How to Make ANY OBJECT Look Transparent in Seconds!

[00:00:00]I've got a really fun video for you guys today. I'm going to show you how you can take virtually any object and make it look transparent. And this works with virtually anything that you film. And it's so easy to do that I'm going to demonstrate how I pulled this off. I'm going to show you guys how I did this with the Canon 5D Mark II because I plan to do a video on the Canon 5D Mark II.

[00:00:19]And I want to showcase the cool internals, the magnesium body, all of the electronics, but I don't want to take it apart and I want to show you how I pulled off this really cool effect.

[00:00:28]So, the very first thing we need to do is actually go out and film the object that we want to convert transparent. So, in this case, I've got the 5D Mark II.

[00:00:36]I've got this like little 9-second clip.

[00:00:39]And then from here, we want to find a really good reference image here. So, in this case, I like this very first frame because you can see the whole entire camera. Everything is visible. Nothing is blurry, and it's pretty sharp. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to go ahead and hit export. And I'm just going to go ahead and export this into a folder that I'm going to be able to upload this to Higsfield in a second here. Now, I need to find reference images of the Canon 5D Mark II internals. Given that this camera is very old, I'm sure if I just go to Google and type in Canon 5D Mark II internals, there's a bunch. And you can see people have torn this camera apart.

[00:01:14]Now, I want to find frontal shots, not from the rear, because we do have a front shot. You can see there's quite a few here. Now, there are some here that may not be like this one here. This might not be a 5D Mark II, but I think it looks cool and you could definitely use these as reference images. Of course, the more reference images you provide, the better of a generation it will make because we are going to use Higsfield for this. Now, once you find reference images, you want to download as many as you want or screenshot them, whatever you know is easiest for you.

[00:01:43]Then head on over to Higsfield. Now, I like to use Nano Banana Pro 2 or Nano Banana Pro because I feel like it works the best. And you can see here I've kind of already set this up. So, I have all of the reference images. You can see I've used this reference images or this reference image. I've used this one. I don't even know if this is a 5D Mark II, but that doesn't look like it because it doesn't have the magnesium. But, I like the electronics and it's just kind of telling the AI software like what it could look like. Right now, from here, what you want to do is upload all of your reference images first. And then lastly, what you want to do is upload the image that you exported from your editing software. So what we're going to do here is we're going to write a prompt. So the prompt is going to be create an image of this Canon 5D Mark II camera and make the body and make the camera fully transparent glass so you can see the sensor components and magnesium body. Here's the thing. You want to be as detailed as possible because you got to think of it like you're talking to a child. And also too, it may make mistakes and you're going to have to go in there and correct them.

[00:02:42]And I'll demonstrate some of those a little bit later. Make it look ultra realistic than high detail. Don't change the background. Again, you got to be very specific because otherwise with AI, that's why people end up with six fingers because you're not being very specific. So, don't change the composition. Don't change the camera.

[00:02:59]Don't change any of the letters or font.

[00:03:01]Keep the exact same position of the camera. And then at the end I put I've added a few pictures of the inside and internal for references or internal reference shots so you know which parts go where. Now once you do that and this is all optional. I'm just giving you the way I do it. Um I do 16x9. You can depends on the aspect ratio that you want to do or right here you can do 2K because when you use 2K or 1K it does give you unlimited generations which means you're not going to be spending a lot of money. Now, because I've been doing this now for a while, I know that it's going going to do such an incredible job. I just leave it for 4K because I don't want to go and upscale it later. So, I'm going to leave it for 4K. And I do like to do a batch size of four. And now, when I do batch size of four, it means when I hit generate, it'll give me four different variations.

[00:03:46]Now, I'm not going to hit generate because, as you can see, I've already did it once. And here's all my different generations. And you can see like the internals here look slightly different from the one over here, right? Like these look a little bit different.

[00:03:58]Personally, I think and this one here, look, it almost kept like the cap. Like the cap is almost transparent. You can still see Canon, which actually looks pretty cool. Um, but this is the one that I actually like the best right here. I think this one looks to me like the best. This one or this one. Either of these two look good. And then from here, what you want to do is you want to download this reference image because from here, we're going to head on over to the video side of Higsfield and we're going to go to Cling0.1edit.

[00:04:26]Now, before we do anything here, I want to show you, we need to go back to Premiere Pro and then export our video because here's the thing. We're not generating this from scratch. You're actually using existing footage. And that's always what I've said. I've always said when it comes to AI, I don't mind because I use footage that I've shot myself. Okay, here's the footage.

[00:04:46]Here's the reference video, right? In this case, not an image. It's a reference video. And I'm going to go ahead and export this. Right? So once I export this whole video, which is about 9 seconds, you you do need to at least export a minimum of 3 seconds up to I believe 9 seconds might be the max that they let you edit as of filming this video cuz things change so quickly. So from here, I'm going to go back to Higsfield and I'm going to upload this video here, and it's a 9-second clip.

[00:05:12]And then I'm going to upload my reference image, which is the one that shows that transparent effect. Um, and then I'm going to write this prompt.

[00:05:20]Make video one, because remember this is the first video. Make video one camera seeth through as in the reference image.

[00:05:27]So I'm telling it like make the camera look like it's see-through like the image reference that I uploaded. And then right here I'm going to put make the camera see through. Basically saying again like just want to be very clear don't change anything else from the background or the composition. And then once you do that um it does default to auto settings. I usually disable that and I because I know that I exported like I said look 3 seconds to 10 seconds because I know I exported a 9-second clip. I'm going to go ahead and select 9 16 by9 1080p. Now once you finish go ahead and click on generate. Again I already did it so I'm just kind of trying to save you guys time. And then this is the reference image or the reference video that it generated which I think looks insane. like even the detail and all of the reflections from the light. Like it kept all of that information which I think looks wild.

[00:06:20]Now from here, what I'm going to do is I'm going to download this and then bring it into Premiere Pro. So I'm going to go here. I've already imported.

[00:06:27]Again, I'm just doing this to save time.

[00:06:29]And I'm going to overlay this in front of my existing. Now this is a 1080p. So we're going to have to go ahead and upscale this. I usually like you can use software. I just use Premiere and I just go to 200%. I find that when I export it, it looks really good. And you can see here, like I'm just going to scrub through the frame and I'm going to disable the frame. And you can see it looks pretty freaking insane. Look at this. Okay. So, what I can do now is I can just take that new generation, the video one, and I can just create like a little fade effect. So now what's going to happen is when I hit play, it's going to show the existing real video and it's going to show the one that I generated using Higsfield, which again, look at the reflections and everything. Now, as I mentioned, you can do this with virtually any object. Now, I've done this with an Audi. My friend shot this this car, this Audi R8, and I uploaded some reference images, and it just looks incredible. I mean, this looks amazing.

[00:07:28]Now, one thing about it though is some of the reference images had red calipers. And this is what I mean about being specific. So, when I was generating this, I had my original which had gray calipers and then my new generation had red calipers. So, I had to be in there and tell be specific and say keep the calipers gray. Don't change them to red. So, whenever you're working with AI, you have to really be specific.

[00:07:51]And if you see something that just doesn't look correct, go back, regenerate, and make those changes. But like I said, I've been using this and this is pretty amazing how well it works. If you really want to wow your clients, I think this super simple effect will get the job done. And the best part about it is it's actually footage that you film. So, it's going to give it that realistic look that normally, like if you were to generate this 100% with AI, it's not going to look the same.
