[00:02:26]Look. There's food in there. See, there's a hidden one. So, my friend gave me a bunch of new feeders.

[00:02:33]So, I ended up putting them all around so there's enough feeders that everybody doesn't fight over sharing. And we have a secret one here, a hidden one, so everybody can eat. But holy man, it is windy and it is going to storm today for the rest of the week. Yours is done.

[00:03:07]She needs to eat more because she's nursing, but she won't eat more because she won't eat in her stall. Share.

[00:03:15]So technically now we have 1 2 3 because two can eat from that. Four 5 6 7 8 9. So now we have nine spaces goats can eat. And you need to eat less, Missy.

[00:03:35]Oh, she came back with me, too. Oh, look at that nice little udder. Look at that baby belly. I was thinking about doing maternity pictures with her.

[00:03:52]Good girl. Yeah. And boy, good girl.

[00:03:57]There's a little Gemma. We decide on a name for her. Oh, she looks cute. So, her registered name is going to be as pretty as a gem. So, she'll have our her name in front and then after that will be pretty as a gem. I don't know if I should take off their sweaters cuz it's supposed to get cold.

[00:04:19]But maybe I'll take them off and put them back on at noon. Saw a comment today that said they were surprised that we got a pure white goat. They didn't think that you could ever get pure white goats. And there are no pure white goats in Nigeria. Isn't that funny? There are no like you can't when you're registering them, you can't put white because white isn't a color. is an it's something that goes over top of a color.

[00:04:42]But you absolutely can get pure white goats or goats that look pure white because they have so much white it lays over their color and hides it. So that's what she is. She has a lot she's she has total white overlay. She's a color under there. We just can't see it. And it's not black. So my guess is that it's gold because in her family everybody is always gold or that buckskin color that has gold in it. So I don't think it's buckskin but it could be buckskin or it could be gold. But if it's buckskin it's like a light buckskin like she is. And she keeps scratching herself to get all her winter coat out.

[00:06:37]>> So, the reason I wanted to introduce you guys to our full herd and our new herd is because it truly is going to be a new herd. Now that we have no horned goats, it's going to change the whole dynamic of our herd.

[00:06:57]I say that as they just start fighting.

[00:06:59]Randomly start fighting. But to be honest, I've already seen changes in everybody. Wondering if I should put those sweaters back on those babies.

[00:07:09]Yep. Everybody's all fired up. But now everybody will be able to stay in this side of the barn when it's raining. Now everybody will be able to eat wherever they want to eat because nobody will push them off or for the most part, nobody will push them off. get off.

[00:07:26]They are still definitely figuring things out, but it's definitely going to be a big change for our herd. It's going to mean that a lot of our goats don't feel threatened and don't feel scared all the time, and it's going to change their behavior. We have goat Oh, I need to put hay out there. We have goats that hide to eat. They have to climb inside the feeder because they're afraid of being pushed off being caught unaware while they're eating and then being hurt. So, it's going to change everything. So, I wanted pretty as a gemstone for Gemma's registered name. And Sophie wanted pretty as a gem. So, I went with that because eventually it'll be just Sophie doing goats one day, far in the future hopefully. But I love having her input and I want her to always feel like she has a part in it and has a choice and that we come to decisions together and that she's an equal partner in the goats because having a partner with the goats makes having goats so much more fun.

[00:08:52]They're like, "Why you out there, Laura?" So, I know everybody can stay dry down here because >> it's they have like a nice shelter and it's not too cold outside.

[00:09:34]>> Yeah. And there's four more leaving.

[00:09:37]little ones. So, we hardly have any goats.

[00:09:39]>> So, it's fun.

[00:09:41]>> Anyway, so we came down to check on Lola's little littlest babies. She's got them all tucked in there. She's made that her home. Let's go look. I'll show you. Oh, >> you were behind me.

[00:09:50]>> I suppose she's going in. I I if she may she breaks her way in, I just let her in.

[00:09:58]That's what she wants. That's what she can do.

[00:10:01]>> Well, get in there. Oh, no. She's like, "That's not what I want. I want the food."

[00:10:10]>> Toffee is worse than Foszy. You know how Tilly is really crazy about her babies.

[00:10:14]Let anybody see them.

[00:10:18]>> The toffee is the same. Yeah, they are probably warm, but I mean it could get colder by the time we come down next.

[00:10:25]Let's see. Oh, yeah. They're kind of warm. It's windy there.

[00:10:34]They're so cute. Hey, look. Does she have brown around her? I know.

[00:10:40]They're really cute. But this is her little hideout for them. She puts them always in here.

[00:10:45]>> She's like, "Hey, what are you doing with my grown?"

[00:10:47]>> I know. She's actually such a good little mama. Look at when they lick themselves. That's so cute.

[00:10:56]So cute. I shouldn't lay here because they use me as like a as a train. Look at how cute she is. Did I tell you guys her name? I think I did. We're calling her our Yeah, I did tell you. We're calling her our barn name. And then as cute as a gem.

[00:11:41]>> Oh, yeah. These spots. But his spots are different, are they?

[00:11:45]>> Well, they're smaller cuz >> Yeah.

[00:11:48]>> You're going to be >> cute. All right. So, we're going to do a couple of feet while we're here because we have to do them every month.

[00:11:55]>> All right. Let's do a couple of feet.

[00:11:57]So we try and do like >> Thank you. No, >> we try and do anybody who has to get on the stand for any reason.

[00:12:08]She's like, I don't want to get up.

[00:12:15]>> So, starting on Monday, I could actually start milking this goat. But judging by how hard it was for me to get her Oh, look at her. Her. She's got no milk.

[00:12:24]They'd be drinking it all.

[00:12:26]>> They just drink.

[00:12:27]>> Yeah, her udder is so soft.

[00:12:33]She's got milk. All right, I'm gonna do her feet really quick. And Sophie got a new speaker. Sam was out shopping today and he bought one. It's not the one she wants. She wants one she can attach to her. But he got her a little speaker. It was just so nice. All right, so that was the most insane goat feet trimming ever.

[00:12:49]So I brought my phone down because my friend was going to have a baby baby goats. It was Posh's mom was going to have babies and so I brought it down and I said, "I'm bringing my phone down to the barn. I'm so excited to see what you get." And then she phoned me and she said, "The baby's stuck. I can't get it out." So I talked her through it and she got it. It was just coming out. Feet butt first and feet tucked under, which we've done. So anyway, she got it out and everything was good. It was a little doling and it lived. And then she called me back again and the next one was coming and the head was back. And that's the hardest delivery ever. And so she worked and worked and worked and Sylvia and I stayed on the phone with her because to give her support cuz she was alone and she got it out. Her vet is an hour and a half away. So there was not even any chance that she was going to like the baby was going to be dead and she was so worried about her dough. So anyway, she got it out. And so that was all happening while we were cutting feet. So I don't know how we even did it. caught feet, cut the feet, did the feet, and anyway, I would have showed you guys, but we put mama and the babies in just cuz they're still little.

[00:13:59]And we caught all these three feet. Her feet under there. Who else did we do? We did uh who else did we do? We did four.

[00:14:08]>> Three.

[00:14:08]>> No, we did one, two, three, four. Did we not?

[00:14:11]>> Oh, yeah.

[00:14:12]>> We did all the yearlings.

[00:14:15]Is that it?

[00:14:16]>> Mhm.

[00:14:16]>> And we tried to feel her babies. We got nothing. And she's due in a month.

[00:14:20]>> Lola with her little crew.

[00:14:21]>> I know.

[00:14:22]>> Oh, look. She's actually sleeping with her babies under there.

[00:14:24]>> I know. And so that's another thing like ever since we sold her sister. So her sister stayed in her stall with her and we loved it because they both took care of the babies and they both loved their babies. But I wonder if her sister was kind of pushy with her and she didn't feel comfortable loving her own babies because her sister was in there. Because ever since her sister left, she's been cuddling with them at night, sleeping with them outside. I found her. Every time I find her, she's with her babies now.

[00:14:51]>> She has no one to be with.

[00:14:53]>> She has nobody else to be with. Maybe that's it.

[00:14:55]>> Sisters.

[00:14:55]>> Yeah, we sold both of her sisters. No, we sold her daughter.

[00:14:59]>> We sold both of her sisters.

[00:15:00]>> Oh, yeah. We sold two of her sisters and her little niece.

[00:15:05]>> Both her nieces.

[00:15:05]>> So, the only goats that we have left to do now are those three little boys right there. And we're gonna do them on Saturday.

[00:15:13]>> Well, one of those is a girl.

[00:15:15]>> Oh, yeah. Those two little boys and a little girl. Anyway, that was so stressful because I was like feeling it again. Like how was we lost the baby with its head back like that last year. Look at all the mess.

[00:15:28]Actually, doesn't even look that bad.

[00:15:30]But I know, just know like when you're alone and you're feeling stressed and you can't get the baby out. And she just kept saying, "I can't get it out. I can't get it out." And I was like, "You can get it out. I know you're going to get it out. I can tell you're going to get it out. And she did get it out.

[00:15:45]So stressful though. And we missed the rain.

[00:15:49]And you are knocking off your skir now.

[00:15:52]Oh, that's the hard part about having boys with those skirts.
