Like even earlier in the year, I've mixed in a couple face cam streams, done the random one here and there, but trying to make it a more consistent thing, especially for discussion streams, which I I think I want to make it more consistent for discussion streams. Rando, I might, you know, gameplay streams I'll take it or leave it. Like I I'll do facecam here and there.

But I'm kind of at a point now where uh, I want to do facecam for all my discussions because I feel like when I edit the VOD, when I do the stream highlights, I want to, you know, have I want to have like facecam content going.

So I expect for a decent bit this year, no matter how many times I do, there's going to be people who uh do not aren't used to seeing the webcam. But hi. This is what I look like. What's popping? And I know when Cave 4 drops, that's going to be the big like um boom of it, you know, like a lot of people are going to come in then and be like, "Wait, whoa, Prodigy. What's good?" Cuz there's a lot of K fans in hibernation right now, dude.

But I I'm still a little Some people are still a little suspect of it. So earlier this morning, right, TGS, uh, if you look at the thumbnail of the live stream, they posted this like loading symbol or this like loading screen thing, and it was I think it's just it was them just advertising a teaser trailer that they will drop tomorrow, but a lot of Cage fans were like, whoa, Kingdom Hearts.

[00:06:00]Um, and really was this a teaser for like the the dates for TGS later this year, more than likely, but the loading like not only was the color and the color kind of gave us a cage sort of vibe, but the font is literally the Kingdom Hearts font and like it it looks exactly like it. You know what I mean? Um, I already have two proofs. I I don't I actually only have one. I only have one proof. All right. Uh it's the opposite.

What gets the spiral going is uh some random leak comes out, some random some random rumor, some random something related to Square Enix or related to Disney comes out and it gets discussion started and when when discussion gets started, optimism starts to like come in, which I think normally that optimism will be good, but because this drop's been so long, that optimism probably is a little misplaced, right?

Like I I really wish it wasn't a bad thing cuz bro, we we should be able to discuss our game. Like we we shouldn't have to pretend cave 4 doesn't exist or anything so we don't get sad or we don't feel so we don't get reminded of how long we've been waiting. Even if I don't mention it, I can make a video about Kyrie's potential in Kingdom Hearts 4, right? Which I I probably have done in the past. Um, and you know, a lot of people like the be the mood is going to is going to either be half comments actually talking about the topic or have comments that are like, man, we got nothing to talk about.

Like for me, I agree back then two was the best combat system period. You know, like I like I I defended Osaka games back then, but even though I defended Osaka games back then, I 100% thought Cage 2 had the best combat 100%. Right. Oh, okay. I almost died. Someone has to be wrong. Someone has to be right. People like uh people don't like gray areas. People like extreme.

[00:17:25]um when they're conversating. So, for the extreme side of the combo, like it can't be both the fans and Square's fault, even though that's what it really is. Um cuz case by case-wise, let's talk about the let's talk about the gray area a little bit. The gray area of the KH3 uh debate is realistically KH3 was a game that had unrealistic expectations set upon it. The game probably would not be as polarizing if the game came out a lot earlier, if people didn't wait so long for the game, yada yada, right? But at the same time, it's also kind of on Square to meet those expectations. Like Square should be just as aware of the weight, just as aware of the buildup, just as aware of how excited fans are for it as the fans are. So realistically, Square Enix should have met those expectations a little better for a wider audience of people.

[00:18:29]So it's a little on them. They shouldn't have spoiled some things in trails. They shouldn't have done this. They shouldn't have done that. There's a lot of like that on both sides. Um, but we're fans and fans at the end of the day, the main control we have over anything is how the game is received when it comes out and just anticipating it, period. Right. So, are fans in the wrong for hyping KH3 up?

So, people make things sound more extreme than they probably actually are.

[01:25:56]I mean, not not to discount what anyone was saying, just like, what are you talking about? sometimes, you know, like I I think at a certain point with some games, you got to just uh you got to just realize, man, some sometimes some some things just ain't for you. Um I especially notice this a lot among the JRPG community. Like I feel like they're so critical of things, man. Like JRPG fans are as critical as fighting game fans are. They complain as much as fighting game fans do about uh mechanics in fighting games.

[01:26:30]And maybe my perspective is skewed on this, but I feel like there's there's reason to be objective with fighting game prote certain things are jank. You know what I mean? Now, some things that are a little more subjective like, well, what uh what what story beats, you know, hit hit your emotions is very subjective to the experiences a person had in their life.

[01:26:55]Um, but people still get so argumentative about it. Like people uh >> people critique JRPGs sometimes like they put them under a microscope when sometimes they're just supposed to be experiences.

[01:27:12]I don't know. I I I know like to someone my take is controversial, but that that's like my feeling about it. If you are like someone like people there's people who find like a lot of enjoyment in that and I don't want to take away their enjoyment. So like if if that's something you enjoy. I I guess I get it.

[01:27:38]Like I find it very often that people who try to be more objective or try to be more logical with their critiques are always somehow arguing with people who don't think the way they do. Clone Wars is like one of the first pieces of Star Wars media that actually had like normal voice acting.

And you know, admittedly, I'm saying admittedly a lot, when you point out the pauses, like the weird like there are some moments in Kingdom Hearts where there are like long pauses between like sentences and statements and stuff, but I never noticed that as a kid. Okay, Luji's final scene in Dark Row was great, but the build up to Union Cross ending just felt more impactful. Like being there like while while it was all happening was such a special experience.

[01:44:00]So like there's more there's more connective tissue like for me as a as a fan and as as a part of the community with Union Cross than there's Dark Road.

[01:44:08]Even though I think Dark Row was also like really good and there was plenty of things to say about Dark Road that might not have been up during your cross. Like I'd say the weakest thing about Dark Row in comparison to Union Cross is uh the cast of characters was not as strong.
