Inside Fadiel Adams Court Case: The PKTT Cop Who Sold Justice for R120 000 and Thulani Nxumalo

[00:00:00]by virtue of his party having appointed him to represent the party in parliament he stays in that address if the party tomorrow says Mr. Adams Vamus he ceases to be a resident in that address.

[00:00:38]Normally in court, lawyers have to work to get their points across. But during this proceeding, the state prosecutor used the accused, in this case, member of parliament, honorable Fadil Adams, to fight his own case. And Fadil sat there and watched as the court produced his own social media posts to tell the court why he does not deserve bail in his own words.

[00:00:59]>> Um, but our judicial system, I have so much faith in nothing. Maybe until I lose a case and then I'll change my mind. Listen, I'm just here to give you a quick update on what is what is what is transpiring at the moment.

[00:01:32]You know, I I I I I remember a movie in the late '90s. I think it was Addison Ford called The Future.

[00:01:44]Yeah, that was that that was smart. But we got nothing. I like the black school or something. Anyway, this is 54 and Randle Adams relation.

[00:02:01]>> The state alleges that Fidil made several videos insulting the police and the justice system. They say he used bad language and made allegations without evidence. They alleged that this goes to show that he has no regard for the law and as such he is a horrible candidate for bail. They also invoked an old court case against him. This case is from 2023 and this is where he was ordered by the equality court to apologize to the city manager of Cape Town for making derogatory comments against him and in that case Fadil simply refused to apologize defying the court order a matter which has now been brought back to haunt him. They also went through how his arrest was a nightmare for the police. They alleged that they informed him multiple times over a week earlier that they are looking for him and he should hand himself over to the police, but they said instead he evaded them and they say he allegedly hid at his home at the parliamentary village because he was under the impression that the PKTT has no access to the parliamentary present.

[00:02:59]They then say the police saw on social media that he was in the present and he was busy with press briefings.

[00:03:05]>> We have an applicant Who knew as early as Saturday the 1st of May if my the 2nd of May of by the way the first was workers day the 2nd of May. Hey there's a war for me.

[00:03:36]He did not stay in his houses.

[00:03:44]Instead, he went and posted video footages for the whole country to know that he can act better than Harrison Ford.

[00:03:59]Harrison Ford was a fugitive from justice in the movie. He says that man ah I'm better than him. He told everybody not that he will a evade he will attempt to evade justice.

[00:04:23]I've already mentioned your worship that he calculated his moves to be always in the parliamentary placing. That is where he was arrested.

[00:04:34]He confirms it because he's labeling under impression that they won't touch me with them.

[00:04:41]Is that not an attempt on its own?

[00:04:46]That is what they said the law said must be established.

[00:04:51]The court order self made confusion.

[00:05:02]He goes on on the video footages and say I'm aware they went to this address, they went to this address, they went to my sister's address. Hey, these people 150 million budget, they can't find me in Cape Town.

[00:05:23]He says that we all listen this morning.

[00:05:29]And then in his bail application, he brings proof of residence that does not carry his name.

[00:05:43]I I went through that document thinking I Mr. Fam's name will be there on the deed.

[00:05:51]H maybe his initial is or his maybe was a witness. Nothing.

[00:05:57]It's the name of his wife.

[00:06:01]The wife he says to this court.

[00:06:05]I was married to her for some time and we got divorced.

[00:06:10]We just remarried.

[00:06:12]But with that history trust that his hair address is mine even though my name is not there.

[00:06:22]And you see this court sitting is actually just a glimpse of what the court is bringing against Fadil. And they're whipping out all of this just to say he must remain in police custody while he goes for trial. And there has been a lot of discourse in regards to Fadil's case. But let us summarize how we got here. And in the previous story, we have covered in detail how Fidel allegedly interfered in the police investigation in regards to the case of late former NC youth league secretary general Cindy Soma. They say he went to the prison where the ink who has been convicted in this case is detained and they say he took statements from him and essentially ran a parallel investigation to that of the PKT team which is not only illegal but it was also an unauthorized move. It was allegedly at his own personal capacity. According to a report by News 24, they say this is not it. They say in court it was revealed that Fidil's investigation on the day did not end with Cindiso's killer. He allegedly also visited another prisoner and former PKT member and this is police officer and we will get back to who Sergeant Lamini is. But first meet an ANC branch leader and one of the reasons why we have the PKT today.

[00:07:33]>> Thank you honorable members the president of the republic in his capacity as the leader of the African National Congress. He visited the era of Guazunatal called Peter Marisburg where um a a member of his political party Mr. Mawinko Kashanamun was killed and after the visit the president then address the gathering that was outside the house and this visit was on the 18th of May 2018.

[00:08:10]In his address to the public, uh the president made announcements that he shall establish or he has given a task to the group of ministers.

[00:08:22]Um and and he's given them assignment that they must come with a solution strategies to intervene with regard to mitigating these incidents of the murders of politicians in the province of Guazunat. Tan Mumalo is a politician from Guanding in Guazunal. He was the instit chairperson of the region in W 12 and he was the chairperson of the community policing forum. He was married to Makus Mumal and they have children together. The family moved to Guding in 2013. The area is partly under the control of the local municipality and partly under the control of a local chief. The chief in this area conducts his role with the aid of Indona. The Induna is Foqua Kenov. So in December 2017, there was a family function at Filok's home. This time, Tan and his family were not there. Days after the function on a Sunday, Tanana's wife, Marquis, was walking on the street on her way from church when he was approached by a man from the area. The man knows her and her husband, and he often saw them at the family functions at Foquake's home. This next part here is very important. The man's name is Telani Lamin. Salani revealed something that would change Makuzi's life forever.

[00:09:34]He told her that the family gathering that her family missed, there were discussions about her husband. Salani told her that there was a group that is being led by Fuoku and the group is plotting to kill her husband. He tipped her that the plan was that after they left the family function on the day, they would find Ingabi waiting for them at home and the Ingabi would shoot and kill her husband. Makosi was very shocked by this. It really did not make sense. Fella is their cousin, a community leader, an indu. Well, it turned out that this is exactly why Felu wanted to kill her husband.

[00:10:14]Trust is an administrator that is responsible for policy, responsible for direction, responsible for guidance.

[00:10:25]But what trust is required to do is to make sure you must administer for the benefit, material welfare and social wellbeing of members and tribes of communities. Those members and tribes are listed in the schedule. You probably already know about the Inguyama trust and as mentioned Tan is a politician and he is a crime fighter and in that capacity he was investigating a criminal syndicate that was selling land and this land is belonging to the community and this land was under the Inguyama trust. The trust is the custodian of large pieces of land which belong to the community in Guazulun. This land is in the care of traditional leaders and in the Gui area this would be the chief and Tani would find out that his cousin the induna was allegedly selling some of this land illegally. Tani started investigating this. A community member by the name of Miss Martini complained to Tani about her land which he had bought from Foake.

[00:11:25]She said this land was allocated to someone else. Tani then approached Fuokuake about this and then shortly after this missini was shot and killed.

[00:11:35]Feloquake was one of the people who was arrested for her murder, but he was released. And then Foquake told not to tell the police that Miss Makatini had lodged a complaint to him about her land, but Tulani refused to lie. He said he would tell the police everything if they wanted him to. And this angered Filuag. He started having suspicions that Tulani might be talking to the police and that according to Tani is the reason why Filok wanted Tulani dead. and Fanani would find it in him to somehow warn Tulani's wife. And while he was busy talking to Makosi on the day, Tulani arrived and he told him to. And Fani knows all of this because he is a close friend of Fog and he too would be accused of Tulani's murder.

[00:12:24]On September 3, 2018, Makosi was at her home with her grandchildren. She was waiting for Tan to come back home. She had just started cooking and they had a visitor at their home who was staying overnight. At around 7:00 p.m., they heard multiple gunshots and a blasting noise on the roof of their home. The gunshots came from the direction of the gate on the front side of their house.

[00:12:45]Marcos immediately ran into a small room with their grandchildren and the guest.

[00:12:49]She switched off the lights and they huddled there and they prayed. They were all terrified and they were crying.

[00:12:55]Makosi tried to call her friends and neighbors Tani Zongu and Sizuma, but they were not answering their phones.

[00:13:01]Soon after the gunfire settled, Tani Zungu were outside the house. They called her to come outside. When she got out, she found her husband lying on the ground. Tani was shot multiple times and he was deceased.

[00:13:20]The police were called and a case of murder was registered. And around this time it was just a few months after the assassination of Cindisoma and this was just a few kilometers away from Cindiso's home in Usum Kool. He was also killed in the same manner. So the Kesan province was under siege especially because politicians were being killed mercilessly and it was getting out of hand. So in 2018 a political toss team known as the PKTT was formed and this team would be assigned to investigate Tulan's murder because he was a politician. So they got to work and then first they found the getaway car which was used in the murder. The car a Toyota Corolla led to the first inab whose name is then they arrested another inab.

[00:14:06]The investigations then led them to the arrest of fellow and then they arrested.

[00:14:11]They arrested friend Langa. They also arrested another gentleman by the name of Kubar and the police believed that this would be the team that was involved in Tulani's murder. However, quickly after their arrest, Felani, his friend Bid, and MZ were released after the statements and confessions revealed that not only were they not involved in the actual murder, but they were also willing to work with the state to nail the two in Gabies and Foqua, who is the mastermind. So, told the police that on the day of the murder, he was caught by Filoka earlier on in the day to drive him around. He said on the day he was already with his friend Bey, so he went with Bey to Fu. They ended up at aisam.

[00:14:51]Shortly after two gentlemen, the inaband and arrived at theam. They went to a corner and they spoke to fellow and then they left. They say foquake was on the phone most of the time when they with him on the day talking to a lot of people and it would emerge that he was talking to at the time. Mi was at an NC meeting with Tulani and he was following Tulani around and he kept talking to Floake on the phone updating him of Tulani's movements. When Tulani finally arrived home at around 700 p.m. the two inab and were already waiting for him.

[00:15:28]They shot and killed Tulan.

[00:15:36]They then went to Fukuoki's home to hide the gun. They say they hid the gun behind the chicken's run. They dug a hole to bury it inside. While they were doing this, what they did not realize was that there were two children who were looking at them. After they left, the children told Filake's mother. She went and dug the gun out and she panicked. She called the police and then she called Filugu. At the time, Filake was still at theam. He told Thani and Bey to drive with him straight to his home. On the way he was panicking and this is when he confessed to Tani that he had just asked the two in Gabbies to shoot and kill Tulani and they made a mistake. He said they hid the gun at his home and that his mother found the gun and she called the police which is now a big problem because they needed to rush to get there before the police. And this is how Talani and Bey found out about the murder. And they told this to the police immediately after their arrest.

[00:16:32]And the vision was supported by Mzi who was the sporter and MZ said he was following Tani around because he was told to do so and he was scared of fellow gui Tan and Bi were released after their arrest but Bi was shot and killed just a week after he was released and we will come back to Dan but let's go back to Sergeant Bosamin remember him the PKT police officer who is now in prison yes him So the police released named Z and Bey.

[00:17:16]And then a week later, Bey was killed.

[00:17:18]And in this whole situation, Bey is just friend who was already hanging out with him on that day when Galani was called and told to come and drive Fellow Gu.

[00:17:28]But Miz and Galani are very close to fellow guag. They actually serve in his committee where he is an ind. It is believed that he sees them more like brothers. They know a lot of his secrets. They know his issues with Tulani. And they would later say that Tulani and Foquake buted heads a lot.

[00:17:42]And the main issue here was that Foqua was involved in a lot of corruption and Tulani was a problem to him because he did not want to protect him or lie for him. He wanted to uphold the rule of law and people in the community respected Tulani more. They relied on him and kept reporting issues in the community to him instead of their inauguran.

[00:18:05]These are just some of the issues that he wanted his cousin dead. So after Tani's death, the PKT is investigating the case and Sergeant Lame is one of the investigators. And then in 2020, he was approached by Foake's wife.

[00:18:19]She wanted fellow to be acquitted and they wanted to do this by making sure that evidence disappears and this would make the case weak. She was introduced to Sergeant Rammeni by another police officer Lipton Kelan Gunundlu. At the time, Lipton Kellenov was a retired station commander. Sibil paid a 120,000 rand bribe for this. She paid the money to Sergeant Lamini to make the case go away. She brought the money in a bag and gave it to Sergeant Lamini inside his car. A police vehicle at the Deon Central Police Station in the parking lot of the police station and for some reason Sergeant Lamina was removed from the case just after this. However, he still set his eyes on making sure that the case goes away. He called Dan and told him to withdraw his statement from the case. He told him to remove himself from the case completely because his life was in danger. However, Diana was not moved. He contacted his lawyer and told him about the intimidation and threats. They arranged witness protection for him and this would be a crucial move as he managed to continue with the case. Sergeant Lamini, Lieutenant Col and Sibongil were arrested for this and in a plot twist and fellow's son Linda was also arrested. Remember that Gandra was hidden behind the chicken run while it was taken from Filo's mother before the police arrived on the day of Tani's murder after she called them. And the police could not arrive at the home on time because Filoqua got there first.

[00:19:48]And he removed the SIM card from his mother's phone so that when the police called for directions, they could not get hold of her. So Filake took the gun and somehow his son Linda ended up being the one tasked with getting rid of the gun. Linda took the gun to a friend's house and it was hidden inside a carpet at the friend's house. It is not clear how but the police found it there and they arrested the friend who then told him that the gun was brought by Lindi Lindi Sergeant Lamini and Lieutenant Kanov were found guilty of corruption and defeating the ends of justice. They were sentenced to 17 years in prison just two weeks ago on April 28, 2026.

[00:20:34]comes and goati were also found guilty of Tulani's murder and they currently serving time for this. Sergeant Lamin is said to be serving time at the Westville prison and this is where honorable Fidel Adams was a guest of honor on November 2, 2024 >> today because the South African police services headed by a bunch of alleged criminals as giving the last kick of a dying horse. They apparently have been looking for me since last week.

[00:21:12]They have my email. They have my residential address at parliament.

[00:21:16]They've never approached me because they wanted to arrest me for drama. They wanted they wanted it dramatically. They never got it. We approached the subs through my lawyers and said, "We are willing to hand ourselves over.

[00:21:29]But what are you charging me with?" They wouldn't disclose any information. We asked which court do you plan to take me to? They wouldn't disclose simple information. On this basis, we went to the Cape High Court and the High Court gave us an order yesterday that the s must disclose all of the documentation.

[00:21:43]Now, what we know for a fact is that there's nothing in that document because I've done nothing wrong. The police claimed that Fidel visited the Inkab in the city suitcase first. He visited him in November and then in January the following year he visited Sergeant Dram.

[00:21:57]And if you have not connected the dots yet, one of the many things in common with both cases is that they were categorized as political killings because both men were politicians and both cases were being investigated by the PKT. On the day when he visited Sajent Lammen in prison, Sajent Lamina's case was still on trial. They say Fidel allegedly recorded both men without the presence of their lawyers and without authority from prison officials. He allegedly misrepresented himself to the members of the subs, the metrop police and the prison officials claiming that he was mandated by parliament. The officials then arranged an official escort for him from King Shaga International Airport to the Westville prison and back.

[00:22:40]The applicant in his recent media ates and media briefings does confirm that he indeed requested such exort.

[00:22:50]These will be played in court.

[00:22:56]In the two visits there on the 20th and on the 24th of January 2025, he conducted an interview with Mr. Cibuisa.

[00:23:09]Once more he insisted as before to go in to the prison with his cellular phones as part of his parliamentary duties.

[00:23:21]On the 20th of January 2025, he recorded an interview with Mr. on his cellular phone and left. He arranged to come back.

[00:23:36]He did come back on the 24th of January 2025 after having arranged a member of the Directorate of Priority Crime Investigations, DPC Highs, to come and assist him to interview Mr. He. He met the DPCI member in Westville Prison and insisted that the member records Mr. interview on paper.

[00:24:06]At first, the member was to assist with interpretation in view of the language barrier between Mr. Nangua and the applicant.

[00:24:16]At the end of the said interview, I'm now at 15.8, my apologies. A sworn statement was obtained from Mr. who mentioned his involvement and that of his accused and others in the killing of Mr. Naga.

[00:24:33]The applicant arranged for the said statement to be circulated on social media.

[00:24:40]It was also articled on a Sunday national paper.

[00:24:45]This statement was obtained in the middle of a partly trial matter.

[00:24:52]The interview and obtaining of the said statements were done without the legal representative of Mr. the investigation team and the investigating officer of the case knowing about it or any permission granted to hold such an in >> and as it stands Fadil has denied any wrongdoing here. He says he was on official duty and he says he did report back to parliament on this >> Z matter and advocate ML GABA for the accused Mr. B. Hrix is on record.
