In farming operations, investing in appropriate machinery like a 10-ton winch tractor can significantly increase productivity and profitability by enabling efficient resource management, such as clearing trees and moving materials, which ultimately generates substantial returns on investment through increased operational capacity.

NEW MEGA MACHINE - EXTREME Survival Challenge | Episode 62追加:
Hello everybody and welcome back to the extreme survival challenge. In the previous episode, I bought a brand new field, field number 30 just over here.
It's a grass field and I actually cut it, windroed it and bailed it. And as you can see, we do have quite a few lovely quadrant bales in this field.
Now, the first job is to move these. We need to put them somewhere other than here. And the field needs to be cultivated. So, we do need to get that cultivated today. Uh, first of all though, let's get the wheel loader.
It's going to be a very good machine for moving these bales with. And well, we might need a trailer, but there's not that many of them.
Thought I'd take a shortcut across my spinach field. Turns out it's a big mistake. This field is muddy.
This field is seriously muddy.
But we've made it. We've made it across.
And what do we actually have here? We've got like three, six, probably eight. Uh there were actually two more, but I put them straight into the trough out of the BOR in the previous episode.
And I don't really have anywhere in particular to take them to because they are for the goats, but the goats don't want them yet. So, I'm kind of tempted to keep them in this field at the edge.
Yeah, I think I might just keep them at the edge of the field because there's plenty of space to come back and get them in the winter time if they haven't rotted away. But they won't. They won't rot. Uh and we can um yeah, free up the field for the cultivating and then well probably in September we can put a crop in.
The field needs cultivating anyway cuz it's got weather damage.
It's actually really annoying when you get the weather damage. We don't want to be like you. Oh, we don't want to be like you. Don't want to be like you.
>> Yep. That frees the place up nicely.
Okay, fantastic. Well, I don't know where to take this to because I don't know where I need it next. So, I will leave it here and I will get the 40840.
We should still have a cultivator. Yes, we do. And we'll get that field cultivated.
It's not the greatest weather for it.
Uh, I suppose I could move on to August.
Um, no, I'll try and get it done and then we'll move on to August afterwards.
Just don't want to be missing any opportunities.
It's unlikely, but yeah, still uh when there's nothing really going on, I might as well just be in my own field going up and down doing a nice bit of cultivation work.
Now looking at this, I'm actually wondering if I even need to cultivate it.
Expanding field boundaries. Yes, definitely.
But the rest of it, I don't know cuz I do have a direct drill. But yeah, I'll do this certainly.
Although, yeah, maybe I should be using the other tractor. We've got a more powerful one than this.
Yeah, got to do that, too.
The damage.
So, there's definitely a few areas that do need the cultivator.
>> Start all over now.
Tell me why we have to hit the ground when it's easier to fly. Higher, higher, higher. I needer, higher, higher, higher. I need higher. Why? Why do we have to fall back down? Hold my hand and I'll take youer.
I'll take you higher.
This one was easy to miss.
So there we go. Another one. Right. So um when we have rested, we'll also need to spray more liquid fertilizer onto the spinach field over there.
And it will be August. So it means that this field could have canola put in it.
We do still have the oil mill. Although it does have a compromised spawn point uh thanks to my ramp. But uh well I could uh I could move it if I fiddle the money. So it would make it not cost anything. It wouldn't profit but I could move it and do it that way.
Um yeah well maybe I could put Canada in. It would be quite a good crop to put in.
We've already got the setup here. So let's move on to August.
And it' be interesting to see if I can just direct drill this grass. I think I will be able to. I'm pretty sure I will cuz it's already considered a field.
Hopefully it's a decent month. Hopefully it's not wet and miserable.
Um, pretty good by the look of it. Yeah.
Oh, wow. Yes.
A beautiful month.
So, yeah, you can see how much brighter it is.
The previous month for some reason was extremely dull. Like exceptionally dull.
Um okay. Right. So yeah, we'll uh we'll get these taken across to there.
I am set to spinach cuz the last crop I did.
We need canola, but I don't think they're both set to canola, are they?
Nope.
Now they should be and I have a choice of two different directions. I have no idea which way is faster actually. I think maybe going right this time may be faster.
And because we have moved on, there are going to be uh quite a few pallets of milk to sell.
Ah, and that field doesn't just need liquid fertilizer. It also needs to be sprayed with herbicide. Now, I'm hoping I can still drive across that field.
Although, do we even have crop destruction on? We probably don't.
Yeah, we can drive across it. I do need to spray it, though. I need to spray it twice with herbicide and liquid fertilizer.
But here's my priority.
I actually do need to drop off that rear one and put it onto the right hand side.
There we go.
Lower that one and lower that one. And we should be putting in canola. There we go. I'm so pleased I did not go and cultivate the entire field. It would have been a total waste of time. So, we'll do a quick check to make sure that is canola. It is perfect.
Good. So, away we go. Let's get this field done. Uh, I will have to move that tractor, of course, cuz it is completely in the way. And I'm wondering if I need to service this tractor cuz it is struggling.
Struggling a surprising amount.
Well, we'll see how we get on. If I do need to take it to the workshop, we can do. It's not far to go. We've got one in the yard, but fingers crossed we'll be okay.
>> Give me a chance. Spirit your heart in the palm of my hand. Hear me out. Just give me a chance. Spear your heart in the palm of my hand.
I'm going to change your mind about me. I've got to make you see this perfect place like it's meant to be perfect for just one or I've got the key got to hear the finals what's exciting it could be anything a good thing change your mind about me I'll be what you got to lose So, this is going to mean another field needs to be sprayed.
Yep, these drills do have the ability to put the fertilizer in as we go. But, as I explain all the time, I'm trying to use up the IBCs that I bought. I recently, actually, it wasn't even recent. At one point, I bought a load of IBC's very cheap in the sale. And that's why I'm extremely reluctant to buy more fertilizer at full price granular fertilizer for the drills even though it would save time when doing the drilling.
We just need to use them them up. We just need to get the IBC's emptied.
Okay. So, yep. That tractor as we now know we do not need the cultivator again. Can be taken back to the yard.
Um, I don't think I own that forest, do I? No, I don't. That's the area that we do not own.
I was going to say we could make like a a cut through through the trees, but no, we'd have to buy plot 251, which we will probably never buy.
All right. And then finish off the corner.
and then check to see if I've actually covered all the ground. It looks like I have.
Good.
So, we do also have the field at the very back and the pea field that need to be drilled, but I don't think they're going to be done this year. I think they're going to be done next spring.
So, this area and this area here. Um, that's that's already a spinach crop that's regrowing, so we don't need to touch that.
Yes. This is probably the only winter crop we'll do.
Stick that on the back if I can.
My approach was not too good. So yeah, I'll just go and sort everything out.
We'll get the uh the John Deere taken back as well. And then we'll come back with a sprayer.
>> Cuz I'm not going to wait here like a fool.
There must be a way I can make you see that if we fell in love, it will be so sweet. But when it's you and me, me, nobody can bring us down, bring us down.
But I don't want to love you if you don't love me back, baby.
Cuz I don't want to love you if you don't love me, baby.
Yeah. I've been waiting too long for you. Oh, I don't want to be back.
I don't want to love you. If you're back, don't you know I waited such a long time. Can't you see I wanted it to be us now? Darling, if you knew how this would turn out, we let the stars shine bright.
Yeah, I've been waiting too long for you. I don't want to love you if you don't love me back. I don't want to me. Just don't want to waste my time with you. Cuz I know how to love you if you don't baby.
Yeah. I've been waiting so long for you.
I don't want to.
>> That should be the fertilizer. And then we just have a bit of herbicide spray.
Yeah, this field didn't actually require much because it was grass before. The bit that I cultivated will need to have a second application.
But that will not be until September. So anyway, we need to empty the fertilizer out and put herbicide in. A few episodes ago, I took down those trees. If you watched that episode, you'll know already. Um I was hoping to get a winch or something to drag them up over the ramp and into our wood turner.
That would be good because then we can obviously keep making more products here and it gets rid of them. Eventually, we need to get a uh sawmill, but uh yes, we only have £10,700, so we're not going to be getting that anytime soon.
But yeah, uh if we can look into winches in just a minute, that'd be great. The one which is in the base game will probably be too new, unless of course the game hasn't given it an age, which it probably has. Uh, it's going to come under forestry stuff.
Yeah, I haven't actually looked at ModHub to see. Yeah, it's too new. So, what is it? It's 2023.
Yeah, I've not looked at ModHub to see if there are any modded ones. You don't really see many winches, but I'll have to have a look. I'll take a look after the herbicide spraying, which will only take about 30 seconds.
Heat.
Heat.
Okay, so the first thing that I have found is this winch, but it probably only fits one tractor. It is 1967, so it's well within the age. Uh, yes. So, it will only go on to I think the Fortrit tractors which have appeared here. I don't know if they'll fit any of them.
We might have to change something here.
I've literally just installed it. So, um, yes, there is the winch mount. So, it looks like you probably do need to get this to be able to get that. I would love it. Um, but it looks like it's probably out of the question just because of money. Now, I did install another machine as well, which hasn't appeared in the winches category. So, I need to locate that. It's going to be in the in the ZA category.
There it is. That's even more expensive.
Uh 45,000, but as you can see, it's a bit of a beast.
1971.
Um Oh, it's annoying cuz that's even more capable, I should think.
It weighs 10 tons. If I could get that in the sale. I doubt it's appeared in the sale already, but it probably will do.
Now, the other thing I could do is just literally get a front weight with a winch integrated into it. They're technically too new, but it depends if the game is actually assigning a year to them. If it isn't, then they are certainly allowed.
Okay, so one I'm registering is 2005, which is kind of random, but fair enough. That must be what it's supposed to be. And the other one I'm not actually seeing here. I think it's integrated into a weight.
It's probably Oh, there it is.
2012. Okay, so we really do have a mixture of dates and the only ones that we can actually get are the more expensive ones or we could make an exception.
Like you wouldn't really know that that's 2012.
I feel like we probably should make an exception. Oh no, we should probably go for the older one, the 2005 one.
It's also more expensive, but we actually can't afford it. Wow.
Oh dear. Okay. Well, we actually can afford it because I have got loads of products that I can sell.
So, let's go and load them up onto a trailer. We've got the uh we've got the milk and we've got the wooden products.
And actually, I suppose if we do end up having enough money to get the big 10 ton machine, we should just get it because then we're not breaking any rules. I don't want to break a rule. I don't want to say, oh, it's only a wait.
We can we can go to 2005 cuz of course we're in 1997 here, but we don't want to be doing that.
Let's have a look at the milk first. Do we need a trailer for the milk? No, we don't. We can just go straight to the dairy with four pallets on this. In 2003, we can buy the new wheel loader. I can't wait for it. I've been wanting it for well, basically the entire series. I really, really want that wheel loader.
This one's still extremely good, but there's something about that one. I just love the design. In fact, I'm really disappointed that JCB didn't stick with that design for long at all. Uh cuz I personally think it looks really good.
I'll go back to it to refresh everybody's memory. Um but yeah, that design, okay, these days it would look really dated, but they didn't seem to have it for very long, and I like it. I think it looks really good. So, I really want to have it in this game.
And uh yeah, very well done to the creator of that mod as well, cuz it looks exceptionally good.
I wish I could try it out. I still haven't used it. I've had it installed for months. Uh waiting for the time to come because we're in 97. Oh, it's still going to be ages.
But we'll get to 2003 one day. Well, in 2003, I'm not too sure if this alone will get us to the right amount of money. I don't think it will, but it doesn't really need to. Got us close cuz yeah, we've got all those wooden products. So, yeah, we'll get the wooden products loaded up and we'll get them taken over to Drumalog one or two, whichever one is currently giving the best price. I'll just get the price for pepper grinders cuz that's what I always do.
Pepper grinders. P. We're looking for P.
There it is. P. Good. Oh, wow. My timing was great. Although not the greatest price difference. Uh, right. Which one is better? Jamard two. Just about.
They keep swapping over. You say we could try that this is not goodbye my love goodbye.
I try to walk between the rains by the ways of every star. I thought our love was always worth fighting for.
I'm standing on an empty rooftop.
Finding out to begin. Time to let go.
Give up.
I try to walk between the rains by the waves of every storm. I thought I love worth fighting for.
I'm standing on an empty rooftop, finding out to begin. Time to let go, give up, give.
Time to let go.
>> Yeah, there's going to be a lot to be said for buying this machine cuz it's going to make so much money dragging those trees into the wood turner to make these products.
There we go. So, we're up to 61,000.
Let's get this uh on a on a course back to the farm. I haven't actually used a worker to drive back on this map, but I'm very tempted to do it just to see how badly it can do it. No, it would be good, I'm sure. Let's have a look.
If you can drive to a nice big open yard, then you're a genius. You don't want to do it. Fair enough. You're not a genius.
One more attempt.
Um, going to somewhere a bit more accessible. I know the end of the road. But on the road, you're useless. You're totally useless.
Okay. Well, um, let me have a look at this.
It's probably our starting position that's upsetting it. So, 1971, we can get this. Do we want to have the orange color, though?
We probably do.
Hm.
Just thinking if I did if I did a by color scheme, it might look pretty amazing. It might look weird as well, though.
Kind of looks homemade when you do it like this. Um, right. Well, I think I'm going to do not red, not orange.
Actually, that looks pretty good.
Maybe a different color for the door or a different color for the rims.
Oh, look at that. Just look at that.
Well, I don't know about the door color.
Maybe uh maybe the door color should remain that color. Yeah. Okay.
Decal old or new or nothing.
We'll just have old now. Wheel setup.
Definitely white tires.
Oh, yes. That looks good.
Yep. We'll have that.
Oo, tiny tires.
Oh, yeah. That's a good tread.
Oh, yes. Look at that. What a beast.
Okay, well, there we go then. We've bought it. Yes, it was expensive, but it's going to make a lot of money. And it's going to make a lot of money quite fast. Now, I just hope I don't regret anything here cuz I've never used it before. But, as long as it can winch, which it quite clearly can cuz that's its primary job, uh, we should be okay.
So, off we go. It does actually remind me a bit of a wheel loader. It looks like the wheel loader, but that's a Volvo. And this is a Zeta.
Interesting machine. Uh, yeah. Let's go winch some logs.
Pretty basic interior, but then again, it's it's old.
It's functional.
Now we do have some writing on the uh the window. There is a sticker. You can see bottom left window there. Um now I think it's a slope capacity of the tractor is 13° or maybe it's the maximum operating slope is 13°. Uh and if I'm not mistaken that is Slovakian. Am I right or am I wrong? Let me know.
It says tractor, which I'm pretty sure is Slovakian, but yeah, I don't know for sure. Right.
Okay. So, um, here we are. We have our first logs. I've actually position those logs in a pretty terrible position.
Unless, of course, I can winch them up from the top of the ramp already.
I'm not going to get my wheels stuck in there again. Already done that today.
Right. First time trying this out. So, We should be able to attach quite a few logs at the same time actually.
All right, that's maximum length. So, if I can winch up.
Can I winch up?
Let me just do controll K.
If I can Oh, whoa. Too heavy. I think we'll just do one at a time to begin with and I might do two. So, we'll just start with this one just so I know the capabilities of this tractor. We can quite clearly do that. And I shouldn't need to clean up anything because it's going into our own production. We're not selling it for wood. If we're selling for timber, then you do want to make sure it's as clean as possible.
Okay.
Criy. We already had 70,000 LERs in here.
I can't believe it.
That's quite a monster of machine. I love the wheels that I've put on it and I love the fact that we have the ramp because if we didn't have the ramp, these logs would be going all the way around. I'd be getting stuck on every hedge. It be an absolute nightmare. So, I'm so pleased that I've done this.
It's actually ended up being a lot more successful than I thought it would be.
Even though it's not the best looking thing in the world.
All right, so two really is too heavy.
Two is too heavy. So, we'll just do one at a time, I guess. Yeah, they are big trees, so it makes a lot of sense. It's funny cuz one tree it looks like nothing for it's like a a hot knife through butter, but then two makes it flip right up into the air.
And that's because I've hit another tree.
No, I don't regret getting this at all.
This is a fantastic beast of a machine.
I think we're getting about 2 to 2 and a half thousand liters for every tree. Uh, which isn't bad considering I just literally ran up to the tree and sliced it down with the with the chainsaw. With the combine, no, with the chainsaw. And then I've just dragged them in. So, nearly no work at all. Very little effort required.
This is actually really fun as well.
Oops. Until you trip over the the winch cable. Best not to do that.
Oh, that's a heavy one. That is a heavy one. Now, I can control this blade on the back. So, if we were stationary in a forest, uh, it would not do a wheelie, but because I'm trying to move with it, it obviously is doing a wheelie. So, we're just going to have to do it in two halves.
So, it's not really much of a delay, but yeah, just got to cut them in half sometimes. So, this time I've got my blade right down as you can see.
Right down.
Control K. So, that's winched it up.
Now, I can lift my blade.
And yeah, that's working extremely well.
Oh, this is so good. So good.
And you act as if you don't care. It is something but the man.
So, this is the last of the ones in that pile.
I keep getting stuck on stuff. It's not like it can't pull it. It's just things keep catching it.
But there we go. We have managed to boost the capacity up to 86,000 liters from 69 uh just from clearing the trees that we were cleared to build the ramp. We're going to have loads more trees to bring into here. In fact, we're going to have to winch those massive trees from the spinach field, but probably not until the spinach has been harvested, unless we take them down across the track that way, which we can do certainly. But yeah, it's been a good episode. I always enjoy getting a different machine to use and this will be here to stay. So, thank you so much for watching. Hopefully you enjoyed it and until next time, see you again very soon. Bye for now.
