So, church yard sales are absolutely the best around my area, and there's a huge one that I'm about to go in. I saw it advertised on Facebook Marketplace, and I'm so excited because it had like I can't even tell y'all how many boxes of different types of vintage dishes for like $10 a box. I don't know, just lots of things that I might be able to use to style in my living room for the summer.
I am here at noon. It started at 8, so I've probably missed out on all the good stuff. I don't know. Let's go see.
What are these little plates or bowls? Oh, they got some chips. Those are cute.
And then are these jade dot plates or they like meant to look like jade? I don't know.

I'm looking more for more so for living room stuff. So, what is this big ashtray?

>> Okay, so I did do my research on this piece and this is actually an antique baby plate. So I guess back then it was made so the baby could like, you know, get their cuz a lot of babies eat with their hands when they first start eating. So they could like scoop it on the side and get it out. I don't know.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what my research told me. It does have something here on the back. It just says semi porcelain. It has that little stamp right there as you can see.
And on the picture here in the front, it looks like two little boys giving a dog a bath. And I just love how it is all stained. It is all crazed. It does have like some wording here along the edge.
And it says baby's plate. So, I don't know why when I was garage selling I didn't notice that, but once I pulled it up, I was like, "Oh, duh." It's right there. It says literally says it says baby's plate. Let me hold it back up there again so y'all can see it at the top.
Yes, this is gorgeous. So, I can't wait to share with y'all how I'm going to use this piece. So beautiful. I'll give y'all a total of everything that I paid at the end because they were getting ready to close and it's one of those things where they're just like, "Show me all you got." and they were doing half price on a lot of it and all the things.
And my total, y'all, was insane. I'll share that with y'all here in just a little while. Let's get back to this yard sale and see what else I find. Tell Elizabeth all of these records. She loves to listen to records.

These are fun. Like just in a I don't know like a little creamer or something. I grab those some pretty silverware there.
Try to get it up here where y'all can see it. I'm looking for living room decor and here I am getting sidetracked with the kitchen stuff. I can't help myself.
Okay, so yes, I did go ahead and grab four of these. Well, three knives and one is like a little serrated spreader.
So, these three little knives right here. I love these. They all say stainless steel and made in Japan. And it's just these little wood handles.
They have these wood handles on them.
And I just absolutely love them. I have a whole knife set, I'll insert a clip of steak knives that I got at a Goodwill one year, and we we use them all the time, like almost every day. So, those were all made in Japan, stainless steel.
And then they had this one. And this one was actually made in USA is what it says on the blade. I forgot where it was.
Okay, it's on this side. Y'all are not going to be able to see that on the blade. It is so tiny, but it that's what it says. It says um made in USA. So, I'm going to get those cleaned up really well and have my husband sharpen them and we will actually be using them because there is no knife that will ever compare, in my opinion, to a vintage knife. Like if you can clean it up and get the the blade sharp, nothing compares. But anyway, okay, let's get back to that yard sale. Browse around a little bit more because I cannot wait to show you once I come upon it the next items that I brought home with me. Let's go. Waxford piece there. It's really pretty. I have one kind of similar to that already, but little coasters are nice.
These are great if you're having like an event, like a baby shower or wedding or something. look at garage sales for that kind of stuff. I think I just spotted the holy grail of Wexford cups.

Look at this whole box of Wexford.
They're the large glasses for $10.

It's less than a dollar a piece.
H. Okay, y'all. Yes, I did. I brought home six of these large Waxford glasses.
I just said the other day when I was either decorating a cabinet over here in my kitchen or something that I was going to be on the hunt for some more of these large Waxford glasses and what do you know it, they're right there at this garage sale. There was that whole box was for sale for $10. I just did not think that I needed 12 of them because I already have about four or five here in my house. So, I chose to just bring home six of them and hopefully somebody else took home the other six. I don't know.
They were selling the whole box, like I said, for 10. But when I went to check out, I said, "I don't want the whole box. I just want like half. What would you charge me?" And they said, "Well, the whole box is half price already anyway, so if you want half of that, like $2 or $2.50. Does that sound good?"
Yes, it does. It really does. So, I got six Wexford glasses for it was either two or $2.50. I honestly can't remember. But there they all are. I am so excited because I love them so much and those do very very well in the dishwasher. So, I'm going to be getting rid of some of my other glasses that are not Wexford and um replacing them with those. I'm so excited. I got to get those washed up. But, let's get back to the yard sale and I'll share with you when I come upon the next find that I brought home.

Last time I found some of these, I had so many people telling me if you find more of these that are wooden, please get them, I'll buy them from you. So, I'm like, should I get these and see if somebody wants to buy them? I don't know, y'all.
I missed out on so much um vintage stuff this morning. what she said. This is a little pampered chef piece. You put it on the end of your a can, I mean on the top of the can and you drain it. That's a good little piece. I'm going to get that from one of my girls.

>> Okay, I did bring home all four of those blue placemats. They look a little brighter blue on camera than they actually are in person because I have the brightness up a little bit. But y'all, at first I was like, "What are these?" I said, "Are these placemats?"
And I I kind of knew that they might be place mats, but I wasn't 100% sure. But these are definitely vintage placemats.
They're like the ones that are, you know, like hard like that, and they have almost like a corkboard back. And I don't think that I'm going to use these as place mats. I think if they will fit, and I'll let y'all know if they do at the end of this video, is I want to use these, weirdly enough, in our guest bathroom. I have a bunch of cubbies that I think if these would fit in there when I do a makeover in there, if these will like slide in there and lean up against the back, it'll give me the blue color in there that I want. Because y'all, I'm try I'm going to leave my blue up when I do fall. And I might I don't know about Christmas, y'all. I get really weird about my Christmas stuff, but it definitely through my fall stuff. So, all of the blue stuff that I'm adding, I'm going to I plan on leaving up through fall also. But yeah, y'all look, they're in perfect condition.
All four of them. Just a beautiful blue color. And hopefully they'll work out for what I want to use them for. If not, I'm sure I'll find a spot for them somewhere. Oh, and I did ask when I was looking at these how much they would charge for these. and they said a dollar. A dollar.
Okay. So, these next two things I'm just going to go ahead and show y'all together. So, I did go ahead and grab the little wooden corn holders here because the last time I showed some of these, everybody was crazy about them. They love them. They were talking about how hard it is to find the wood ones. And I agree. But I did just find this whole bag. How many is actually in here?

Cute, cute, cute. Let me try to get up there where y'all can see. And you just stab them on each end of your corn. You can eat your corn. So, I grabbed that whole bag of those. And then this is another Pampered Chef little kitchen gadget. I actually have one just like this. And so, I got this one. I knew immediately when I saw it what it was.
And what you do is you take this and you put it on top of a can, like a can of green beans or corn or whatever. You put this on top of that can like this. And then you can go over to your sink and you flip it and you can drain the water out. I don't know. Do y'all drain the water out of yours? If we eat canned vegetables, I'm pretty much almost going to always drain whatever liquids in there and I'll do like chicken broth or season it up with, you know, something like that, vegetable broth or something like that, just cuz I think they taste gross in just whatever they're canned in. But yeah, so that's what this is.
And since I already have one, I'm going to give this to one of my daughters.
Probably probably the one that uses the most canned stuff, but anyway. Yeah. So, I got those two little kitchen items there. Now, let's move on down some of these tables a little bit and let me show y'all a very fun find that actually kind of surprised me that I brought home. See what they got over here.

>> The nostalgia from this picture alone, I couldn't leave it. I wanted to bring all of them home, but which one do you think I brought home? So, I brought this one home right here, y'all. I could not I just could not leave this cottage little picture. The rolling pin, the muffins, hello, the birdhouse, the basket. Oh, y'all, I fell in love with this. And I think and I say nostalgia because when I was very young, I got married very young. Our very first home was a single wide mobile home and all I wanted to do was decorate my kitchen. Like I was so excited to decorate my kitchen.
So I've always been like this. I was so excited and somebody cuz we was so like we was so broke. You know how it is when you first get married. You are so broke.
They gave me a whole box of stuff that had apples, like apples all over it. It was like the sponge print green with the apples on it. And I was in heaven. It I was in heaven that I was gifted that whole box of stuff. It's my oven that keeps going off. I'm cooking baked potatoes. I was so excited. So that just brought that back to those just simple times of me decorating my single wine mobile home. Didn't have a worry in the world other than never having enough money. But I was so happy. I was just so happy. Have you ever just thought back to a time like when were you just so happy? Like seriously, those were just some of my happiest times. I was so grateful. Not that I'm not happy now and not grateful now, but you know how sometimes you just want to sit and sometimes say, you know what, life has just gotten so cray cray. The world has just gone nuts. And so when what can I do to bring back some of that peace I used to have?
It was literally back when I lived in my single mobile home, y'all, and had nothing hardly. So, I don't I don't know why I went down that rabbit hole. But anyway, that's what the the little apples definitely reminded me of. Just my very first kitchen. And I was even back then trying to decorate in like a country kitchen style with my sponge print green apple canisters and all the things. So, anyway, I just love that.
So, I brought this home and I think I might try to put this in my dining room somewhere. I don't really know where I'm going to put it, y'all. For all of y'all that say, "Why are you thrifting? You have enough junk?" I KNOW. I KNOW. I do. But I just Here I am. Okay. I got one more thing to show y'all. So, let's get back to this yard sale so I can see what else I don't need to bring home. Let's go.

>> Okay. And this one, it's really not my fault that I purchased this. It was just sitting right up there at the table near checkout. And how could I not? Because wait until y'all see what it is. Yes, I absolutely brought home this false graph little coffee mug. I guess y'all know I've been collecting this print right here. And if you don't know, I've been collecting this print to just kind of scatter throughout my kitchen.
It was just sitting there. There's the stamp on the bottom. Love it. I think I'm going to hang this off of my coffee bar area because I bought the little creamer at the antique store that matches this print.
So, of course, I had to get it. Of course, I had to get it, y'all. And I probably won't use it to drink out of.
I'll just use it to hang up and look pretty. I don't know. That's what I plan to do with it. I mean, I could drink out of it. It actually feels really nice, you know, in my hands. It's just not big enough. I mean, I need more coffee than that. This was an amazing churchwide yard sale that had so much vintage. And I'm sure they had a tons more that I missed out on because I didn't get there until lunch. But I am super excited for everything that I was able to bring home. I cannot wait to get it all washed up, get it all styled. That's what tomorrow's video is going to be all about. It is going to be washing, cleaning up, and styling a lot of the thrifted pieces that I've been picking up lately. I have a couple items that I want to get in place that I've showed y'all in some previous hauls here over the last week or so. So, yeah, I'm so excited about that.
