When designing monitor lizard enclosures, key considerations include providing adequate water features for swimming, using coarse sand substrate instead of Okchobee mud to prevent staining, incorporating heat boxes with temperature gradients for egg-laying females, and selecting species based on enclosure size and temperament; monitor lizards are unique among reptiles because females can reproduce through parthenogenesis, producing male offspring without male contact.

>> Oh my god.
>> Golly, >> he's a buddy.
>> Look at the belly.
>> Look at the belly on that.
>> Their nickname is a children's monitor.
This looks like a cobra.
>> Look at how beautiful that is.
>> Love the scratch.
>> You like your butt scratch, >> dude. That's epic, dude. What a >> This is so cool.
>> What is going on, crows? Welcome back to another video. Today's video is actually sponsored by Chime. I just wanted to tell you guys before we get into that that this enclosure has been absolutely insane. If you watched the last couple episodes, we've been really putting this thing together because we're getting a monitor. The largest reptile I have ever got in my entire life very soon. This enclosure's got to get done first. But today, we visited one of my friend Jerry Wolf's property. It's massive and it's full of a bunch of large reptiles. This is going to give us inspiration. It's going to see what kind of species of monitor we want to get. This is a necessity of a trip before we finish this enclosure. And that is our plan today. visiting one of the craziest backyards full of monitors here in South Florida. I'm excited right after today's video sponsor, Chime, we're getting into it. Today's video is sponsored by Chime.
And I actually want to take a second on this one because it it actually surprised me. I'll be honest, I was never really worried about where my money was at. Just figured it was in a bank account. Assumed that was how it worked, but turns out I was leaving a serious amount of money on the table every single month. Chime is America's number one choice for banking. And once I looked at what they offered, I I understood why Chime actually gives you 5% cash back on a category of your choice. Groceries, gas, travel, you kind of just pick what fits your life. And then every single month, you could change that category. For me, I picked gas. If you've watched this channel for quite some time, well, you know, all we do to make these videos to get animals, whatever it may be. For instance, I'm at a convention right now, and look at the license plate. That doesn't say Vegas.
And that's where we are. That is a lot of gas and I'm spending the money anyway. That's real money back from purchases I was already making. You know, most people hear APY and they're just like, "Oh, good." Let me just put this in real terms for you. If you have $10,000 in an actual savings account at a.39% APY, you're going to earn about $39 a year on that. If you had that same exact $10,000 in a Chimes high yield savings account at 3.75%.
Well, guess how much you're going to earn? That's right, $375.
To put that in perspective, you would earn in just over a month where it would take an entire year in a regular savings account. The automation is really what stuck with me. Turn on roundups cuz when you go and get like a water like this, have the extra couple cents every single purchase from a coffee, water, whatever it is. Let's say this is a $1.75. The extra 25 cents is going to go into an account automatically. That's the roundups account. And it'll slowly stack up. You can actually set up a percentage of every single paycheck to go into the account as well. So, the moment you get paid, that percentage gets cut right out into that account. You set it once, you never have to set it again. You can always turn it off. Your money will literally grow while you sleep. As a matter of fact, my money is making interest as I'm filming this. No monthly fee, no minimum balance, no overdraft fees. Plus, you can get your paycheck up to 2 days early with direct deposits.
And don't worry, your funds are FDIC insured through Chime's bank partners, so your money is secured. Less than 82% of Americans don't have a high yield savings account. And if that's you, this is literally your sign right now. Now, when you open up a new Chime checking account through my link in the description down below, you can get a $200 bonus with qualifying direct deposits. It is the very first link in the description down below. You cannot miss it. And to make it even easier, there's a QR code in the screen that's going to take you exactly where you need to go and it only takes a couple minutes to set up. Make the dang switch. I wish I started earning on my money a lot sooner. This is your shot. Down in the description down below, click the link.
Thanks, Ch, for sponsoring today's video.
All right, we're here at Jerry Wolf's house. This is It's first time I've been here actually, as a matter of fact.
Keegan fiance. Kagan. Hey, dude. You got Dang it. Kagan his fiance's here as well. He's over there. Jerry, >> good to see you. Finally, man. I'm getting to see your place. We're getting into the monitor game. So, >> okay.
>> I feel like it was only right we come to the the master himself. He's got all sorts of monitors here.
>> Tons.
>> Yeah. In the back there's just enclosures after enclosures.
>> Absolutely.
>> I remember years ago we went to the other property. We saw a lot of really cool stuff. So, I'm excited to see what we've created here at the new property.
How many acres is this?
>> About five.
>> 5 acres. So, >> and it's 3,800 square ft of outdoor enclosures. We've got an indoor reptile room, the driveway stuff, and sprinkled everywhere, just animals.
>> This is going to be an insane tour, folks. And you're here riding shotgun.
Gio's here, too.
>> Howdy. Howdy.
>> Can't forget about the lizard guy. All right. Remember his screenshot? We made him a lizard. He looked pretty good. And then Ashley's over here by the truck.
>> Hello.
>> So, we kind of brought the whole squad with us today. It's going to be a fun time. There's even a pond up front with some fish we're going to feed. I don't even know where to begin other than I'm just going to follow you.
>> Let's start at the pond and we'll work our way back.
>> All right, let's do it. I searched the entire state.
>> How long did it take you to find this place?
>> Well, I was in a rush. Just a couple months.
>> Yeah, >> but I mean that's what I did day and night. Just scour to try and find a property that worked.
>> Wow.
>> Oh my god.
>> There's 23 koi in the pond.
>> So the bluegill and tilapia, they're going to smack first. Then it kind of draws in the koi. All this all the attention. There's like 23 koiish in here.
>> Oh, this pond's huge.
>> Yeah, it's a monster pond. Like if we had this, dude, I'd have Aeropama.
There's some koifish. You can see them out in the middle.
>> You see glowing.
>> Yeah, they're going to start working their way up to the top.
>> So, the old owners of the house say that the pond is 25 ft deep on that end and around like 19 20 or something on on this end.
>> Um, so this is the shallower side of the pond.
>> Regardless, a lot of fish to feed. As you can see, the koifish are starting to make their way over. Thousands and thousands acres.
>> That's a mondo. We didn't come to see the pond. We came to see giant lizards.
All right, we're starting over here at these enclosures at Jerry Joe. You put these together, don't you?
>> Yeah.
>> Look at this.
>> Call him Hector 2.0.
>> So, this is a Durl's monitor. You know, the babies start with those bright orange heads with the bright yellow stripes, black body.
>> Naturally friendly.
>> Yeah. Their their nickname is a children's monitor.
>> Gosh, what a cool animal. Look at that tail.
>> They love being in their water. We definitely when we go to upgrade these guys, we're going to give them a massive water feature. They love swimming.
>> Oh, them nails, man.
>> Yeah, dude. You got to build You got to build armor for these things, >> dude. They are sharp. Look at that guy.
>> Look at them walking up my arm, >> actually.
>> I love his stripes.
>> I know. He looks like a >> real pretty >> beautiful.
>> They live in the mangroves. They love crabs and shrimp and stuff.
>> They eat like fiddler crabs and stuff.
>> And I believe where they live, they don't have a lot of predators. That's why they're not doing a lot of paladarium.
>> They don't take off running and uh he's trying to burrow.
>> I'm out of here.
>> He's trying to burrow into my arm.
>> Dude, you are cool, bro.
>> I don't think they have that aggression because they don't have a lot of predators where they live.
>> This is sick.
>> That's neat.
>> He is cool.
>> Well, he's chilling.
>> Thanks for vibing with me, buddy.
>> Cool. First monitor.
>> This is uh this is Wolf's World, and today we're going to see a lot of wolves. A lot of a lot of monitors. You have any wolves? No.
>> Whoa. What do we got over here?
>> A young black throat monitor. So, this guy was born December 15th. He is our He's our holdback male. This is Titan, and I've been working on socializing him to make sure he's nice and calm for when he gets to be an adult. We're going to get to go back and meet Onyx, who is our 6ft male. He's He's an absolute tank.
>> We're going to meet Onyx today. 6 foot male. Look at that thing.
>> He's beautiful. Talk about tame. This thing is just vibing. Keeping them full.
That's what I've been doing.
>> Big old big old big old belly.
>> That belly.
>> Look at that belly.
>> It's got nowhere to go.
>> What does this guy eat? What do they eat?
>> So everything. Anything and everything.
Uh yesterday they got rodents. Today they got some lightly uh scrambled eggs, fish. I mean just just everything.
>> It's like it's like the otter. It's like Lola board.
>> Eat anything. Oh yeah. Now we're talking. Look at these enclosures. It's massive back here. We're really entering your homeland now. This is This is Jerry's home right here. So, this is all Adabros, huh?
>> Well, this is not supposed to be Aldabraas. We're building a an enclosure for them out there. This is supposed to be a waterfall, stream, catch basin, stream, and another swimming basin with bridges entering each airlock hallway.
So, this will be an animal interaction area where we can hide prey items and let a large monitor come out here, explore, find food, >> natural enrichment, >> swim, catch fish in the water. Similar to Slinky's enclosure at Camp Kenneth.
>> Yep. Awesome. That is so so cool. Let's go check these tortoises out. There he comes.
>> Hey, >> what's up, buddy? What's your name?
>> Kalúa.
>> Kalúa.
>> Oh my goodness.
>> That is a giant. How old is that?
>> About five. same age as these guys.
>> About 5 years old. He loves the butt.
>> You like your butt scratch.
>> He's doing the tortoise butt dance.
>> Oh yeah, bro. That is so cool.
>> He's a giant. I know. I need to get some of these suckers, bro. What a beautiful walk around.
>> Just walk around the backyard property.
>> Little grass room.
>> So sick. Look, dude. He likes it. How sensitive are their shells?
>> Very part of their >> Yeah, it's part of their whole entire body. I mean, their spine is connected on the inside. So every little thing, they feel it.
>> So when a tortoise gets their shell damaged, it's actually painful.
Absolutely. Yeah.
>> Look at those growth lines, dude. That's how you know this one is growing. Great.
>> Yeah. That's a big girl.
>> See those white lines? It's called a growth line.
>> So redoing the substrate in this enclosure and we intentionally left it out so you could see if you want to show how.
>> Absolutely. We want to see it. Check this out. I remember >> that's sick.
>> And now you know what's cool, Jerry, is last time you built the place out, right? You probably learned so much from the last time you built this to now coming to a new property and building fresh. I can tell you from my experience, my older house, like I learned so much going from there to here.
>> Absolutely. And then doing it again, >> I already have stuff that if I ever had it Yeah. I would change. Yeah.
>> This is an unfinished enclosure. Uh but it gives you a good idea.
>> You got a mesh on the bottom.
>> So the the dirt >> in Okchobee, it has like a high plant material in it and it stains the monitor. So you have a you have a monitor that has beautiful yellow spots and stripes and everything. It stains them. They kind of just look brown. So we're getting rid of the Okachobee mud and switching to a coarse sand in all of the enclosures. So we intentionally >> left this one half done. So you can see how we do concrete floors so nobody could dig out. Y there's poured concrete walls up 2 ft every enclosure and they're obviously poured together >> and three layers of galvanized mesh in the middle of the enclosure for drainage. They don't dig in the middle of their enclosure. Um but tortoise they always corners.
>> This is epic. And then there's your heat box.
>> Yeah, that's the lay box.
>> So So I was going to uh ask you cuz we're building a monitor enclosure. You guys saw the intro of this video. What's the best way preventing a fire as well for me to build my nesting box or heat box, whatever, for the winter time?
Like, so that is a lay box. That's only for eggs for a female.
>> There's a heat. There's a heater in there, though.
>> Because the females will only lay in a certain temperature. If like the dirt is too cold, they won't lay.
>> But the heat right there is what I'm worried about. I don't want to put the heat on wood. Is that why it's on the concrete? I can show you a hide box. I can actually unscrew a hide box and show you how we set it up or look inside of a friendlier monitor's box and show you.
Yeah, cuz I'm excited to be here, not only to see Jerry's collection and everything he has, but I'm going to learn a lot because obviously I'm going to get on a monitor soon. And I just want to make sure that my stuff is not going to light my house on fire.
>> We keep outdoors year round this year.
Pulled our animals inside the reptile room for two nights.
>> It was like 20°.
>> Yeah, we were 26 out here.
>> 26°. That doesn't happen in Florida.
>> But 30 32° we wouldn't have pulled them.
They would stay in their hide boxes.
>> Who's this here? This is Sammy. Right out of Sammy.
>> Look at Sammy. Oh, fired up.
>> You need to get a black dragon.
>> Crazy.
>> How old is a black dragon that big?
>> Oh, man. He's probably going on four.
>> This thing is four years old. Look how big it is. It's giant. If I go under here, look at that belly. That is a big lizard. He's trying to climb his way up.
There he is.
>> And just like that, that uh that that that feeder's gone. That was quick. Nice work there, bud. So, this is Sally.
We're about to walk into the next one.
Now, what what kind of lizard is this one? It's in the box.
>> She's a Sumatran water monitor, which is one of the largest localities.
>> Oh my gosh, look at how fat >> is younger. Goodness.
>> Oh wow.
>> Oh my god.
>> That is a giant.
>> And put it this way, females tend to stay smaller than the males.
>> Yes.
>> So, that's a big lizard.
>> That's important to remember. Yeah.
>> Come on, big girl. Let's use those muscles.
>> Wow, dude. Look at those. Look at those arms. I know that's a tank shoulder thing.
>> We're sitting here just talking trying to figure out what what kind of monitor would be the best bet. What do you think? Honestly, >> a sulfur.
>> Sulfur.
>> You'll see. You're going to see.
>> Yes, absolutely.
>> Just like a puppy train.
>> Mhm.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> That's what I want. I wonder if thing and it comes out and says hello and just wants to sit there.
>> We've got that.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> We're going to see that. That That's what we want to see today.
>> What is this one?
>> Kamingai.
>> Kamingi. Kamingai. Right. Oh, wow.
>> Look at how beautiful that is.
>> It's bright yellow. Dude, these enclosures are just absolutely awesome.
I mean, there's just so many different lizards in each hide box. They're just all chilling. What do we have? Sophia.
Sophia. Who knows? Sophia's sleeping, too.
>> Check out Alexander.
>> Alexander. Oh, dude.
>> Alexander. So, this is the one that I need to get right here.
>> How much you want for Alexander? No, I'm just kidding. Yeah. No. My ultimate goal though with this enclosure, I'm going to build it, make it top notch, and then I'm just going to wait for the right opportunity. Did you want me?
>> I want to wait for one that I can rescue, that I can take in, that someone doesn't need anymore. I'm sure you get a ton of people.
>> The smartest thing.
>> Yeah, that's what I ideally That's what we're going to do.
>> Alexander likes Ashley. Like, hold up.
Alexander's trying to get a nice hug.
>> You can always get a >> He's too a placeholder to interact with.
>> It's you, Ashley.
>> No way.
>> This is awesome, >> dude. What a >> This is so cool.
>> Oh gosh.
>> Here you go.
>> He's going to person.
>> Look at this big guy. He's like a puppy dog.
>> Look at those shoulders, bro. Those muscles.
>> He wants you, B. Going back to Jerry.
>> No, he's not background. Come here, home. Slice.
>> So cool, >> dude. He's so cool.
>> Dude, what a dope animal.
>> Love his pattern.
>> I'll let you kind of walk up on me.
>> Sulfur has like white. They they get rid of the bright yellows and blacks and go more to a muted like cream yellow.
>> Hey, see like that's so sick. I just go outside and hang out with a lizard like this. He'll probably eat Lola though, huh?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, that feels.
>> Is he going in this water?
>> He might take a splash here.
>> Okay, just pass him through. I mean, that animal is absolutely stunning, dude.
>> The babies look insane.
>> It's like a toddler. Take a feed.
>> I was begging for one of these parthos that had hatched cuz so monitors actually they can lay partho eggs which is parthogenesis right is the full name of it. And they can lay a female can lay fertilized eggs without ever being introduced to a male. Those will hatch out as a male. Correct. Almost every time >> which is the opposite of most other reptiles. Wow.
>> Most other reptiles will produce females. Wow. Whereas monitors, if a female monitor swam to a little island in Southeast Asia by herself, then there are no males of her type. She could actually produce her own males and in 2 years >> isn't that insane.
>> Wow.
>> I never knew that.
>> So sick. Me neither. We're learning something new. And so are you watching?
Hopefully. Look at this guy's just still >> flying.
That's how much he likes to >> Yeah. He literally wants to be held so bad. Mhm. I like that one.
>> Sulfur is a good choice.
>> Sulfur baby, >> you're like fall in love with this.
>> Hi, buddy.
>> Adorable.
>> I mean, on out of here, just look at these enclosures.
>> So, in the corner there.
>> Oh, he's albino.
>> He's a T positive albino. So, he still has >> a little bit of a little patterning. He would have less. He's in the middle of a shed. Look how epic these enclosures are. I mean, we're down this pathway, a tunnel pretty much all the way with one exit here and another entry there. And these enclosure just side by side with water right here. I mean, as simple as a twist of a knob, so fill up their water bowl. I love it. You know me. Then we got like the gates. They're nothing like crazy locked. They're just this and then these main gates are locked. It's just so cool seeing the way he's built all this. Even the things that are inside.
Like look at this guy hanging out right here. What's up, dude? But some of the stairs and the different things that I'm looking at, I just think of inspiration cuz when we make this enclosure's interior, the one you saw this morning, we have a lot of ideas to let flow. Like I said, we're here for inspiration as well. And Jerry's got the setup. So tell me a little bit about these. Like why are they diagonal across compared to on the wall like in one giant piece like you know there's got to be a meaning beside the spaced out wood here. So these are the basking shelves for the monitors. Yeah. And I could do natural wood, which would be great if I could source enough wood for all of these enclosures. I mean, technically in Florida, all driftwood is >> it's protected. So, you really not instead of using pressuret treated lumber, which would be the best for outdoors. It's not going to rot outdoors. I don't want them sitting on the chemical and the pressuretreated wood. So, I use white pine 2x4s. Yeah.
>> I space it out with pressuret treated block. And that air flow >> the air flow it can dry out and white pine will last outside if it's not touching the ground and it can dry off properly. So they're white.
>> Brilliant.
>> It's brilliant.
>> I'm going to steal that. We >> also wanted to discuss the the hide boxes. Inside of this hide box on the back half of it >> is one of those 18 by 18 in Zumemed habitat heater.
>> Yeah, we've got one for the tortoises.
They're inexpensive. They're only 40 watts, so they're not going to kill your electric bill.
>> Oh, I see.
>> And there's also one on >> the ground. Huh.
>> So, right on the ground.
>> Really?
>> But but what you notice is there's >> on the roof, too.
>> There's also on the roof, but there's also wood that has no heat map.
>> They choose to stay off if they want.
>> I don't lock my animals in at night.
During uh the winter, we have two layers of flaps separated by an inch and a half of air >> that close off the doorway. We just screw it over the doorway like late fall.
>> Yeah.
>> So then the hide box is technically insulated to some degree, right?
>> Yeah.
>> The the outlets.
>> Yeah. They're right here.
>> There's an upper and lower outlet and they're wired separately. A Wi-Fi switch and all that so we can control from our phones. One controls the lower, one controls the upper. So the lower soon as we get into fall and we get below 65° >> Yeah.
>> the lower one starts kicking on in the afternoon and off in the morning. So smart.
>> So they learn to crave that heat to help digest their food and whatnot. But if they get too warm, they don't have to leave their box. They just move off the heat mat and still stay in their hide box. So we don't have animals walking out in the middle of the night and freezing. They stay in their hide box.
>> I finished my enclosure. I would love for you to come over and just take a look at it. Correct me on anything that might need to be corrected before I get the animal. I think we'll master it, especially coming here and seeing what you've got going on. I did take a picture to show you, but this is what we built so far. It'll be half >> half land, half land, half water, and then the back is the hide box, a giant hide box. But that's where we're building as of right now. So, this will be the door. It's all the obviously the roof and everything is there.
>> This will all be land. So, it's quite the process. Um, the video actually drops by the time this is live. It'll be on YouTube. But, >> okay.
>> Um, you'll be able to go and watch and just maybe text me and correct me on anything. This is the man. This is You need to get all the information because he's got the brain behind it. It's like talking to me about pigs, you I got all the info.
>> I enjoy the problem solving.
>> And that's part of it.
>> Your water feature is going to be a thousand times nicer than what we're using.
>> Yeah, we have plans to do nicer water >> features. It just takes steps.
>> Yeah.
>> Step by step.
>> Yeah. These are incredible enclosures to say the very least. I mean, they're like clearly the animals are chunky. They're very well taken care of. Um and step by step things get improved. You know, this is an insane setup you've got going on.
I'm excited to keep on going. So, this sucker has got babies. Just grab it.
>> I don't want to mess with her.
>> Look at her. She just ate her mice.
>> I come in peace.
>> But I do want to see how big your belly is.
>> Look at that belly.
>> She's getting there.
>> Look at that belly.
>> She's going to drop a monster clutch of eggs here. We'll give her We'll give her one more rodent. What do you think, Georgia?
>> She just ready to go.
>> You got to feed mama. You know, mama's got to eat.
>> Oh yeah. Oh wow. You can do that one.
Oh, >> that is crazy. So, that's the that's the same one as Alexander, but not worked with. We got her from a breeder, so she was never handled from a baby. That's that's the difference.
>> Shows the work you put in.
>> Yeah, we need we need the work put in.
>> She is 19 years old.
>> This is a 19-year-old monitor.
>> Now, you're going to notice her enclosure is set up a little bit differently than some of our others because she is a little older. She needed some help getting up her ramp here. She moves a little slower.
>> She has a staircase, >> but she's still got spunk in her.
>> Look at the stairs. Got some stairs going up the side. This is So, they just said it's from Cam Kennon. This is Kennon's. His name is Pinky. And what the reason the Slinkiest girlfriend it was supposed to be, but I'm guessing Slinky did not get along with her.
>> Yeah, they did not. They did not pair well. Just like human beings, water monitors can say, "Yep, we're not for each other."
>> Yeah, that's exactly what happened. So, now Pinky is living the rest of her life here at Wolf's World, which what a beautiful >> Not a bad retirement.
>> No, not too shabby. She just produced uh five parthogenic babies.
>> Oh, so she found a guy she likes here on her own >> parthogenesis. So she just fertilized eggs inside of her belly on her own.
>> So clearly I didn't exactly understand what the heck was said earlier. She >> completely just lay fertilized eggs without >> This is the most That's the most insane thing ever.
>> This one across the hall can sometimes be just like that other sulfur. Let me reach back.
>> BB, she is definitely more tame. She's Kagan's favorite of the female soul.
>> BB.
I love this whole girl.
>> There we go. Tasty meal.
>> Oh yeah. Almost got me. Super cool.
Another sulfur.
>> Yeah.
>> It's a beautiful lizard. I mean, how old is that one?
>> Four years old.
>> So crazy. There's so many. Look at We just walked down this entire hole.
>> Dude, that is a jumbo chicken. This is monster chicken out. Dude, that thing take you out.
>> Holy rooster. Look at that.
>> No, dude. Clark Norris is dude, >> bro. Can I hug him?
>> Hey, >> Clark.
Holy. That's the strongest chicken I've ever held in my life.
>> That's a huge rooster.
>> Look at the size of this thing, >> dude. That's a nice rooster.
>> Welcome to Chuck Rooster. What is his name?
>> Norris.
>> Chuck Rooster.
>> This is Chuck Rooster. This is Clark Norris here, >> bro. That is the jumbo chicken going.
>> Look at those. Look at the back of the feet. Those spurs mess you up. See >> those spurs?
>> Those will get you.
>> Dude, this is epic, bro. That's a giganto mama.
>> Dude, you need a rooster.
>> I mean, that's that's a mondo chicken.
He's got two shorties in here with him.
>> I know.
>> Yep.
>> Oh, dude. That thing is >> That's got to be 2 feet tall.
>> That is a picture rooster.
>> He's actually there. Wow.
>> The tail and everything.
>> He didn't make the cut.
>> That is a jumbo rooster, guys. That's a big old chicken.
>> That's a rooster in his hand.
>> It's called an indigo jagante. Indigo jagante chicken >> jumbo chicken coop.
>> Yeah, we've got to build I think two more of those because we have some turkeys we're raising up. We would like to raise up a couple turkeys every year.
>> We got quail >> and she's got different >> chicken projects that interested in that.
>> We just got quail. Actually, Gio brought us eight quail and there's a bunch of some of these are the patterns on these are like insane. Look at these guys. The quail eggs. Oh, bunch of quails. All right, so we just walked out that side.
Now, we just looped around, checked out some chickens and quails and stuff, and now we're back onto this side. So, this is a whole another entry point, huh?
>> Mhm. This is crazy the way it's built, like all covered up. I love it. The rock monitors are in here. There's going to be some new species on these last three enclosures coming next week. That's a surprise.
>> You posted it on your channel?
>> Nope, not yet.
>> Oh, >> no, it's not posted yet.
>> It's not posted yet. Yeah. If you guys want to check it out, that's your YouTube, right?
>> Yep. Wolf World, guys. You want to check out what comes in these enclosures, check it out. Now we're in here where the iguanas lie.
>> Tequila.
>> Hey, Tequila.
>> Tequila.
>> Dude, imagine she just starts busting down.
>> That would be epic.
>> Did you notice Gio?
>> Oh, hey, Gio. All right, guys. I've got Godzilla.
>> Frank the Tank Sinatra, bro.
>> Frank the Tank Sinatra. Look at the tail color. See that blue?
>> That's awesome. D I love the puppy tame lizards. Like, I'm actually enjoying myself.
>> This guy comes from Tai Park's Donkey Kong, one of his largest male rhino aiguanas. And that dude's face is like this big. He is a mass.
>> You need to make it out the tide parks.
You've never been there, dude. It's called Iguana Land.
>> No, I should go out there. Y'all want to see Iguana Land? Let me know in the comments. Here's Frank the Tank Sinatra.
>> Is this a Louis eye?
>> Should be a little more.
>> Oh, no. She's totally tucked into a hole. But this is a perfect example of what our laying females.
>> Holy smokes.
>> So, she has a nice tunnel dug and she has a gradient. So, the reason we have the heat mat at the back is she has a gradient of heat to choose from where she wants. And then from top to bottom is a moisture gradient. So she finds the perfect zone where she wants to lay her eggs.
>> The other one on the other side is like, "Yo, what up?" Male falls.
>> That's what I'm just about to say. Yeah, cuz you don't want to have to deal with >> I was just about to say that. I said depending on the gender. Like I want a male. So I need to get a male cuz I don't want to have to do that. Wow. This is a big enclosure. What is in here?
>> There is a male black throat.
>> Oh, he's in there. He's in the heat.
>> But there's an even bigger male a little bit down the hallway.
>> He's in the heat right now. It's a perfect example what we were talking about.
Wa! Look at that.
>> Wo! That's blue.
>> Look at that lizard there, folks. That is gorgeous. I like this one. A white throat. That is gorgeous.
>> Looks exactly.
>> So, this is a locality white throat called a Cape Banded. It really exemplifies the blacks and the whites.
It makes them so much more stark than your typical white throat.
>> Oh yeah, it's time to eat.
>> This one to your right.
>> They know immediately, like right away, they fail that food. Here's the girlfriend. That one.
>> Look at them go. Hey girl.
>> It's just so pretty, dude. It's like white. Absolutely gorgeous.
>> Frosty. What's up, Frosty? So, this is their neighbor. That is a giganto mama.
>> So, these aren't You suggest the monitor over these guys, right? Well, I guess they're all monitors, but you get my point.
>> Water monitor and a blackthroat are neck and neck for me as far as favorites. I really can't pick a favorite. When you go in with Onyx in just a moment, you'll see there's something about that massive block head.
>> Yeah. But we >> I love how wide the head is. But we did build that enclosure with so much water feature.
>> Yeah, you're right. That's a water monitor enclosure for sure.
>> Definitely. So, we'll probably stick to that. Look how big these enclosures.
>> That's good.
>> Oh yeah.
>> Godzilla.
>> Wow. Look at the size of that dude. Oh, he's so >> Oh my god.
>> Golly, >> he's a buddy.
>> Look at the belly.
>> Look at the belly on that.
>> I got to do a picture. Oh, >> that's awesome.
>> It's a lizard.
>> Hey, buddy. Look at the back on that thing, dude. It Look at my hand compared to its back.
>> It's a pancake, bro.
>> So, you you just stay close to the tail so that he can't build up.
>> I went to walk away and I was I felt he's got the skin just realized it was his tail.
>> So, it's their nature to bluff. I mean, I think it's hardwired in them. It's not that he's not tame. I think that just where they're from, they have to bluff.
And that's all they can do. Cuz if a lion ran up to you to eat you, all you're going to do is go raw. And then after that, you might as well just lay there and let it happen because there is no fighting it. So when you walk up to them, they bluff and then they >> we can hold hands.
>> Let you pick them up, do whatever you want.
>> That's crazy. Look at the handhold.
>> The hands are huge.
>> It's literally the size of a hands, >> buddy.
>> I love this guy.
>> Wow. That might be one of the coolest things yet.
>> So one of the comments we get is is about plants. It's like, why don't you plant it out? Why don't you let the grass grow up and stuff like that? Some of them will destroy every plant you put in there. But also, in the winter time, we keep all of our animals out during the winter and we have to do a walk through every night with the flashlights. And if we can't walk the hallway and visually see every corner of the enclosure, then we could lose an animal that night. So, and that's something we have to do every night, sometimes twice a night if it's extremely cold.
>> Oh my gosh, folks, that was sick. Okay, so you got to see the iguanas. a lot of the monitors. We learned a lot of different things about the enclosures and the different species and some crazy facts about them that I didn't even know. Uh, not that I know really know much about these at all, but I'm excited to see what my enclosure becomes now that I have this knowledge. But we're not done yet. We actually have where there's an inside.
>> There is an inside spot. So, it's got our young monitors that we've bred and our snakes.
>> Okay. So, we're not done yet. Let's head inside and see what they've got. Welcome to the snake house.
>> Oh yeah. Oh my god, these gurus are >> Oh yeah. Oh, now Gio's talking. Now Gio, how how much at home do you feel right?
>> I feel right at home.
>> It smells good in here.
>> This is one of our holdback gurus.
>> Look at those things. Wa.
>> These cages are sick. Oh, he's a buddy.
No way.
>> Look at those dude.
>> Ocelot.
>> Ocelot.
>> But these are like bars.
>> You see these little spots? This locality is very well known for those.
>> So it name is Mars Bars.
>> Mars Bars.
is like a puppy dog, dude.
>> Wow. Look down here.
>> Yeah. So, up top are sulfers. Down below are albinos.
>> Albinos down there. Look at that.
>> Look at that, dude. Look at the head.
Gorgeous. So, this is a baby Alexander.
>> Yep. The big one that we had out there.
The baby. Oh, we're talking snakes now, huh?
>> Oh, we're talking.
>> We get right into it.
>> Oh, we are.
>> What's in this thing?
>> So, this is Oh my goodness.
>> Big Tex. Big T is a Texas indigo.
>> Pretty chill. Yeah, he's really chill.
>> This is one of my favorite snakes.
>> I love Tyrion.
>> I know, right?
>> I see you on the other side.
>> Hi, sweetie.
>> Hey. Hey, that is that is a mic, not a rat. I love these labels like this.
We're going to do this at the farm for all the animals outside. At least this specific one. I'm not going to do it for a pig, you know, but so that people that come visit have more information on what you're looking at.
>> Chinese king rat.
>> Chinese king rat. Dude, Jill, this is literally you right here, bro. You got these at home.
>> Here he is.
>> Look at this guy down here, too.

>> Her name is Coconut.
>> Coconut. That's a great name. There you go, Chase.
>> There she is.
>> Now I just turn her head towards >> You notice how in these clips I'm holding the camera, not Oh, dang it, Ty.
Dang it.
>> What are you talking >> now? I got to hold a snake.
>> She's She's pretty good usually.
>> She's chilling, dude.
Hey.
>> Hey, buddy.
>> I love how she got some. See?
>> She likes her home. Can I hold this one?
>> I like that one. I like this one. Look how thick she is. Coconut.
>> Wow.
>> Coconut, >> dude. That's epic, dude. I'm getting a picture for my Snapchat. If you haven't had me on Snapchat at this point, I mean, are you even watching my videos?
>> Loser. I'm not.
>> Yeah, loser. Oh, it's so thick. Look at that thick thick snake right there.
>> Wo! There's another one.
>> So, I'm a big fan of the ball pythons, man. I know they get a lot of flack, but they're such easy snakes, and they're so beautiful.
>> If I ever got a snake for the building, I would definitely get a ball python.
>> Yeah. I just stay off of like what's hot and new. I just stay in my own little world with them and enjoy them.
>> Oh, she's got babies. Want some babies, please? She is a big mama.
>> That's a big mama. You know what's awesome is this snake has babies and it's just like trust us. It's like you know what? He's a good guy. I can feel >> I can I can almost feel the bumps in it.
>> Yeah. No, you don't think it but she's actually >> huge. Pretty giant.
>> Dang. Wo.
>> So they just kind of ball up. Huh?
>> That's gorgeous. Hi, beautiful.
>> Yeah, you can see the all those bumps right there.
>> That's so cool. Wa! Never thought we were getting a snake action today.
>> It smells so good in here.

It does not have pine in it, but what happens is if water, urine, whatever, >> it smells good. Little tip there for you snake lovers. That's some good stuff. It smells good in here. California king snake right here.

>> This is such a classic animal, too.
Like, you think snakes, this is what you think.

>> I was going to say the second you took it out, I was like, this looks like a cobra. Like the sk the scales.
>> Holy strong, dude. Can you get a focus on the the the lines on his face?
