This is a classic attempt to intellectualize basic thermodynamics into an "artisanal" narrative for a performative aesthetic. It wraps simple moonshine in technical jargon to satisfy the high-brow craving for manufactured authenticity.

Making the Whiskey for Poverty Tour 2026Added:
WHISKEY GAS GARAGE. YEAH, WE BACK AGAIN.
GREEN BOX PARKED UP. Hey everybody, welcome out to Whiskey Gas Garage. My name is Chad Scott and I'm your host and we're not in the Whiskey Gas Garage.
We're in the Whiskey Gas Kitchen uh slash distillery because we don't come by the name Whiskey Gas Garage by accident. Uh we earned that name the hard way. Uh we make whiskey and we're making whiskey as we speak right now. So I just wanted to give you guys a quick secret cuz we're going to have a full episode coming out in the next couple of weeks with the whiskey we're going to be taking on poverty tour. But I want to give you guys a quick secret is even after our whiskey's completely done and so we you know we make our mash, all natural ingredients, we age it, we distill it, we put it in a barrel, we let it soak, we filter it through uh sugar maple and then with everything's all said and done we empty out our oak barrels which we only use once. We empty out our oak barrels and then we cut them up.
We cut them up into little parts and pieces. And then we take that and we put it inside of our distiller.
And we run it through one last time. Uh and it boil off a little bit of the uh ethanol. So 212° water boils, ethanol boils at [music] 173 uh and that gives us what you see coming out here out of our condenser. So you don't need a thumper, you don't need anything like that but it gives us a real opportunity to get a taste of our liquor before [music] it mellows. And uh we will mellow it out in the next phase but uh smells wonderful.
It's strong.
It's a little too strong.
I'm going to try a little more just to make sure I wouldn't.
That's strong.
But it's good.
That's good moonshine. Good white liquor is what you should get coming out of there. What we put in there, of course, is brown liquor. It was ready to go. And most distillers would have just gone ahead and bottled it and sent it out the door. We're not going to do that to you.
We are going to [music] uh take our liquor, we're going to cut up our barrels, and we're going to stick them inside here and run through one more time to get every ounce of flavor out of that barrel. And then I take my my cut up barrels and I give them to my chickens and they peck at them and have chicken happy chicken dances, I guess, cuz they they like them. They like them a lot. And also it helps keep bugs from going ahead to their coop when you put the old barrels out there. So, just to give you guys a quick preview of what we've got going on here.
Wow.
>> That was really strong.
Then little scoop and I'm feeling something.
So, hey, like I said, an episode's going to come out in a couple of weeks.
Actually, probably while we're on poverty tour.
That will highlight the entire process of what makes our liquor different than everybody else's. Nobody does it this way and you're like, Chad, maybe they shouldn't. I don't know. I'm just telling you the liquor I like. This is it. We're at Rinsing Barrel Bourbon.
We're going to be We have the video will show you how we bottle it and how we get it ready for poverty tour. And if you're on poverty tour with us, come up to me and go chat and have like a little little snort of that Rinsing Barrel Bourbon. And you know what I'll do? I'll say, I'll have one with you. So, we're going to we're going to finish up this process here, get our get our still cleaned up a little bit and then stainless steel on this one. We distill in a in a copper pot, and then we finish in a stainless [music] steel pot. So, we'll see y'all in just a few on.
Yo, Chad.
Yo, Chad.
