Blammo’s critique exposes the stagnation of a scene that prioritizes social posturing over genuine artistic risk. It is a necessary audit of a culture where "authenticity" has become a defensive mask rather than a creative engine.

“Everyone’s Scared”Toronto’s Blamo Calls Out The City 🇨🇦Added:
Dude, we had a show in DC. Brown people pulled up 20 Jeeps telling us we got to check in.
These are Indians, right? Punjabi people. They're talking about checking in. But, I'm standing there. I'm not even shocked about the gangster [ __ ] cuz cool, whatever. I'm more shocked about these are brown guys trying to check us.
I'm like, "What the fuck?"
We got Blammo in the [ __ ] building today. Drake put a ice sculpture downtown. [ __ ] Right? Why am I the only rapper from the city to stand right in front of that and shoot a freestyle called Ice Blammo freestyle?
Why am I the only one there?
>> one there. But, it was crazy for me cuz when I got down there, I saw the streamers. You see what I'm saying?
[ __ ] I want to kick their ass.
>> All I heard was, "W chat. Ice W chat.
Chat. Hey, chat. Chat. Chat. Chat.
Chat." How many chat?
>> Oh my god.
>> a thousand of them out there.
You I I When I first saw you, you you were you were um dipping into the brown brown thing.
Yeah. Not even dipping in. Like, that's pretty much our [ __ ] Yeah. Like >> That's a stimulus package. People don't know. Yeah. No matter if It doesn't matter if you It's Sweetz It doesn't matter if it's Tory Lanez. It doesn't matter. Whoever you see and do some type of hip-hop or other than Jay-Z and Punjabi MCs and stuff like that.
But, once I started doing it, that's what I was looking at. I was looking at Punjabi MC and Jay-Z how they did uh Beware of the Boys, I think it's called.
>> Yeah. Yeah. And I'm like where I'm from it's damn near 50% brown, 50% black. Why am I not tapping into this and it goes back to me saying like we can't just keep doing the same thing.
Mhm. You know? But, I'm not going to lie. When I first did it, the madam looked at me like, "What the hell are you doing?" But, you had a plan. Yeah.
I'm like, "This is like 2014 we're working on this."
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's cool. You know what I'm saying?
2014 >> 2014 we're divving and diving trying to figure it out. And then, we finally figured it out. Sidhu Moose Wala went probably the biggest artist in the world. You know what I'm saying? Signed to signed to our label. He signed to your your guys' label?
>> For sure. We brought him to Toronto.
We made him shoot We had him shoot a video in lane. That's crazy. We went We went on tour with him 2018. So, when somebody says like yo, these guys are are are like um What's the word for it? Uh per- Yeah. Like um uh What's What's the word? I don't want to say Should I say like um emulating the the culture? Like the culture um What's it called? Per- I don't even know the word either. I get the word >> want to say it. Perpetuating the negative stereotypes.
>> Yeah.
I mean, the way I see it, people get busy everywhere. Yeah, yeah.
You know, like I went to We had a show in DC.
Brown people pulled up.
20 Jeeps telling us we got to check in.
Oh. And these are These are brown These are brown >> Punjabi people. They got to check in like >> Talking about checking in. So >> Cuz you were on tour with uh Yeah. with Mooji? Yeah. And he's showing He has that image.
>> The full Punjabi look.
>> bet. You're that guy, but we're the We're the those guys here. It makes Yeah, it makes sense. One ear guys has to Exactly, right? But I'm standing there I'm not even shocked about the gangster [ __ ] cuz cool, whatever. I'm more shocked about These are brown guys trying to check up.
I'm like, what the [ __ ] I'm not I didn't even know there's brown people in DC. Like I was ignorant to it, right?
>> as hell. You know, so it's like >> everywhere legit.
>> Yeah.
>> that was just an LA thing like when they say they got >> LA, they're Yeah, they really they really get it popping over there, but not definitely the DC um The Virginias. Virginia, Philly, the whole DMV area, the tri-state area.
Same [ __ ] So, I feel like even if they weren't really into it like as far as our culture, the gangster [ __ ] that they're already into kind of just merged it together, and they just they just went with it, you know? So, teach his own. I can't really You know?
Be mad at it. I can't be not I can't knock it, you know? Shout out to them.
But that's a That was a smart pivot um on your behalf.
Um Was it Was it calculated where you like, "Yo, this shit's like yo, I got it I got to tap in."
Yeah, for sure.
>> I mean like I know that you're you're like in Brampton it was it's full of >> No, I'm from I'm from Malton. Malton, I apologize. You're from Malton and it's like 80% of them Indian almost?
>> Yeah, now it's getting now it's getting like that. Before me growing up it was probably like 50/50, 60/40 like, you know? And it was a lot of war too like we didn't get along at all.
>> You never got along I mean you got along eventually. Yeah, eventually for sure like, you know what I'm saying? But um where were you when you got the news?
Oh man, I was at the crib and 4:00 or 5:00 in the morning for us is like 12:00 in the afternoon over there something like that.
And it's just a whole bunch of fans just sending me videos of him slumped in his car all types of [ __ ] So I was like you know I seen the group chat going crazy.
I looked and there was definitely a fallout. There was a disconnect with him and the man them right before everything happened, you know me and him kept in contact cuz I was trying to squash everything, but um yeah, and I was crazy bro. It was like That's scary.
>> years and everything and the man just, you know, and it's it's it's sad. Sad.
That's scary, man. But you you really got to think about this like bro, he's getting 30,000 a show.
Yeah, that's actually He's doing 30 dates. Mhm. He's doing Canada, US, UK. Mhm. You're going to take all that money and go back home, build a mansion.
>> A mansion. People are going to look at you different. You know the wolves that and you already know back home for any of us is crazy. Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad, wherever you're from, India, it's going to be crazy.
>> Yeah, cuz it kind of looks like you're flexing, you know? You go back there all that bread it's like yo. Yeah, so it's good you know, so it's unfortunate that it happened, but you know everything happens for a reason. So you know, RIP to him.
You know, shout to his family and everything and you know, we got to keep it pushing, you know how it goes.
Yo, I just also want to introduce my my other co-host. I got Caddy in the building.
Um and also got Blastoff in the building.
Um what you been up to, Caddy?
Uh you know, I've been working on a lot of music.
>> Tell me about it, man.
Um right now I'm uh I'm trying to lock in with Goldie London. Mhm.
She's working on something right now?
Yeah, she's trying to work on an album.
Uh we're trying to like get her sound crisp, you know, trying to have her her drum sounding crisp and stuff. Shoutout to Goldie. Dial in.
Yeah, um so far I'm still obviously I work with Double M. That's you know, she's like my main She's working working right now.
>> Yeah, she's working like really trying to get something popping with her for sure. Mhm.
No. Yeah, I would I just been focusing on I've been focusing on actually trying to work with more female artists in the city. I feel like they're not really heard in that sense.
Yeah, yeah.
Uh the male rappers like they kind of take over everything and I would actually argue that the female rappers are killing it more than the dudes.
>> right now they are, but I feel like in the there was a time when they were just like people never really took them serious. Mhm. It's like I have all these beats it's like I might as well give them like a opportunity to like showcase their talent, you know? Yeah, yeah.
Yo, definitely you guys should connect after this. Oh, for sure. Yeah, we were talking before behind the scenes.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, we'll figure something out for sure for sure. I never pulled out the the uh the the Dracula vodka. Got [laughter] to have something. We got to have something.
You know, when a man of Lincoln asked to be some type of cheers. This is all this is our moment. That's why you know, you got to understand. So it's like I'm I'm semi-idle. I don't you know, I'm like drinking this [ __ ] but there's zero sugar in here by the way.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I said not even sugar is going to rate now. Yeah, there's no sugar right here. There's zero sugar. I don't [ __ ] >> though. You know what I mean? Yeah, that how you live, fam? That's good. I wish I could do that [ __ ] I ain't seen that before. That bottle is crazy.
>> Yeah, man. That's the [ __ ] that Dracula has in his lair, bro. It looks >> [laughter] >> It looks bedazzled still. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Actually it would fit your aesthetic since you go the Batman aesthetic. Yeah, yeah, I'm saying, you know.
>> Is that a thing? Like, do you consciously choose that?
Nah, it just looks sick. I ain't going to It just looks sick. It just looks sick, so I picked it up. Special time, you know, we're on the podcast, I said, "Fuck it." No doubt.
>> Go with something a little different, but it's always 1800 for the most part.
You've been You've been working on the behind the scenes with the the Battle League.
Are you creating a Battle League in the middle of >> mad at you at one point, man. It's all good. I was mad. Don't worry, we're good. Don't worry, we're good.
Hold on, I want to I can't I can't Should we Should we do a sketch for people to like like, you know, should we do a sketch real quick? Like, how you mean? Like, you like you just talk [ __ ] to me. Like, you like you just We don't know how to do that.
>> [laughter] >> It could go viral. It could. Okay, and like, you know, I can I can edit it and make it look like I can make it look like Go ahead.
So, pretty much So, pretty much while I was doing I did bring your bars. I think it was 2023, 2022. Mhm. One of those years, you know what I'm saying? I think it was 23, 24, or 24.
Three or four No, yeah, one of them. 23, 24, whatever, you know what I'm saying?
Um, to my knowledge, no one said anything differently to me. That was the biggest hip-hop event put on in Toronto that year. Mhm. $8,000 grand prize. Out of your own pocket, too?
4,000 was out of mine. That's how it started, right?
Then, um, me and my business partner partner Pinky, we were going live every single day trying to build the anticipation for it. Shout out to Hancho Hoodlum. He jumped in the live, he said, "I'll put up a stack."
So, we got the five >> He put up a stack, too? Yeah.
He said, "Yo, we need He said, "Yo, we need it for the city.
I'mma put up a stack." Let's go. Right?
25th Dynasty, one of the biggest brands in in Toronto as far as grinders, shakers, weed paraphernalia, all types of [ __ ] He jumped in there. He said he's going to put in a stack. Jeez. You know what I'm saying? So, where we at now? We at like six. Mhm. Right?
And then uh Mr. Shout out to Mr. 365, you know, he manages Presser. He was Yeah, he jumped in there. He jumped in there and he put up a stack. So, I'm 30.
You know what I'm saying?
>> of people putting their money where their mouth is, man. We need more of that.
>> So, then we at then we at seven bands and then me and Pinky put up another stack. So, now we at eight bands.
>> Nice. Nice. You know, so open for all the rappers in the city, all the spitters. It's open It's open for anybody in the city cuz me, personally, if you guys told me there's a curling tournament outside, no buying >> I'm hosting that you feel me? Curling.
Like this with the curling. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
If you guys told me there's a curling event >> by the way, yo. Yo. eight bands and there's no buying. You're going in. I'm there.
Bro, I would follow my eyes.
>> [ __ ] If you lose If you lose, you lose. Who won it? Who winning it? Who won it?
>> Uh homie named Young Stitch. The white dude? Yeah, white dude. He's a freestyle He's a BET Freestyle Friday champion.
Mhm. Um or from like back in the day?
Like or No, actually like recently.
That's the like previous >> [laughter] >> I guess they had a um They had a thing where it's like before the hip hop of um hip hop awards >> Yeah. or the BET awards, they had like a little tournament in the front where they would do the red carpet and stuff.
And he cleaned up. I think he won it twice.
That was crazy.
>> so his story's kind of sick because it's like he wanted to be in the event and he had court coming up. Mhm. So, we did a media day. We did a photo shoot day for everybody. We did all these type of things and he didn't pull up to those things cuz he's like, "Yo, bro, I want to be involved, but I think I'm going in."
You know?
Judge said house arrest.
He said, "I'm there." Yeah. Oh, yeah, he's risking life.
>> And won the eight bands. You know, so that's like a real Cinderella story. I love that type of [ __ ] Did he Did he get like Like was he arrested again?
I don't know what happened to him. He He got off safe, right? Hopefully. No. Oh, no, no, no. You talking about for that.
No, he he beat his case. After house arrest he went to court, he beat his case, but then he went on a hiatus for the from then till now. And he just popped back up now trying to get into like the league that I'm building and stuff like that. But shout out to him, he definitely went there, cleaned up.
You know what I'm saying? Like that was a that was a learning thing. I learned two things from that event. Three things. One, it's hard as [ __ ] to put on an event like that.
You know what I'm saying? Yeah.
And it's annoying to [ __ ] plan all that [ __ ] >> Yeah, 100%.
>> people to show up, too. And yeah, and yeah, and and you know people show up at like 10. And not even [ __ ] what I learned.
Let's say from the mailing email list that we have, we had about close to 300 people in the building. We had damn near every hood in the building. You know what I'm saying?
We had security in the building and we had extra security in the building.
You understand me?
But nothing went wrong. Nah, that's tough.
That's tough. That's not easy to do.
But hold on, is that Do you think Do you think that's like like a like a stereotype that like like it shouldn't should go wrong? I mean I don't think it's a I think the city is just so especially at that time, bro.
The city was so wild that me even >> pretty hot. Besides me talking to everybody, I'm praying every day.
I'm praying the whole week leading up to the to the to the >> Yo, cuz someone could just look at someone the wrong way. For sure.
It's Toronto, bro. It's Toronto.
>> [laughter] >> You know, it could have went it could have went terrible. So other than me talking to all the man them and even talking to the artist and their entourage, I'm like, "Listen, so-and-so from here, I know you're from here and I know so-and-so from here is going to be there as well. What are you doing this for?
You want to build your career? Do you want to make this money? Do you want to win this money? Yeah? So, if that's the case, everybody be on in there, be on defense."
Should be on point, my [ __ ] You know what I'm saying? Everyone's on defense, meaning you're willing to do whatever you have to do, but if nobody does anything to nobody, we're going to have a blessed night, and that's exactly what happened.
So, I was proud of the city. Some beautiful thing. I was proud of the city. Then, unfortunately, why all these rappers we know, why didn't they want to be in it involved?
Like the the well-known ones, like the household names. Like like like a like a Prezza?
Nah, I mean Prezza does his thing. Shout out to Prezza, but I wouldn't see Prezza jumping in in a freestyle battle with anybody. I don't think that's really his. He's not That's not his lane, you know?
>> That's not his lane, like you know what I'm saying?
>> a lot of bacon out of records.
>> Yeah, that's what he does, but fam, we have so many dope spitters in the city.
Any dope spitter in the city you can think of, we reached out to.
They either felt they were bigger than Oh, bigger than the program type bigger than the program and they ate grand, or they just, you know, left it on read. But we know why. But You know what I'm saying? We know why. But wouldn't it just be for like freestylers? Or would you want MCs to pull up? See, that's what See, yeah, that's what To battle.
Yeah. I feel like [clears throat] some people like, "Yo, it takes a certain type of confidence to >> 100% >> be and and and some guys don't they're so focused in the booth and rapping making records that when they got [snorts] to battle somebody, it's like they don't have the same confidence For sure, cuz remember it's the it's the the fans that are pointing me in the direction of who I should message and stuff like that. So, I'm [clears throat] hitting people up saying, "Yo, your fan base or one of your supporters hit me, made me privy to what you got going on.
I checked out some videos you're freestyling for the gram and blah blah Yo, what's popping?" Nah, man, I Man, y'all don't do that no more cuz the I'm like, "Nigga, What do you mean you don't do that no more?
>> If you don't know a lot of a lot of artists a lot of artists, especially over here, are are studio artists and they're mostly an image thing. For sure.
A lot of bread is not for Like yo, someone's giving you eight bands to rap. Like that can change your career. You can get like a decent video like a >> You could do a lot with You could do a lot with that.
You know what I mean? Like You know what I'm saying? So, that's how it goes, but you know, we're figuring out. It got to the point where I'm like, I'm going to jump in the ring. [ __ ] it. I got to put on for the city.
Oh, is that what you're That's what you're doing right now? Yeah.
So, if you go on my gram right now, I think it's been a couple weeks.
It says Blammo versus {question mark} {question mark} {question mark}.
>> in mind?
I mean, everyone's scared.
Everyone's scared. Facts.
Everyone's like everyone.
I'm just trying to I'm just trying to picture like who would who would who would uh I wish you could who would be like figure it out so I could tell you that they're scared. Who would be cool like to participate in a battle with you?
Yeah. But who are you trying to kind of do it like how like Smack? Yeah, that's that's my that's my whole Like you know, shout out to King of the Dot. Those are the big bros, you know what I mean? Bro, you didn't even hear the name yet. It's called Bring Your Bars. I think Daniel Son will be cool.
You know Daniel Son? Daniel Son, I never heard of him. I'll show you I'll show you who he is. Yeah, he moved he moved out of the city. He's in like another province now.
>> Oh, for real? Yeah. Oh, no wonder he's taking forever to respond. Yeah.
But there's a lot of people going to Alberta, bro. Yeah, Toronto Toronto's out of here, bro. Toronto's out of here.
We're done with this. Yeah, shout out to King of the Dot. You know, they definitely tapped in. We're definitely doing some business over there.
And shout out to URL, too. I got to chop it up with Smack and I got to chop it up with a bunch of battlers over there. So, don't be surprised if I just bring it like those are the homies now.
So, don't be surprised if I You got an Arsenal? Bring them Yeah, shout out to Arsenal.
>> clips on the clips. I went to the um I went to the Arsenal and Pat Stay battle years >> years Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. like years ago. This might have been like 2000 and I don't know like 10 Yeah. Like years ago. I remember playing Guns is out here and he had a show and I locked in with him and um we're at a we're at a hotel and Arsenal was in the same Yeah.
>> same hotel >> Yeah. and then me and Corey's cousin Jim, we went to uh to that battle. He's like, "Yo, pull up. I'm be at the Yeah.
>> we went to go watch that battle and it was fire, bro. Yeah, it's funny you say that cuz even the the Pat Stay memorial um battle that they did they did a memorial where Eminem sent in a video to say RIP.
>> All the Smack had to come down. That's when I really met those guys and I looked around and I'm like, "Nah, I got to do something like this." Nah, I rate that. For sure.
That was um I want to say that was Was it 20 It was probably right after COVID.
>> Yeah. Oh, right after COVID in 2021.
>> Yeah, 2022.
>> 2022 Yeah, he passed away in 2022. Yeah, he passed in 2022, right?
>> Yeah. So, let let's say it was like February 2022, some [ __ ] like that. But >> but let the viewers know like what else about the story.
What What do you mean?
>> about Like you had a misunderstanding that you and I had about it.
Damn, I think I think that was pretty much it unless you know I don't know really. From from Okay, I think I think we had a little misunderstanding. Um you were kind of not impressed by me not supporting your >> Oh, yeah, we didn't even get to that part. My bad. Oh [laughter] my god.
Yeah, so I was like I was like, "What's going on? Like we need this for the city. Like, it's not even me saying, "Yo, play this new record or play this or blah blah." At the end of the event, if you don't count what I made off the bar and the ticket sales, cuz we did good.
But, if you don't count that stuff, I'm walking into that event in the red.
So, leading up to that event, I'm in the red. And I might not make nothing back, and I'm okay with that.
>> Yeah, yeah. So, this isn't for no This isn't This Exactly, this is not for personal gain. This is for the culture.
Like, Friday got it, too. Mhm. Mhm. Mhm.
Friday got it.
Oh my god.
I'm not your Friday, yo. What's going on? Blah blah. Then, his co-host was like, "Send me a voice note." Worst thing he could have did. Yo. Yo, we going to talk about it on the show, this and that, this that. I'm like, "All right, bet." Boom.
I still don't get nothing. I'm not on the show. Hoodlum's on the show.
Hoodlum's like, "Yo, pull up to the show."
Yeah.
>> Play the voice note. What's going on?
But, shout out to Friday. Friday said he'll be involved involved in the next one.
>> That's good. We love that. We love that.
>> We got it recorded and everything.
Friday can't get out cuz I know where the studio is now. So, Friday got to be involved. I'm going to [clears throat] be I'm going to be I'm going to I'm going to I'm going to I'm going to be honest with you. Um I I always supported your music. I always I always I always shared your music.
>> 100%.
>> I It's to a point that my other co-host, Glory, was like, "Yo, why are you sharing this [ __ ] all the time?"
>> Yeah, that's why I wanted What's his name? Glory?
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah.
>> I wanted Glory to be here cuz I wanted I wanted to have a conversation with Glory.
>> Glory Glory is dealing with the domestic stuff. He has a He has a kids and [ __ ] like that. He's busy. Busy. You know what I mean? Or the You know, when I say domestic stuff, I mean like with the with the with the with the family, you know?
You know, he's not beating up women.
Clear that up. No, no. Like, when I say domestic, I mean like I mean like couples couples stuff couples stuff, you know?
You got to clear that up, for sure.
>> Yes, he has a family and Dealing with family business. It's a family business.
He lives He lives so far away.
>> Word it out properly. Yeah. I apologize.
Yeah. He's dealing with family stuff, you know? And um yeah, no. So, um yeah, so so he would he would he would he would say, "Yo, you why you why you posting this [ __ ] so much?"
But I But I always I always I always I always liked your your Every time he said that to you, tell him it's cuz I'm better than the people he posts.
>> [laughter] >> That's all you got to say.
It'll work out perfectly.
And if he feels like I'm not, tell them to try me.
>> No, no, no, no, it was it's not that it's not that it's not that. He wasn't He wasn't hating He wasn't hating. He was It's more like It's more like It's more like um a playful like, you know, stop sucking this [ __ ] or something. You know what I mean?
>> of this is playful, bro. All of this is playful at the end of the day. Um I do I do understand your sentiment cuz I cuz when cuz when um you know, with my podcast, I feel like a lot more people could share it. They they're constantly looking, but they're not sharing, like, you know? [clears throat] So I So So I do understand where you're coming from.
Um you know, when you do When you do something like When you When you do the next battle, then I'm there. I'm going to document it and [ __ ] Hey, we got it.
We're going to We're going to document it.
>> I'm I'm going to have a couple bodyguards with me, but you know, cuz a [ __ ] cuz a [ __ ] like you would got to have bodyguards.
>> No, you're good. Listen, one thing about me, anywhere you go with me, you are safe. You are safe, secure. I'll never bring somebody somewhere and some never.
You get the introduction like, "Yo, this is treat him the way you treat me." No doubt. No doubt. That's it. Especially if you're there with like a media pass or even if you just want to chill.
Definitely with a media pass. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? So it's like if we're doing it like that, no, for sure.
Anybody around me knows how you know, how things should be structured, you know? Um how old are you? If you don't mind me asking. I'm 36.
>> You're 36. Yeah, you you give me that you give me that vibe because when The reason why I asked you that because it's because you you give me um young I'm sorry.
OG young OG vibe. Yeah, I've been getting Yeah, I've been getting that.
the young OG vibe. Yeah. Um you like and you're also um business savvy. For sure.
You're you're very business savvy. You probably made a probably made some money off of this. Hip-hop.
Yeah, all the Yeah, the the money's definitely there from um from music, for sure.
>> And a lot lot of people could say that.
>> Yeah. You You I mean? And like I'm not even the biggest that's why that's why like I see so many different things.
It's like I'm not even one of the biggest artists.
I'm not even a household name like that.
>> making your bread. The bread is there.
That's why I rate people like Friyie.
I rate people that, you know, like can go and jump into this bag and jump into that bag. It don't matter if the blogs are posting you. It really does not matter, bro.
Got to work where it speaks for itself, for sure. You see what I'm saying? Like if you're doing what you're supposed to do and you figure out where you fit in, they're going to have to. Yeah. You see what I'm saying? So that's why I don't like speaking of the Bring Your Barz [ __ ] with with me and him.
You didn't see me jump online, "Fuck this guy and [ __ ] Friyie and [ __ ] this and blah blah." No, for sure like everybody has their reasons why they do what they do.
You see what I'm saying? The way you're going to know if you're doing what you're supposed to do is when people like, "All right, bet. Now I have to have this on my channel. I have to have this over here. Boom boom." You see what I'm saying? I think differently. I don't think like these guys, right? Drake put a a ice sculpture downtown. Fox, yeah.
Right?
>> Yeah. Why am I the only rapper from the city to stand right in front of that and shoot a freestyle and call it Ice Blend Freestyle?
When it's melting and they call it the That's why I said I call it the Meltdown Freestyle.
>> That's what I was saying. Your business acumen. That's a [ __ ] business acumen. That is sick as well. Why am I the only one there? But it was crazy for me cuz when I got down there, I saw the streamers. You see what I'm saying?
[ __ ] I want to get a million. All I heard was W chat ice W chat chat A chat chat chat chat. Chat chat Oh my god.
like a thousand of them out there. Bro, I seen a man pull out his laptop and start cooking up. I was like, "Shit, I should have did that shit."

>> and Harley >> Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Like Fam, it's one of those like >> When it's like a situation like that, you got to do you got to do You would have to do some [ __ ] like that. You know what I'm saying? Like it's like cool, Drake has his thing going on, whatever.
Like Drake is the biggest artist in the world, but whatever. I need my little I need my piece off of this.
>> too. People are watching.
>> are see people are seeing, people are watching, but like that's my whole thing. Why am I the only one thinking like that? Like I'm literally racing out my crib 1:00 in the morning, call the camera man. That's right.
>> That's right. You know what I'm saying?
I'm like, "Yo, yo, we got to do this right now. Oh, boom, boom." I get down there. I'm thinking I'm going to see couple rappers down there or something, blah, blah, but >> there, just streamers. Nobody Just the streamers, cuz they're really on their [ __ ] but like >> Yeah, yeah. I don't know. It's almost like it's like changing or dying out in the city, and I don't really like that, so I said, [snorts] "Fuck it."
>> were prepared to really go down for that.

>> there with it, you know? No, no, no, you're on you're on timing. And then it's pretty [ __ ] easy. It's one angle One angle video? Quick. Like how how hard could it be?
>> Super quick.
>> to be on timing with Some some Sometimes it's like people feel like they got to get permission to do [ __ ] Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I'm saying?
>> For sure. And while we're on the topic of Drake what did he say? He said he said uh he rather ask forgiveness than permission.
>> And permission, yeah, facts.
>> what I'm saying? So For sure.
>> It's like I mean, obviously depends on the type of Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But yeah, like you know, sometimes people feel like they're too cool to try or put in effort. Like remember back in the day, it should still be a thing but [ __ ] would hear a track, the track would go go crazy. Everyone >> [ __ ] would hop on that and freestyle on those.
>> Everyone >> like a remix. Mhm. So in [clears throat] in a way what you did was like you took that same formula and you're like, "Yo, we're going to do this in the world though.
I'm going to actually use this sculpture that this guy left Yeah. And do my twist with it. So, it's like a remix times a remix.
>> Yeah.
>> Cuz you remix You know what I mean?
>> Yeah. Yeah. You did your thing with it.
You know what I mean?
>> You know what I'm saying? That's And that's the type of [ __ ] that that will put people ahead or it'll show people what type of time they're on when it comes to how they think or Yeah, that's that's how that's how it goes cuz You know what I'm saying? Like I'm really like when it comes to the Toronto [ __ ] like I'm really from that cloth.
I'm talking Cabana Friday Young Street.
[ __ ] like Redway RMP Redway.
>> RMP Rude Red for sure.
>> what I'm saying? That's our side. Every corner, someone's battling, dancers are dancing, everything is going on. Not from this new [ __ ] where you say you're a rapper and then somebody says, "Yo, rap." And you don't rap. You can't rap.
What Where does that That doesn't happen nowhere else?
That don't happen nowhere else.
That don't happen nowhere else. You know what I'm saying? A lot of people are going to watch this and they're going to be like, "Yo, what What is he talking about?" Like, "Yo, what?" They don't know.
>> They don't know.
>> it, bro. They don't know. And not to say there can't be both. There could be both. You know what I'm saying? But it can't just be one. We can't just get into this other [ __ ] where bars don't matter. [ __ ] rapping don't matter. [ __ ] showcasing their talent don't matter. People feel they're too big to 100% >> battle so-and-so that said they rap Come on, man. We don't do that. Where do we do that at?
Don't make no sense. Yo, speaking >> Speaking of hip-hop, Yeah. I got to I I got to make sure your hip-hop card is good. All right.

I'm not going to lie. I'm not the biggest Lil Wayne fan, but Carter II most definitely.
>> Come on. See, he even hesitate. He even hesitate. He didn't even hesitate. He knew it.
He knew. Carter III was huge. But that was a big thing for me. Carter II was the soul food. That's right.

>> [laughter] >> Carter 2 is different. So I forgot how different Carter 2 was. No unfortunately no.
Um no that was no that was on the that was on the Destiny's Child album. That was that wasn't that wasn't on the Carter 2 crazy Carter 2. I mean Carter 2 they did the song Soldier. Uh 6 months about a year later around the same time like the same run still. Yeah same run.
We we had the short the short the short locks. Yeah yeah yeah. Shout out to Weezy. Oh [ __ ] Big truck.

Holy [ __ ] that's what I was bumping.
How Weezy is a big truck. Yeah crazy.
Shout out to Weezy man. Shout out to Jeezy too.
Yeah that's a big truck.
Yeah. I tried to play this track.
He killed this one. This one this one it was like I I was like it was like understanding um [snorts] hip hop outside of New York City. Yeah.
You know what I mean? This was big for the cuz um there's not many southern rappers that But he [ __ ] with. Yeah on the East Coast type of [ __ ] right? So that was yeah this was a big >> heavy. He was heavy in in New York. He was living in New York during this time.
Oh yeah yeah cuz he was doing the he was doing all the beeping and all that. He was yeah he was on the >> Oh my god, that was a [ __ ] crazy album, too.
Uh, yes. That was crazy. That was one of the No Ceilings a little later, though.
He's going crazy.
>> That Weezy That Weezy run from 2006 to 2010. Yeah, it was it was different.
>> It was different.
>> [laughter] >> Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. I was [ __ ] with 50. I was I was I was G-Unit. You couldn't tell me I wasn't G-Unit them times. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, it was serious.
You couldn't tell me I wasn't G-Unit growing up. Lloyd Banks is, bro. I got you, guy, bro. I went back to The Massacre recently. Yeah. And I didn't realize that The Massacre was actually a [ __ ] sick album. That's what they try to they try to say it's not, but >> It was a [ __ ] sick album. is crazy.
well-put-together.
I feel like anything Dr. Dre kind of produces is like that.
>> Yeah. I heard him say some [ __ ] like he was super in his bag. That's why it's so long. I think it's like 18 tracks. Yeah.
Like the maximum amount for like a something [snorts] that's not going to be a double disc or whatever, right?
Super in his bag, so he just had all these ideas. He put everything out. He got rich. He became a millionaire.
>> Yeah, for sure. That's I don't know if like it's like it's not his last album, obviously, but it was like his like with um whole like It was Interscope. I think it was the last time he was with Interscope.
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that was that was that was The Massacre. That was Massacre 2.
It was a Massacre, rather. That was one of the best albums. Yeah. I I can argue with you.
No.
Curtis. was Curtis. Yeah. And I didn't like Curtis too much. I'm Yeah, I feel like Curtis was A whole technology was wild.
Yeah.
A whole technology stuff.
Finally, someone is saying that cuz That is a big That's like a new internet thing to get at that track. I [ __ ] with it. Is that the same album that had um Do you think about me? That was a big time. No, that's um Before I Self Destruct.
Oh, so that's the one that >> That's after Curtis. Yeah. Yeah.
>> that's the one you went against Kanye with. Was it No, Curtis Curtis was the Curtis was the I Get Money. Okay, so then you had You know what I'm saying?
>> That's when he sold that money. He always asked me when he sold the the deal. Yeah, he's the most business savvy guy on Earth, for sure.
>> Um I do I want to talk about something else real quick. Um you you seem you're you seem like a a man of of morals and honor. Industry code. Um >> [snorts] >> Can you give me your perspective on the Jim Jones and Cam'ron thing going on?
Like how does that make you feel? Who's in the right? Who's in the wrong?
You know what I feel like? I feel like it's just brothers arguing.
You know what I'm saying? Like I feel like it's like two close homies, someone's right in some cases, someone's wrong in the other case. And they're both just petty as [ __ ] Yo, Cam'ron is funny if you know I got You know like It's hard to It's hard to get involved in family business. Exactly. That's why you kind of just have to leave it alone. I just wish he would do it not on camera. For sure. For sure, but I feel like me me like I watch this [ __ ] This [ __ ] is my You know what? This is what if you want to call it wrestling soap opera, this is my [ __ ] So, you can see Cam say [ __ ] these [ __ ] from the time 50 put Jim Jones on stage at a show.
That's when Cam and 50 were going at it.
Right?
>> Back then? Yeah. So, he's still holding that grudge for 20 years? For sure. And then on top of that, you can see Remember, Cam was with Mase before Dipset.
>> Dipset, yeah. And then Jim Jones Jim I kind of I kind of align with Jim Jones a little bit because he's like the the muscle for the group. You could see if somebody's talking about this guy, he's jumping in to be the first one to stop it. Like chill, like chill, you're the money.
>> Yeah. Let me do. You know what I'm saying? So when that Mason Cam [ __ ] is going back and forth and you're at the forefront and then all of a sudden boom, they're back together and he's kind of He's on the side [snorts] of >> shunning you a little bit. Yeah, everyone's just in It's kind of weird, huh? Fam, artists are the most emotional people in the [ __ ] world. So so Cameron Cameron's kind of wrong though, right? I think both of them are wrong. I think there's so much [ __ ] >> a lot of this a lot of this [ __ ] too like what was going on with with with Joe Moe and and Killa is like a lot of the stuff is self-inflicted.
Yeah.
>> Cuz Cam doesn't have to say [ __ ] with a lot of the stuff that Yeah.
>> You [clears throat] know what I'm saying? Like he kind of kind of puts himself in the line of fire for [ __ ] And then when people feel like it, they decide to talk about it and make it a thing. Yeah.
You know what I'm saying? So it's like Like [ __ ] are going to kill me for this. When I seen the verses, I'm not going to lie, I was talking to my big homie and I said yo Jada with Jada?
Yeah. That was crazy. That was Jada I made the mistake, I'll be honest. We all thought we all thought we all thought.
>> Dipset had it. Yeah, we all thought that. Nah. You know what I'm saying?
Once I heard the first song, I it reminded me, I'm like, oh yeah, they got songs with Big. You know what you know what I heard? with Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, they got songs with bro.
>> You you know when I knew it was a problem?
When everyone walked out, Jadakiss walked out and did not say a word. He stood like this.
Big dog [clears throat and laughter] big dog [ __ ] fam. I'm not right now I'm not your friend right now. I'm like, yo, what's going on? Then I heard the and he started freestyling. I'm like, yo, hold on, when is this allowed?
When was this we're doing mixtape [ __ ] I thought it was just Nah, it didn't Okay, now it's going to get dark. That was a cheat code.
It's right there. As soon as he did the who shot you freestyle, bam, it got dark in there.
>> Let's make something happen." I said, "Oh, no." I heard the whole crowd react too. I was like, "Yeah." They were like, "Yo, what is this, the army?" Like, what is this? Yeah, it was Yeah, >> [laughter] >> it was bad.
>> Yo, especially especially when Cameron pulled up and he was sitting in a lawn chair. All right, so you see the disconnect. Dipset is here, Cameron's My bad. It's all good. Dipset's there, Cameron's over here.
Yo, Cameron was like, "So, yeah, he's on his own side." To the side until it until it comes down to his songs then he'll jump to the front. That's what I'm saying, like Yeah, so you can see the disconnect.
>> Sorry to interrupt.
>> Nah, you good. Here's the thing too, though, what was crazy about that.
Remember who was doing the most talking the weeks before Mhm. Who was talking?
No. Jim Jones.
Yeah. Jimmy, bro. Yeah.
>> Jimmy was talking crazy. Because but Jim is an internet algorithm. Um Yeah, you know that's what he Then when you get the 2K you can't say nothing cuz you were just doing all of that talking and then now you have to you have to eat that now.
Well, thinking about the verses, I didn't really hear Jim Jones say too much on the stage. It was mostly like Juelz Santana like talking.
>> Because that's what happened. And they took his band off the stage. Juelz was terrible.
That was terrible.
>> his band off the stage.
>> Juelz was zooped on that stage. What Yeah, when that van Danny hit the ground, it was officially over.
>> over. And he's another disappointment in hip-hop, too. Yeah. Yeah, he's another disappointment. Ah, man, we got to give we got to give Juelz his respect, man.
Shout out to Juelz.
He almost had it.
>> He still had to represent for like Dipset cuz I've never heard a bad verse from Jada, bro. Never? Never.
Never.
Oh, I'm I'm not I'm not saying top five.
I'll I'll give him top top 10. That's his name, bro. He's top five.

And I'm like I'm listening to this track. I think it was $500 ounces or some [ __ ] and I'm like or or karate kick or some [ __ ] I don't forget what the track was called, and I'm like I'm listening to this [ __ ] and I'm like oh, this sound this [ __ ] got like a real laid back kind of almost lazy flow, but I'm listening to what he's saying. I'm like hold I rewinded it like five times, and I'm like hold up, this guy's talking Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You know what I mean?
And then, I went and checked out the rest of his music, and like he's like that. So, Boldy James, so you got Hov, Roc Marciano, Boldy James. Sounds like an ad for Roc Nation. It is what it is.

Yeah, sorry to interrupt your thing, but what's your favorite tape by Nip?
Like what's your favorite like like Um Me, I'm a very I'm a very sentimental guy.
So, a lot of the times like the first one is going to be usually like what I really [ __ ] with. You know what I'm saying? Like even the other day like maybe like um like 2 weeks ago, outside was beautiful.
It was beautiful for no reason on a Saturday and it reminded me of an ad-lib that Nip had.
He had an ad-lib where he's like, "It's a beautiful day." And that's on the Bullets Ain't Got No Name Volume one. Volume one. I thought on the intro. And I was And he's talking about the sun is shining, still it's raining.
You don't want to get wet then boy stop hanging. You know what I mean? He's talking about shots flying and [ __ ] and he's like, "It's a beautiful day." You just hear that in the [ __ ] ad-lib.
I'm like, "Nah, this [ __ ] is funny.
He's funny as hell." Like you know what I mean? So, yeah, no. I mean, Bullets Ain't Got No Name Volume One. You know what I mean? When he did Hustle in the House, that Hustle in the House is what That set it off.
One of my first music memories was Kris Kross Jump Jump.
I was a baby rapping that [ __ ] in front of the TV.
Dumpling in one hand You know what I mean? In my diaper and like that was my [ __ ] You know what I'm saying? 1993 at some point like you know what I mean?
So, when I seen that he sampled that [ __ ] and he was his swag was a little bit more like, you know what I mean? Like my flavor that I [ __ ] with, you know? So, I was like, "Nah, I [ __ ] with this." And then once I started to do my research, I was bumping Nip in like grade 10, bro.
Mm. You know what I'm saying? So, his [ __ ] like watching him grow and like listen to his stuff early in, like I talked to him with the camera like early where I mean and that [ __ ] was crazy.
>> five, I might just kick out Yeezy and put Nip on.
Yo, um Yeah.
Um I just want to ask a question here real quick to this server here. Um Jay-Z's like considered a billionaire.
Right? For sure. So is So is Drake. He's considered like a billionaire. Yeah.
When does hip When does music become uninspiring and boring because the the artist is a billionaire?
Like I mean, what could Jay-Z tell us now?
Like what can we learn from Jay-Z now as as like a person who's nowhere near a billion?
You know what I mean? Like what What could What could Drake tell us since, you know what I mean? Like with this new album coming out, like what What do you think the the topic of discussion is going to be?
There was a lot of questions in that question. So, what's the I think the I think the main thing is like when does it come When does it become not cool to have so much money?
Mhm.
I mean How inspiring like do you really want to hear um You know what I mean?
Like do you want to hear Jeff Bezos rap?
like paintings and stuff. I don't know about that.
Yeah. But I'm saying like it's equivalent to Jeff Bezos rapping. No, but but the difference is Hov came up rapping and influencing I guess what I'm trying to ask rather, sorry for you cutting you off, brother.
I guess what I'm trying to ask is is there a disconnect between a billionaire and and a non and and you know, civilian, a normal person?
I don't think so.
>> I mean I feel like there is, yo. Yeah, there's there's a bit of your face changes, like there's things that you like that people can't afford, like Yeah. And your your wine or alcohol changes, like everything's changing. Your whole life is changing. You're not going to go into the store to Foot Locker and buy a pair Air Forces. You're getting Louboutins, yo. You're getting Yeah.
You're getting stuff. You're getting more expensive. think >> even I think that even comes down to the artist. The artist got to figure out a way to connect the two.
It's really good content, you right.
>> Yeah, I think Jay kind of I feel like Jay does it. Like I don't think there's anyone else that would be able to do it better than Jay cuz you know, he's done the whole thing. And remember like the cool of coming up, like you're never going to be able to emulate that. Mhm. That's what I'm trying to say. Cuz everybody loves a come up story. You know what I'm saying?
Like so it's like Yeah, true. I have a problem. Sometimes it's like either your fan base like kind of grows with you or they still kind of like quote and quote model model their life after what you got going on. And sometimes it don't. I think I feel like Jay is able to hold it down for that category. People say there's a disconnect disconnect, sorry, with Drake when it comes to that cuz he kind of you know, he's still kind of young and turnt. Like you know what I'm saying? Like he likes to drive for the younger guys and kind of do that. But I think that just comes off of him just being a super duper fan of music.
You know what I'm saying? With the uh just to piggyback off what you're saying, like with Hov you got to understand like it's the same [ __ ] Like we we watch him go through different phases, right? Yeah. Like and from he came in into the gate, he was already richer than everybody.
[ __ ] on his first [ __ ] he's saying, "I was drinking Cristal when y'all [ __ ] thought it was beer." Yeah.
He said that in '97, bro.
You know what I'm saying? Like even Cam had, you know what I mean? He had uh a little little period of time where they weren't as close him and Hov. And the second somebody tried to mix him and be like, "Yeah, like Hov's not like that." He's like, "Whoa, whoa. Like we might not be cool right now, but like let's not get it twisted. That [ __ ] had fish tanks in his wall before he even had a deal, bro. You know what I'm saying? So when you look at it, it's just another level of of growth just at like a different kind of level. And then it depends on the type of man that you are, right? Like if you know how to carry yourself and you know that not everybody can relate to certain stuff, you're going to choose to have different subject matter. You're going to choose to continue to relate to the [ __ ] that a lot of people can relate to. So it's going to >> Most definitely. talking about. He left [ __ ] in the dust a long time ago. He was one of the first pulling out Bugattis and supercars and all sorts of [ __ ] He been did that. And he still always found a way to be able to talk to [ __ ] And then just an example like 4:44 even before 4:44 like when when Blue was a baby, he's like, "Yo, bro, my baby got Basquiats on the wall, bro. My baby got those." Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So it's like it's been I guess what I'm trying to ask is how can you relate to that though? You can't relate to it though. I can't >> [laughter] >> But even but even even the other [ __ ] that you listen to, [ __ ] are still talking rich [ __ ] that the average person cannot relate to. So it's all about the money and stuff.
But you also still will have your your mixed stuff. It's like you're not going to wear all your designer all at once.
You're going to mix and match your pieces. You might do a Air Forces with you know, a piece that you got from Louis or like I mean, you're going to mix it. You're not just going to have everything sounding like you know, just all this super rich [ __ ] that you can't I mean, it's about at the end of the day it's about the craft and the skill and the art, right? It's not necessarily just about flexing the [ __ ] 100%.
That's how you like the difference.
Speaking of art cuz we got to pivot a little bit. Um but I mean, how do how does how does your um work like the creation of the art take place? Like do you do you sit there? Do you draw it out? Do you map it out?
Oh man, to be honest, yeah. I mean my business partner, she she's really good when it comes to like Photoshop and all those things. Me, I'm more of a like I can see it. I might not be able to hit the bells and whistles all the time, which I'm working on right now to like learn those type of things. But she's duper super duper creative when it comes to like the hardware of things. Like getting things done like that. So I always reach out to her and say, "Yo, it could be like 2:00 3:00 in the morning. I'll be like, "Yo, I feel I have an idea of making these figurines."
And but she'll be like, "What are you talking about?" But the more we talk, we we're we're synced like that. You know what I'm saying? That's my girlfriend as well. You know what I'm saying?
And we're so synced like that that us talking, eventually she gets it and then she's able to put it on paper, put it on the computer, put it in the 3D printer, whatever the case may be. And she figures it out and we do it like that. And at the same time, she's teaching me along the way at the same, you know, same rate, you know?
So good partner.
>> Things like that, yeah, for sure. You got to have that, you know? Got to be able to build up. Yeah, definitely. Like if there's anyone you're going to build with, should be your lady.
What's the new music project coming up this summer?
Oh man, I got a bunch of new music. Um even even you reaching out for me to come over here today made me um kind of kick things into gear. So I got a EP coming out probably probably within the next 2 weeks, 3 weeks, something like that. You know what I'm saying? Like I've been locked in the studio.
It's been a lot of pain music, a lot of you know what I'm saying? Cuz yeah, we're drinking we're drinking the 1800 tonight, but last year I decided I'm like, "Yo, I got to get my mind right, get my body right, get everything." So I kind of took a step back from music, everything. Started designing these. Started doing things that I normally don't do. Go outside, put my feet in the grass. You have to do it. You see what I'm saying? Like >> And these are the things that are kind of missing cuz it's like I feel like everyone's just a super bad boy. Mhm.
Every single day like [ __ ] talk like they wake up and eat bullets and milk for breakfast. Yeah, and gunpowder. Go touch some grass, my dude. Yeah.
>> [laughter] >> Go do something different. You see what I'm saying?
>> on water. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? So it's like that's the type of [ __ ] I was on all last year cuz I'm like 2026, I'm really going to get into some [ __ ] You see what I'm saying? I'm really going to do my thing.
So like the last I probably only had like two studio sessions this whole year, but I was able to bang out some [ __ ] where I'm just like even me, I'm like, yo, this is a level up as far as what I'm saying.
You know what I'm saying? So with that being said, I got a whole bunch of [ __ ] in the vault. I'm going to pick my favorites. Boom, boom.
Package it good, put it out there. You know what I'm saying? So that that is that's me on a normal day. I could sit down and bar anybody to death and do whatever the [ __ ] like that.
>> you want more content on your more feel like Exactly. So you know what I'm saying? So with that being said, I have that coming out. Then I'm I'm kind of getting into more of the the ladies wave, the fun wave cuz that's my whole thing. I'm like, fam, we all been through some [ __ ] We all know some people that died. We all know some people that got locked up. We don't been through our own [ __ ] personally.
Let's have some fun, my [ __ ] Is there anything else? Like you know what I'm saying?
>> Let's have some fun. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, no, it's dope.
>> What they say? Wednesday yesterday was taco Tuesday. I was wearing a sombrero.
I was I was dancing in the crib like some of the mandem I can't even get them to have no fun.
It's just ice grill all the time.
Sometimes man's just too locked into [ __ ] yo. For sure. Sometimes I be too locked in too. I got to chill out sometimes. Yeah, for sure. You know that's how it goes sometimes. Like life is life. You know what I'm saying? We can't act like life isn't life, but at the end of the day like there's more to any life that we know, there's more to it.
>> Yeah. You see what I'm saying? And it just helps with the creativity, it helps with your day-to-day, it helps with everything. Go see some [ __ ] that you've never seen, go do some [ __ ] you've never done. Yep. I'm I'm I'm currently building a I'm currently I I wrote a book. That's good.
>> I wrote a book. Um I'm I'm like shopping it around to publishers. Thank you.
Thank you.
>> That's good. Thank you. So seriously, you wrote a book?
Yeah. Um it took it took me 10 years to do it. Yeah. It took me 10 years, bro.
10 years. But like, you know, with AI in the last couple years Shout out to Shout out to ChatGPT. No, I I I have other ones.
>> What are the other ones?
>> Like I use other ones.
>> Like some Okay, you're deep diving in. I pay like 160 US for that per month.
That's Yeah, that's good. You know what I mean?
It's um other ones. Um um and uh I uh I'm currently building a summer home in Tanzania.
See, that's See, that's like some Now, let me Those are the type of people I want to talk to. See, yo, what you What you got going on? Oh, I'm building a summer home in Tanzania. That's what I want to hear. I don't want to hear about my boy and this that have this going on and blah I don't want to hear about none of that. It was It was pretty It was pretty It was pretty cool cuz my um my my boy married a Tanzanian. Yeah. And um her dad just inherited a bunch of land.
Sick.
>> On Zanzibar. Not Sorry, not in Tanzania.
It's on the island of Zanzibar.
Zanzibar? I only knew that to be a strip club.
>> Uh but yes, but but it's it's a it's a it's a island um in Tanzania. That's sick.
>> But it's like it's like it's like a it's like like the Caribbean island of Africa. You know, it's all blue blue blue waters all around the island. It's gorgeous. Everybody knows what Zanzibar is >> [laughter] >> strip club. Um That's who I talk to still. That's it. It's a real place, okay? It's a real place.
Yeah, it it was so it it it's what I'm I'm I'm piggybacking on what Blamo said.
You got to talk to a lot of people cuz my boy showed me he was like, "Yo, um he was like, "Yo, do you want a plot of land here? You know, 10 Gs, 10 Gs US.
You get your plot of land." I'm like, "What?" That your woman.
And and I'm paying I'm paying like only like 500 bucks uh US a month uh to get like the [clears throat] the this the the product and you know what I mean?
Like and it's Africa. [ __ ] is nice. So it's like you could pay people a little unfortunately a little low, but you can make it happen, you know?
For sure. It's all That's why I did So um yeah, it's almost done. Yeah, no, that's lit. That's lit. You know what I'm saying? See there? That's something different right there. Like, you know?
You know what I mean? So yeah, um Encourage people to live. Try new stuff.
>> That's it. Go outside, you know? Unplug if you have to unplug.
Sounds like you did like you did like the >> Detox. Not yeah, not even just yeah, like the detox or like just I've been calling it the Getting back into with yourself.
>> Yeah, I've been calling it the big reset. That's what I've been calling it.
The it's important. You know what I'm saying? And I've been like I'm big on manifestation. It's the manifestation with my [ __ ] You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying? I'm big on that [ __ ] And what I've been seeing like people think I'm crazy, but the people around me have been seeing it, too. 2026 is a big year for [ __ ] just resetting.
Resetting, yeah. You know what I'm saying? So now when you're on your gram and stuff, look at look at everything.
Look at um They're looking at the NBA. They're saying the NBA in 20 20 They're saying They're getting rid of the playing [ __ ] huh? Yeah, you see what I'm saying?
They're getting rid of what? They're getting rid of the playing like, you know like basically how um closer to the season the last uh ninth team then the 10th team will play the eighth and seventh team.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah. They're getting rid of that. They're going back to like your eight seed, seven. No more playing.
That's That's what they should do. Yeah, you see what I'm saying? So they're seeing similarities with the year 2026 and 2016. Even your some of your favorite viral moments on Instagram, you'll see them getting back together and saying, "Yo, uh this is 10-year anniversary of when we did some dumb [ __ ] and it went viral.
It is 10 years after 2016. A lot of crazy [ __ ] happened in 2016. Yeah, that was like the best summer. That's when I met That's when I met Nip. I met Nip 2011. Oh, yeah? So, you look at that.
So, you met Nip in 2011? In LA?
Look at that. You see what I'm saying?
And my first time in LA was a couple weeks ago. Oh, [ __ ] You know what I'm saying? I mean, I love LA. I love LA.
>> my first time out there, you know? First time. You know what I'm saying? All right. Big shout out to 1500 or nothing.
Yeah. Big shout out to my dog Beat Boy.
He's the one who scooped me and brought me to uh He brought me to Nip's shop.
Okay.
>> And I was already tapped in with Cuzzie Capone. Okay, okay.
>> And Ralo and [ __ ] cuz I was sending those [ __ ] beats like early early. I mean, bro, I was sending them [ __ ] beats.
They knew me as that [ __ ] who was just the homie from Toronto who's always sending the [ __ ] Yeah. So, I was like I really wanted to tap in with Cuzzie and and Ralo and they're like they're busy.
And um I showed my homie he tapped me in with uh I reached out to somebody to get studio time for an artist that I was working with.
And then I I tweeted that I was in LA.
Somebody who followed me who I've been cool with, my homie Beat Boy. Big shout out to you. He's producer. He produced for Shoreline Mafia and a couple other people. Shout out to He was like Shout out to He was like Yo, where are you at?
I'll come scoop you.
I'm like, yo, I'm over here. Told him what I wanted to do.
And I'm like, yo, I want to check Nip's shop. And then we got this studio session at 1500 or nothing studios. Big shout out to Rance. Shout out to Fluff.
And he's like, yo, those are like not far from each other.
So, you know what I'm saying? But everything in LA Yo, LA Yo, listen, if you're from Toronto and you've never been to LA, LA is big as [ __ ] bro. You were on You were on Rosecrans, right?
You were on Rosecrans.
Cuz I think his shop was on Rose It's on his Crenshaw and Rosecrans, I think. Not sure. I think it's Slauson. I think it's Slauson, too. Yeah, yeah.
So, it's two times the size of Toronto.
Bro, LA is so big. If you thought that you were going to take a bus or Uber everywhere, you are sadly Everything is an hour away. So, so where So, where Yeah, no. LA traffic jam as soon as I got there like It's a wrap.
It's a wrap. So, he schooled me.
Riding around, we grabbed some loud. You know what I mean? We're smoking, whatever.
Driving this [ __ ] We got food. Driving some more. It's like a over an hour like just a bunch of time passing by. We get to the shop. I'm like, holy [ __ ] I'm at the shop that this [ __ ] been talking about, bro. What I seen in videos. I'm like, this is crazy. I'm looking at mixtapes under the glass case Yeah. that I got beats on.
Cuz I was sending them [ __ ] beats. You know? Not necessarily not Nip. Like I was trying to get to Nip.
>> Yeah. You know what I mean? But I was sending to like his homies and [ __ ] Hopefully one day he'll hear it. It's crazy cuz he actually tweeted me because he was listening to beats with Cuz he Capone in the studio and then tweeted me. You know what I mean?
>> That's a smart move. He's like So, I'm looking around and I'm like I see like this white Range Rover pulling up to the shop and I'm like, holy [ __ ] like Yeah.
The car pulled up like they're on some business. Yeah. I'm like, [ __ ] no. We weren't pulling up on us even if we did, what the [ __ ] would we do? Like, you know what I mean? We're in [ __ ] LA, bro. Like they make movies about this place.
Listen like LA LA Same as the saxophone that was playing in the background. Yo, the saxophones are always playing, bro.
They just turn the volume down. They turn it back up. That's it. They don't stop playing.
That meme was the most craziest meme of all time. Nah, real [ __ ] So, I'm like So, I'm like I'm looking and I'm like Thank god. It's just a beautiful lady driving the in the Range. It's like tinted. I'm like, oh, she kind of looks like Lauren London and stuff. She just looks She just looks too light skinned.
Then I look in the passenger and I see Nip. I'm like, oh, [ __ ] I'm like, yo, that's him.
You know what I'm saying? And then you know, I eventually got to holler at him and it was crazy. I'm like, yo, like from Toronto, I sent your homies beats. So he's tweeting me one time, he's like, yo, your name sounds familiar. Like, you know what I mean?
And I didn't want to over talk him or like Yeah, you can.
>> what I mean? Booted out or whatever, but like he made time, hollered at everybody who was there cuz it was more than I mean, it wasn't just me that was there.
Like spoke to everybody, giving their time and [ __ ] and yeah, man, that for me was like one of the craziest things like >> Was that a conspiracy and stuff? Like or is it just a random thing? I don't even want to get into that, bro. It's facts.
It's It's deep. It seems like it's deep. I feel like it was a conspiracy.
>> to really have a conversation about it.
>> Yeah, one of these days we're going to have a deep dive on that. That's a whole next episode.
>> than what we saw. Yeah. Deeper than what we saw. Some Illuminati [ __ ] No, I wouldn't say that. I say it's definitely street [ __ ] but it's like bigger than what [snorts] we saw. Like, you know?
>> 100%. The guy but the guy who the guy who merked him, he's dead, right?
>> No, he's He's still in jail, I think, for it.
Yeah. They didn't get him in jail? I mean I seen they got him in jail.
Not not not finished. Not finished.
>> but You know?
>> They well, they should have >> They know they know who did it. They know who set it up. They know everything, but it's like The guy still deep to like why did it happen, you know? Like what >> Yeah.
You know how those things go. Those things always got like legs, four or five different stories, you know?
>> Yeah.
And the person was a crab, too. Like when I was a crab, he's like, yo, like they definitely planned out, you know?
But yo, long live Nip. You know what I mean?
>> 100%.
>> Marathon [ __ ] You know what I mean?
Big up to uh to Jorge Peniche. That's the dude who was doing the um like the whole branding of it. Tapped in with him like years and years and years and years ago. I bought a Slauson Donuts t-shirt. Like if you know about that, then you know. Mhm. You know what I mean? Mhm.
Big up to his brother, too. His brother is going hard.
>> Black Sam. Shout out to Black Sam.
>> yeah. The goat. Big up to Adam, you know, his other bro, you know, sis.
I mean, Amalie's daughter, Cross, you know what I'm saying, son, like the whole the whole family, the whole team, like, I mean, just keep pushing it. You know, Bino, Yeah, Bino is tough. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Bino is tough. No, Cozzie, Bino is crazy.
Bino is tough. J Stone, J Stone is crazy, wow.
J Stone, yeah, bro.
Big up to them for that. Um you should come by a lot more.
I'm down. Like, you know what I mean, like every quarter, every quarter, pull up, you know what I mean?
>> Let me know, I'm super down, man.
>> not even on not even on the not even on the promo run, you know what I'm saying?
Just to show you just to come through.

>> you I think you have the cachet to go to like different cities, you know what Appreciate that, yeah, we're definitely We got We got a big look. We got a big look that we were working on behind the scenes the whole of last year, and then we got some good news in January. Mhm.
So, um yeah, [ __ ] you know? Fingers crossed, we'll figure it out.
>> Yeah, cuz I mean, that's the that's the way that's the way to the money as an artist today.
>> Oh, 100% for sure.
>> you're doing [ __ ] >> Yeah, yeah. That's the merch. Merch is okay. Merch is okay, but really how can you sell the merch if you're not on tour? That's the thing. That's the thing, you got to be outside.
>> doing shows. Yeah, you got to be outside. That's Yeah, that you're right, it comes down to the shows cuz that's how you sell your merch. And and and that's how you make guap. You know, they see you do a good performance and they sure, outside. Like I remember I remember remember remember when what's-his-face, Lil B, was out there?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he was he was living he but he was living because he He going on tour. Yeah. You know, multiple cities every night. You know what I mean? Or every other night, rather.
Um and yeah, we're about to wrap it up anyways, but you want to give a shout out to anybody your crew?
Your IG [ __ ] >> brand, bro. Talk about the brand. Remind people. Yeah, shout out to Bring Your Bring Your Bars Battle League. Listen, we're still looking for my contestant.
You know what I'm saying? We're looking for my my not contestant, my challenger.
You know what I'm saying?
Uh we're putting on there's going to be probably like five battles that night.
Listen, if you want to come out if you want to show your talent, if you want to get This is another thing. If you want to get paid for battling, you know what I'm saying? Cuz I've never asked nobody.
Listen, every time I've hit a stage unless it's my homie that's trying to build something, I have got paid. I'm very spoiled in this music [ __ ] >> I am very spoiled in this music [ __ ] >> I can concur here. I can concur.
>> Yeah, shout out to Big Bird, shout out to Tarnish, shout out to Brown Boys Records. I am very spoiled when it comes to this music [ __ ] So, if I'm telling somebody to come out and do something, they're definitely going to get paid. We're going to definitely work out contracts. So, to all these artists or spitters or the way I look at it, bro, Meek Mill's one of my favorite rappers. Meek Mill said, "Yo, I wasn't a battle rapper, but [ __ ] were outside battling." Mhm.
You see what I'm saying? Shout out to Tsu Surf. Tsu Surf just came home.
>> Just freed up.
>> crazy how we got that.
>> Yeah, that's the [ __ ] that's a [ __ ] that um he's battling, but people only know him for music. You know what I'm saying? And then other people >> bro, when it comes to that.
>> Yeah, see? So, when something's going on outside, you got to be outside. So, to all these people that are spitters, you don't necessarily have to be a battler, but my [ __ ] you have the bars, you have this going on. Let's put this [ __ ] together. Let's showcase you. Let's showcase what I got going on. Let's build up the city the way the city doesn't want to be built up. Someone got to build it up. 100%.
>> what I'm saying? And I'm not even saying it's me. I'm saying it's us. You feel me? So, shout out to Bring Your Bars Battle League. Um shout out to everyone that supports me. Anyone that supports me, I promise you we are stepping on next this year. Blem, tell me who your favorite podcast is.
My favorite podcast? This podcast right here. Let's go. The City Girls Podcast, baby. Yo, Caddy, what's popping? You good? Yeah, I got to big up Double M, you know what I'm saying? We're trying to take over.

Facts.
You are you're are you in any movies or any shows any any time soon? Do you have any time soon, rather? No, just uh just plotting, man. Just plotting. Tell them about that million-dollar check.
You got a million He's a he's a he's a he's a he's a he's a he's a he's a he's a really blank checks, man. It's a few blank checks, man.
>> I believe you. If you see Yo, if you pause on a couple shows, you'll see his face. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's there. He's doing his thing. I believe you. He's doing his thing. Um, yo, this is City Girls Podcast. I swear to God, it's that this is a hip-hop podcast.
And we're doing this on the strength.
You know what I'm saying? Blem, Blem is one of my favorite rappers in the city, by the way, guys. He's really one of my favorite rappers. Like, if you see me, I'm really posting him. Yeah, this is my [ __ ] bro. I love to do this [ __ ] It's not I never there's never been one day where I jumped in the studio and it was about somebody else. You see what I'm saying?
Like, it was because of me why I went to the studio. Whether I paid, whether I built it, whether my homie had a studio, whether we was recording in the [ __ ] car.
You know what I'm saying? With a penny I'm coming from penny holes penny holes over the the the hanger filters. That's where I'm coming [laughter] from. Can't rap with me, man.
Yeah, we out, baby. Let's get There's a couple emotions. Yeah, food creates emotion cuz when you're hungry, you want the food that you want. Friends create an emotion because when you go and you hang out with your friends and you go and have a good time with your friends. And um especially if they're your old friends, so they have history on you for a time.
But music, why do you think all these older people sit there still listen to 70s classic rock? Because they remember where they were on that moment when that song was playing. And they remember cuz I remember I remember the first time I ever heard Who Shot Ya from Biggie Smalls.
I love that track. Is the audio [ __ ] good on that?
We'll [ __ ] wing it.
We're going to wing it.
