Egypt STAGES 40,000 Troops on ISRAEL’S BORDER, Raises Level to High Alert

[00:00:00]Egypt is preparing for war. They've amassed 40,000 troops along Israel's southern border. They've moved hundreds of tanks. They have fighter jets positioned to provide air cover. And they have a very advanced air defense system deployed. They've even built underground bunkers along the border that may possibly store ballistic [music] missiles. All of this is made more concerning by the fact that Egyptian officials have begun openly threatening Israel with direct military action.

[00:00:28]Those who know their history know that Egypt has made all of these moves before and it is very [music] concerning. I'm Ben Hilton and this is the Israel guys.

[00:00:38]Egypt started amassing troops in the Sinai shortly after October 7th in 2023.

[00:00:45]This buildup was later denounced by Israel who demanded that the US intervene. But despite the request from Israel, so far it looks like the US government hasn't taken any public steps to hinder the buildup. Since 1978, Israel and Egypt have had a peace agreement mediated by America. Part of that agreement included Israel returning the Sinai to Egypt. In exchange, Egypt agreed to limit its military presence in the Sinai. [music] Generally speaking, this agreement has worked quite well. In previous years, when Egypt had good reason to build up their forces in the Sinai, such as when they were battling ISIS, they completed the buildup in cooperation with Israel and with Israel's permission. But over the last few years, no such request has been issued by Egypt, and Israel hasn't issued any such permission. Since Israel's modern inception, Egypt has led the charge of Arab attacks. This first happened in 1948 and despite Egypt having a massively superior force, they were defeated by Israel. So Egypt waited and rebuilt, then tried again in 1967.

[00:01:55]Again, they were defeated by Israel.

[00:01:56]Then 6 years later, they attacked Israel yet again on Yumipur, this time with full surprise. Israel's south was quickly overrun and Egyptian tanks pushed toward Tel Aviv. The threat was so severe that Israel's defense minister had a mental breakdown and Prime Minister Golden considered suicide.

[00:02:16]Thankfully, it never came to that. It was God's mercy and timely help from the United States that finally allowed Israel to push back and encircle the Egyptian army, forcing their surrender.

[00:02:28]Yet again, Egypt was humiliated. Then to add insult to injury, the Egyptian president on Merced signed a peace agreement with Israel. This was done largely in order for Egypt to regain the Sinai which Israel had captured in the war. The agreement didn't land well with the Egyptian public and uh Sadat was assassinated by his own men shortly afterward. And the same anti-Israel sentiment continues in Egypt today, although it is usually kept below the surface. And that brings us to today, several decades later. Yes, peace has technically existed between Israel and Egypt. We've gone almost 50 years without Egypt attacking or invading Israel. But that being said, Egyptians haven't forgotten the humiliating defeats by Israel, which is possibly why Egypt is currently building up their forces in the Sinai. And their strategy might be very simple. Build up their forces under the guise of excuses. Then when Israel's guard is down or occupied on other fronts, launch a surprise attack that would overwhelm Israel's defenses in a matter of hours. And this isn't so far-fetched as it might sound.

[00:03:42]Thousands of troops have been pouring into the Sinai. Hundreds of tanks and troop carriers. They've been building air strips, installing missile launchers and bunkers. Now, Egypt says this is to prevent a mass exodus of refugees from fleeing from Kamas and Gaza uh into Egypt. But the military buildup is magnitudes of order disproportionate uh to the threat of Gazins actually crossing [music] in to Egypt. Actually on the topic of Gaza, Egypt has been taking covert steps there to also undermine Israel. Recently, Egyptian teams have been smuggling weapons to Kamas in massive numbers via drones over the southern border. [music] Also, don't forget that when Israel took Rafak in the war with Kamas, they discovered a dozens of tunnels big enough to drive a truck through leading directly in to Gaza. This is largely how Kamas has been so wellarmed and equipped. They were receiving arms and munitions directly from the Egyptian military, driven through tunnels in to Gaza. If Israel and Egypt were to actually go to war today, what would that look like militarily? [music] Egypt's military personnel, reserves, and active combined actually outnumber Israel two to one. Egypt has almost twice the amount of aircraft in their arsenal and three times the amount of tanks that they could put into action.

[00:05:05]Egypt isn't the same force that Israel faced in 1948, 67,73, etc. In those wars, they were dangerous. Now, they are extremely dangerous. To make things worse, Israel is still fighting on seven other fronts. What are the odds that Egypt takes advantage of Israel's trust in the peace treaty to launch a surprise attack overwhelming Israel's defense?

[00:05:30]And what if they launch that attack when the bulk of Israel's air force is hours away over Tehran and most of Israel's reserves are stationed in Lebanon? And as crazy as that might sound, Egypt has begun to publicly float the idea of open conflict with Israel. Yet [music] again, after Israel's strikes on Qatar a few months ago, Egypt's president Al-Sisi said in a statement aimed directly at the Israeli people uh that Netanyao was endangering the peace agreement with Egypt and making further normalization with the two countries impossible. Also, other Egyptian officials have begun openly discussing the possibility of forming a joint Arab military force to respond to Israel's uh quote unquote aggression in the region.

[00:06:16]In regard to Egypt's military buildup, one Israeli official said in a statement to Axios that direct talks with the Egyptians were showing no progress. He also said that what the Egyptians were doing is very serious and Israel is very concerned. Hopefully none of this will happen obviously and I also really hope that Israel's military command has plans and backup plans for a scenario just like this. And thankfully it does seem like they are very much aware of the threat. Just a few months ago, BB NO actually began asking President Trump to pressure Egypt into scaling down their military presence in the Sinai as the buildup is in direct violation to the peace agreement signed in 79. [music] The US is the guarantor of this agreement. So theoretically, it would be Trump's responsibility to pressure Egypt into upholding their side of the agreement. All of these are things to pray about for sure. Israel is a very tiny country and there are only so many ways that they can physically divide their attention geographically and militarily. But we do have to remember that God is Israel's defense. And uh if we put our trust in him and if Israel puts their trust in him, numbers and odds literally mean nothing. Honestly, I'd like to know what you think. Does Egypt actually pose a credible threat to the state of Israel, or uh do they have solid interest in maintaining their current peace agreement?
