FINALLY...|Somers In AlaskaAdded:
as a very good helper. You are >> when the sage brings the spring.
>> Mole and the sparrow sing through the light that the sun will bring.
Reborns are creeping on a call.
And the last frost will fall reborn.
>> Hi peoples. Hope you guys are doing fantastic. Wow, look at us picking up the vlogging the vlogging camera. Hold on. I got to put on my rings here.
Anybody else feel naked or like you're missing something?
You're like missing something when you don't have your rings on?
That's me. Just going to take you throughout our day. We have a graduation that we have coming tonight. I want to show you what I made. This is actually This is the fifth one of these that I've made. Boom. Little pizza box.
Made these.
And you open up. The best part of the pizza is the dough. And then it's I just rearranged those to be like a little pizza. Isn't that so stinking cute?
We've had so many graduations. As you can see, we have all the invites that are up here cuz I was like, I'm going to forget. But we've had so many and I was like that is such a stinking cool fun little uh gift that I put together and it's super easy. I got the boxes off Amazon. Okay. Anyway, I wanted to give you guys all the updates, all the things what we got going on today. My house is a mess. No, my house could be a lot worse. Don't you hate it when people say that? Like, oh my gosh, it's so messy and it's like not very much. And you're like, wow. So, what does my what does that mean for my house? It is. It's just not put away. It's lived in. It's lived in. Do we still have snow?
Technically, yes, we do. Yeah. What is today? The 20th of May. Mhm. Yeah, we technically do. But I wanted to give you guys an update kind of like what I'm going to be doing outside, but I also am working on sneak peek. Okay, there it is. Sneak peek of Alaskan Apparel, guys.
I'm so excited. Alaskan Apparel stuff.
It's been in the works. I just don't like to bombard you guys with it because, you know, I want to make sure it's ready. I want to make sure it's good and all the things, but I've been working really hard on our next launch.
Wow, we're turning and burning. This is This is where we're at. We are actually just starting to turn green, so that's encouraging. Bring out our lawn chairs to try to help motivate said summertime.
My garden.
Here she is. Very dead.
Very, very dead. But there's no snow on it. We dumped our ashes in there. It should be pretty good. I've got some ideas to combat. If you guys remember last season, I was battling chickweed.
If you ever dealt with jig weed, I'm so sorry cuz it's not great. Um, but I have some ideas. I've got some fun plans, intentionality with my garden this season. And my mother-in-law, thank you, mom. She actually bought a roatiller and she said that we can use it so we don't have to go rent one, which is so exciting. I'm so excited for that. So, we're going to go pick that up at some point. Generally, we have our garden in by June 1st. Anytime before that, you're kind of risking ruling it. Okay, that's what that's what we got coming down the pike for the e old garden. I'm so excited to be outside and working. We just had our green up where you can see they are green and our allergies are out of control. Poor Evelyn, she is my kid that struggles with seasonal allergies.
She's not doing great. Not doing great.
Update on car. So, we got the car, right? Um, we had it professionally cleaned. They did a really good job. I can't tell what I smell. I can't tell if I smell the diesel or the chemicals that they use to maybe knock down the odor. I don't really know. Let's air her out.
Actually, let's just keep her open for a little bit and just kind of But it looks it looks like a brand new car. We got the windshield replaced.
Look at that. Was that cheap? No. No, it was not. Way more expensive than we thought it was going to be, but you live and you learn. Wow, I am really just Oh, see what is happening. Okay, another thing we get remember how we just get super busy during the summer. Like we're just like all all the different things, all the different projects. We have a really small window. We have to we have to utilize it as much as we possibly can. I have started running again, which I'm super excited. Garrett's been coming out with me and being my little bodyguard. Um, and we we run, which is super fun. Green. This is a little bit more green up in the front yard.
Remember the fort that we built last that Bert and the kiddos built last summer? Protected from the animals being able to get into it as well as we thought. So, the animals got in there like squirrels, maybe shrews, uh, and ripped it to shreds. So, uh, Garrett and his cousin actually went and cleaned out the whole fort, pulled everything out that was messed up, bagged it all up, but we're going to have to start working on that. Um, in the previous vlog, I think it was the previous vlog, I mentioned that our home is not painted.
Let's see. I'll give you two different options to choose from. Tell me which one you like. I'm excited if I could get it to look like that. It even gives me the components like what color it needs to be and the color breakdown it needs to be. How stinking cool. I think there's good things. I'll give you like my little side tangent. I think there's good things and bad things about AI.
There's some really cool tools that you can use with it, but I also think it can be really abused and how it's like manufactured or like how they do it is a little questionable to me cuz it's like what are we sacrificing to be able to gain AI? Be honest, I'm not super like educated on it. Probably maybe need to, especially with as quickly as this advancing. Guys, have you seen the robots? Have you seen the robots they're going to be putting in people's like that can come into people's houses? Me and my sister-in-law were talking about that the other day and I was like, "What is happening?" Because they're like full. They're like grown. They're like big robots. Would you ever have one of those in your house?
That scares me. Like I was sus about the robot vacuum, let alone something with arms and can learn routines and stuff.
Anyway, oh, we got a trampoline. We found a trampoline at Walmart. ours.
I've never purchased a brand new trampoline. I've always found them at yard sales. Generally, I think the most I ever paid for one was $25. It never had a net and it did normally come with holes, but it just added to character.
My babe found it and Livy loves the trampoline and I was like, we need to get her something so she can go play outside. That and of course the swing set. Also going to go get her a bike cuz she's the only one that doesn't really have a good bike. She grew out of her last one, so we have to still go get her that. Anyway, I hope you guys are doing fantastic. Let me know your summer plans, all the things. Bird has a job in town.
Can you believe it? I am stoked. He actually gets to go to work and then come home. I'm excited. Uh so yeah, let me send you to him. He might fill you in on what he's doing, where he's at, all the things. Enjoying your summer cuz I think even old Alaska has finally joined the club of summertime. Let me send you to Bert. Seeing how he's doing >> real good.
When the wind blows and the windows are closing, you let the world know what it's been has been.
There's no use in looking back, going back, wishing that >> actually work in town today. Like, what what's even going on here? Used to bringing you guys to remote areas of Alaska and having to fly in on small planes and fix things. And I'm actually in town. I get to sleep in my own bed and go see the family overnight, which is awesome. It's amazing. Just a little hanger project here uh that we need to be able to get done. So, anyway, good times. I was able to take my wife out finally on a date and I need to get better at that. Just trying to get time for each other, you know, family, kids, business, life. Uh just, you know, trying to keep the main thing the main thing and just having some great conversations with her and a family and meaning and what matters and what do we need to do for each other, for our kids, trying to make the wisest decisions and make the most out of life. And actually, you guys came up and just talking about like, okay, even even making videos on YouTube, you know, is this you start questioning is it okay to make videos?
like what's the purpose? Like what are we trying to do? We started thinking like you guys have been with us for so long. We there's a lot of you guys have really been with us for a lot ups and downs and just some very serious stuff that's happened and some miracles. You guys are still here.
Blows us away. I get goosebumps every time I talk about this kind of stuff. So I think we should keep making videos. I really do. I mean as long as you I mean there's there's channels that have started. YouTube channels have started after we started grew much larger and have quit. and we're still here and you guys are still here and you encourage us in so many ways. And that's I was telling my wife, I think we should just keep making videos and we'll have God kind of figure out whatever else we're supposed to do as we go. But as we share life and a lot of you guys have even said, you know, you came to our channel at first because you wanted to learn about Alaska. You clicked on like an Alaska video. A lot of you guys stayed because you felt uh uh like part of our family. It's absolutely awesome. So for now, we're going to keep things rolling and we appreciate each and every one of you. And with that, we're going to roll out for the day. I don't know what else we have going on today. I'm going to finish work here except I need to go get the chiropractor appointment. I'm in pretty good shape to be fair. Like I work out pretty solid, pretty regular.
It's just something about working out in the field where you're like climbing ladders and you're twisting weird.
Anyway, my lower back is thrown out. So, I'm going to get that knocked out or knocked in. It's already out. Back fixed, right? Get the lower back fixed.
We're going to bring you with us. It's going to be awesome. Let's roll.
The gentle April rain that stained the window pains last night is all but gone but lingers on set clouds of air.
We watch the town awaken to the trembling morning light.
You're so near and spring is everywhere.
We danced until the stars came out and spread across the sky.
We small hours of morning all went by and day is here.
We won't give up. Our dancing and across the floor we fly when you are near. Spring is in the air.
I hold you so close. I think you must hear my heart.
you doing?
>> Anything going on the legs? Numbness, pain, anything like that?
>> Uh, not in the legs? No. But any other tuneups you want to do is always much appreciated.
>> Doing okay as I press into that right side.
>> I definitely feel a little bit of pressure there.
>> Okay. How about midline?
>> Yeah, a little bit there.
>> Okay. And then left side.
>> Yeah, a little bit there, too.
>> Is it one of the three? Like >> it all kind of feels about the same to be honest. Place up. We'll check your neck first.
There we go.
>> There we go.
>> That was beautiful. Wow.
>> Hip and the SI joint.
>> Yeah, that'll be way better.
>> That all it was, you think? Huh?
>> Yeah. There's a little bit we'll still do in the low back, but usually if you can unlock the hip, the SI joint will follow right behind it. Do a quick test run on that compression. Okay.
>> Mhm.
>> Breath in and out.
>> There we go.
Wow. Beautiful. Left side down on the table and up.
Other side. Yeah, my back's tight. Up here.
Breath in and out.
And out.
>> You're all set, my friend.
>> You are amazing. Thank you so much.
>> No problem. Have a good weekend.
>> All right. You, too.
>> Yeah. Take it easy.
>> Appreciate you.
>> No problem. Just like that, I can bend down. Yes.
>> Out for a stroll.
>> What? Second date in a row. Is what?
What's happening?
>> I was going to hold your hand.
>> Oh my god.
>> Second date. Oh, yeah. He had to go get chiropractor today.
>> I actually brought them with >> Oh, you saw it? He's elderly.
>> I'm not elderly.
>> Jesus. Yeah, he is. Guys, fun fact.
Okay, here's a fun fact that I just found out because I've been going to 51 million graduations. Just got back from one. We went to so many that I was like, man, how old am I going to be when I when I finish up?
>> When I rally up, I'm going to be 57 years old.
>> He's going to be 61.
61 years old. And we're going to be walking across the stage handing that diploma. Everything's fine. Everything's fine.
>> Everything's fine. But I mean, you know, we wouldn't have it any other way, but good gosh. Are they going to be like, "Oh, there's grandma and grandpa."
>> I know.
>> We're going to be one of those.
>> My hair will still be dyed. Speaking of, please don't look closely. But we're going to need to >> You look beautiful. I talking about >> We're going to need to fix that right there.
>> Fix what? That's That is blonde.
>> The blonde highlights coming in.
>> It's from the snow. The bounce that used to be here. We're going to go on a little walk cuz we have done a research because we're getting old.
And it helps with your blood. It helps with your blood sugar after meals, right?
>> You go and you go for a little jaunt.
>> What did you do today, by the way? I didn't like I worked.
>> I conquered the world. Okay. That's what I did.
>> That's what you did?
>> No, not really. I just did some cleaning and I worked on all things Alaskan Apparel.
>> Uhhuh.
>> I did some editing cuz I'm trying to be better about doing like shorts and stuff.
>> Shorts. Actually, a lot of people like those shorts.
>> Yeah. Do you like those shorts, guys?
I'm not sure. Trying my best. I just filled them in on all the things. I think I had a lot of caffeine. So, it's kind of >> If we picked up the camera more often, we wouldn't have to always feel like like, guys, we have to get you caught up. Caught up.
>> We're going to get better. We're going to try. We have some fun exciting things that we're going to be doing this summer. See, we're excited about all the things.
>> And we've got some updates coming. So, >> what's our updates?
>> All the things.
>> What are we updating?
>> You'll have to wait for the next video.
>> I'm sorry. Am I Is it my life? Am I privy to these? You never know.
>> Okay. All right. We're going to go walk.
Hope you guys have a fantastic rest of the day, night, whatever it may be.
We'll see you guys in the next one.
>> Bye.
>> Cheek to cheek and floating in midair.
When you are near, spring is everywhere.
