Stage 4 Colon Cancer | UpdateAdded:
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, hello. My name is Marta. I'm 32 years old and I'm battling stage 4 colon cancer. Last year, February, I was 31 and I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. They gave me 2 to four years and uh so far I have done 24 rounds of chemo, five rounds of radiation. And this Friday, the 29th, I do have a consultation. It's going to be for a second opinion. and they already have my most recent MRI results, which I had done like I want to say two two or 3 weeks ago. So, they will have those results in this appointment. They're going to let me know how everything is looking, what they recommend, continue chemo, like what what treatments I should be doing right now. But, um, yeah, this is just like another update video. I have talked about this before like my symptoms. If you want to know like everything I felt before I was diagnosed and also just how everything went down. I am living with a an osttomy. It's a colosttomy and it's been over a year since I've had the otomy and so far I'm feeling good. Thank God. I don't know. I'm just really looking forward to this appointment. I'm always like positive about everything. I'm a believer. So, I put everything in God's hand. I want to cry, but these are like just happy tears cuz I've been I put everything in God's hands. And I know whatever comes my way is his plan. There are days that it gets to me and I'm just like sad all day cuz it's just like I'm just thinking about it, even saying it out loud. I told my husband like it still sounds crazy to me. I was looking over my records and just seeing my name, date of birth, medical number, and then right under that diagnosis, metastatic cancer to liver and lungs.
And I like stare at that and it still sounds crazy. Like it's still like part of me doesn't want to believe that all this has been happening to me and that I still have it. So those days like yeah there are days that it just it gets to me but when I have the chemo treatments I feel a little weak and tired and I just don't feel like doing anything but that's just like the first few days the sto area hurts every now and then so sometimes like I can't I can't do much during the day but even then I like I still feel thankful and I know it's I know God has given me so much strength so much strength for me to always stay positive, always smiling and having a good time even though I have this. And I know that's very important. Your mental health is so important. So you guys always have to take care of that. That's why I just try to not think about the negative of all of this. Like I've said before, my husband and I, we still talk about like the negative whatifs, but I don't think about it too much cuz I know that's going to that's like not going to be good for my mental health. And I always like to post videos about this and talk about this to spread awareness because like I said in my I think it was my first when I or not the first video, it was one of the videos. I think it's where I talk about the symptoms. I told you guys that one of the doctors said that I was too young to be tested for colon cancer, to have colon cancer, and also that I didn't have family history of cancer. So, I like to have my story out there so people know that it's age does not matter. They should still test you when you have all the symptoms that I had bleeding alone. I don't want anyone to be going through this. So, if you feel something wrong with your body, just listen to your body, you know, take care of yourself. I have had a few trips to the ER because I've been bleeding so much through the ostmy. And I think I posted reals about that, but I post a lot more on my Instagram and my Tik Tok, but I have been like the bag, the osammy bag gets full of blood. So that much blood loss, it's scary and it makes me feel so weak and I fainted because of that. But I'll have another video talking about that cuz it's it can be a long video cuz there have been there's been so many ER versus visits for the same reason. Um, so I mean, but if you guys have any questions about an osttomy or just like anything, leave them in the comments below. Oh, and I also wanted to show you an update on the video or my video on my hair cuz I have been doing an aggressive treatment. So, I started losing my hair again and it's very thin, very sorry. That's one thing I can't control.
I can't. I've not had it like a situation where I'm like in public or somewhere where it's like very quiet and this happens. Anyways, this is my hair.
It is very thin. As you can see, it's not curly anymore cuz it was growing out curly and it's like non-stop just falling out. So, I am thinking about shaving it again. So, every time I go out, I do wear a headscarf or a wig. Um, but I can't I mean I can't there's like nothing I can do. I can't style it or anything. Um, but yeah, I am thinking about shaving it soon. If you guys have like any wig recommendations, cuz I just like the easy ones where you just like uh what are they called? No glue glueless wigs or something like I don't know, but like the easy ones. I like the ones that come with like a headband. But if you guys have any recommendations or any brands that you guys like, leave them in the comments below. Another thing I also forgot to mention, my CA, which are the cancer markers. I don't know if you guys know about that, but they started off very crazy. Like it was close to 600. Of course, that was last year when I was first diagnosed. Then it went down like after a month of chemo.
It went down to four and that was in less than a year. But it is slowly going up. So it is now at 21. And that's why we want to get the second opinion to see what what they think what kind of treatments I should be getting. My next chemo treatment is next week. Uh I believe Tuesday or Wednesday. Still don't know, but one of those days, June.
Um that'll be chemo number 25. As always, thank you all so so much for the love, for the support. I really really appreciate you guys. And also, if you guys would like to support, I will have my uh GoFundMe linked down below. Thank you for all the prayers. I love you guys so much, and I will see you in my next video. Bye.
