Mission Solutions at Eurosatory 2026
Added:I'm Matthias Noel. I'm the executive vice president for digitalization at KNDS. So, we as a pan-European leader for land systems in Europe, of course, have the ambition to connect all our assets, which we have on booth and on space, also with a command and control simulation mission solution. So, what we're showing here right now is a mix of sensors and effectors networked in a mission [music] solution and displayed in this room what you see here. We are connecting the sensors and the effectors in the system towards a system which displays to the military operator the capabilities and the options he has to decide.
So, you see on the different screens the involved assets. So, it's starting with an ISR drone, which is delivering us the surveillance information, which is important as an input for our calculation of the decisions.
After receiving this data, we are calculating it in our IC2 command and control system. And this IC2 command and control system is exactly providing after calculation an option for the military commander to decide what he could do or what he may not do.
We have a mix of unmanned and manned assets, and the human being as the military operator remains in the position to do what he is strong on, that means taking the decision what needs to be done. Giving the input and the commands [music] to the crew of the mission command cell, and then the act, that means the engagement of the effectors is starting.
So, we have connected here a couple of effectors. You see already on the screen some of them.
It's ranged from in this case here in Paris at Eurosatory 26 for a loitering munition which we have connected. We have also connected a rocket launcher Mars 3. So, there's a different set of app options of effectors we could use in order to exactly engage that threat what he has identified.
I see two command control systems then sharing the information towards the involved assets and then the effect takes place. The surveillance drone is still supporting the commander with concrete evaluation of the impact. For us as KNDS it's very important as one KNDS that we now despite all these effectors we have in our booth and also [music] in our stock that we also are able and capable to connect these assets with a digital network solution in a way that we can provide an end-to-end mission solution. And you see here behind me a demonstrator how we integrate these drones of third parties and you see here the integration of the Helsing HX2 drone which is one potential effector for our missions. And on the right side you see here the integration of the Titan interceptor drone which is suitable for the interception of drone threats. So the mission command room exactly [music] addresses these effectors and after the choice of the operator these effectors are going to be launched in order to take care of the threat which I mentioned. This is the 8x8 Caesar system from the colleagues from KNDS France and also [music] this effector is integrated in our mission command solution. That means that's one of the assets one of the effectors which is chosen by the system depending on the threat which is coming in. So what we are showing at this trade show and also in general is that we as KNDS we are capable to integrate all these assets of KNDS in a mission command solution in order to offer a complete mission solution, connected systems, seamless integration, digital enabled in order to speed up the decision [music] process of the military commander.
