They called it Operation Peace for Galilee, and then Israel occupied Southern Lebanon for 18 years, which they said was because they needed a security zone. See, there are a lot of Palestinians in Lebanon. If we go back even further in time to the 1948 Palestine War, which was a civil war between the Arab and Jewish communities following the UN partition plan, 100,000 of the 730,000 Palestinians that fled or were forced to leave went to Lebanon.
