11 New Locations Coming With 7 Days to Die 3.0 - Hidden Bunkers, Factories, and More!
Added:Hello.
I'm GameRetainer and in this video I'm going to be going over some of the other new POIs that are coming to 7 Days to Die with a 3.0 update. I've already made a video going over some of them and I'll put a link to that in the description.
But there are still plenty of new POIs that I haven't yet covered. So, let's take a look at some of them. Kicking things off, we have the love shack. If you're a fan of environmental storytelling, then you're going to like this one. It's a little wooden shack and when you make your way inside, you'll find a businessman in a nice little bedroom. Nothing all that interesting so far. But if you break the bed, there's a hatch that takes you underground. And underground, you'll find a party girl.
Now, there's a couple of ways of looking at this. This could be a case of a guy who is being unfaithful and wanted to keep it secret or a guy who wanted to keep somebody locked out in a basement.
Either way, it's a pretty interesting one and if you don't know the hatch is there and you're not one for breaking down all the beds and things you see, then it's quite easy to miss this. Also, side note, the little tower next to the building has a locked safe inside. Camp Hollow Point is a tier four POI and it has a very big underground bunker to explore. Above ground, you're not going to find too much, but if you make your way over to this scaffolded area here, you can head underground. If you want to turn off the zombie digging mechanic, this could be a really good one to use as a base. As you can see, there's a lot of space down here. You'll also find a lot of enemies because, well, it's a tier four POI. Now, this bunker isn't anywhere near as big as somewhere like the Red Mesa compound, but it is still very impressive.
It's relatively easy to navigate, so you're probably not going to get lost here. And once you have explored the bunker and cleared it, you can come out through this door here and leave the POI. I can see quite a few people using this one as a base. Because there's not a lot of buildings above ground, it's not going to take long to remove them and build your own base. And then you've got the underground area which you could use for storage or crafting or whatever you like, really. The Regional Paper Company is a tier three POI, and it is perfect if you need things like paper, plastic, and leather, because there's just plenty of it lying around. As you make your way in, you'll come across an office that is filled with plenty of stuff to break down, and lots of leather chairs.
I can see this one being a bit of a gold mine early on. While it is a tier three POI, it's not particularly difficult to clear, especially if you've been playing the game for a little while.
There's something a little strange about this place. One of the bathrooms has a little waiting area, which I've not seen before.
So, if you want to sit down and listen to your friend while they drop the kids off at the pool, then I suppose you can.
There are some vending machines here, so if you do want to move into the place, you could have some vending machines on site, which is always nice. If you are somewhat patient, then the main loot is pretty easy to grab without having to put in much effort. All you've got to do is break through these walls on the side of the building. The building itself is largely made of concrete, and the roof is pretty big and flat, so if you do like to living roof, this is a pretty good one. And like I said, if you do want some of the basic resources, I've cleared this one a couple of times, and I walked away with thousands of paper, hundreds of cloth, and a couple of hundred leather, too. This next one was a bit harder to clear than I was expecting.
>> [music] >> This is Grand Daddy's Cable Corporation, and it's a tier four POI. It spans over multiple levels, and it has a pretty big basement, too.
The upper levels are mostly offices, so there is plenty of resources to break down and scrap.
And the building itself is very sturdy.
It's not a good one to use as a cowardly hoard base if you just want to hide from the zombies. The basement is where you'll find the main loot, and this one kind of reminds me of US Army Post 7.
There are nowhere near as many zombies in this one, but it is still somewhat challenging. You'll find this POI in built-up areas, and after making a handful of maps, it comes up fairly often. I think on average it popped up between three and five times on any given map. The Ironwood Paper Mill is a tier four POI and it's a pretty big one.
It's quite easy to get lost inside this one. I know I did a few times when I was trying to make my way through, but just like the paper offices I mentioned earlier, this place is very good for getting some basic resources. The main loot can be found on the roof of the building, so if you don't fancy clearing the whole place, you can nerdpole your way up, but I do recommend exploring it fully because it is a fun one to clear.
The Chem Tech Distribution Center is probably one of the coolest looking POIs in the game. It's a tier four and as you can see, there's like a little shantytown on the roof. The building itself is pretty big and it will take a little while for you to make it to the roof and the roof is where you'll find the main loot. There's not all that much inside the building, especially when compared to many of the other tier four POIs in the game.
But that's because it looks like the former survivors were bringing everything up to the roof, which is where they were surviving. That was until they stopped surviving. But I really like the style of this one. You have the pre-apocalypse building below and then the post-apocalyptic survival base above and I think that's really cool. Like I said, you'll find the main loot on the roof and it's in this little shack here. The Water Treatment Plant is a tier four POI and it is a really cool one and I really wish there were more POIs like this in the game. This one is based off a place that was hidden away in the game files, but it's since been improved on and brought over to the main game. What sets this place apart from the other POIs in the game is that there's water everywhere and you actually need the water in order to get to the main loot, but it's not as simple as just pressing a button and the water will drain.
You do need to press a button, but after that, all hell breaks loose. Zombies will spawn in from every direction in multiple waves and each time you kill a wave, the water will go down slightly.
Once you've killed all the zombies, the door to the main loot room will open up and all the water will drain so you can loot it. I like the fact that you need to kill the majority of the zombies before you can even get to the main loot room. I mean, I know you can technically cheese it, but this is a really cool feature and I wish more POIs had this sort of mechanic. Horse Snout Factory is a tier 3 POI and when I saw this name in the game files, I got quite excited because I thought it was like a little puppy daycare place. But upon closer inspection, it's not. This is some type of pet food production facility. You'll find all the machinery that you'd expect to find in a food production place. But what really threw me with this one is this little bit here which kind of looks like an animal testing facility, which is pretty morbid. The POI itself is pretty easy to navigate and while it is a tier 3, it's not that difficult to clear, at least in my opinion anyway.
It's not as lucrative as many of the other POIs in this video, but since it is a new POI, it's still worth checking out. I'm going to turn into a post-apocalyptic real estate agent for this next entry. If you want a nice home to move into to survive the zombie apocalypse, then Casa Carneiro might be a good one. This is a pretty sleek modern house. There's plenty of space inside for all of your storage needs.
There are two main levels and there is also a small attic. There's plenty of space out in the garden, so you can have a nice farm out here. And for whatever reason, there's a drained swimming pool with a wheelchair at the bottom.
This isn't relevant to anything, I just wanted to point it out. There is also an outdoor bar here, which is a nice touch.
With a little bit of effort, this could be turned into a really nice home. Since it's a tier 2 POI, there is some loot here, but it's not that great. You'll find the main loot in the garage, but it's nothing really all that special. As a whole, this one's a pretty cool one to turn into a base if you're more into the aesthetics. The only downside is you will have to remove the previous tenants. If you've got a wrench and you're in need of some quick components, then NC Bus Repair Site is a really good one to visit. It's a tier 2 POI and there are several buses on site that you can break down for some goodies. It is only a tier 2 POI, so it doesn't take very long to clear and there's not a whole lot to see here, but those buses give you plenty of parts.
You'll find the main loot in the largest garage. It's nothing special, but it's worth grabbing. And there is a workbench back here, and depending on your settings, there is a chance for it to be working.
This is one of those POIs that if you happen to stumble across, it's worth going in because it doesn't take long at all to clear it, and you will walk away with a decent amount of materials.
Finishing off, we're going to take a look at Crystal Spin Industrial Laundry.
This is a tier zero POI, and there's quite a few things to break down here because it is a laundry facility, but that's not why I'm showing this one off.
If you make your way through the building, you'll end up coming to a staircase, which you can go down into a pretty impressive bunker. Now, if you've been watching my videos for a while, you'll know how much I like underground facilities, and this is a pretty big one. The walls are nice and strong.
There's not all that much down here, so you can break everything down pretty quickly and turn it into a nice base.
And now that the option is there to turn off the zombie digging mechanic, you'll be pretty safe down here. Before we finish off the video, you may have noticed some random numbers and letters popping up on the screen throughout the video. There's a reason for that. The FunPimps gave me a Steam code for a copy of 7 Days to Die, and I wanted to do a little fun treasure hunt giveaway. The numbers and letters do pop up in order, but some of them don't stay on the screen for very long. The first person to get the whole code and go and redeem it gets the game. Now, I know a lot of you watching this will probably already have the game, but if you've got a friend or a loved one, or even somebody you hate that might like a copy, there's a code out there. But that's going to be it for this one.
Thank you very much for watching. I do really appreciate it, and I hope everybody has a really nice day, except for Skills and Al. I hope you guys end up with an itch that you just can't scratch.
