[00:00:42]>> Oh yeah, Lena. I told her to put a message. We wasn't sure um how long a thunderstorm would be and if we'd even have power by the time it made it through. Um a bolt of lightning struck about I don't know 50 yards from the house here. Some tree line right next to the house. And matter of fact, I can see the tree from the porch and all the bark skinned off of it. So maybe that'll make some decent firewood.

[00:01:37]>> She's got 21 pints. Uh we there may be a another 10 pints out there um which would make 31 and that's pretty good. Uh she can use 50 or better in a year. So that you know we'll be a little short this year but I need to do a better job about keeping the uh keeping [snorts] keeping it suckered back a little bit and keeping the bottom leaves off of the ground so the disease doesn't get up on it. I got hit pretty hard with some uh some sort of tomato wilt this year, but uh unfortunately the back garden back there is about played out. The beans have played out. The tomatoes are on the downhill. We might get a little more corn from the corn I planted, but uh man, it just seems like the eight days we were gone, the grass tripled in size.

[00:02:43]>> I mean, it wasn't spicing span clean, but it was decent and I had the watermelons decently clean. But I come back and I I mean, it's almost kind of comical because you can't even hardly see the tiller no more. I told Lo, I said, I'm going to hit some of that grass out there in that garden with some Roundup cuz I I just it'll make it easier to cut when I get >> Should I take them out >> um >> of the water?

[00:04:06]And, uh, she says, "I'm sure you had a fabulous time away at your happy place." We did. It was, uh, a little bit tiring for me, but I I get up early at the beach. It's hard for me to sleep in. So, I was getting up every morning about 5 and I'd go out to the beach about 5:30 to set up the tent. Uh never all the mornings I'd go out there at 5:30. I I never uh got to see the sunrise because uh the smoke haze, which I didn't know it was smoke at the time. I just thought it was a hazy day. I didn't know it was smoke from Canada. Thank you, Canada. Of course, it's bad for them though.

Yes, she did. the Lord mercy that was her first camping trip with us at the at the camper and um Sam's girlfriend Izzy went with us for the whole week and she really helped me with Cece with everything going on. Um she made sure CeCe went out and uh got walked enough and stuff. So, and one day me, just me and Cece walked all the way to the pier and back and she loved it.

[00:06:12]And one day, Lo, I'm sure she's going to interrupt my story, but one day she took CeCe to the bath house and uh put her outside there and clipped her leash onto something, >> the little clips that hold the >> They're not much stronger than a They're not much stronger than a wooden clothesline clip. And I guess she thought that was going to hold CeCe.

[00:06:37]Next thing I know, that dog come running back with the leash. And some [laughter] some strange lady was behind her yelling, "Is that your dog? Is that your dog?" [laughter] I was like, "Well, unfortunately, yeah."

[00:06:48]>> Well, and they asked me when I come out, "Are you looking for your dog?" And I was actually looking at a toad. But they said, "Are you looking for your dog?" I was like, "No, she" They were like, "Oh, well, a little white dog just ran this way." I was like, "Oh, no. Cece got loose." And she said, "Yeah, I tried to chase after her, but she ran back to your husband." I was like, "Okay." And I told him, I said, "She's very like she can't see me leave or she >> I want to tell her so bad. I want to tell her so bad. I don't have a dog, ma'am. Take that dog on." [laughter] >> No, but they were really nice. I explained to them and they like, "Yeah, we get it. We know how some dogs are, especially the little dogs. They're codependent."

[00:07:37]>> Yeah. And I Today I've just been really busy, too. I've exhausted. I worked like 10 hours. I cleaned up quite a bit of stuff. Then I cooked dinner, canned tomatoes, and now I'm here with you guys.

[00:07:49]>> Yeah, I got I'm like Lo. Lo's got every inch of her day for the rest of the week filled out. And I got every inch of my day for the rest of And we really literally mean till Sunday.

[00:08:03]>> Yeah. And Archer's birthday party, he'll be year old. His birthday party Saturday and then my parents are going to be visiting too, which yay. You know, so mom will help me with some stuff, too.

[00:08:16]>> Yeah. I might need a nap Sunday. I'm going to go ahead and put that on the books. So, I don't want anyone complaining.

[00:08:41]>> And Birdie is getting making up for lost time. She loves Joey. Well, he's had to discipline her and train her to stop biting us cuz she just bites for no reason. And so, I mean, she still does it every once in a while.

[00:08:57]>> Yeah. But he's she's got it down to where she hard Well, she did bite me today while I was working. She come and bit the back of my leg. She don't bite it hard. It's just a little She's very mischievous.

[00:09:16]>> Well, we call her Bird Dog. Her name is Birdie, which come from Bert when we all thought she was a boy until we went to go get her fixed. Um, we So, we call her Birdie. Bird Dog, Bertavon. I She's got a tons of names.

[00:09:54]Uh, but I'm as uh the Star Trek movie, I can't remember which Star Trek movie it was, but the good of the many going to outweigh the good of the few out there. And I got a good many things to do [laughter] uh that I got to get done more than the green beans. Might be hating that. Might be hating I didn't I always hate leaving stuff in the garden. I always tell Lo I said Lo I'm going to be feeling terrible in six months if everything's done broke loose and you can't buy food no more.

[00:10:29]I'm be like man I just threw away 15 quarts.

[00:10:32]>> But that's all of us. And we wasted like last night we went to Bojangles and I I hardly ever eat the biscuit that comes with the chicken tenders and I just like man so wasteful. I'm going to just throw away this biscuit. But what am I going to do? I can't give it to anybody.

[00:10:47]I'm sure the flour they use, you ain't throwing away much.

[00:10:50]>> Well, that's why at home if I have leftover food that Cece wouldn't eat, you know, like potatoes, in some countries it would be against the law to even make that biscuit.

[00:11:51]>> Oh man, I won't. [laughter] Mine's of course it's not only you know the heat was pretty bad on mine that those tomatoes they really needed a if you did put one drip tape in the ground up under something that that would have been those tomatoes they really could have used a drip tape.

I am getting my Jimmy Red JT West Jimmy hoping that we're hoping to do what we wanted to do cross up and stay crossed up. It's It's just getting creamed, man. I I'm going to be surprised if there's any left out there.

[00:13:12]And that's the little patch. You guys that follow the channel, you guys know what I'm talking about. And uh I did figure out something on my Hopi that we planted three times this year and three times it didn't come up. Uh maybe a stalk here and there, one or two.

[00:13:33]It's bad seed. And I thought back to how why would it be bad seed? It wasn't but a year old. I mean, I planted I harvested last year. So, here's why it was bad. And I figured this out. I did not have electric fence behind the house last year. And the same thing that's happening to the Jimmy Hopy deer getting it.

[00:13:58]I pulled it off the stalk when it was about 60 to 70% still moisture. I mean, it was still it was just out of the milk and just starting to dry down a little bit. And uh that will affect the germination of it. And it sure did affect the germination. It ain't no good for nothing. Matter of fact, I'm going to take it out of the refrigerator. Uh one reason I'm going to take it out because it's got some avipel on it. And it's I mean, if it's if you can't plant it, you can't grind it. Ain't no need of having it. I do have some in there that may still be okay for cornmeal, but it's not I don't have no hopey anymore that I can trust. I'm going to have to get me a couple of couple of years somewhere and build my seed back up. I did not realize that pulling it off like that would uh affect the germination like it did. But the I'll let you in on a sneak peek. I think every seed that hit the ground of the Hastings that we planted last came up. I mean, it's it's actually too thick, but we'll take it.

[00:15:49]>> Well, and on vacation I actually got Joey in the ocean two days in a row.

[00:15:53]>> Yeah. all the way in. Like we were getting taken out by waves and everything. And then I got scared at one point because we seen Finn, a a big Finn out out further and I was like, "Oh my gosh." And you know, it's hard to get going in that sand unless the un the waves take you back to shore. But when I looked again, >> it was actually two fins. It was dolphins, but they were swimming together, so it looked like a one big fin >> cuz I could usually tell, you know, dolphins are going to have a much smaller fin than any shark that is a threat anyways. And remember, I had just told you that a big great white had been tracked off the coast of Hadress. And I was like, great, here we go. I'm so dumb. I shouldn't have I should have remembered that. But it was fun.

[00:16:42]>> So it was fun. Um >> Yeah. We also was out there one time and there was some fish jumping out of the water. Yeah. And >> I told Lena, I said, "The problem with fish jumping out of the water at the ocean, there ain't no flies around.

[00:16:54]Ain't no dragon flies around." So that the only reason why they jumping out of the water is they evading.

[00:16:59]>> Well, and it's and I told him, well, that could just be a bigger fish trying to get them. Not it's not necessarily a sign of a shark. And speaking of sharks, Pacwoman is on.

I have a set of 10 more rows I was going to plant sunflowers in, but I just I think I'm not I don't believe I'm going to plant them. I just don't think it's just too late in the year. Um I told Sam, plow day, Sam, I need to start planting sunflowers about as soon as I plant my corn. It needs to be way earlier than June or July.

That happens quite a bit. you know, uh, believe me, I'm no big channel by no means, but any channel that starts getting up in views and subscribers, you got people that will copy it. And and it's mostly just it's a bot. It's not It's not like it's an actual John Doe sitting behind a computer and grabbing.

[00:19:17]They got some sort of AI programs that will just reach out and grab those videos and they'll cut them up and make little videos out of them and automatically post them and they ain't got to do nothing. Uh the one on there's one on uh Tik Tok. The whole reason why I started a Tik Tok channel is so I could say, "Hey, he's taking my content." But anyway, long story short, >> that person inverts every video. So the 140 really looks kind of >> messed up. I mean, cuz the engine's on the wrong side of the tractor. I mean, it's just a weird and I think >> it's a weird looking video and it it surprises me. I read lead look through the comments and people are like, "Oh, I love them little tractors." I'm like, "Can you not tell that that tractor is backwards?"

[00:20:10]Most people who know anything about a tractor is going to say, "Oh, something's not right here." But >> they do. They come and then people were commenting on the Facebook, "Hey, where can I do this or where can I get that?"

[00:20:20]And I kind of feel bad for them because they're not going to get no answer.

[00:20:24]>> Yeah. And I went and they post something like at least every day, sometimes several times a day. So, I went back, >> he's using old stuff, too, >> right? I went back three days worth and put a comment. I copied and pasted a comment on every reel there was, but you know, I wasn't going to spend too much time on it. Yeah.

[00:20:40]>> Just so that like at least I know now and I'll keep putting I reported it, but they don't ever do anything about it.

[00:20:46]>> But the long the gist of it is this.

[00:20:49]As long as Facebook does not care where you get your video from as long as you're not getting it from another Facebook channel.

[00:20:58]They don't care if you're getting it from Tik Tok, YouTube.

[00:21:01]>> They're They're not in the business of policing >> YouTube videos. Nor is Tik Tok in the business of policing YouTube videos.

[00:21:10]They police their own videos, but I they don't care. You know, you can tell them, "Hey, it's it's stolen YouTube videos."

[00:21:18]And they're like, "Okay, whatever." Now, if it's stolen Facebook videos, then they care. So that's the problem you have there. And that's why they do that.

[00:21:30]They they crossplatform it because they know that it's going to be real hard to take it down.

[00:21:49]Uh I got a stalk behind the house here that the leaves are just ginormous. But, uh, it had a horn worm on it the whole time I was at the beach cuz [laughter] the top three leaves are eat about half off. I found it and took it off and, uh, disposed of it, but it done done quite a bit of damage. Um, I had actually topped this plant before I left. And the top leaf, I topped it out about that long and by the time I got back, that top leaf was like that. But now it's got a big half moon eat out of it from the hornworm. But yeah, we're going to, you know, that hopefully be a good video next week to do is uh top and sucker a little bit up at the ply field and show that. And uh I did see a fella on Instagram pulling the baca and he was showing how to pull the biker and he and he was right in everything he was saying, but I kept saying to myself, "Man, if you held your Debbaca like that and you tried to string it on a tire, we'd have a problem because uh the key to making time with a automatic stringer like a Tie Master 50 was to keep your end straight in your arms and his ends were all over the place. But, uh, we'll see if I can still pull some. I may have to get Lo to help me film that, so she can follow me along while I do it.

[00:23:42]>> Yeah. I have to let them ferment for two weeks and then uh get the fermentate like the mold off of it and then you let them dry another two weeks.

And so to me, it's really just a a round cupcake and you set your toppings on [cough] it and you're done deal. Uh calling it a donut, I guess technically it is cuz it's round and fried, but uh it is not your uh what I consider a you know yeast donut. It's it's cake batter. And so no, I didn't get a donut. One is of which is the okra, and one is those pepper plants that I started in those little starts that took forever to come up. uh they're doing quite well and so I had to get the grass out from around them and I had to trim the okra back and uh so yeah we we got to get Lo's okra to give her a few.

[00:31:33]>> Yeah, I just once okra starts making out there I have to like be on it, you know, like go check it almost every day and I just I didn't realize where it was at.

[00:31:45]Um, Curtis wants to know, Joey, how much tobacco did y'all use to raise?

[00:31:52]>> Uh, I think the most we ever raised was about 15 acres, but it would go in between 8 to 15 acres about every year.

[00:32:01]And you know, it doesn't sound like a lot, but you [snorts] know, for for the 80s, 15 acres and and say you did about 2,000 pound acre. So now you looking at 30,000 pound and you could get say you averaged a$180 a pound. You're getting close to 60,000 [laughter] there. That's not bad. And $60,000 in 1980 went a long ways.

[00:32:31]Uh, Pacwoman says they have been trying to stop people growing their own food and collecting the seeds. It's getting to the point in some areas they want you to register your backyard garden.

[00:35:40]And she got to sleep with Sam in the camper. She was loving it. She was loving life sleeping with Sam.

[00:35:46]>> The only problem we had, and Brian's still on, Brian may be on here. I don't know. So, my RV is, you know, 32, 3, 4 feet. I I don't remember exactly how much it is, but, you know, it's pretty long. 30 some feet with a slide out. One 15,000 BTU AC. And when it gets up to 96 97 degrees down there, it it doesn't keep up.

[00:36:13]>> Yeah, I know. But it's the full sun the way it's sitting in there. Yeah, it's >> It was in the upper 80s.

[00:36:20]>> But it was getting 91 degrees in the camper.

[00:36:24]>> I know, but we've never had that. Yes, we did. We have. You just don't remember it.

[00:36:53]>> And look, last year I shut our bedroom off. I shut the ice machine off and I did something. Oh, I I pulled the curtains on those bumps >> to try to keep it cool.

[00:37:07]>> And then we didn't have all everybody running in and out either.

[00:37:12]>> Curtis said they have the data on them and you're right, they are the best. the day they are made and it shows that date.

And Pacwoman says if they if people realize how much tax they are actually paying because people forget the tax that was paid on the product before you pay it then on fuel, work, food, car, land and everything in between. Oh yeah, we are multiple multi-ax. Oh yeah, it's tax se. I mean, you know, just say I don't know, say uh that donut at Walmart.

[00:38:07]>> And then uh all the ingredients, then they paid taxes for the building that they're cooking it in. And then you paid taxes when you bought it. Mhm.

[00:38:22]>> Yeah. You bought it from paycheck. So yeah, buying that doughnut at Walmart from the time it made it from there to there, it's probably Yeah, it's probably taxed 10 times.

[00:38:46]>> Yeah, the jelly donuts. They have one.

[00:38:47]so thick I had to take half of it out, >> which I'm surprised. I mean, you know, it's really thick if he took any out cuz usually he'd be like, "Don't short me on my frosting." That's what he would yell to her when cuz they have, you know, they fill it when you order it so it doesn't sit in there long. But, um, they put it on there. She does a little pump thing and it goes in there. So, yeah, she definitely feels her donuts.

[00:39:12]Curtis says, "Um, I'll pay for them if you don't like them. Make sure they were made the day you buy them. Thanks, Curtis. We'll we'll give them a try. And Bonnie says, "Yes, buttercream in the middle is the best."

[00:39:24]>> Yeah, we uh man, I tell you, I you know, I was trying to film little things we did at the beach and I found myself showing, you know, some of the stuff that we've got throughout the year. But that, you know, that was kind of the whole plan, you know, with the bikes and the cooler and different things like that was to help us on our vacation.

[00:39:46]>> Oh, yeah. I mean, all the gadgets came in handy this year.

[00:39:49]>> And the boys, they absolutely it, you know, that's a 75 acre campground. 75 acres, I believe, is what they say.

[00:39:57]>> 75 or 100. It's on up there. And it's a long ways from that RV to the camp store or the RV to the beach. And I mean, it was just so much easier to jump on that little Hosco and go down to Dollar General and get what you need and shoot back on the sidewalk. And uh I did not realize when I made those videos, I was telling Lo when I made those videos, I kind of felt like, well, you know, I just don't know if anybody's going to watch these videos on these bikes because I'm not around people who have them. But there had to be a thousand of them in that campground. Everybody had one. Um, and I just didn't realize how many people have those things. Now, one of them was a brand that's pretty expensive. It's called electric.

[00:40:46]>> I seen mostly those. And it's not electric, but just electric. And uh, I seen a bunch of those, but you know, I thought the hopscot we got looked just as good as theirs. I mean, they did good. And that cool that cooler kept them drinks [snorts] >> like open them up and they almost would get, you know, frost inside the drink. I was scared to get the cooler any [cough and clears throat] colder because I didn't want to bust the cans.

[00:41:13]>> The one time I did not take an electric bike to the pool. Um, and it's cuz we were all going, so, you know, we were going to walk. We weren't going to like just have I wasn't going to take a bike and everybody else walk. But I was coming back by myself because everybody left to go here and there. And I was like, "Well, I'm just going to stay here. We're not doing anything else, you know? I'm not just going to go sit at the camper." And so I go to start my trek back and I got one of the baby floats and my flip-flop broke. So [laughter] then I had one shoe on, one shoe off, and I have to traverse if it's 75 acres, I had to get through half of it. So about 30 acres of um campground. So I was trying to walk through all the green so that my foot wouldn't be burned on the hot asphalt.

[00:42:02]But then I'm thinking of all the dog pee and poop that's in the grass. So I'm trying to walk on the side of my foot and then I have to run across the driveways cuz my foot's burning. It was a mess. I was like, "Oh man, >> Lena went to the pool and >> yeah, speaking of pool, >> I'm gonna let her tell this story because it's her story." But [clears throat and cough] she We're probably going to have to have counseling with preachers. So, >> we are not I [laughter] did I sat there and took this crazy woman's issue. There was some crazy woman. And look, and I know some of our people are from up north. I love y'all. I do. But I'm not used to dealing with the attitudes and the way they talk to people. So, um, I was in the hot tub with Sam and Izzy. We were just having a great old time. And these little kids come running in there.

[00:42:47]And I had to turn the jets on. Is that what it's called? The jets where it bubbles. Yeah.

[00:42:52]>> And the little kid kept jumping out to go shut it off. And I had asked them, "Hey, can you leave that on?" And number And number two, they shouldn't even be in there. You have to be 13 and up to be in a hot tub in North Carolina. But, you know, I wasn't going to go tell on them.

[00:43:04]So, all [clears throat] I did was ask him not to turn it on. And then they get up and leave. Well, some woman comes in there and it's like, "Um, excuse me, ma'am. Were you telling my kids what to do?" And I was like looking like me. I said I said, "Ma'am, I didn't tell them to get out of the hot tub. I just asked them not to turn the the jets off." I said, "And plus they're under 12. They shouldn't even be in here." That is none of your business. Are Aren't you a guest here just like me? And what I should have said, because you always think what to say later, I should have said, "Yes, I am a guest here. and I paid the same amount that you do not to be in the hot tub with little children, you know, but I didn't. So, I just said, "Okay, okay."

[00:43:43]And that's all I said. And she left. And she brought her husband. I guess she thought, you know, she probably does this all the time. And her husband knows to go with her because >> Yeah. But what she call you?

[00:43:52]>> Oh, she called me a Karen. This is the first time in my life I've ever been called a Karen. I'm the biggest people pleaser. Like, oh, that's okay. Don't worry about it. No, I mean, I won't send food back, nothing. and she called me a Karen when she was literally being a Karen to me when I just said, "Hey, don't turn the jets off."

[00:44:12]>> But her spike in her madness when it spiked up, was that when you told her um that they shouldn't be in there because of their age.

[00:44:23]>> Mhm.

[00:44:23]>> That's that that's that.

[00:44:26]>> So, she got mad at me because I told her her kids were breaking the rules. And if I was really a Karen, I would have went to the front office and said, "Hey, there's some underage kids in the hot tub. Can you come kick them out?" I didn't do that, >> you know. I didn't even tell them to leave.

[00:44:41]>> That's that analogy I use [clears throat] when I say you got a pack of dogs and you look throw a big old rock and then one it hits and it barks the loudest.

[00:44:48]>> Well, and Izzy said that she >> truth bomb >> cuz Sam and Izzy were with us. So, I was really glad Sam didn't say nothing because you know how you can get worked up about people saying stuff to me. I was proud of him for not saying anything and getting in a fight with the husband, but um Izzy said that she seemed to get madder when I just was like, "Okay, okay." You know, I didn't that's all I said, >> you know, besides the >> don't start, Sam. But um you know, I just said, "Okay." And because after I tried to tell her what all I did was ask him to not turn off the jets, she went got crazy on me. So I was just like, "Okay, okay. Y'all see I can't take these. I can't take them nowhere. They get in trouble. Break flip flops.

[00:45:32]>> Yeah. So, this vacation I had a lot of stuff going on. I mean, it it wasn't the best one for me personally, but I mean, I enjoyed it. It's better than being at home, yes, but there was a lot of those little issues like that. So, then I'm worried about running into her. I'm like, is she here all week, too? And then I didn't go to the pool the next day cuz I was I don't know what I was doing, but Sam and Izzy did. And they said that they seen them up there at the pool again and that they were drinking and cussing real loud. And I was like, see, they're going to be a problem for somebody else who won't just take it like I did, you know, like somebody else from New Jersey is going to get a hold of them, you know. So, >> but it could have been worse. We could have got all got kicked out of the campground if I would have let, you know, >> Yeah, that would have been something. If I would have let my true blue Hispanic little hot temper type, I could have really, you know, >> Lo come back to the camper. She'd have been like, "We got to leave."

[00:46:30]>> Yeah. [laughter] Yeah. It would have been We've been banned from uh our campground. So, I'm sorry, but I could not let this woman just walk all over me.

[00:46:37]>> We' have just went right on down to uh what's [clears throat] it called? The KOA. No, the new >> Oh, yeah. We would have had to because KOA is too expensive.

[00:46:45]>> They got They got a brand new RV park.

[00:46:48]brand spanking new. I mean, they bulldozer it out. 50 acres of trees and what's it called? Frisco Frisco RV Resort, I believe.

[00:46:57]>> And uh it's down there close to the initialis in case any of you guys that make RV. I did pull in there and the guy was standing out there. I told him, I said, "Man, I I'm staying up here in Camp Patter just want to check you out."

[00:47:10]He said, "Yeah, man. Drive around." And so I drove around and uh he's new. He's uh got about 140 sights in there and right now most of his sights he's using the the millings from a highway for the road and the pad using millings. I think they did run a roller over the millings though.

[00:47:32]Kind of packed them in a little bit and uh as you know he gets income going and things go you know he's probably got 5 million invested already. So but he gets things going he's [clears throat] going to you know plant some more grass and some trees and things like that. So it'll be nice.

I was ready, but >> she just she just she kind of like started my vacation cuz that was on Monday. So, she started the week off wrong. And it was raining that day, so we didn't have much to do but go to the hot tub. And I'm like, you know, if if somebody tells my kids something now, yeah, don't cuss at my kids or don't yell at them, which I did far from neither. I just like, "Hey, bud. Can you leave those jets on?" Cuz I mean, I'm old. I have a legitimate reason to have them on my back. And they're just in there, you know, having fun, probably peeing in it, you know, and I'm just like, "Oh, I wish you'd get out." But I did not tell them to get out.

[00:52:19][clears throat] The funds ain't there for a full rebuild. We're going to pull the engine out, take the intake off, put it on the engine stand, turn it upside down, take the crank out, and I'm either going to have to get another crank.

[00:52:33]This is where I might need some of y'all's opinion.

[00:52:38]Uh, the end of the crankshaft where the pulley harmonic balancer presses onto it, it's just a real tight fit. There's no keyway on it.

[00:52:48]the harmonic balancer spun on it, which spun the crankshaft, spun the inside of the harmonic balancer. So, I either need to uh lathe down the end of the crankshaft and put a press fit back on it to get it back to factory or get another crankshaft. Either way, it's got to come out, which is not the most terriblest thing because it does have three freeze plugs that are leaking. One of them's right behind an engine mount. So you you're not going to get to that one. And uh so we're thinking about just fixing the bottom end, fixing the crank, getting that pulley where it stays on there.

[00:53:30]Obviously, I would put rod main bearings in it and a gasket set to put it back together, but I was planning on not touching the heads, not even cracking them, taking them off, anything. Just literally bottom in, [clears throat] put it back in there. And I know everybody's going to say, "Well, I mean, if you're that far, you might as well rebuild it."

[00:53:49]Yes, but machine shop costs nowadays, you know, to do the heads. And I mean, you can you can have a $2,000 machine shop bill real quick before you even bought the first part.

[00:54:20]Yeah, cuz above all else, I try to remember, you know, you're going to have a testimony even if it's for people you just met and you just try not to get get to their level. And I didn't. Now, you know, if he she was being mean to one of my kids or something, that might would have been different. But the best thing to do sometimes for people like that is just to let it go over you and let them have their temper tantrum and show them that it's not getting them anywhere and just be done with it. And that's what I chose to do. Um Lou says, "Can you grow tomatoes in the fall?" I never done it before, but I thought I would try. I guess if you can, Lou, if you can get them, it's just like anything else. I mean, they'll be fine till it frosts.

[00:55:06]>> Yeah. Lou, one year I got a tomato plant from the farmers market and I didn't have it in with the regular tomatoes.

[00:55:15]So, I put it in the front mulch and that thing grew and grew and it loved that mulch. And I had I was getting tomatoes off of it in October and they were still there and I you know was getting them off but the first frost did kill it.

[00:55:32]>> The thing I have noticed I planted a a a late a second crop of silver queen last year.

[00:55:40]I won't do it this year, but I planted one last year. And you know, it made corn, but it just didn't have a hearty of a stalk as it the early stuff. The stalk seemed like it was a little weak weak in far as being round. The leaves wasn't as broad. Everything about the plant just didn't seem as hearty as the early spring corn. So, I don't, you know, I don't know if the tomato would be the same way or not, but that was my experience with corn.

And you know, like I said, it it's the parts wouldn't be that bad, but it's just the machine shop cost that that's what's going to throw your bill up there. I mean, if you could do a standard rebuild where you could reuse the pistons, just clean everything up, put rings and bearings and seal kits in it. You know, that the parts costwise wouldn't be bad at all. the uh like I said, you know, head job and honing it out and washing the block and bead blasting it, repainting it and you know, all that good stuff. Uh >> be quite a bit.

[00:57:12]>> Joey Neil says, "Take it to a machinist and have them to turn it down and then put a bushing back on it to factory specs."

[00:57:19]>> That's what that's what I was trying to get at, Joey. And that's [clears throat] that's kind of what I was worried about because like I said, factory crank, the harmonic balancer goes on it and they bolt it on. No keyway. It's just a friction fit. Albeit, you know, I guess they're basically about the same size cuz it's, you know, it'll go up. The factory fit is not too tight and it's not too loose. I mean, I think they're both about the same. The guy at the machine shop said that he was going to make the bushing about a thousand smaller than the crank and heat it up, put it on the crank, and then me then uh shave down [cough and clears throat] back to the uh factory size. And my question was to him, I said, you know, since I'm having problems with the harmonic balancer turning inside the crank like that, what's going to keep your bushing from turning? But he seemed to think that the thousandth smaller bushing heated up would adhere it to the crank or that part would never turn.
