Animals use coloration for survival through three main mechanisms: dietary pigments (flamingos get pink from beta carotene in crustaceans), warning signals (ladybugs' bright colors warn predators of their bitter taste), and camouflage (deer change coat colors seasonally and fawns have spots to blend into dappled sunlight).

Most AMAZING & COLORFUL Animals!Added:
Flamingos are one of nature's most colorful creations.
Few sites on the planet can match a colony of flamingos, displaying a dazzling array of every possible shade of pink.
When they hatch, flamingos are gray, but they quickly blossom thanks to a colorfilled diet. They like to eat a lot of crustaceians and krill that have something called beta carotene. It's the same kind of vitamin that's in carrots that makes carrots orange. It actually changes their feather color to have a pinkish tone to them.
Intense color is the sign of a well-fed bird.
The more they eat, the more pigment is deposited in their plumage.
Turns out your mother was right. You really are what you eat.
Who doesn't love a ladybug? These little insects are cute, colorful, and harmless to humans.
But that bright and cheerful pattern on their wings is actually a warning to hungry birds.
Leave the ladybug alone.
Otherwise, you'll get a mouthful of bitter fluid secreted from its leg joints.
Birds are very visual and when they eat a ladybug and it tastes awful, which it does, that bird thinks that thing was kind of red and had little black spots on it.
I'm never eating anything like that again.
As a result, ladybugs can go about their business without being bothered.
If threatened, ladybugs sometimes play dead until their predator gets the picture.
You might say the pretty ladybug is drop deadad gorgeous.
The colorful dragonfly hovers through the air thanks to a double set of wings and a rainbowike sheen.
Compared to the size of its head, the dragonflyy's eyes are positively gigantic.
>> They have the large eyes because they're predatory and they catch their prey on the wing. So, they literally catch them as they fly around and feed while they're flying.
>> Since dragon flies are also the fastest flying insects on the planet, they have to take in a lot of information with a single glance.
So, the ability to quickly distinguish prey from predator can certainly come in handy.
The majestic red deer is the biggest wild mammal in the United Kingdom.
It measures up to 8 ft long and 4t tall at the shoulder.
It's also very colorful.
In the summertime, it wears a rich red brown coat.
But in the winter, the red deer's colors fade until it's practically indistinguishable from its smaller North American relative, the white-tailed deer.
The white-tailed deer has a grayish brown coat that blends into the landscape.
Its ability to use color to hide in plain sight is called cryptic coloration.
Cryptic coloration benefits baby deer as well.
The offspring of both red deer and white-tailed deer are born with white spots.
This helps them blend into the dappled sunlight in the forest.
Once the babies are old enough to fend for themselves, the spots disappear.
They say a leopard can't change its spots, but that's no problem for a red deer.
