I prepare a cup of matcha to start my day.
I'll continue writing my novel this week for the Bungakukai Newcomer's Prize.
After I finish this, I'll get ready and head to Starbucks.
It's raining quite a bit.
I ordered an almond milk cafe misto.
Shall I write it down?
I might not have as much time as I thought until the deadline of September 30th.
We're now halfway to our goal of 20,000 characters.
I'm heading to Shibuya to read "When the Solitaire Man Was Around."
The protagonist's narration creates a unique rhythm.
Yes, I like the atmosphere.
I will continue reading 'U&I' as well.
I said I would write an essay about Updike, but then I came across a list of his works that I hadn't even read five pages of.
Actually, I've read fewer books all the way through... I'm off to work.

I will also continue preparing my next book review essay.
I will write about Guadalupe Nettel's "The Only Daughter."
I read a little bit before going to bed.
The point is that by imagining it turning to ashes, the real Kinkaku-ji Temple comes to match the beauty of the image in one's mind.
I'm tired after a long day, I'm going to sleep.
good night good morning I'll be working on my writing at home, so I'll prepare some coffee.
I'd like to finish the first draft by the end of June.
I haven't reread it at all, so the first half is probably pretty terrible.
I'm starting to write a novel.
It's like I'm writing while feeling a bit uncertain about the act of writing itself.
I only managed to write about 200 characters.
I'm going to continue reading "When Uncle Solitaire Was Around."
The scene where Runa plays solitaire while having a cold is quite memorable.
It seems like it's finally coming to an end, but I still feel like I haven't quite grasped it yet.
I'll switch books and read for about 30 minutes.
Although there are annotations, there are many proper nouns, making it difficult to understand smoothly.
I'll get ready and go to work.
thank you for your hard work I came out for a drink because I have the day off tomorrow.
Since it's spring, firefly squid So I'll take it easy tonight.
good morning Today marks the end of April.
I'm happy that May has Golden Week, but it looks like it's going to be busy.
Let's make a list of things we want to do during our time off.
I'm heading to Starbucks.
I ordered an almond milk cafe misto.
I will continue writing with the aim of winning the Bungakukai Newcomer's Prize.
I managed to write more than I did in March.
Let's be happy that we are making progress, even if it's slowly.
Get one more coffee It's my morning reading time.
I have finished reading "When Uncle Solitaire Was Around," I'm going to read "Drop," which received an honorable mention in a newcomer's award.
How should we interpret the narrator teacher, Candy, and past memories?
I'll switch books and do a bit more reading.
Well, I'm off to work.
I'm home It was a little chilly, so we had hot pot for dinner.
I'll enjoy having this It's almost 11 PM because we had a late dinner.
I start my evenings by writing in my journal.
I'm writing a little bit about April, which ended without me achieving my goals.
I read a little of "The Temple of the Golden Pavilion" before going to bed.
Describing and expressing only the mosquito net is a good approach.
I was also curious about the concept of the inner and outer aspects of a person.
I can feel the depth of the writing.
good night good morning May starts today, let's work hard with new goals!
I'm going to do my morning routine at home, so I'll prepare some coffee.
This month, I want to get 6,000 characters of my manuscript for the Bungakukai Newcomer's Prize into writing.
So, I'll start writing.
It's still turned into a very descriptive piece of writing.
Still, we made a little progress.
I will continue reading Bungakukai.
The conversation among the girls turned to a girls' get-together, and the topic was who would be the best match for the school's most handsome guy.
It's still hard to predict how things will unfold.
I'll continue reading "U&I" as well.
I think I've found some clues to writing about the connection between my work and my own life.
I'm off to work.
Work's over! Golden Week has begun!
I'm home We're having a yakitori party tonight!
I'll enjoy having this To make the upcoming long weekend a meaningful one, I'll limit myself to just two bottles of alcohol and enjoy myself.
This is a review of my reading for this week.
This time, I'll be talking about "When the Solitaire Man Was Around," a book I finished reading this week.
I'd like to talk about it for a little while.
This novel is about a man who works for a company that manufactures miso.
The story unfolds with 32-year-old Luna as the narrator.
Then, one day, someone who had retired from the same company passed away.
Runa will attend the wake.
The person who passed away was the one Runa secretly called "Solitaire Uncle."
After that, a series of small events unfold in everyday life.
This is the main flow of the story.
So, there is an event called death at the beginning, The story as a whole doesn't really have any major incidents, It's a work that depicts everyday life in a calm yet meticulous manner.
It was pretty much my favorite type of novel.
What I found most impressive was definitely the narrator Luna's introspective way of speaking.
I guess you could say I'm honest about the events that happen in everyday life.
With a straightforward and clear perspective I liked the way they faced each other while reading it.
Yes, I felt something right from the start of reading.
I had the feeling that I could easily immerse myself in the novel.
I had the feeling that it was simply a very enjoyable read.
So, yes, this is what makes a good novel.
It was a work that made me feel that way as well.
Yes, that's right. That concludes this week's reading review.
Thank you for watching until the very end this week!
