The Rick Chow case, where a South Carolina gas station owner and his son shot and killed a 14-year-old boy who they accused of stealing a water bottle, resulted in a not guilty verdict for murder, raising questions about the justice system's ability to deliver justice, particularly regarding racial profiling and the prosecution's decision to only charge with first-degree murder without offering manslaughter as an alternative.

Oh, shoot. Can y'all hear me? I forgot to do a mic check. Can y'all hear me?
Drop a one. If y'all um can hear me, drop a one. I feel like y'all can, but y'all know it is unusual for me to come back a third time, okay? Because I already did two live streams today. Uh one was on the Carmelo Anthony uh day one jury selection. uh coverage. And then I also did a live stream on regarding the situation that occurred in 2023 with uh the Asian guy Rick Chow who is the owner of was the owner of a Shell gas station who chased down along with his son Andy Chow a 14year-old kid who they believed stole a water bottle from their gas station chased him approximately 130 yards hearts and then unaliven with a pew pew. Just a few moments ago, he was found not guilty of murders.
Yes. When I tell you I just had to come live to let you guys know what the result was because we just talked about it this morning. And when I tell you that I am beyond I'm beyond disappointed. I cannot believe. See, this is what I'm This is what um and I'm, you know, I'm not going to say I'm glad this happened, but this is the perfect example of how the justice system does not always get it right. Let me go ahead and pull this up really quick to show you guys the reading of the verdict. Um, shout out to Mrs. Jefferson says a a channel that I follow here on um on uh YouTube uh where she was live streaming the uh verdict. Let me go ahead and pull it up. Um I I I can't believe it. I'm in I'm in shock. Let me I don't know if you guys have been following the case, but I am in complete shock and disbelief that this man got away basically got away with murder.
Chased this boy down him and his son 130 yard because they believe that he was that he had stolen a bottle of water, a 14year-old child. And this is what I mean when I say that just because the law or the justice system says that something is right or just because a jury votes a certain way does not mean that justice has been served. In this particular case, they got it wrong. And I'm not trying to incite anything. I'm not trying to put any ideas out there, but I what I will say is that I'm wondering what the community out there in Columbia, South Car Carolina is going to do and what their reaction is going to be. Because all I'm saying is if justice was miscarried to that degree where I'm from, it would be chaos. It would be chaos.
Let me show the reading of the verdict >> because whatever it was that they needed to see >> was the curtain.
>> Thank you.
>> Oh my the curtains positive. Sorry. Or do I need to turn the other lights off?
>> As to the charge of her. Yes.
>> Okay.
All right, madam sir, will you please?
>> Yes, sir.
>> So, the judge just read the verdict.
>> Okay.
>> Indictment number two.
>> I'mma pause this really quick. They're getting ready to read the verdict. Um, and you will hear Cyrus's mother in the in the uh gallery back there in the courtroom um bawling, crying because at this point now her son has died in vain at this point. I'm I'm just blown away. I'mma go ahead and play it y'all, but I'm very upset about about this. 2023 GS407440, State of South Carolina, County of Richland versus CK Rick Chow. We the jury unanimously find the defendant CK Rick Chow as to the charge of murder not guilty. Sign number 302 for person June the 1st, 2026. It ain't no way in the world that this man should be walking free.
Is no way in the world that this man should be walking free. The the state or the prosecution had to show that this man took this boy's life in malice. He did not have to do it. It was not self-defense. I have no idea how the jury reached that verdict when he chased not only and I'm not even going to say it would even matter if the young man stole the water or not because that wouldn't even matter. Even if he did steal the 98 cent bottle of water, it's still not worth his life. But the fact that he literally didn't even steal what justice is going to be given to this family.
That's what I'm y'all. I'm telling y'all. And I and I know y'all probably be listening to me like, "Oh, I'm from I'm from the southern states. I'm from the south." I'm not trying to downgrade or uh or downtalk anybody from any of these southern states. All I'm going say is that in a lot of these southern states, they are very very racist.
And a lot of these things, a lot in a lot of these cases that I'm starting to look at and pay attention to. In a lot of these cases, race does play a factor.
And when I say it plays a factor, it definitely depends on what color you are, depending on whether or not you'll get justice and depending on whether or not you'll go to prison and serve uh the sentence that you deserve. It's just no way in the world this that this man and his son chased down this 14year-old kid unal alived him said he stole water chased the boy was running away from them chased him down and he was found not guilty. Now I think now now there was one thing that I think uh could have been a reason that negatively affected this case. One of them is that there was only one charge. There was only one thing that the prosecution was was uh willing to uh to um work with here in this case and that was the charge of firstdegree unalivvening.
Um, I think that if the options were broader, he would have served been found guilty for something, but there was nothing else on the table in this case other than murder. But if they would have had manslaughter on the table or something else, I'm sure he would have gotten time. And I think that they thought that that would make uh the possibility of him being convicted stronger. But it looks like because of that stipulation, he got off with murder because uh y'all, I'm just so disappointed. Like, I just can't believe it. And you know what? I don't even know why I'm so shocked and appalled and can't believe it because at the end of the day, you know, th this is a country in where in which we're used to misjust mis uh miscarriages of justice. That's something that we're used to. We watch coldblooded unalivers get off with uh taking the lives of young black people all the time. Look at the Trayvon Martin case. Another coldblooded killing. Um and that person uh was able to get off with taking that person's life. We've seen so many um and you know a lot of people say everything is not about race and that's true. Everything is not about race but it is what it is y'all. You got to look at this the way it is. It's just not making sense. Even in uh situations where you have these Caucasian people that commit these heinous, disgusting, anim animalistic ass crimes against their own children. If you remember the case of uh Casey Anthony where she unalived her own, this was in a southern state. Again, I think this was in the state of Florida. Unalized her own daughter. Everybody knows that she did it. She was guilty of sin, but she walked free.
A lot of these southern states are racist. They don't care. They just don't care. The the case of if you got and I'mma get back to this video. So, you do you all remember the case? Uh, it's uh what's the they made a a special um like a docu docu series or something out of it on Netflix about the Caucasian woman that was living in like a predominantly it looked like a predominantly black neighborhood in Florida. I believe it was in Florida. A woman came and knocked on her door and she pew pew the woman through her door. Yeah, she ended up going to prison, but she was out for a while. They didn't immediately want to uh charge her with anything, you know. So, it's just this is just Let me look at some of the comments, y'all.
I'm just completely disgusted. It just does. It seemed like it don't matter how many times this type of thing happens in the United States of America. When it comes to the legal system, it always blows me away that these people could look these victims families in the face and completely disregard what happened to their family member. To me, it is crazy work. That's crazy work.
Mom in the gallery crying. I just I can't believe it. Let me let me look at some of these comments.
Um, but before I look at the comments, let me say this, too. I'm just I am blown away.
I I just knew this morning when I went live, I was so confident that this guy was going to get 30 to life. Like, I was completely confident. I felt like there was absolutely no question. There was no question. This is open and shut.
So, I'm I'm just still trying to process how they found him not guilty. I'm going to be keeping my eye on the news. I'm going to be watching Court TV, CNN, and a lot of times they have the jurors come uh and sit down in interviews and talk about how they reached that verdict. I would love to hear how, you know, I I would just love to hear how they reach that. This is insane.
That is insane.
They gonna have to explain that one. I don't understand that.
Her 5366 says, "Stop spending your money with these people." I really hope that this case spans over uh I hope this this this verdict blows up everywhere. I hope everybody is outraged about this verdict. I hope everybody is going to talk about this verdict because this is a huge mis miscarriage of justice. him and his son hunted that boy down, chased him 130 feet, and then to say that his intention wasn't to unalive him. Why are you chasing him to get a bottle of water with a weapon? How's your intention not to unal alive him, but you're chasing him down him down with a weapon?
130 ft. You ran 130 ft for a a potential possible bottle of water.
This is what what I what I mean when I say when pe and this is a let me say this too. We talked about this earlier.
When people cover these court cases or when they go over these these crime stories, especially these bloggers, if that's what you want to call them, and content creators and stuff like that, and they talk about, oh, we got to wait.
We got to wait until we get to the the court is going to let us know what's really going on. When we really get to the courtroom, that's when the facts we we can't for you can form an opinion before you get in the courtroom because the people that are are judging this situation are human just like you, just like you.
And oftent times they make big mistakes just like this.
So you know that that blows me away how much faith people put in the justice system. It just blows me away.
Especially when this is the same justice system in the same country that had your great grandmama sitting in the back of the bus and had and was hosing your ancestors now and had your ancestors drinking at a black only water fountains and couldn't eat in certain restaurants.
This the same country with the same justice system that had your people working for free. But you excuse black people put so much faith in the justice system. No matter even though we see time and time again it is not meant for us.
It blows me away to hear you African-American people talking about how we got to wait until court because that's that's when we gonna fight a that ain't [ __ ] Court is all politics.
People get away with murder every day.
It is not for us.
>> I know it's tough, guys.
>> I said it was semantic. One of these words one way or the other.
>> What's going on, Queens?
Well, remember what happens when I >> No, they uh No, Raquel, he didn't. He Hold on, let me pause this. No, the young man Cyrus, he actually didn't steal any water. This is the part that blows me away. He actually didn't steal any water. He didn't steal. When he was in the store, he This is the part that blows me away, y'all. The boy didn't even steal.
They chased him down for no reason. When the boy walked into the gas station, the wife of this man, the Rick child, his wife was already on um his wife was already on uh Cyrus's behind when he walked in the store. Soon as he walked through the door, not uh hello, welcome into the store. Hi, how are how you doing today? Welcome to the store. Uh happy Monday. Happy to Nothing nice, nothing friendly, just immediate aggression. soon as he walked through the door, "Put your bag down." So he, you know, put his bag down, walked to the back of the store. Soon as he walked to the refrigerator section, the wife left from behind the counter and followed him and pretended like she was fixing bags of chips. But the whole time she was watching him, waiting, almost like she was waiting for a confrontation with this young man.
Then when he gets to the front of the store, she confronts him before he leaves out and accuses him of stealing water. He puts both hands in his pockets and says, "I don't have any water. I didn't take any water. I put it back."
And so, and it's not like you could hide bottles of water inside of a pocket. If you have water in the type of hoodie that he had on, you've been able to see it. So, then he proceeds to leave the store to avoid confrontation. He did the right thing by walking away, trying to leave. The surveillance camera has the boy running from these people. Excuse the sire when I got my window open.
Running from these people.
They chased him down and shot him down like a dog in the street. Chased them 130 yards. I'm trying to figure out where this not guilty verdict is coming from. I I I can't believe it. I can't believe it. They these people were aggressive with Cyrus the moment that he walked through the door. The moment he walked, the moment he walked through the door, he had he he didn't get two feet two steps in before she was on his ass. Put your book bag down like they knew him or something.
So, and look look at look at uncle this never.
I am lost.
I'm not gonna lie. I might as well get the rest of this.
>> Not guilty. No punishment for life.
>> But we knew when they kept getting a word.
>> How would y'all feel? How would I mean I'm just I'm just trying. They I I really, you know, they they don't look they look at us as subhuman human. They don't look at us as human beings because there's no way. I mean, how would a person feel their 14year-old child really? That's a baby, okay? 14-year-old child barely probably even in high school shot down over a bottle of water that he did not steal.
And then to sit through days of trial and watch the person that took your son's life be released and found not guilty. That is a complete miscarriage of justice and a slap in the face.
>> I just I cannot believe it. I cannot believe it.
>> He's just He can't believe it. Look at him. He can't believe it. He like He's still trying to process it. He's like, "Oh my, I thought I was going to prison for the rest of my life." He can look at it. He can't believe that they actually are letting him go. He going home.
>> Left that gas station. His intention was not to un alive. This is the hope that what or what Donna Adlesen thought that she was going to get from her trial that if they're left with no other option to give him, they're forced to give the not guilty because the malice in the in the uh defense's eyes was not there in the >> the malice in the defense's eyes was not there. Saying that there was no malice and that's the reason why he was found.
I'm so sick of this [ __ ] country, y'all. I got a bone to pick with South Carolina.
I'm about to play the I'm about to play the video again.
Let me matter of fact, let me pull it up. Ain't no way in the world. No malice was determined by the jury, which is why he was found not uh um not guilty.
What in the world is what where do you see no malice existing in chasing somebody down 130 ft?
Let me play this again. Hold on, y'all.
Wait, cuz that's it. That's That's it right there. That's the verdict. Hold on.
Not guilty.
Let me pause this real quick. South Carolina, I'mma talk about y'all ass. Y listen, y'all better do something. Y'all y'all, and I'm not, again, I'm not inciting anything. I'm not inciting anything. I'm just saying that I don't believe that the that the community and the the citizens of Columbia, South Carolina should take this misjustice sitting down. I don't know. I think they should say something. Um, correct me if I'm right or if I'm wrong. Is the family the family can still file a wrongful death suit. Can they or can they not?
Right. they can file a civil lawsuit against the, you know, the child's something.
So, they possibly are not all the way out the dark, but again, this is still a misjud miscarriage adjustment.
Thank you, lovely dog.
Y'all see that? I think um Common Collectives is is near uh that area in South Carolina. She's saying right now I'm I already knew it, baby. I already knew what they was about to do. Uh Common Collective said they about to tear the store. They about to tear more than the stove up, baby. They about to tear a more than the stove.
This is horrible.
window.
Nothing.
Look at her stalking him. She And then and then hold on, let me answer this question. Um, I I did hear that he sold uh the store. I don't know to whom, but from what I'm hearing, I don't know how true it is, but he sold it possibly to like a family member or something like that. But do you guys see her stalking him?
Do y'all see that? He turned around like what the he couldn't he he turned around because he didn't realize that she was right behind him. And then what makes it so bad is she's in like this posture to where don't you know how normally, you know, we all a majority of my followers are African-American. I do have people from other uh of other races that, you know, watch my content as well, but a majority of my the demographic of my followers are African-American women.
Now, most uh people can say that they can attest to um Hold on.
>> Most people um say that they can attest to uh going into like a local store, whether it be a Eric store or a Asian like a beauty supply store or whatever.
We we are used to being followed around.
I ain't even gonna limit it to no limit it to those stores. I say we go to Macy's or Sax Fit or you know and we're shopping or we don't they feel like we don't look a certain way. We are used to being followed around the stores and normally when they follow us around the stores they do it in a more discreet fashion.
like they'll pretend like they're fixing something on the shelf or they act like they'll pretend like they were getting ready to go down that aisle. Anyway, this lady right here is almost trying to intimidate him. Like she's like just standing there letting it be known, I'm watching you. You know what I'm saying?
Like at first she was fixing the chips or whatever, but then she just stood there and kind of leaned back a little bit just to kind of let him know, yeah, I'm watching you. So, she thought that she saw him steal the water. But what happened was he picked the water up out of the cooler. I don't know what he was doing. Maybe he was looking at the price. Maybe he figured he couldn't afford the water. Maybe he changed his mind. But he ended up putting the water back. But she must not have seen him put the water back and assumed that he shoplifted. But she thought, but she made that assumption because she already had a preconceived notion about what she thought that he was getting ready to do anyway. because as soon as he walked through the store, she told him to put his book bag down. So she thought he was about to steal off Ripet in your pocket.
>> Yeah.
I mean, she's showing he's showing her that he don't have any water in his pocket. She still won't leave him alone.
14y old kid.
Let me look at uh some of these comments. This is I I'm just I'm waiting to see what the reaction is going to be from the community. Um, we had a content creator in here earlier. Her name is uh Sean. Uh, she also uh covers does new uh legal coverage on her channel. Her uh the guy Cyrus is actually her son's or was her son's best friend. Um, so I'm just I'm just interested in seeing what the reaction from the community is going to be. Um, you know, this is this is horrible. Um, Santa Paul poly polymo. I hope I said that right.
Over some MF and water. Water. The F.
I'm sick to my stomach. My heart hurts.
It's disgusting.
Water at that. Something that God gave us for free that that that humans decide to start charging people for. It's just this is just when I when I tell you the world is going going out real sad. The world going out sad. Um her 5366 says they always do that and in beauty supply stores I asked them to help me since they want to see what I'm doing. Come help me find my stuff there since you built my business. Don't be helping you look for nothing. Just hurry up and buy.
Uh karma collective says unfortunately I knew this was going to be the outcome. I you know what karma collective I didn't I wasn't expecting it. I wasn't expecting it. I was sitting there listening to the verdict and I was like oh I wonder what his reaction is going to be when he get them 30 years 30 to life. That was is what my thought process was. I just I I just was not expecting but comic collective you are more so from that community. Um, South Carolina is a red state and still a lot of racism goes on here. Oh, this is why I say I would never live down south. I just wouldn't be able to do it.
They had me somewhere in jail, baby, because I I just wouldn't be able to do I can't take just the the the injustice.
I just can't I can't stand it. Um, it's Sherry Blossom TV said, uh, they destroyed that store after Cyrus got unal alive and they eventually sold it because they tore that store up. Thank you so much, Terry, for that uh fair use.
Hyra says, "This is ridiculous. They chase that young man over the length of a football field." The length of a football field.
How many yards is a football field? So, they chased that man over the length of a football. Cuz see, that gives me really uh when you say it that way, a better visual of how far he was chased um and pew pewed him in the back. How the hell is that not intent or malice?
Like I said, I'm I'm anticipating um and I'm not saying that they're going to, but it it will be nice to hear from the jurors. I would love to hear how they came up with that verdict. Um she's definitely profiling. Yes, she was. Uh uh Sonnie says, "Uh we have to stop pat."
Let me go down a little bit.
So the so a football field is 100 yards.
So o over they chased him over the length of a football field over a 98 cent bottle of water.
Yes, you guys. Once they said this was the only option, I said oh no. That queens didn't that's what I was saying earlier. I think what happened in this case too, uh, either way it was wrong, but I think also what happened in this case is that the prosecution um said the only option that they're giving child and the defense to work with is uh murder.
Um, there was no possible uh manslaughter, second degree. It was all or nothing. So, I think that if that stipulation hadn't been put in place, I think that he would have been found guilty for something. So, I think that they thought that that would make it a make it uh stronger, but I think it actually weakened the case and weakened the chances of him uh of that family receiving justice. So, this is just really heartbreaking. Uh I'm drained at this point. You ever just feel drained?
I I just I just can't believe it. I just I I I I just can't believe I feel numb actually. Like uh this is horrible, y'all. Um Sonia says, "I live here in Colia and I'm embarrassed. My heart is so heavy right now. I can't believe this and I really don't think the jury understood the instructions at all." I don't think they did either. And the prosecutor uh I played um some of his arguments earlier this morning where he said well Andy who's the son of Rick uh Rick Child was saying that he felt that his life was in danger uh saying that Cyrus pulled out his pew pew uh in the midst of them chasing him. But the prosecutor made a really good point and said, "Well, you would have never seen a pew pew and would have never possibly allegedly had a pew pew pointed at you had you not chased him out of the store. Had you not chased him 130 ft, had you remained in the store, there would have never been a confrontation. The the biggest point here is that Cyrus walked out of the store. He left. He didn't cause a ruckus. He actually left the argument.
They were actually trying to when I say they, I'm talking about uh um Rick Chow's wife, Andy Chow, and Rick Chow were in were in the middle of trying to engage him in confrontation about the water. He simply told him, "I don't have any water. I didn't take any water." And they he turned around and proceeded to leave. And he ran once he saw them chasing him. Not one time did he try to confront them. Not one time did he try to fight. He was trying to really when you watch that video uh of the surveillance video of him running is it's really sad because it's he's literally running for his life. He's really running for his life and they're chasing him down like they're hunting him.
It's just I don't understand how a jury saw that and came up with this verdict. Um spilling the grits. What's going on?
said he was chased 130 yards just for having a little bit of color and that's all it wasn't having anything to do with water. That's exactly right. Spilling the grits. Teresa Fraser, thank you so much for your fivemon membership. I appreciate that.
Hanging with Miss D says, "My heart and prayers goes out to the family." Yeah, that was sad. Especially when you um when you listen and hear the mom crying in the audience. Like that was sad. That was that was sad. What's going on, Kisha? Kisha said, "Girl, I'm living."
Yeah, it's disgusting. U spilling the grit says, "I moved out of Columbia, South Carolina with my two boys in 2020.
They are not for our people." I got a lot of people in here that that either are from Columbia, South Carolina or uh roundabout that area. Um Doy Doy, I think I said that right, says, "Y'all, was that the prosecution's decision?" I agree. Uh he would have been found guilty of manslaughter, but malice was a thing that the jury was hung up on. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That's why I don't think that it it was a good idea to just say all or nothing. Um murder or nothing. I think that it, you know, other options definitely should have been given because um well, I don't want to say that. I I want to wait to see if we're going to be able to hear what the jury says as to what how they came to that verdict, but I definitely think it was a huge mistake to uh say all or nothing as far as murder. I think other options should have definitely been in there. Uh manslaughter should have definitely been uh offered as uh one of the options. Um, spilling the grit says, "My family is still there. I don't understand this at all." U Brady David said, "They open businesses in our community and we spend our money with them, but I guarantee a black business can't open a business in their community. They won't support it.
This is why." That is so true, Brandy.
That is so true.
Latrina Bradford says, "God is going to deal with the child, family, and the racism in their hearts." Yeah. Karma Collector says, "That's why I said I knew it was going to turn out this way."
Look at our senator and governor. They are not for blacks at all. See, I don't I don't know a lot about the politics and stuff like that in South Carolina. I really don't. But obviously, I need to read up on it, child, because I I I just can't believe that um I can't believe that this happened.
You know, when I was looking at when they handed the verdict over to the judge, even the judge looked disappointed. It when I was looking out, I'm going to replay. I may replay it, but even the judge like, you know, uh Neo says they understood the instructions. Racist people are very demonic. They get off on our suffering.
And I I I have to agree. I think that the instructions were clear. And I think the actions and the motive behind what happened was clear. was clearly racially charged. Clearly.
Clearly.
Heavy barrel said he left with something in his hoodie pocket. What did he leave with? He heavy uh barrel. Um if you can educate us because the prosecution and the defense both agree that he didn't steal the bottle of water. That was something that was not even need that that didn't even need to be debated.
They both agreed that he actually hadn't stolen anything.
So, what did he leave within his pocket?
Sonia Fuller says, "If you're in a car accident and hit someone in the back, you're automatically at fault. But you can but you can pew pew someone in the back who is running from you, and that's okay. You get found not guilty. It doesn't make any sense." That's a good analogy. It doesn't make any sense.
um running for his life. Is that like hands up don't shoot? I don't understand what that question mean. Inspector go to the stores and they watch me because they should. Oh, so you saying that you be stealing then? Do you be stealing? You said they should watch you. Well, then I guess you be stealing.
But thievery comes in all different colors, honey. It's not just black people. Anybody could be a thief. As a matter of fact, a lot of different races uh get away with stealing in a lot of these stores because they know that the store owners, the security, the loss prevention is focused on black people, people of color. So, they know that they can go in as a a Caucasian person and steal up a storm and nobody's going to even notice because they're so focused on a certain demographic. And see, that's what a lot of these store owners don't realize is that you so focused on a certain demographic that you losing a hell of a lot of merchandise and it ain't us all the time. Okay? It don't be us. So, let me read some of the mess.
Y'all can y'all still hear me? Drop. You guys can still hear me.
Let's see.
Um, he had a weapon in his hoodie. Oh, I heard that it was inside of his um I heard that it was inside of his book bag. But let me ask you something, Heavy Barrel. Even if he did have a weapon in his hoodie, what does that matter?
Because when he was in the store and they were accusing him of stealing, he didn't pull out the weapon.
He never pulled the weapon out during the confrontation in the store. He walked away and tried to leave. And even after he walked away peacefully and tried to leave, they proceeded to chase him down.
So whether or not he had a weapon or not, did it really matter because he wasn't looking to use it?
And we still have no real proof or solid evidence that he ever tried to use it.
Andy Child said that he pulled the weapon out and pointed it at him, but he said that after the fact. The initial police reports, Andy Child never said that Cyrus pulled the weapon on him. He only recently introduced that detail.
So, I'm just saying.
They sure do. inspector. They be tell they they be up in there stealing up a store, you know, and then the the the store owners are wondering how in the world is their merchandise coming up missing because they're watching every black person like a hawk that's coming into the store and they're not understanding where their stuff is going. Well, your stuff is being stolen by these other races that are coming in because they know that you're not watching them.
certain skin color is a um is uh you see money when you see certain skin tones. I don't know if you guys remember this story, but I don't know if y'all remember this, but this was years and years and years ago and I actually recently saw it on YouTube like it just popped up. Oprah Winfrey, okay, multibillionaire was in a different country. I think she was like in France or something and she was trying to purchase a designer purse and they told her that she couldn't afford it and so I would think that everybody know who Oprah is. I don't know but I guess where the part of the world she was in they weren't familiar. Okay. So be they told her and there was several other people in this store shopping, but they told her that the purse that she was interested in purchasing that she may want to look at something else because she wouldn't be able to afford that that bag. And so Oprah was talking and so it that that's interesting to me that no matter how hard you work, no matter how much money you make, no matter how u successful you are, never forget that you are still black, okay? in the eyes of not this isn't just America. This is a stigma that that uh spans across countries that black is associated with poverty, with crime, stealing, and any other negative connotation.
And it's so sad that people want to sit around and pretend like that doesn't exist.
And this was just in in this particular case, this was just a case of, "Oh, we just thought he stole a bottle of water." You don't pull out a weapon and unal alive somebody and chase them 130 yards over a 98 cent bottle of water.
You chase somebody 130 yards with a gun, pew pew them in the back, and take their life because of hatred.
It with the bottle of water. They hated him.
That's what it was about. It wasn't about the water because they were being nasty to him.
Very unprofessional with him.
Not [ __ ] forget the c the good customer service. Soon as he walked in, they were nasty to him. So it didn't have anything to this one before long before he ever was thinking about going to pick up a bottle of water from the back because he walked through the door and he got a nasty attitude from the store owners. So it had nothing to do with water. They just hate him. And I wonder why.
So what I wish is that people would try to will take a blinder. I wouldn't even say people are wearing blinders. I think that people are intentionally missing the point.
This is has nothing to do with water.
So Cyrus lost his life because he was black. Just like Trayvon Martin lost his life because he was black. Just like George Floyd lost his life because he was black. George Floyd didn't lose his life because he was selling loose cigarettes in front of the store. He lost his life because he was black.
Let's just keep it a hundred here.
But you know, Mr. Child will be dealt with. If you ask, he might want to go back. Let me not say that. He might want to leave South He might want to leave Columbia, South Carolina. I'm just going to I'mma say it like that because I don't see him having a being safe there.
I I'll put it that way. Um he may want to leave him and his family because it's going to be ugly for him.
Let me look at some of these comments.
Uh Mrs. Child, hold on one second, y'all.
Um, Mrs. Sha was nasty to him from Yeah, she was from the jump before before the water was ever introduced into the scenario. Um, Neo said, "I remember that upper and it happened to Floyd Mayweather, too."
Really? really can't even I mean talking about a billionaire still getting racially profiled Tori Hman said I hope even if he didn't want it she bought it and I think she did buy it I think buy it he sold the business but I heard he sold it to a family member um Kyra Hoop 82 I think his son was lying from the jump I don't think any goes I don't think I don't think he I definitely don't believe this at all. Yeah. I don't believe his son at all. At all because the the story changed. He didn't he never said Cyrus pulled a weapon on him initially. He didn't come up with that until later on. The initial report doesn't say anything about Cyrus pulling a weapon on him.
So guys, uh collector said he needs to leave the state because them goons out there.
That's what I'm saying. He ain't safe in South Carolina. I really don't. And that's not me saying that I hope anything happens to him because I don't hope that anything happens to anybody.
I'm not that type of person. I'm just being I'm just speaking realistically that realistically it doesn't seem like Columbia, South Carolina or that area would be a safe place for him to be during this time and that's just common sense. Um but thank you guys for joining me. I'm I'm highly highly disappointed.
I I was not planning on going live at all. Uh e even I I figured the verdict would be coming out today. However, I didn't see myself going live. I you know I could have saved it for tomorrow if the verdict was guilty but the fact that it was not guilty took me so you know offguard that I just I had to come on here and vent like I just couldn't believe it I I couldn't believe it I'm still in shock and awe despite the fact that you and I said this earlier in the live stream despite the fact that at this point I think that we should all be used to um just being treated unfairly uh when it comes to the justice system, okay? They don't care about our lives.
And this is the reason why we say black lives matter. And this is why a campaign was created called Black Lives Matter.
Obviously, the justice system doesn't believe that black lives matter.
Obviously. So, y'all make sure before you get out of here, you guys go ahead and hit that like button for me. If you're here and you're new, make sure you subscribe to my channel.
