This analysis captures the brilliance of *Babylon 5*’s early world-building, where personal trauma serves as the catalyst for a grand, multi-layered conspiracy. It correctly identifies the episode as a pivotal shift from episodic storytelling to a sophisticated, long-form narrative architecture.

"The Line Was Triangles" | Babylon 5 - "And the Sky Full of Stars" [S1 - E8]Added:
Hello there and welcome to another episode of SchlockHeads.
I'm Fintrovert. I'm The Monolith.
And this time there are probably not going to be Melvin racist. Thank god for that.
>> [laughter] >> Enough. I live around him, man. I don't need more.
>> [laughter] >> But isn't it nice in a way?
What representation?
>> kind of representation, yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, it's lovely.
So glad.
>> [laughter] >> I mean we had a we had an uh Asian racist. Mhm, you don't get those very often.
>> racist.
And then we had then we had some, you know, traditional American racist.
The the the the classic.
Yeah, the classic.
But I think it is nice that there is proper representation all over the show.
Everybody's getting a fair crack. I appreciate that. It's good. [laughter] It is good.
But yeah, a lot of Muslim.
What are what are what are we on now?
Season 1 episode 8?
Yep. We're getting through these, man.
We're getting through.
Getting closer and closer to the midway point of season 1.
Yes.
Listen, I got to make it sound better so >> [laughter] >> You don't You don't realize the full magnitude of the project.
>> [laughter] >> I cannot even fathom how I I I cannot in concept right now see where this show is going cuz it's like I feel like we've covered so much, you know? I feel like we've already gone through so much of the the and so much of the races, but there's this feeling I mean we've we've still got four and a half seasons with some change to watch.
Is this all just a setup? Are we still in the you know, here's who everyone is and here's how they work. Cool. Now there's four seasons of [ __ ] go.
And I'm very excited.
Slightly nervous.
>> [laughter] >> Kind of erect.
I mean that is fair.
This time we are going to be watching and the sky full of stars.
And the sky full of stars.
Yes.
Happy episode?
Yeah, it sounds much happier than mine war and war prayer. Yeah. [laughter] Come on, day at the beach.
So, maybe this time you are at the beach and the sky is full of stars.
My god.
Sock puppet, dead friend puppet.
Same same.
See, there's the stars already. Oh, yeah, we got there.
And episode's over.
It was fun. Nothing bad happened.
>> one.
I Between this guy's hairline and his stern face what's he got? A bomb? What's he What's it What's What?
>> [laughter] >> Can't trust any [ __ ] on this station.
And this is another instance where if you knew Star [music] Trek you would have gone, "Oh my god." Yeah, another another old guard from Star Trek.
What?
Benson.
Benson wants his money. It's coming.
I'll have the credits for him first, then tomorrow.
You said that yesterday.
Oh.
Oh, dear.
24 hours, Benson.
Then we find you again, then we cut your head off.
And then, I'm coming.
You got a nice pick. What are you doing?
Come.
No, with that in your hand.
Are you following? No. Is that guy with the longer hair?
I have identified the target.
He was in the second Star Trek movie.
Wrath of Khan as the bad guy's kind of second in command.
When do we take him out?
Assassins? What are we doing? Well, that's not an ominous setup. It can still be a happy-go-lucky episode.
>> That's true. We can still have a good time.
There should be like a one of those telltale game pop-ups, and nobody believed that that's >> [laughter] >> Human, it can be a dangerous place, but it's our last, best >> No [ __ ] it can be a dangerous place. It hasn't been anything else so far.
So, we got is danger. The year is 2258.
The name of the place is Babylon 5.
>> Babylon 5.
And the sky full of stars, and it's an assassination episode.
Keeps me guessing every time.
You know what? I don't like the name Na'Toth.
Na'Toth? Is that thing she is pretty hot?
What the hell are you guys doing with that?
Benson, security level two. Building minis. You want to see the commander.
Mr. Benson, you haven't been with us very long, have you? First episode, sir.
>> One sir.
When you signed on, were you informed of the regulations about use of the casino by station personnel? If I may ask.
Security personnel are prohibited from gambling while on active duty. Off-duty gambling is limited to 50 credits per week. We hear you've been exceeding those limits, Mr. Benson. Oh, shut [ __ ] I thought it was about me coming on the floor.
>> [laughter] >> We have.
Our information is that you've been losing heavily, piling up debts. Your information's wrong.
Just tell him, dude. Look, okay, sir, I I do ride the limits pretty close.
But I've never gone over. If you were to get into debt with the wrong people, you'd become a security risk. You could be compromised, blackmailed.
>> He has very blue eyes. They are incredibly blue. Now, I'm giving you one last chance. If you have anything to tell us, I suggest you do Just tell him.
Conflict of the episode over. You just tell him.
>> Very well, then.
>> [laughter] >> Ah.
Then why didn't they just ride the eagles to Mordor in the first place, you know?
Sometimes things can just be simpler.
He's lying.
I can tell.
But where's the funny in that?
>> [laughter] >> The innocent lie because they don't want to be blamed for something they didn't do.
And the guilty lie because they don't have any other choice. Find out why he's lying. The rest will take care of itself.
Fair enough.
Yeah, it's that simple.
What about the palace wars?
I couldn't bring it with me into the station.
An energy pack >> God, there are so many blue eyes in this episode. Yeah.
It'll be here.
Are the eyes the stars?
>> [laughter] >> The eyes full of stars. And breathe out, please.
You know, I can't help but notice that identicard required was spelled wrong. Was it really?
>> [laughter] >> I appreciate this, Ambassador. I never get to see him in Barrio close unless there's something wrong.
>> I'll pop it in the edit so it looks But it was rick-ired. Oh.
>> [laughter] >> Is it true that you used to uh what is the term?
Hitchhike on starships? Yes. Yes. Well, I wanted to see it all. I traded my services Please put your robe on. I'm done seeing it all. Don't be too hasty.
>> no matter where they were going as long as I got to see something I hadn't seen before.
Naturally, all that ended when the war started. Were you involved in the war, doctor?
When things got bad for our side.
Those of us in xenobiology were told to hand over our notes on your people to be used in genetic and biological warfare. Classic.
And did you?
I took an oath that all life is sacred.
I destroyed my notes rather than have them used for killing.
Thank you.
It's nice of him. What about you, ambassador?
How many humans did you kill? Oh, thousands.
>> [laughter] >> A topic for another time.
>> You're [ __ ] You have it?
Yeah, I got it.
It's the limited edition collector's set.
Look, I start collecting Tyranids.
I just want my money. [laughter] Credits will be deposited to your account within the hour. It'll be Lictors Benson, really?
>> about my These two look sinister as [ __ ] man.
Like just in their face, they are sinister looking dudes. Yeah, they they have fantastic villain looks. Yeah.
I think we're ready to proceed. Got to got to check one thing before I'm going to say anything because I feel like I don't remember if I remember correctly.
>> Officer 7, Alpha Leader, I'm hit.
Pull out. Pull out.
Help us, Summer.
Oh, [ __ ] War.
Hold the line. No one gets through no matter what. Hold the line. Alpha Leader, you have a Memborian on your tail.
Targeting fighter.
Go. Mitchell, stay in formation. It's a trap. Mitchell.
That's the most of the Earth Minbari we've seen. You might remember him from a video game, one of the villains.
Yeah?
Mass Effect?
>> [laughter] >> Not this time.
But one of the places where he was was Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II.
Oh, yes. Sinclair to maintenance.
Who was he in there? Jerec.
The main bad guy.
Yeah. Sinclair to maintenance. No [ __ ] Observation.
I'll have to have a look at his face again.
Security.
I'm just neurotically checking that I'm not accidentally muted.
>> [laughter] >> Going on Sinclair, what are we doing?
Probably running into danger as usual.
It's his favorite hobby. Granted in this circumstance it is more understandable than usual.
It's [ __ ] weird.
This is Commander Sinclair. All sectors report in. All sectors report. Earth Central, this is Babylon 5. Earth Central, please respond. Hey, what what are they they got him in a dream state?
What are they What the hell? This is Earth Station Babylon 5 to all ships in grid epsilon. Please respond. Computer.
Computer.
What the [ __ ] Oh, well.
Was there an evacuation order in the last 8 hours?
Negative. Scan for any other life forms.
Confirmed. One other life form detected.
One? Location? Central corridor, blue sector. It's slightly than half a million. Yeah, just a smidge. Computer.
Computer. I'm in the blue corridor set.
No one else is here.
>> going on around here?
Maybe you're going to sleep.
Maybe you're insane.
Maybe you're dead.
Maybe you're in hell. Maybe I am very dramatic.
>> [laughter] >> Wherever you go, you're mine. Dad?
Pros and cons of interspecies mating.
I'm reading it for the articles.
Mr. Garibaldi, I apologize for intruding, but I was supposed to meet Commander Sinclair at the council room an hour ago.
He never came. I thought you might have seen I might have. No, sorry. Have you tried the observation dome? Lieutenant Commander Ivanova hasn't seen him since last night. Commander, this is Garibaldi.
If you'll excuse me, I'll have to get back to you later. Mhm. Who are you?
What have you done to my station?
Nothing. You, however, are a different story. Your mind is in here with me, but your body is somewhere else, wrapped in cybernetic implants and pulse generators all tied up in a cerebral matrix. We are in >> virtual reality cybernet.
>> Then you're saying all of this is a simulation, not real. What is real, Commander?
This >> All right, Morpheus. Commander, here you are. I've been looking all over the place for you. Garibaldi?
Oh. No. No need for alarm. As you said, a simulation only. Commander.
Trippy. Commander.
Commander.
How's it going, Commander? A great way to [ __ ] with somebody's brain.
>> as many times as you like. We're locked together here in your mind. It's a shadow play.
Without form >> Okay, so what do they want? For [ __ ] sake.
>> I'm real, Commander.
And you're real.
And the pay the pay for you is also real.
You feel that poking into your leg, Commander? That's real.
Commander.
Commander.
Jeff.
Yeah, he doesn't seem to be home.
It's impressive that they managed to get in and get him without alerting anyone or any anything like curious as to how they managed that. How many of you are they clearly didn't pay to security personnel to ensure that they could manage to do it. Wait, did they? There was the gambling problem.
All right, of course. Sorry.
>> [laughter] >> to play around with. But your thoughts are rooted here in this station. It means a lot to you, doesn't it?
>> You're so focused on the Warhammer figures that >> Yeah, no, I was really like >> [laughter] >> Another reason you need lots of money, you know? until we get what we came for.
We'll walk together across We need the 11th edition stat sheets for the Adeptus Mechanicus. Why are you doing this?
To find the truth. 10 years ago, you were at the Battle of the Line, final and decisive battle of the Earth-Minbari War. For 24 hours, you were out of touch with Earth Force Defense.
>> Hey now, you're an old style.
>> So you testified.
Just one problem, I don't believe you.
And I'm not the only one. It's been a long time, Commander.
But we're finally going >> God, they all have blue eyes. Yeah, that's it's oddly blue. No, you. Not yet. I've pulled all non-essential personnel and assigned them to the search party, but a place this big it could take days. I've notified our base in the Tiger sector and asked them to track every ship that's left here in the last 8 hours.
You might also want to send a couple of maintenance bots outside the station on close proximity scan. Go over every inch of the hole. What should they look for?
>> Fair enough.
A body. If someone shoved it outside, the station's gravity won't let it get far. Grim, but good thinking. There are days I'm very glad I don't have to think the way you do. Your name is Jeffrey David Sinclair, rank commander, age 39, born on Mars Colony May 3rd, 2218, 9:15 a.m. It's almost Sinclair's birthday.
Enlisted in Earth Force Defense, 2237, promoted to fighter pilot, 2240.
Promoted again to squad leader less than a year later. A career officer.
>> We've had an ambassador episode, so now it's time for a Jeff episode. They said you'd make admiral one day. So, what happened, Commander? Where did you fall off the merry-go-round? Go to hell. I don't have to tell you a thing, and I'm betting you don't have a lot of time.
Security's probably turning this place upside down looking for me. Assuming you're still on Babylon 5. Assuming we hadn't taken you somewhere else. But, you're right. You don't have to tell me anything. You'll tell Mitchell to Sakho.
Well, jeez, it's nice to be here.
>> [snorts] >> Mitchell?
Sock puppet, dead friend puppet.
Time's up.
Ejecting to where? Why did you betray us?
Mitchell's dead. This isn't real.
We fought for you. We fought beside you on the line. We swore we would all go down together. That was after the fight.
But, you're alive.
And we're dead. Billy Mitchell? Because of you.
It's not true.
He wasn't even on the line.
>> You wouldn't listen.
You never listen.
I tried. Tried to do what >> Listen, the court is as close to a line as you can get.
>> [laughter] >> Tried to ram them in body cruisers, that it? Yes, it was in my report.
>> what? I don't remember. Uh-huh. I've never been able to remember.
>> You don't want to remember. You don't want to remember the 24 hours Whether he wants to or not, if he doesn't remember, he doesn't remember.
The day you sold Jeff Punch. Well, well.
Looks like the pain is real for both of us. Classic Jeff Punch.
Solves most of the station's problems.
Yeah, it seems to be that way.
>> [laughter] >> Is there anything I can do?
If the commander is missing.
>> We're doing everything we can, ambassador. Have you tried to telepath Dahlia Winters?
>> She's a level P5, requires close proximity or physical contact. She's not trained for search and recover. Also, we haven't paid her for this episode. Have you tried punching?
>> you're all right? Yes. It's just the way you snapped out of the silence. I'm all right. Took me by surprise, that's all.
He's tough.
Breaking him isn't going to be easy.
What's happening out there? They're aware that commander is missing and they've launched a full search. How long until they hit this sector? Three, maybe four hours. Running out of time.
You should rest.
>> No. What are you going to do if you get punched again, idiot?
>> The more I walk through his mind, the more I'm convinced he's hiding something. But we have to accelerate the program. Break his grip on reality. Blur the lines. I can increase the dosage of metazine another 10%. But he might start hallucinating. Do it. Then bring up the cyber field 30% and put me back inside.
It's dangerous.
It could shatter his mind or kill him. I don't think they're too fussed about that. Yeah.
They don't [laughter] seem His physical well-being doesn't seem to be a concern. Yeah, just finding out what they want is the only thing they seem to care about. So far, nothing. Break your teams up into smaller units, two men a piece. We need to cover more ground. Put on everyone you can. We already have. I even pulled in Miller and Benson. Benson? He's a security risk. We pulled him off active duty pending the investigation. I know.
We checked his files. He's clean. No debts. He's even got a surplus in his station account. That's impossible.
Uh see for yourself. He's got 5,000 credits in his account. No, yeah, but this wasn't here 24 hours ago. That's 5 grand left in his account after he paid off lots of debts. Original deposit was 15,000. Where does a grunt like Benson get 15 grand? I don't I know. Some shady blonde guys with really blue eyes. 4 hours later those 700 >> [laughter] >> commander went missing.
Find Benson. Bring him here. I want to ask him some questions. Right. Neither Swedes want to be trusted. I just love the idea that a security chief can just check his subordinate's account.
Yeah, I hadn't even thought about that.
Yeah.
Let's see it, commander. I mean, fair enough. Maybe that could be because he's under investigation and so on.
But commander No, the concept itself is kind of Yeah, that's that's that's maybe a bit weird. Okay.
Oh, yeah.
All of his unpainted minis come to haunt him.
>> [laughter] [snorts] >> You could just get us to table top standard.
What are you doing here? What do you want?
What do you want? What do you want? What do you want?
>> Two thin coats of Mephiston Red.
>> [laughter] >> You've got to help me. The whole station's looking for me.
They think I had something to do with the commander.
>> I don't have time for this. The hell was that?
Not the commander.
Terminate.
Well, okay. Bye, Benson.
>> [laughter] >> I mean, it's been a while since we've had a proper murder. Yeah. You saw something, didn't you?
Just before you blacked out. I almost saw it with you. Gray gray figures. Like a council of some sort.
>> mean?
When did this happen? What are you hiding?
I'm not hiding anything. We all hide things, commander. That's why we bounced back here again, isn't it? This is where you hide, behind duty and responsibility and obligation. Things you'd never understand.
>> Wrong. No, wrong.
We're both patriots in our own way.
Uh-huh. If I fail, more will come after me until the job is finished. But now it's time, commander. We're going to find out what else you're hiding. You seem very certain of that. Time to look at your Reddit posts. floating outside the red sector. We linked an issue No.
Not much left. They depressurize fast when they're shoved out into space. Ah, I see. You're frequenting r/comingonfigurine.
>> [laughter] >> You won't be getting very far by very far without being noticed. It was a misclick, a misclick.
Commander Sinclair, for the last time, what happened at the Battle of the Line?
I was trying to ram the Minbari cruiser.
The next thing I know, it's 24 hours later and the war >> was over. The Minbari had surrendered on the eve of their victory. They gave up.
>> So Do you expect us to believe that you slept through the whole thing? Your ship was up the screens for 24 hours. You didn't just black out. Your ship >> I'm curious. screens malfunctioned. The hearing proved that. If he spoke with the Grey Council and just convinced him to end the war?
>> They wouldn't have went at the line, they surrendered.
>> Precisely my point. They surrendered.
Why? But then why would he not say anything about it?
Uh mind wipe technology, I don't know.
Why risk their lives?
>> But what are they mind wiping them if he's just convinced them that it's a bad idea to kill all humans? Yeah, I know.
>> people like you.
Questions.
>> Look at us, commander. Would explain why Delenn's on Babylon 5 though.
>> alien migration, aliens buying up real estate by the square mile, alien funding of Babylon 5. What they couldn't take by force, they're corrupting inch by inch.
What does that have to do with me? They took you aboard their ship, fixed you some milk and cookies, and asked you to work for them. Be their eyes, their ears, their voice. That's a hell of a theory. You agreed.
I mean, it'd take a lot more than milk and cookies to get me on board.
>> other people?
And then they let you go. You're insane.
>> Like putting bacon and eggs, maybe we can talk. How can you be sure? You just said you don't remember. Mitchell, what about Mitchell?
>> That's enough.
>> Tiered need combat patrol, I'm on I'm on board.
You talk about Mitchell and the rest but you don't know them.
They were my friends.
But some of Mitchell and Delenn feed pics and uh One by one.
For years afterwards, whenever I saw them at Bar I had to fight the urge to strangle them with my bare hands. All I could see was Mitchell and the rest dying. Why? Because we were outnumbered and outgunned. We never had a chance.
You say we could have won but you weren't there, you didn't see them. When I looked at those ships, I I didn't just see my death, I saw the death of the whole damn human race. Then why did they surrender? I don't know.
>> Uh [ __ ] ask them in Bar then, dude.
Maybe God changed his mind. All I know is that we got a second chance.
Nothing's ever made you doubt your story that you blacked out. Is that it? No. Except, except what?
There is a hole in your mind. Oh, yeah, yeah. There certainly is. Come on, you're close.
What? Things from the pilot episode coming back.
What happened at the Battle of the Line?
Don't you want to know just for yourself?
>> I want to know, but I don't want these guys to know.
Yes. Speaking of the pilot episode.
Yes, I do.
Then go.
These things were added into the pilot episode during his monologue.
Really?
They weren't in the original broadcast there.
Voices of this battle in the background.
It was just his monologue. Interesting.
Oh, I see. Ejecting takes the front panel off. I really thought it was like a plane eject, like where you Where the [ __ ] are you going to go, man?
Yeah, it's like a little life pod. Yeah.
That you can survive in for a while.
That's pretty cool.
Also, speaking of the pilot again.
The name of the episode Is that from his monologue? of the sky full of stars. Yeah.
>> Each of them an exploding ship.
One of ours.
[ __ ] a day.
Why are you doing this? We're seeing a lot more than I thought we would.
Okay, he's waking up. Everyone get in position. Look real ominous.
He didn't say anything. I don't think he thought my triangle was cool.
>> [laughter] >> I think it's cool. Thanks, I thought so, too.
What do you want?
Why are you doing this?
Who are you?
I know. I know you.
I know who you are.
Sorry.
Jeffrey.
>> [laughter] >> Punch.
>> [laughter] >> You won't like me when I'm Jeffrey.
>> [laughter] >> I'm very uncomfortable.
That's what I'm talking about. Get back to my ship. Oh, [ __ ] We did say quite a lot. Yeah, way more than I thought we were going to say.
But Got it.
Now listen to me next time. What does he mean?
>> [laughter] >> [ __ ] hell. All right.
Is he going to [ __ ] shoot the LAN for [ __ ] sake?
>> [groaning] >> I mean, he is high as a [ __ ] kite right now, so who knows?
Uh, that's not good. Jacked into the [ __ ] Matrix brain of a dude who's not connected to it anymore. Like, he's brain dead for sure.
Commander.
Commander.
Oh, Jesus.
Security to CNC, I found the commander.
I'm following him Oh, [ __ ] Oh, okay. [ __ ] hell.
Security, this is CNC. Please repeat.
It was all thank god she >> level two. I'm on it. She survived. Oh, never mind.
>> [laughter] >> What the hell? Commander?
Commander Sinclair, please report in.
The audio in the background is like an advertisement. Time to get over to Gooch Hut.
Is it like Pizza Hut but for paints? What the [ __ ] >> [laughter] >> Commander, I Hello?
We found someone in Red 3. I think this is where they kept the commander. Looks like he's been treated with psychotropic drugs. He may be delusional, confused.
In his present state, he may even be considered dangerous. Incredibly existential. Don't ask him to look in a mirror. Yeah, thanks. I kind of got that impression. Keep me informed.
Uh-oh.
Ambassador, stay back. Can't hear you.
Ears too small. It's me, commander.
You're safe.
No one will harm you. Delenn, you tricky [ __ ] What are you doing? I know.
I know you.
I know who you are.
I'm your friend, commander.
Ambassador Delenn.
Uh-huh. Your friend.
No.
I know you.
I know you.
Whoop. Goodbye.
Also, way to go, Garibaldi, not taking care of that. I know, right?
>> [laughter] >> Welcome back.
Had a free shot and everything. No problem.
Oh, there he is, though.
Maybe he's still going, "Well, if they shoot Jeff, I could get promoted."
>> [laughter] >> Win-win. Got to get Jay. Got to get flush the rest of those drugs out, but your system has been through quite a shock. Where's the prisoner? He's being transferred to a shuttle headed for home, our central exercise jurisdiction.
Of course they did.
>> back on Earth for trial. They say he's part of an organization back home that's trying to prove collusion between Earth officials and the Minbari. There's even a rumor it's a covert operation run from Sector >> That's what I was about to say, like interesting they want him back.
>> the cybernetic. You set up a neural feedback charge that fried most of his memory. Oh, nice. I want to see.
I don't think that's a No. I mean, it's fine. It's not like we have been given an idea that there may be some government and corporate secrets.
Government and corporate secrets?
>> the prisoner for a moment.
I know it's science fiction, but this is getting silly. He's all yours.
>> [laughter] >> You never told me your name. I I don't have one. You couldn't pull off something this big without help. Who sent you? Who are you working for? I can't I don't remember anything.
Convenient. It's no use, Commander.
We've tried.
He's gone.
>> he did get his cyber punched.
Very few come back from a death punch.
Commander Sinclair. So, he got off easy.
Yeah? This Don't say it.
There's something in my >> All right, I thought he was going to say there's a hole in your mind. It says maybe you're still inside.
Maybe we're both Well, uh [ __ ] Don't be throwing this kind of maybe it's all a simulation [ __ ] at me.
Don't [ __ ] do that to me, dude. Don't even think about it.
Babylon control Too late.
Thought about Uh stop.
You are better.
Yes.
I wanted to thank you for your help. I was pretty messed up.
Delusional.
Strange that seeing you was the only thing that could snap me out of it.
>> Yeah, strange. Real strange. [ __ ] strange. No, I suggest rest.
It will help you heal. Out of curiosity, do you remember anything from your >> Yeah, just curiosity. Yeah.
No ulterior motives. Of course not. No.
Sorry.
Not a thing. Mhm.
You're not the only one who can keep secrets, Delenn.
He must never know what happened.
If he should find out, he must be killed.
Do you understand, Delenn? [music] It's probably just the hair [ __ ] thing that he looks like Carl Gass.
Computer.
Personal log >> orb?
I have a good bit of orb. I remember.
I was taken inside of an Embari cruiser, interrogated, tortured.
Uh-huh.
Who was that?
The Grey Council.
Maybe before they surrendered, they must have blanked my memory.
Yeah. And let me go. Why would they do that? What What was in your brain? What was she doing there?
What is it they don't want me to remember?
I have to find out. Ah, [ __ ] I have to.
Ah, [ __ ] Ah, you [ __ ] Time to get over to Gooch Hut.
Just enough information. Just enough to get the hook and me the big [ __ ] fish taking a [ __ ] bite of the god damn worm.
Oh, Babylon 5.
And your secrets.
>> [clears throat] >> God.
That's a season 5 [ __ ] series finale answer. They're going to be baiting me with that [ __ ] for years.
>> [laughter] >> You bastards.
Okay, yeah. What does it mean?
Ah.
>> [laughter] >> You [ __ ] And this is why I wanted to have this as the session finale. Yeah.
Yeah, I got to sit with this for another When are we When will we back on in a week? I have to sit with this for a week.
No, if we're going to watch a movie thing next week.
>> Ah, even longer.
>> [laughter] >> Ah, piss. Okay, well, I'll have to wait and find out.
Mhm.
God damn. And you know what? The next episode will finally be the You know I've decided Garibaldi, we're all going to the beach.
Questions? No. Cocktails?
[ __ ] son of a [ __ ] >> Yeah, do you want to know the name of the next episode?
>> What's the name of the next episode, Finn?
I mean, it's it's a nice It's a nice name for an episode. So, I'm I'm fairly certain you're right.
It's Deathwalker. Oh, for [ __ ] sake.
>> [laughter] >> Oh, for god's sake. What are they doing?
>> [laughter] >> Okay.
I don't know what was worse. I like if it was going to be a we're not going to touch anything that we've just talked about or if it's going to be a death walker. Death walker?
>> [laughter] >> You got to up the game from Soul Hunter, I guess.
Oh, okay. Yeah, that's going to be haunting me until we [ __ ] record next. Um I got to know. I got to know. Like my working theory at the moment is everything played out as it was and then they found I don't know. What information would Jeff have going into it? Probably nothing, but it's certainly it's a good theory that the Minbari were like, "Hey, we could take over more than just Earth if we I don't know, get them to set up a station where we can have everyone in one place for peace and uh you know, maybe the station can be run by humans, so it'll stay close contact with Earth at all times and maybe run by that guy who we just [ __ ] grabbed and Delenn, you go hang out there and by the way, the station was secretly a giant [ __ ] bomb or a [ __ ] portal from the Minbari home world to Earth that will make a second invasion happen much easier and we'll be able to take out the [ __ ] Narn and Centauri while we're at it because we're the Minbari and we seem like we're not a warrior race, but really we've got the big we're the biggest, scariest [ __ ] around and then Delenn's going to have to have this thing of like, "Oh, Commander, I got to kill your whole race, but I like you, so I won't." And then they got to have a big fight in the last episode and that's five seasons from now.
The end. [laughter] >> [gasps] >> And all of that is purely just because Mass Effect.
>> [laughter] >> You know. But I didn't see any similarities there. There's this >> [laughter] >> Ah, [ __ ] it, dude, man. I don't know where any of this is going and that's exciting and terrifying.
Yeah, but this was a this was a good one because uh as you were talking about all the pre a lot of the previous episodes were basically world building. Yeah.
And now we were reminded that there was this whole underlying thing that was building up at the beginning.
Which hasn't really been touched that often. Yeah.
And now it was there in the forefront that remember there is more to this.
There is an overarching plot of what the [ __ ] happened at the end of the Minbari the Earth-Minbari War.
Mhm.
What the [ __ ] happened?
Ah, [groaning] [ __ ] So this was basically a good reminder episode now that we have built quite a lot of characters previously.
>> Yeah.
Now we got some glimpses of uh the war itself where it was clear that things were not going particularly well for humanity.
And you're right, it was a reminder episode because like what information did we get that was new? It that's all like everything that we saw was things that we sort of already had been led like we knew about Delenn and the Grey Council. We knew um that he disappeared for what was it 24 hours. We knew that there was something fuckey there.
So and it didn't really beyond actually showing us uh Sinclair with the Grey Council. That was that was new, but it was more of a confirmation than anything. It wasn't really a big reveal so much as a is this what you thought happened? Cuz this is what this is probably what happened.
But then it is it what happened? Is that a simulation? Was that Grey Council?
[ __ ] it, dude. You know?
>> [laughter] >> We also did learn that the Minbari like triangles.
They do like triangles. That's true.
Is that That's something.
>> [laughter] >> Can't wait to find out what the [ __ ] that means three seasons from now.
>> [laughter] >> Minbari like triangles.
I don't know what else to say cuz Jeff was tied to a triangle and then they waved around a glowing triangle.
>> And they had it on their heads, yeah.
So they like triangles.
They do like their triangles.
[ __ ] sake. Well, that was a good episode.
I enjoyed it.
>> a it was a good little tease for what's going to happen next.
Yeah, that's what we learned.
Death walker.
What [laughter] do you mean death walker?
God damn it.
Thank you for watching. I hope you're just as enticed and excited and as we ready for more like I am.
Hope you enjoyed this video.
[ __ ] See everybody.
I am trying to schedule this funnily.
>> [laughter] >> We before we started it was like, you know, we should probably try and get to episode 8 today.
>> [laughter] >> I was like, yeah, how come?" And he was like, "Oh, just reasons. We should just try and get there today." I was like, "All right, yeah, cool." Like a [ __ ] idiot is what I am.
Thinking I wouldn't end this session [ __ ] pissed off and frustrated and like, "I can't watch this without Finn."
And we're not free for another week.
>> [laughter] >> And then we're probably going to watch a [ __ ] movie. So, we don't even Oh, you're a bastard.
Thank you for liking the video if you like this video. Thank you for subscribing to the channel.
Thanks for sharing it, leaving a comment.
Oh god.
I I can't say anything. I'm so [ __ ] I'm so exhausted from laughing.
I [ __ ] hate triangles.
