The May 2026 Kill Team tournament data reveals a healthy meta with Sanctifiers leading at 59% win rate, while Wolf Scouts remain problematic despite nerfs; the meta is the healthiest in nearly two years, with most factions falling within the 55-45% healthy range, though GT Plus and GT Long events show more variance with Sanctifiers at 72% and 95% respectively.

Kill Team | May 2026 Tournament StatsAdded:
Greetings and welcome to another Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team video where today I'm going over the global tournament stats for May for Kill Team.
But before we get into things, please remember to like and subscribe as well as comment. Let me know what you thought of today's video if you found it useful and helpful. Remember, I've got a Discord you can check out for free in the episode description below, an affiliate link at Element Games, an affil link by the same token, an affiliate discount code at Crossfire Games, and a Patreon if you want to give me some more support. Let's get on with today's video. So, yeah, I've landed back in the UK about 4 hours ago and uh let's I'm going through the stats. I got the the May stats for you for for globally for Kill Team. One thing thanks goes to Smiles Gunfire. Without him, none of this would be possible. And I'll have a stats website down in the episode description below where you can look at stuff like matchup data. And once again, all of our data is collected from best coast pairings basically. Okay. And if you're not using best coast pairs, then your tournament won't be on there. But let's get on and see how May has shaped up with a full month after the balance data slate. Starting off with the world map, we can see America 474 players, but notably the United Kingdom with 21 events from 29 with five GTs and 449 players. There was a big month for the UK. They actually almost overtook America, which I think really good.
Interestingly, we didn't have any like consistently large events in the UK, like above like, you know, 60 or more players, but we just had a lot of events, which is really good. Then you had Spain in third place with 332. Then Poland, Canada, there was a Russian event, which I think around 120 players, but they weren't on Best Coast Parents, so we couldn't include the data. That's why they're down at the bottom. They only had one event on Best Coast Parents. We had events from Brazil, South Africa, Venezuela, you know, Peru.
Awesome. Awesome. See, and you know, Ukraine and the Philippines. Amazing.
So, here's how it looks on the world map. As you can see, the brighter the color, the more densely populated the player base is. So, you know, more games than last month, but we are getting into prime tournament season for Kill Team.
So, obviously, there's going to be more games. Now, starting off with the win May win rate. So, for eight or more player events with three or more rounds.
So, going from the top with 59%, we have Sanctifiers 155 games. On the low end, Fast Talker Kin canban 58% with 160 games. Felgore Ravager 57% 209 games.
Breachers 57% on 114. Wolf Scouts 56% on 423 games. Rattlings 56% on 124 games.
And then we have Raveners just above 55, like basically 55% on 503 games. Then in the healthy range, so 55 to 45% with Hand of the Archon, Brew Brothers, Blades of Kane, you know, still fine. Hi at 54%, Exaction Squad doing really well at 53. Angel at 52%, but with 709 games.
They're the most popular faction in the game. Again, nothing to be surprised at there. Murdering at 51%, Koptic at 51, doing a bit better this month.
Salvagers, they were at 70% at one point, but have come down to 50%. Then we have Goreongers at 50%. Celestian Incidians at 50%, Aquillins at 49, Scouts going up to 48. They had an amazing month, Kazakin at 48%, Vesper at 48, Mandrekes at 47, Spectre Squad actually picking up in the last week.
They were down at the bottom in like the 20s, but they're at 47% but only 51 games. Not bad. Death Watch at 47%. Then we also have Plague Marines at 47, Wreckers at 45, Inquisition at 45, and Jagger's at 45. just out of their healthy range, like technically just in a stealth suits at 45%. And the weird thing, despite their lowish win rate, their player base is growing every month. So that's actually really good to see, Chaos Colt dropped down to 45%, Battle Glade are at 45% and Nemesis Claw are at 43%. So we actually, if you're looking at the classified meta, have a really healthy game. For the declassified teams, you can see Hunterclade are at 68%.
You know, just missing off that 67%. Uh then at 52%, Star Strid is at 51, Fobos at 48, Death Core at 46. Uh, we're never getting Banana. And then in the unhealthy range, Warp Coven at 44, Legionary at 39, Blooded at 37, uh, Wormblader at 36, Void Dancer Troop at 33 with three games, Commanders at 33% with 44 games, Pathfinders at 30%, well, 27% with 13, and 13% with four games.
Now, here's all in chart format. So, as you can see, looking at the classified meta, this is actually the healthiest meta we've ever had. this entire edition. I I think that's that's a good thing. We've finally, you know, it's taken 18 months, but finally Kill Well, actually nearly two years, but regardless, Kill Team is finally in a healthy spot. It it it took nearly two years, but it's amazing. Like, I'm I'm not even trying to spin this as a joke.
This is great. Look, we only have one really underperforming faction, which actually Nemesis Claw. And then on the top end, slightly overperforming Sanctifiers. They had a really weird month. They went from like nothing to bonkers. Fast Orc is actually consistently doing really well, so they may be a problem going forwards.
Felgore, I mean, everyone, I don't extrapolate on Falore. Breachers, they're consistently strong. They've been doing really well since they were buffed back in January. And then Wolf Scouts, they're just like, we can take all the nerfs. Come on, nerf us again, baby. So, and and Raveners doing quite well as well. And Rattlings, so really good. And then if you look at the declassified went on the charts. Yeah, it's a bit wonky. But once again, it's very difficult with declassified teams because it's not like they're innately bad. It's because we have hardly any class non like declassified events. So once again, it's not that people aren't playing these factions. They are. It just when it comes to tournaments, we don't really have many declassified events, which is just a real shame. Then going over podium data for all the events, this is for how many times a faction won and went undefeated. So look looking at the chart, you know, this helps offset the win rate data. Angels of Death won 14 events and went undefeated five times. Uh it's not good.
Raveners also won 13 events and went undefeated six times. This is their like best performing month, I think, which is uh terrifying. SC Wolf Scouts, they won 11 events despite all the nerfs and they have a really good win rate and they went undefeated four times. Celestians also had a really strong month once again from their tournament performance despite their middle win rate. They won seven events and went undefeated four times. And Reckers, you know, they dropped down in their win rate, but they still won six events and went undefeated three times. So despite them going down a bit in power, they're still consistently doing well at events from the podium side. Then you look at Fogle, they won six events. Breachers and Blades of Kane won five events and went undefeated once each. Then Nemesis Claw, despite their really low win rate, won four events and went undefeated four times. Fast or Kimban won four events and went undefeated twice. Salvages, Aqualons, and Death Watch all won four events and went undefeated once each.
Death Watch really like they have not a great win rate, but they still have some really good players. Then we have XV26 stealth battles suits. Despite their win rate, they won three events and went undefeated five times. Hand of the archon rattlings and vestes won three events and went undefeated once. Gore mongers won three events. Murder murder wing won two events and went undefeated four times. Mandrekes and plague marines both won two events and went undefeated twice. Then Sanctifiers, Inquisition, Spectre Squad and Battleclade all won two events. And then Koptic, Kazakin, and Scouts all won one event each and went undefeated twice. Hierarch won an event and went undefeated once. And then Brood Brothers and Jaggers both won one event each. with the only factions not to win an event on the classified side being Exaction and Chaos Cult. Going over the declassified podium data, we can see Corsair won free events, but their win rate was just fine. It's good.
Hunter Glade won one event with Phobos both going undefeated once, and then Legionary and Commandos won one event each. So, those declassified teams still got some game. Going on to GT Plus for May. So, these are events with four or more rounds and 16 or more players. So this is more the competitive side of Kill Team where we get to more competitive events where the data gets technically a little bit more reliable.
Sanctifiers 23 games 72%. But once again very low selection of games. I will say for Sanctifiers they started the month like the first two weeks of May they were like at 35% and then with the last two weeks they just went all the way back up. Failure 147 games 60%.
Breachers 59% with 50 games. Exaction doing really well. 59% on 104 games.
Salvagers doing really well. 58% on 68 games. They were actually on something crazy like a 70%. Brood Brothers on 58% with 58 games. Fastalker Himband still maintaining their win rates at 57 on 91 games. Rattling's going a bit better at 57% on 60 games. And then Hierek going up to 56% with 126 games. Then in the healthy range we have Ravena 54% 273 games. So they're doing a little bit worse when it comes to more competitive events. Angels of death do a bit better with 500 well 52% sorry with 377 games.
Then we've got Koptic at 52%. Blade of Kane at 52. Hand of the Archon at 52.
Wolf Scouts at 51%. Murder wing at 51%.
Scout Squad at 51. Celestian Incidients at 50%. Plague Marines at 49. Aqualon's at 49 along with Kazakin. Mandrekes at 48. Vesper at 47. Inquisition at 47, Gmongers at 46, Battle Blade at 46, Reck is at 46, Death Watch at 46, and just outside of the health range, we have Kelk at 44, Jagger's dropping down to 41%, Stealth Suits at 40%, well 41%, Nemesis Claw dropping down to 38%, and then Spec Squad when it goes to GT Plus 35% but with only 20 games. And here, as you can see, for the declassified events, you've got higher attack 100% win rate, four games. They played four, won four, then they went home. Uh, Corsair 63% with 23 games. Death core at 60%, blooded at 60%, warp cover 50%, perfectly balanced. Star shrers 45%, Phobos at 41, Legionary at 30, Commandos at 27, and Nviciates at 13. So, looking at the chart, when you go to GT Plus, so at the more competitive side of the event, it gets a bit more wonky. We now have more underperforming teams and we also have more overperforming teams but we still have quite a large healthy range. Obviously Sanctify has been the anomaly but they only have 22 games so it is a bit sus right bit not great. And then for the declassified chart you can see the same thing there. A bit you know just wonky because we don't have many declassified events. Then we go into GT plus podium data. So, as you can see in the table, it shows how many times a faction won an event, how many times they podium, and how many times they went maximum one loss and minimum three wins. So, in the chart, you can see Felgore uh end up being one of the better performing factions again with winning three events and podium four times. Celestians won three events along with Wolf Scouts and they both podium three times. So, they maintain their tour tournament dominance. Raveners only won two events, went undefeated twice and podium six times. And then Angels of Death had the highest ratio of threeon- ones. They won two events. They podium five times and went undefeated once. So both Raveners and Angels of Death doing a little bit worse when it comes to GT plus instead of like overall but still really powerful results. Salvagers won two events going undefeated once podiuming once. And then we have Hand of the Archon and Blades of Kane both winning two events, podiuming twice.
Breachers won two events. Then hierate, Koptic and Fasttor was all won one event. Went undefeated once and podium twice. Rattlings and Inquisition both won one event and podium twice. Aqualons and Death Watch both won one event, podium twice. Well, once each and then Plague Marines and Sanctifiers won an event each. Wreckers went undefeated once and then podium four times.
Exaction and battleclade podium four times. Mandrekes podium twice. Brood Brothers, Murdering, Stealth Suits, Gourmongers, Kazkin, and Nemesis Claw all podium once. And then that's it. The only one not to podium win or go undefeated were Vesperid Scout Squad, Chaos Qualt, Jagger and Spectre Squad.
And then going on on the declassified data, Corsair won two events, Hunter Glade won one event. No one else did anything else. Now we go on to GT long.
So these events with five or more rounds and 30 or more players. So these are like the super majors basically because there's less of them. They're going to be factions that are missing. So, as you can see, Sanctifiers have a 95% win rate with 11 11 games.
Fine. Uh, exaction so silly. Exaction squad 63% 43 games. Koptic 63% eight games. Hand of the archon 62%, hierarch 58. Brood brothers 56, Celestians 56, Mandre's 56, Kasakin at 55. Then Raven is at 55, Angel Death at 54, Inquisition at 54, Wolf Scouts at 52, Death Watch at 52, Gourmongers at 52, Murderwing at 52, Chaos Call at 50, Wreckers at 50, Vesper at 50, Battleclaid at 49, Breaches at 47, Aqualon's at 46, Rattling's at 46, and then just below the healthy range, we have Plague Marines at 43, Spectre squad doing quite well, 43% for their first month. Then we have Blades of Kane at 40%, Fast Stalkers at 38, Nemesis Clock 36, Stealth Suits at 36, Scouts at 40 35, Salvagers dropping down to 32%, Felgore at 32%, and then JΓ€ger at 27%.
For declassified GT Long, cuz we had one, I think. Uh, Corsair, they have a 90 93% win rate with seven games. Defc 60% five 60% win rate with five games.
And then Phobos 47% with 19 games. So all good. So as you can see in the chart once again GT long there's less events, less factions. It's a bit more wonky, but it is actually probably the healthiest GT long we've ever had. And obviously you can see Sanctifier is just breaking the chart. Whatever. Fine. Like it it's just it's just weird. Just just funny. Embrace it. But otherwise that's how it looks like in chart format. And then for the declassified, they're doing really they're way better. You know, there's only three of them, but none of them are underperforming. They're doing really well. Then we've got your GT long podium data. So once again, going over how many times a faction one event podium and went three and once. So as you can see, Inquisition won one event podium once. Then Wolf Scouts, Death Watch, and Sanctifiers all won a GT long event. Like really shouted to Death Watch. That's actually very impressive.
Uh as well as the other factions. But then Celestian Insidians podium twice.
So they're consistently doing really well across no matter what format you're playing for podiuming and placing. Then Exaction Squad, Mand Drakes, Angels of Death, Ravenous, Reckers, Battleglade, Aqualons, all podium ones. And interestingly, Celestians and Exaction Squad had the highest rate of three and ones. So, you know, Exaction doing really well this month, but Celestians doing consistently well in all formats, but they did the same thing last month.
And then for the declassified podium data, as you can see, Corsair's won a GT long event. And uh that was it. And as you can see here, this is the list of events we used for the entire month of May. So for the May tournament stats overview, this actually like the meta is actually personally in a really good spot. We have some problem factions still like clearly wolf scouts are a problem. They are still a problem and it's not surprising if they get nerfed again, but we'll see. you know, we still need to see what happens next month, but actually the meta is in a really good spot. And, you know, it did take nearly two years, but the meta seems to be in a we finally have a competitive healthy meta. Like, uh, if you were paying attention week by week, the meta was actually going all over the place with the win rates. Like, for one point, Hoffkin salvage is like 80%, Sanctifi 35, then it all switched around. I mean, Hoffkin still had a really good month, but once again, at the normal level, they kind of dropped off back into the healthy range, but once we got to more competitive events, they spiked up again. So, maybe they'll be a problem, but we'll need to see once again for the June stats. We have Felore consistently overperforming. Raveners are doing really well, and it's probably due to the dominate change, but they are very popular faction once again. But unfortunately, due to the buff dominate, they're probably going to get a nerf. I don't see how they they aren't Celestians and Angels of Death despite their like completely fine win rate are quite worrying from the tournament performance side instead of from podium data where you know this kind of offsets just the win rate. So they may get hit.
We'll see once again is very early and then underperforming faction wise it's basically just Nemesis Claw. Nemesis Claw had a really bad month. So that's actually very interesting to see. Chaos Cult dropped off a bit, but it's not like they uh they just did badly. They just lost a lot of players for some reason. Now, there is this paranoia that players are very worried about the next balance day slate, which is in July. So, people are trying to hop off their factions. Not saying it is happening, you know, but we've seen like just the chaos players just disappear, which is just strange, but overall the meta is in a really good place. It gets a bit more wonky when you go to GT+, you know, the more competitive side of Kill Team when that data you can see there's a lot more variance, but still not too bad. You can see like stealth suits doing a little bit worse. Spectre squad do a bit worse in GT+ as well, you know, but otherwise, you know, you actually have higher attack going becoming more problematic in GT+ than they are overall. But the meta is really close. Like ideally I I actually think we probably would hope for no balance changes and see how it rides out for the full 6 months. But we're also seeing if you're looking at individual scenes and tournaments, we're seeing like the both both Nekron teams are looking a bit problematic still.
Still, but once again the meta is very close. It's it's very up in the air and once again very skill-based which is good. Obviously as I said if you look at the stats they're consistent over perform overp performers. Fail, Wolf Scouts, you know, not nothing to be surprised about there. But Exaction had an amazing month. Exaction doing really well. We've seen Exaction squad go up and down before, so the it'll be interesting to see if they can maintain their power. I was actually expecting Battle Clay to do a lot better. They were seeming to be quite terrifying, but then they just kind of middled out again because I think people realized they're still quite slow even with all their extra movement. And ratlings were going up and down as well. They were doing really well early into the month and then crashed down as more people went back onto them. Although they had the hierarch effect where they got a bit better at GT+. So it'll be one to watch out for. But we also had a really good month for declassified teams like you know Alexa and Australia won the big uh 60 player Australia event with Corsair.
So that's really cool. you know, these it would be really cool to see more declassified events, but it it feels like the scenes don't really want to want run them, which is a shame because as I said, the declassified teams are actually mostly good. It the stats are all over the place because we don't have many declassified events. But otherwise, yeah, this is a really good month and hopefully we maintain it for June and then after June, we'll have a good idea what may happen with the July balance data slate. But remember, thanks goes to Smiles Lies Gunfire. Without him, none of this would be possible. and his stats website will be down in the episode description below. But please remember to like and subscribe as well as comment. Let me know what you thought of today's video if you found it useful and helpful. Remember, I've got a discord you can check out for free in the episode description below. And a feeling Emma games and affiliate discount code at Crossfire Games and a Patreon if you want to give me some more support. And I'm just going to shout my patronons. So for my addups with the crit, I have tip shades, thorim Alexis, Marshall, the Houston Toad, Morphe, Fangzu, Lucas Graham, Tom, Mr. Meatwad, Nick, Supercow, and then for my veterans of the I have Sam and Rolling Zero. So thank you so much for your support. really means a lot to me and helps support the channel. But yes, I am I am so jet-lagged right now. It's insane and I'm back at work tomorrow night. Well, the night the video goes up. But good news is looking pretty good. It's actually pretty fun. I've been playing more Kill Team again. It's it's it does seem really fun again. So, like obviously we we should get some tweaks in July, but hopefully it's just a like tweak. Like crew is actually maybe a problem, but I don't know what they would do to crew.
Crew are kind of an interesting team where they've kind of been had heavy buffs over the course of the past like 18 months, 19 months, 20 months to try and just like make them compete with all these strong teams. And now these strong teams are mostly back at normal levels.
They're one of those factions where I go like describe as being overbuffed to like deal with brokenness, but now are kind of like, oo, maybe we tacked on too many rules onto them. But we'll see. As I said, it's still very flux, and it'll be interesting to see what happens in June. But remember, no matter what the stats say, you always have a chance to win as long as you can roll a credit.
