Foundation excavation for two-story buildings requires precise trench dimensions (80 cm width, 1m depth) designed according to local soil bearing capacity, with the excavation process typically completed within 2 days before proceeding to foundation construction, blinding, and pillar installation.

FOUNDATION EXCAVATIONS AT NEW SANYANG PROJECT NEARS COMPLETION.Hinzugefügt:
Hello the beautiful viewers and followers of DJ Construction Real Estate Company Limited. Uh here I'm on I'm introducing you to a new project. Uh this is a is the excavation process of a twostory building.
Uh this contract uh unlike uh the Marakisa project, this one is managed by Ein Ibrahim Ibrahim Contean National who works for government project in Saleon and also in Moritania here in Gaia courtesy of DJ Construction. This project is at SA on the highway to the sea.
As you can see this today yesterday marked the beginning of the excavation process. As you can see uh let me give you zoom of this the bit.
Uh the wideness is 80 cm and deepness is 1 m inside. So as you can see so this side is is complete.
Let me take you over.
As you can see this is also completed 100%.
So this L shape is 100 completed 100%.
As you can see, see this is a team of experts we have here on this ground.
This is a team that I trust and they'll be the one wholly and slowly handling this project under the full supervision of engineer Ibrahim.
Hopefully by tomorrow I believe the excavation complete here.
Then next we think of digging of the uh the baskets.
Yeah, that's the fourth stage. The fourth phase of the work is excavation.
Hopefully that one is finishing tomorrow by God's grace. The way this team is working, they're working tirelessly to make sure that everything complete.
So let's go So we see here I s >> you need to come and talk to our viewers sir >> about this project. Huh? Yes sir.
>> I wanted to give a comprehensive detail about this project. Remember this this this building it has overhanging >> and you have species there.
>> So I want viewers to know why.
Uh let me come closer to you. Oh yeah.
Okay. That's engineer Brian Monte. He's the chief engineer overseeing this project from the foundation to refinishing. He built a very good team that he believe can work together to make this work a very successful one.
Ibrahim.
>> Yes sir.
>> What can you tell Gambians about this project?
>> Um uh first of all I want to say and um good morning, good afternoon, good evening to >> everybody outside there.
>> Um to start with this is a twotory building.
>> Y >> and it is a very complex project >> well designed.
>> Mhm.
>> And um at as to this moment we are currently doing the trench excavation.
Yes, >> which is the depth of this trench is 1 m down >> and the width of the trench >> is 8 cm >> and this is designed precisely because of the fact that the swell at this um um at this particular community is not that strong.
>> So it is designed so that it can able to withstand the actual bearing capacity load of this of this structure. This is a two-story building and it have overhanging at both sides.
>> Now we are starting the foundation which is going on very well and um by within a period of 2 days time this foundation is going to be completed. Sure.
>> Then we are going to start the the the blinding >> and the the positioning of the the the pillars that is the footing >> which is very much important and along the line we are going to be be showing our viewers exactly >> as progresses >> to how we are going to construct this this project and it is very much important it's very much important >> and um >> currently where I'm standing is an open hall this area is an open hall and um is the living room and also the the dining is here.
>> The other side here is the garage.
>> Yeah.
>> And this middle side we are seeing is where is the entrance is the main entrance and the the the staircase to go up >> upstairs.
>> Upstairs. And upstairs we are going to have four rooms.
>> Yeah.
>> Four rooms. And um those rooms >> two from this side and two from this side. And we are having overhanging.
>> And this building just like I said the the The structural design of this project is very complex and it is something that is only a reputable company >> like DG construction and real estate can able to undertake this kind of project.
If not >> definitely it cannot be delivered as expected.
>> Mhm.
>> Sure. Okay. Having said that uh you know the the excavation is ongoing and we expect let's say next two days maximum the excavation should complete 100%.
Yes.
>> When it come to the structure properly, what can you tell us?
>> Yes, of course. When it comes to the structure and it has already been designed and um my responsibility here is to ensure that what has been designed on this paper >> come into reality which is very much important and we are prepared for that.
My team are prepared for that. And um along the line >> I will explain as we move forward because there are some things now structurally that I can said maybe v I cannot understand but along the line you understand exactly where we are going because by the time we start the the the the foundation which is a pad foundation >> and do the the the blinding and the installation of the columns >> there we will understand exactly the structural design of this particular of this particular building of this particular structures.
>> This structure up there is more or less of classes.
>> Yes.
>> Perhaps Gambian want to know this kind of structure. Really many Gambians are not into that kind of structure with the exception of banks. If you see where structure is dominated by glass, you know there's a financial industry but uh for for residential purpose is very rare. Now that we are building one Ibra, I expect Gambian or any pass by here to give credit to DG. Okay. What can you tell us uh with the glass things?
>> Okay. And this this project >> Yes.
>> this building >> I can say the down floor >> Mhm.
>> 40% of it >> is is an open space which is going to be placed with glass.
>> Yes.
>> And of course this entire area where we are standing the living area is going to be glass. Yeah.
>> And the reason being is very much important because it gives excess light for the building and it also give excess ventilation for the building and it it is important. It's just that Gambians are not too familiar with this kind of structures but this kind of structures is it is very important because it has so many advantage and disadvantage and um for the area that are going to be having blocks of course is is just um 60%. And for this 40% area is very much important because this open space will will accommodate so many things and of course at the end of the day you will have a decent and um window cutting that that is going to be placed which is very much unique >> when it's completed and you will have an excessive sunlight where whenever you sit in any part of the house we have excessive sunlight and at the top of this of this building >> also So we have so many glass. There are so many glass you know which is very much important. You know Gambia are not too familiar with it. But I believe at as to this point after the completion of this project Gambia will understand why it is important to have this kind of design.
>> So I want to believe the only disadvantage is uh they said people who live in glass house must not throw at stone.
>> So that's only going to be disadvantage part of it. So apart from that >> of course of course.
>> So apart from that I think it's okay.
Right.
>> Yes. Yes. Yes. It's very much very much okay. I can see your team. You have a you have about six member team here right now and this one what's expectation in this team especially on this project?
>> Okay. Um for for my team of course they are very much dedicated and committed in order to to to see that whatever they start they finish it with fancy and this might seem they are very much committed.
>> All what they want now is for us to complete the excavation process and start the the building properly. They are very much committed and they are very much interested. That's correct.
>> And and as a company, these are the kind of people we are we are looking out for because for us as a company, we take full responsibility of each and every project that we are having and that is what separates us DG construction from other companies because we are we are we are reputable and we are very trustworthy and working with people that are very much dedicated to work is something that is very much important.
And we consider that as important as it is.
>> Okay. Thank you very much. Gambians both home and abroad. You heard what engineer said, the one overseeing this project.
He has said a lot about this company, about this project. So I think it's time like he said we should introduce uh glass house more of glass houses than entirely block. So until we come away next time again from this project, we'll be giving you update as the work progresses on this ground. So expect more and more updates coming from us as work progresses. So we'll be coming here on a daily basis to give you an update of the site. So until then I come again next time signing out. Thank you. Bye for now.
