Wild Turkey 101 8 Year — Is It as Good as the 70th Anniversary?

[00:00:00]When a new whiskey bottle comes out and it absolutely hits the spot like your sweet spot, I don't know if there's anything better. I really don't. Do you?

[00:00:06]That was definitely the case whenever this bottle came out. Wild Turkey 70th anniversary for Jimmy Russell coming in at 8 years old and 101 proof. I don't know what it was about this one, but dude, I absolutely loved it. I backed this bottle up. I ended up getting three of them. And I'm down to this much left.

[00:00:22]We'll see. Because this bottle is a fairly new release from Wild Turkey.

[00:00:25]It's 8 years old and 101 proof. We still struggle to see these in my area. But I got one today. Let's pour it up and give it a taste.

[00:00:36]Yeah, I'm definitely getting more oak influence. I think that's what's giving me that Wild Turkeyesque funky nose. Uh definitely more than I remember the 70th, but let's go for the taste. Oh yeah. I mean, that's outstanding.

[00:00:47]Definitely better than the regular Wild Turkey 101. I can definitely say that.

[00:00:51]And honestly, this does exactly what I needed to do. When we're comparing to the 70th anniversary, this is pretty close. I will say it's not as like buttercream frosting, not as vanilla as the last one. I get a lot of sweet flavors off of that 70th, but this right here is a banger. And dude, we could find these for like $35 to $50 price range. This is a buy all day. I think this is a great whiskey for beginners and non- beginners alike. Four notes, dusty, cherry, oak, caramel. Not much I dislike about this at all. I even like the proof point and the a statement that it's at. I'm going to give Wild Turkey 8year a solid 8 out of 10. Let me know down below, though.
