And I don't even always know what he's he's saying, but like I think that that's the good thing about music as well.

If you understand what he's saying, that's the bonus because I know that he has a lot of substance in his lyrics and whatnot. I went and saw him in New York. We talked about this before. I went um honorable shout out to Red Bull. They um took me to New York to see Ashake at the Brooklyn Theater. It was in Brooklyn Theater and it was like a suare vibe.

[00:14:43]Everyone had to dress up in suits and stuff like that. Yeah. It was a whole orchestra thing and it was absolutely sinc. It was one of the it was one of the best show it was one of the best shows that I'd seen that year and it was like it will be in my argument of like some of my favorite shows I've ever seen. He's not a big dancer but it was just so smooth.

Um, cuz I listen to a lot of AMA piano music and I find that there wasn't there's a lot of what's it called again where they just don't get along essentially like West Africa and South Africa they don't get along. Um, and there's still kind of issues right now there about that kind of stuff. But when I heard that I was like okay that's it.

Um, it was on the the Saturday the 23rd, but I went there on the 19th and I felt like what I wanted to do because we had two pre-parties before the main event, I wanted to just be out there a couple of days before, one to just relax and climatize a bit, chill, um, and not get there and start rushing about all over the place. Um, so we did that. Me and Taser got there on the Tuesday. We ate food, sat in the sun, went about, went and checked what some other people were doing and stuff. We had the two pre-parties. They were cool.

[00:19:07]I think we announced the the pre-parties super last minute, so the turnouts weren't the greatest. Um, but that was just because it was super last minute.

[00:19:16]We knew how much people were going to the main event, so we was trying to like facilitate those people. But I think in hindsight as well have to remember that there's like it's like it's not like Malta where we know that there's loads of people coming >> so we might as well do things prior where there's nothing going on in the country in flipping Marba there's loads of things going on every day I mean there's like loads of events um loads of restaurants there's loads of things happening so even though a lot of people are planning to come to R&B and Slow Jams on a Saturday they know on Thursday they're going to go to this beach club Friday going to go to that beach club.

[00:19:55]>> Um >> they're going to restaurants. They're doing all kinds of stuff. So >> that was what was going on. Ate in some really cool places. Breathe was one of my favorite places to eat. I enjoyed eating there. Um it's a lot of money over that side. If you go and spend money if you go to Marba, you're going to spend money. It's like that.

Yeah. It just it's capitalism in it. They know loads of people are coming. Yeah. And it just the prices just must raise up like crazy. I know like there's like some beach clubs if you're just rocking up there on the day and it and you can get in there, it's going to cost you like €200 to get in.

And that a lot of people do that cuz there are a decent amount of people over there with bread. You know what I'm saying?

[00:22:02]And then seeing it actually coming to life is an experience in itself. And then another really good experience here is when you go to the venue to soundcheck early in the day cuz everyone is there basically putting this event together like for the event. So you're going there and you're seeing people putting up stuff.

[00:22:28]Um everything's just getting put in a certain I don't know everyone's just doing whatever it is that they're doing.

[00:22:33]Yeah. And then I went and did a sound check and whatnot. And then it's just like going to the arena later on. We get a car, you drive around the back, you go inside. Obviously, there's security and that there and whatnot. I don't know.

So, I sense that. I know when it's like that. So, then it's my job to say things and get everyone excited in a certain way to lift up the vibe and energy. So, um, so yeah.

That's I was thinking multiple things like one is the investigation going to go over there into Australia.

[00:57:54]>> Go ahead. So she said um on shows such as Love Island and Big Brother, there is at least uh contestant oversight, cameras in effect roll 24/7. Uh there are microphones everywhere in Love Island Villa, including in the bed headboards. Welfare checks are regular to the point where producers even monitor how much water the contestants are drinking.

[00:58:16]>> Uh producers are physically nearby almost all the time. That does not mean that these formats are faultless. Uh, but one thing that stood out to me when watching the Panama documentary was how much less oversight appears to exist within Married at First Sight.

[00:58:31]Contestants are living together in private apartments, often without continual monitoring >> while being actively encouraged to form emotionally and sexually intense relationships with people they have only just met.

[00:58:43]>> That combination creates risk. And if television producers are deliberately creating emotionally heightened environments for entertainment, they cannot simultaneously act surprised when safeguarding concerns emerge. But the bigger issue is for me is not simply welf whether welfare exists. It's also it's who welfare ultimately answers to.

[00:59:05]At the moment welfare teams are still embedded within the producers the production structure. They sit with the same with they sit within the same ecosystem as the people responsible for delivering storylines, ratings, and successful television. Even where individuals within welfare teams generally care deeply about contestants, there is still an unavoidable conflict built into the structure itself.

[00:59:27]>> Yeah, it cuz I I remember watching it and I remember I remember thinking to myself, I wonder how this actually works because see like with Love Island Yeah.

[00:59:37]They are in a place that you could say is it's a villa, but it could be built specifically for that.

[00:59:44]>> Yeah. It may not be. They might just hire something and then just do their due diligence with putting cameras and microphones everywhere, whatever, but it almost looks like a set.

[00:59:54]>> Whereas with Married at First Sight is not like that and you're going off and you're going and staying in places and whatnot and then then they are encouraged to do certain stuff. Yeah. Um so then what does that look like? Go on.

[01:00:06]>> It's that point. Exactly. That encouragement. One thing I always notice when I watch that show is how intense they are when it comes to intimacy. Have you been intimate? When will you be intimate? Why haven't you been intimate?

[01:00:19]I'm just like, this is crazy. First and foremost, like most people, I think it is generally accepted that you can be intimate very very early on when you are talking to somebody. But I think in most societies, it's not the norm. Like you kind of do take your time. Um >> well there there's and there but there's also >> sorry just to end when you're talking about marriage >> oh >> in that aspect it's like if we are being serious and we're talking about long-term partners you might be slightly more hesitant but even the hesitancy is questioned why why have you not built these relationships why have you not taken the time to have these conversations where you can be intimate I think what that does is like the type of pressure it puts on people in those in those types of relationships or in that that particular particular setting where like you were saying like Love Island as a set you're going into. They're going to apartments. They literally have a whole block.

[01:01:19]>> And but there's also just there's no cameras or no there's no um microphones and that in there on a 24-hour basis.

[01:01:27]This is true, but the there are certain episodes and certain series where I know that there are clips that you've seen where the cameras come in early so they catch little bits in conversations. So, I know they can get in get in there, but they choose not to and they choose to kind of like stay away from certain couples with them being more intimate because the story line is more engaging.

[01:01:48]Like I remember there was this one in Australia where there was like a whole cheating sort of situation.

[01:01:54]They went straight into the bedroom and there them two were chatting up in the bed like they didn't just [ __ ] Obviously they're not partnered together. Um but my forget the story line. The cameras are there.

Don't just be thinking you're laying in bed now and you're going to just slide in a finger and whatnot. You have to ask this question first.

[01:05:08]>> With Married at First Sight, you do not have that ability. You can only complain once it's done, you know, once the viewer has witnessed something say, "Well, that looks off." [01:05:26]>> Us as viewers, we feel, I guess, helpless. It's not to say that we're like completely involved in it, but like they want us to be. And so when we're watching the show, people are going to build their own opinions, but when you make these complaints to offcom, these guys don't do nothing because the show's done now.

[01:05:40]>> But is the is the complaint is the complaint >> or the case on this just purely a sexual thing.

[01:05:48]>> It's multiple things like >> because if it's purely sexual, then I get the point that you you're making there makes all the sense in the world.

[01:05:55]I get it. Yeah. But this is a sexual thing. So that could happen in one that could happen in one moment on Love Island or it could happen in one moment on there. It's just it's a sexual moment.

[01:06:11]>> If it's bullying, >> this is what there's multiple layers to the abusive stuff. In Australia, what they have is that this live show that happens afterwards, after the show has aired, that's happening in real time so people can voice their opinions. And so we kind of kind of kind of hear it out and things are being dealt with in that time. I don't think they have the same thing here over here.

[01:06:29]>> Yeah. But either way, if it's a sexual moment, >> that moment has happened. So it's like >> that's almost like a different conversation cuz it's a moment that's happened and there's a level of consent has been completely broken. And that can be broken in so many different dynamics, isn't it?

[01:06:48]>> I, you know, I was having this conversation with a couple of people just recently as well. So it's like they were like not necessarily rebuttals on like the allegation type. Yeah. But I was saying that like I hear it though if you are having sex if you are having sex with somebody and that person says to you listen don't come inside me saying that you got caught up in the moment is not an excuse. It's not a reason. Do you get what I'm saying? It's not a reason. Now I one thing I can hear, this is the one thing I can hear is that someone can say to you, look, do whatever you do, don't ejaculate in me.

[01:07:29]Yeah. Then you're doing what you're doing or whatnot. Then you've you're out of it. But you know what I mean? It's going all over. Do you get what I'm saying? And it it just gets mad. But if you've made no attempt, you've just completely disregarded what that person has said and and did that. I just think that is insanity.

[01:07:52]>> Now, some people will like poke holes in it and say that like, you know, sometimes they may be told after the fact. So like you've had you're sleeping with somebody they not mention it to you in that moment and then you've done it and then afterwards they've been like me >> and you're like >> yeah I did and they're like oh [ __ ] that wasn't really part of the move but we never had that conversation obviously I'm inside I didn't really know like there's a big nuance to that but I just think if somebody has told you before even if you're inside and you haven't ejaculated yet and someone has told you do not come inside me to then come inside them after that is outrageous.

[01:08:37]And there used to be these stories before of, you know, like people wearing condoms. Yeah. And then taking the condom off mid sex. That's great >> cuz that's not part of the agreement.

[01:08:49]You just put that on and then now you've taken that off with this with like deception. I feel like we sometimes live in a world Yeah. where we take away some of the we take away some of the nuance to be biased within ourselves and in some ways make ourselves a potential victim in it because there are times where there are allegations that are not true but I do think still when you write it down on a piece of paper what is what is a go and what isn't a go to me I feel it's as clear as day if you've had a especially if you've had a conversation. If someone has told you, yo, this is just not what I want. We can do all of this, but I just just don't I just don't want to do that. Like to then go and disregard it and do it. I just think it's just is mental. I I also think in this situation it's quite heightened because there isn't really much of a difference, but there is a slight difference when it's somebody else is doing the due diligence for you to find your partner.

[01:10:02]>> Because it's like of course there are it's never the woman's fault. That has to be clear here. But at the same time there is a situation whereby like in this case it's not your fault but there it somebody might have skipped something here. Somebody might have skipped a potential red flag to put this guy in your bed.

[01:10:27]>> Yeah. But yeah. No though. You know what it is? Yeah. You know I've said this loads of times on the pod like every day is a normal day until it's not.

[01:10:34]>> Yeah. And so like something can be relatively normal for a long period of time until it's just not. So it's like if you're sitting down with somebody and you're doing tests, assessments, and all of that. Yeah. There are some people who I guess it does lean to your point a bit, but it's like they present themselves in a way that is just is fine because you've done x amount of tests with them. you've spoken to them numerous times, you you start to feel like you get an understanding of their personality and their traits. So, you're not to think that this particular person is going to completely disregard something that is very important because I do think that it's like it's quite look I'm going to be very very honest. There has been times when I've been with a woman and she has looked me in my face and said, "Just don't do that." It's clear.

[01:11:40]It's clear for me to then go and do it afterwards. I've just completely disregarded that. And like me even using the vibe of like, "Ah, but do you know what? I just got C." Like again, and I don't even want to be like I don't want this to be a trigger warning to anyone here, but you'll know as a man, you know, when you start getting to that moment, there are times when you get to that moment. Yeah. And you your head's all over the place.

[01:12:06]>> Your head is all over the place, >> but it's not an excuse because when your head's all over the place, Yeah. you know, like this might not stay in, but it's like you going to be having sex with somebody without contraception.

And then you start thinking, you know, the consequences cuz she could get pregnant. But in that moment of the buildup, you think, "Fuck it." Do you know what? I don't care if she has this baby or not. She's This is it. This is it. I'm doing it and I'm closing my eyes. Yeah. I'm closing my eyes. And then afterwards, you think, "Oh my god, why did I do that?"

[01:12:48]But you see in that moment, yeah, if somebody tells you this is not what I want, in that buildup, your mind is probably telling you, >> I know she's told me this, but now I'm doing it.

[01:13:23]But in the leadup, there were characteristics that were shown as a viewer that eventually has obviously come out where she's like, "Yeah, it was a bit of a narcissist." Like that was him. So had it been live, not to I don't know how this show would work if it was live. Had it been live, had there been people complaining, who knows? Not I don't know if it would have stopped it.

I just want to hear him being in his 30s and just rapping appropriately and just giving us a project from that perspective. Yeah. And so when I listen to it again, I realized this is exactly what he's doing. He's given me personally what I wanted with the Make Them Cry, the Make Them Pays, all of that. And just even with other bits like Burning Bridges, um, uh, I can't even remember some of the other songs. Dusk. I mean, when Dusk came on at first, that's a second song, isn't it?

You can you can if you were to say it was this then you could do that but you can't say it like that and you can't he was just the way that he was doing it was so good. Yeah. And it could have been seen as though cuz even though this person was [ __ ] guilt you knew this person was guilty but it made you realize wow like it's quite difficult sometimes to prove somebody guilty because there's so many things that you can't actually say >> cuz it has to be facts based. Yeah. So, in the right case, a a judge can really take the emotion out.

So for example, the guy's gone cool. Here the the the acceleration input is 100%. There's no attempt at breaking.

So, one of the one of the um one of the main things was that um the mom of this the guy of the of the boyfriend, she had provided evidence um that he her son had one day in the past few weeks had called her or had messaged her to say or called her. No, he called her and said, "Um, I need you to come and get me. She's trying to kill me. She's trying to run this car off the road.
