Bible say about how Christian women should conduct themselves."

[00:22:35]Be subject to your own husband.

[00:22:43]Today, everybody is a defense attorney.

[00:22:56]They defend everything.

[00:23:01]We ain't wrong about nothing.

[00:23:07]Now you could convince yourself of that.

[00:23:09]I convince other people of that.

[00:23:11]But you know that God you just go to pray to?

[00:23:15]He know all things.

[00:23:21]And the heavens may remain shut over your life until what you think about you is what he knows about you.

[00:23:30]You You feel safe because everybody hugging you, laughing with you, and they should. We should love people whether they good, bad, ugly. We supposed to love them. But you But don't let people celebrating you make you feel you don't have to humble yourself and look at some things in your life and fix some things IN YOUR LIFE. NOT BECAUSE I'm a pastor of this church mean I got everything together. So, I got TO SPEND MORE TIME IN PRAYER THAN YOU BECAUSE I GOT TO FIX SOME THINGS BECAUSE EVERYTHING I DO AND DON'T DO COULD AFFECT SOMEBODY'S LIFE.

[00:23:59]AND WHEN YOU WANT GOD TO DO MORE, that means more responsibility. So, we got to make sure YOU ARE A PERSON WHO IS HUMBLE ENOUGH.

[00:24:13]DAVID DID FAR worse sins than Saul.

[00:24:17]I want I want somebody tell me one thing Saul did was so bad.

[00:24:23]No, I talking about before God fired him.

[00:24:26]Cuz And what did he do? What? Try to kill David? He tried to kill David?

[00:24:30]David did kill somebody. He didn't try.

[00:24:35]So So So, I'm trying to I'm trying to create a a parallel between Saul who God outrightly rejected and David who the Lord said is my beloved.

[00:24:51]And David did far worse, more egregious things and saw that.

[00:25:02]Yet, David was always willing and ready to admit and repent for the wrong he did.

[00:25:14]So, COULD IT BE THAT YOU TALKING ABOUT THIS ONE AND THAT ONE AND WHAT THEY DOING, BUT THAT PERSON MAY STILL BE WALKING IN THE BLESSINGS EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW SOME THINGS ABOUT THEM BECAUSE THEIR HEART IS PROPERLY POSTURED BEFORE GOD.

[00:25:32]WHY YOU USING PETER? HE IS CUSSING. HE IS DOING THIS. I DON'T I I DON'T I DON'T KNOW HOW FAR IS HE INSIDE TO SAY, "WE DON'T DO THIS AND WE DON'T DO THAT." YOU KNOW, THERE WAS a Pharisee and a publican and the publican got on his knees and he said, "Lord, I'm a sinner."

[00:25:44]And the Pharisee was over there saying, "Lord, YOU KNOW I FAST EVERY DAY. I PRAY EVERY DAY." AND HE WAS JUST HE CALLED OFF HIS SPIRITUAL RESUME. AND GOD SAID A MAN THAT SAID I'm a sinner WENT AWAY FAR MORE JUSTIFIED THAN THE ONE who was calling OFF HIS RESUME OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.

[00:25:59]YOU DON'T NEED TO SAY NOTHING to me because it's a brokenness GOD LOOKS FOR.

[00:26:03]IT'S A HUMILITY GOD LOOKS FOR. IF YOU WALKING AROUND WITH YOUR SPIRITUAL NOSE IN THE AIR, GOD WOULD DOES NOT WALK WITH THE PROUD.

[00:26:13]HE SAID, "IF YOU HUMBLE YOURSELF UNDER MY MIGHTY HAND IN DUE SEASON."

[00:26:23]Some of our due season constantly being delayed cuz he waiting on us to be in a just a humble. I ain't got it all together yet, you know, but just humble.

[00:26:33]I still making some mistakes, Lord, but humble. I I STILL falling down, BUT HUMBLE CUZ A JUST man falls seven Look at your neighbor and say, "A just man."

[00:26:43]Talk Talk to them. Tell them a just man.

[00:26:45]You could be JUST AND STILL FALL. JUST DON'T MEAN YOU NEVER FALL. JUST DON'T MEAN YOU NEVER MAKE NO MISTAKES. JUST MEAN YOU NEVER SIN. THE JUST MAN THOUGH WHEN HE FALLS, HE CAN REPENT AND ACKNOWLEDGE HIS FAULT, HIS FAILURE, AND THEN HE CAN GET BACK UP AGAIN.

[00:27:08]He didn't say one of you going to betray me. Everybody on the table asked, "Is it I?"

[00:27:12]Y'all remember that?

[00:27:14]Talk to me. Y'all remember that?

[00:27:16]He said he said one of you going to betray. That means all of them know they didn't say something behind Jesus' back.

[00:27:23]And they wondering if somebody done tell Jesus what they say about him.

[00:27:30]Cuz if you know your heart right with Jesus, you be you be like, "Well, that ain't me. I know I I I got no issue. I I I BUT IF YOU KNOW IF SOMETHING JESUS MIGHT HAVE FOUND OUT.

[00:27:44]AND YOU ASK YOURSELF, "IS it I?"

[00:27:50]We don't ask that in churches, do we?

[00:27:52]"I?"

[00:27:55]We complaining about what's wrong with the nation. Could it be that you ain't in position?

[00:28:00]You blaming the politician, but could it be that you ain't doing your job?

[00:28:04]Cuz they only can get away with what they get away with because we ain't doing what we supposed to be. Y'all ain't saying nothing to me. So, we blaming and pointing fingers, BUT WHEN LAST YOU ASK YOURSELF, "LORD, AM I DOING WHAT I'M SUPPOSED YOU DON'T EVEN PRAY FOR THE NATION TO EXPECT ANYTHING GOOD OUT OF THE NATION. AND WHAT YOU DON'T PRAY FOR, YOU SHOULD HAVE NO RIGHT TO EXPECT anything from.

[00:28:31]"Is it I, Lord?"

[00:28:33]"Could it be me, Lord? Could I be doing some things that you are not pleased with? Could I be out of alignment with you, Lord?"

[00:28:41]"Is it I?"

[00:28:47]David was always willing to admit and repent.

[00:28:50]When Saul can You give me a few more minutes, please. I know the time is running.

[00:28:55]When Samuel confronted Saul for wrongdoing, Saul make excuses and sought to justify.

[00:31:41]When Nathan confronted David for wrongdoing, David made sacrifices unto God and said in Psalm 51, "Oh God, have mercy on me." Now this is the psalm where he say, "No, no, Lord, we The psalm I do this and I do this."

[00:32:02]When Nathan confront David and say, "Thou what thou art," David say, >> [snorts] >> "You right. I You ain't lying."

[00:32:11]Ain't no sense I try to defend myself on this. I this is true.

[00:32:18]This worshipping David, giant slaying David, anointed David, praying David, who done do the most, but I I can measure his spirituality not by the fact that he don't sin, but by how he respond to when he is called out for when he makes a mistake.

[00:40:57]I mean, if I can do it, I can sin all the way. I ain't playing.

[00:41:03]I don't got to go to God. We got I got a real prayer.

[00:42:07]I don't pay the price to wait on this line THIS LONG. COME ON NOW.

[00:42:18]And I And all y'all just like me, we don't really acknowledge our sin till we done sin.

[00:43:13]For thou desirest not sacrifice, else I would give it.

[00:43:20]The sacrifices of God are broken spirit and a contrite heart.

[00:43:28]O God, thou will not Gently nudge your neighbor and say, "Man, where your brokenness?"

[00:43:35]You want to see the glory of God for We got to get broken.

[00:43:39]We got to get humble.

[00:43:42]Ladies and gentlemen, righteousness, not perfection, righteousness exalts nations.

[00:43:50]But sin will bring us to open shame. It's a reproach.

[00:43:57]As a people, if we don't acknowledge our sins and wrongdoing anymore, we will find ourselves guilty before God.

[00:44:06]If we arrogantly just move on like we did nothing and do not repent before God, we'll find ourselves in trouble with God.

[00:44:15]Now, it is no longer man you will have to give an account to.

[00:44:19]It is God.

[00:44:21]Because our lives are dedicated to.

[00:44:24]This nation has been dedicated to.

[00:44:27]We are developing a culture where we don't acknowledge sin and repent.

[00:44:34]And there's some people who bypass you preaching this. All these young people are changed. They don't want to hear me today. That's on them.

[00:44:40]But I got to go home to God.

[00:44:44]Let me end with this. We all sin.

[00:44:47]My sins are many.

[00:44:49]I I'm I ain't quoting no scripture. I'm talking to me.

[00:44:55]But God is merciful.

[00:45:03]And that's why it should tell your neighbor and say, "Neighbor, it should be easy for you to forgive me as a Christian cuz you know how much God had to forgive you of AND STILL FORGIVING YOU OF."

[00:45:23]WHY IS SO HARD FOR US TO GET ALONG WITH GOD?

[00:45:29]He is merciful.

[00:45:31]Who is willing to forgive us and pardon us for our sins.

[00:45:36]But we must acknowledge them and repent of them.

[00:45:39]First John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Psalms 32:5 says, "Then I acknowledge my sin to you and did not hide my iniquity.

[00:45:55]I said I will confess my transgressions to the Lord and you forgave the guilt of my sin.

[00:46:03]God loves us.

[00:46:05]He bears long with us because he wishes that none of us would perish, but that all of us will have everlasting life.

[00:46:13]But when a people and a nation acts as though there's no God, we will find ourselves in trouble with God.

[00:46:21]The Bible says in Psalms 9 and 17, "The wicked will be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God."

[00:46:30]I stand today, ladies and gentlemen, as a warning voice.

[00:46:35]I am not here to condemn us for our sins, for we have all sinned and fallen short.

[00:46:40]And we strive toward perfection, but I am here to warn us against the arrogance of not repenting of our sins.

[00:46:50]He who conceals his sins, Proverbs 28:13 says, "will not prosper."

[00:46:58]But whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.

[00:47:04]The Bible says when people hate the truth, God responds by sending them strong delusion so that they believe a lie and find themselves in destruction. That's 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12.

[00:47:19]Ladies and gentlemen, we got to be careful.

[00:47:22]Haggai says, "Consider your ways."

[00:47:25]And I pray today that we will all come to that place where we consider our ways.

[00:47:31]Finally, Jeremiah 29:11 says, "I know the plans I have for you.

[00:47:36]They are plans for good and not for disaster."

[00:47:41]God says, "I don't plan disaster for my people."

[00:47:45]That doesn't mean disaster will not happen, but God says, "I didn't plan that for you."

[00:47:50]So when we see disaster, we could rebuke disaster and pray against disaster cuz he says his plans for us is that we prosper.

[00:48:04]But God said on this Pentecost Sunday, he wants his people to respond to his presence and his glory by coming before him and developing I don't not just an act.

[00:50:02]Uh can I give you one example? When Jesus healed the woman, he said thou would lose He says to some people he said He said, "Thy sins be forgiven thee."

[00:50:12]And that's how they got their healing.

[00:50:14]Because the sickness wasn't the problem, the sin was the problem.

[00:50:18]So even So even if he healed them, the sickness would return because it was really connected to the door they opened through the sin.

[00:50:26]So the reason we repent of sins is cuz every time I repent, I shut a door.

[00:50:32]So whatever access point the enemy wanted to my life, he no longer has that access point cuz I didn't take that to God and shut that door.

[00:50:43]Y'all all right?

[00:50:45]And let me say this to parents.

[00:50:47]There's certain things attacking your children because of the doors you didn't close.

[00:50:55]And let me say this to you as a parent also, be careful how you deal with other people cuz you're sowing the seeds for how people are going to deal with your children.

[00:51:06]And let me tell you all this. Let me tell you all this. Not cuz you forget what you did mean heaven forgot what you did. And certainly don't mean the devil forgot what So the devil saw what you did and he says, "I know I got legal rights."

[00:51:20]because of an unrepentant area of your life. I don't care if you sin a million times in a day, repent.

[00:51:27]Say, "Lord, I'm sorry. Lord, forgive."

[00:51:28]And the Bible says if somebody sin against you 70 * 70 in a day, forgive them.

[00:51:34]If God is If God is telling you to forgive other people that much, you don't think he's prepared to forgive you even more?

[00:51:42]But he said 70 times in a day cuz he know we messing up a lot.

[00:54:05]OH, I pray God break up some of these ungodly soul ties in your life. Some of these demons and wicked people in your life making you feel you right when you wrong. A REAL FRIEND WILL TELL YOU YOU WRONG, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE THAT ATTITUDE, YOU SHOULDN'T DO IT THAT WAY, THAT AIN'T THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

[00:57:38]Not just when I come to church, but Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

[00:57:45]And nobody can judge you or condemn you.

[00:57:49]God will have mercy on you.

[00:58:07]I want to make this whole church a big altar.

[00:58:14]Cuz I don't want your blessings hold up.

[00:58:19]I don't want the favor of God held up in your life.

[00:58:23]And he don't just bless you when you're good, but if he is trying to mature you, he will delay.

[00:59:37]I sowed some seeds and I don't want them things to spring up.

[00:59:43]Men and brethren, what shall we do?

[00:59:45]Repent.

[00:59:47]And be baptized. Baptized mean be immersed in it.

[00:59:51]So don't just repent and then walk away and do whatever.

[00:59:54]Get consumed with changing your mind, your attitude, how you live, and watch the heavens open over your life and the floodgates pour into your life and you see the glory of God.

[01:00:16]Lord, today we acknowledge as David did, even as Paul did, that while we are passionate about serving you, there are areas of our lives that we need you to help us with.

[01:00:39]Paul said, "I have not yet apprehended that for which I have been apprehended."

[01:00:44]But this one thing I do.

[01:00:47]So Lord, we press into your presence.

[01:00:50]Cuz there's some things only you could help us with. It ain't ain't about willpower.

[01:00:55]Ain't about therapy.

[01:00:56]There's some things only you could break.

[01:01:01]There's a level of discipline only you could help us to achieve so it doesn't keep upending our destiny.

[01:01:07]Have to go from one job to the next job to the next job and we keep up in the start over because we out of control.

[01:01:16]This our season. This our This the season we win.

[01:01:23]We will win over sin.

[01:01:28]Sin will not dominate us, not rule us, not have dominion over us.

[01:01:44]So even though we have sin, we going to believe God to make us righteous.

I need you to build your faith now because only your faith can cause God to move in those areas of your life and give you the victory. Somebody shout the devil is a liar.

I need somebody to give God the kind of praise he deserves because YOU KNOW HE HAS YOUR FUTURE PRESERVED FOR HIS GLORY AND FOR HIS HONOR.
