Forklift Re-Enters the Atmosphere | Junkyard JoustAdded:
If there's any doubt whether a team is ready for the action of the big leagues of Junkyard Joust, they get sent to the minor leagues where they compete to make it back to the upper echelon. Hi everybody, welcome back to the Junkyard Joust. It's the minor leagues and only five teams are going to make it out of this.
First five teams are Sugar Crash, a team of Coke and one Pepsi vehicle. Wizard Apocalypse, who did not make it out of the minor leagues last season. Cartoon Smash, who we haven't seen for a long time. This time a Scooby-Doo theme. War Pigs, who always come well equipped and who we also haven't seen for a while.
And Clown Town, who also didn't make it out of the minor leagues last season.
The way this works is all 25 cars go down every time and they try to rack up enough points to land in the top five at the end. The cameras are primed. Evil Weevil is in position. There's the end of the track where all the action is going to be taking place. Let's joust.
Here we go. Round one, we'll start off with the war pigs. Because of how many teams are competing, we won't show every hit, but we will show you the highlights. As usual, the goal is just to have as many cars surviving at the end of the round as possible. Cars are eliminated if they are sideways or upside down at the end of the round. A good recovery there for the War Pigs.
Clown Town sends down their starter and there's Shaggy who flips off and goes over. Can't quite make a recovery and that'll be our first elimination of round one. Sugar Crash sends down their only car and then there's a car. Four War Pigs are back around the roster again. Nice landing there. It recovers.
Chunk broke off though. Oh, and the bumper got sheared off of that car for Sugar Crash. So, the damage is piling up. Some cars jostling for position. And no eliminations right there. A recovery for Sugar Crash. No self elimination.
Some cars sliding off. Couple of close calls. Still just one elimination.
And there that Coke car goes over sideways. That's going to be a loss for Sugar Crash. Clown Town's in trouble up front. Warp Pigs has a car in trouble on the track. Very vulnerable though it does manage an escape after that hit from Wizard Apocalypse. Then there's a big hit from Hando the Clown for Clown Town. Bad news for Clown Town. The only car eliminated on that hit was one of their own, possibly even two. And they helped Shaggy recover for Cartoon Smash.
Unbelievable recovery, by the way. And they are not going to make it out of the minor leagues with that. Good recovery there for Wizard Apocalypse up against the fence. Warig's got one that's close to 45. The Pepsi truck with a big hit.
Daphne gets thrown out. Pretty tight line forming, but the Wizard van up front gets forced off the track. It doesn't go over though, to its credit.
Once all 25 cars have gone, round one will be over and they'll all go back up to the top. There's Velma ramping off of the Clowntown vehicle and making a nice turnover to a recovery. If you happen to recognize that Coke truck, it was inside a giant ornament last Christmas. This time though, not doing so well. Doesn't have that ornament too protected. Some more ramping kind of happening on that clown town vehicle. Even the undercut for Wizard Apocalypse can't get underneath. War pigs lose one there. The Undercutter escapes and more vehicles are lining up. Looks like that's going to do it for round one. Let's see which teams got some points. Looks like there were six eliminations, but none on the Wizard Apocalypse team. Five points for them. Great start. Cartoon Smash also did not lose a car. War Pigs lost two.
They will only get three points. Sugar Crash, same story for them. And Clown Town, self-inflicted wounds, two of them. Don't forget, any car that doesn't get eliminated in all four of these runs will garner their team a bonus point.
Those bonus points will come in clutch.
Trust me when we get to the scoring. Any good team is going to have some cars that can survive anything. So far, that vehicle for War Pigs, I believe it is from Halo, a Warthog. It does a great job at surviving that hit from Wizard Apocalypse. Good rollover. Something else to consider about the minor leagues, all the teams that are going to be competing in this season might be looking at some of these cars and trying to add them to their team if they can, especially if the team doesn't make it out. An elimination there. Velma gets stuck up against the crates and will be the first elimination in round two. And there goes Hando. Just about tumbles over, tries to get out of there. Cannot do it. The van for Wizard Apocalypse is taken out by the Coke truck. somehow got underneath it. And now Hando gets pushed off to safety. And that hit right there.
The Wizard Apocalypse team loses one. If it stays like that, that will be their first loss in this competition so far.
Big hit from the Pepsi truck doesn't do anything. We got some lining up. There's the ramp. War pigs. Great recovery.
These two vehicles for War Pigs are stellar. And Wizard Apocalypse has gotten underneath the ramp vehicle for Clown Town. A piece breaks off of the Mystery Machine. Big hit. More damage.
It goes up, but it survives for the moment despite losing a chunk. And now that vehicle for Wizard Apocalypse takes its toll, knocking the Pepsi truck off the track. Sugar Crash to me looks like a team that needs to stay on the track to stay alive. And so that's going to be a loss for them. And now War Pigs are going to lose another one. The undercut devastating there from Wizard. We saw that car last season in the minor leagues and it was very impressive.
Surprised it didn't get drafted by a team in the majors. And now a big plunging hit from the mystery machine for Cartoon Smash. It knocks that undercutter out. Takes out another car for Sugar Crash. They are looking like they're in trouble here. They are going to have to get as many points as they can in the upcoming rounds to stay alive in the rankings. Some more cars line up here at the end of the round, but no more eliminations. Nice recovery there for the War Pigs. That will do it for the second attempt. Eight cars taken down this time. A tougher round for the teams. These different running orders can change things up. Cartoon Smash still doing well. Only one, so they get four. War Pigs lose one, they get four.
Same story for Clown Town. A better turn for them. No self- eliminations, I don't think. and Sugar Crash only three.
Wizard Apocalypse a tough round for them after a perfect one. Only two points in that round. That means Cartoon Smash is out in the lead with nine points right now. They are doing well for themselves.
These other teams need to step it up in this third round. The wizard van is locked in. Locked in pretty well. And Velma gets bounced back then pushed forward again by that Coke truck.
Escapes though. Got some decent agility on that car. The Velma and Dafty cars both have plastic bottoms and they are showing some pretty good survivability despite that. I honestly didn't know what to expect from the Cartoon Smash team, but so far they have surprised me.
Nice recovery there by Daphne as I speak about that. And there goes that Coke car again. The third time that thing has been eliminated. It is definitely not a good jouster. That flat vehicle for Wizard Apocalypse doesn't have any wheels. Pretty good at surviving though, all things considered. It's good at sliding as well. Unlucky landing there for War Pigs. They are going to lose a car that maybe could have been a bonus point. It hits a height of six and then just can't quite flip it back around again. Tough loss for them. Back to the track. A little more jostling for position. And there the mystery machine gets thrown into the crates and taken out. Can't make a recovery against the crates. The crates often take cars down that wouldn't necessarily get taken out.
It's just a fact of the joust. A lot more action here and finally another elimination. Clowntown loses two in short succession. Unfortunate for them that is going to dim their hopes of making it to the big leagues. Of course, when I say big leagues, I mean just make it to the qualifiers. Wizard Apocalypse loses their undercutter. And that is the third time that truck has been eliminated for War Pigs. Definitely also not great at the joust. And there's Hando getting tipped over after overextending himself a little bit. And that's going to be another loss for Clown Town who could not afford it. And now the Mystery Machine with a surprise hop right there. Drives over the Wizard Apocalypse car and goes upright in a strange position. Stays alive. Now the Wizard Apocalypse car got taken down by the Coke van. And I think the mystery machine that's going to be a survive.
And then the end of the round is already upon us as the remaining cars line up.
No more eliminations there, but we did get eight more in this round. Another pretty devastating round overall. Let's take a look at the points. Another good round for Cartoon Smash. Four points added to their total. Sugar Crash had a decent round. That will give them four.
We'll see if that's enough to do anything. War Peg still only three.
Doesn't look great for them right now.
Wizard Apocalypse, a middle of the road round, three. And Clown Town, oopsie, only two points. That puts Cartoon Smash well out ahead with 13 points. Everybody else around 10 or so, but a lot of teams still to compete.
There goes Velma off the track over this time. And look at that. Right at the last second, recovers. And then Clown Town's car and Sugar Crash's Coke Truck.
both destroyed by that hit from Wizard Apocalypse. Recovery by the clown car.
And then Wthog finally loses its mojo and ends up sideways eliminated. A big loss for War Pigs, especially in this final fourth round. There goes the Mystery Machine. It clips over to a nice landing. Good recovery for that. That is the Lego Mystery Machine. Of course, we've got two of them in the match. The Coke pickup slams into the line, pushes that vehicle forward for Wizard Apocalypse. It's going under the Pepsi truck again. Two good recoveries there by those two cars.
And then a big punch from Hando. The clown pushes all the cars up. And then a second punch from Shaggy causes the Pepsi truck to topple. Eliminated again though that Coke pickup survives. Couple more cars line up and then the wizard van goes over. Finally toppled. I believe that would be ruled as beyond 45. Little shake up here and there, but nothing major. And then the mystery machine is taken out. I don't think that mystery machine had been eliminated yet.
So that's a tough loss for Cartoon Smash. They could have got a bonus point if it had just lived out the round.
Undercut though, not much it could do.
There goes Hando. Hando is going up. A chance to make it into the qualifiers for Clown Town. They need every car they can get. Farther back, the other clown car gets pushed off the track. And that looks close to 45.
Undercut there for Wizard Apocalypse.
And there goes Daphne. Daphne taken out.
Another potential bonus point lost for Cartoon Smash. I don't think Daphne had been eliminated so far. And there goes the Coke Van with a roll over. Another elimination. This has been a tough round so far. And now it's over. Seven eliminations in this final test of these five teams. Let's see how it all plays out for them. Clown Town had a good round. They needed that. Wizard Apocalypse with four, only one down. War Pigs only one down. Four points for them. Cartoon Smash gets three. Their worst round so far, but I think they're still ahead. Sugar Crash. Bad round for them. I don't think they're going to make it. And with three matches to go, our preliminary leader is Cartoon Smash with 17. Got that one bonus point.
Apocalypse, Clown Town, and War Piggs all at 15. Sugar Crash pretty much toast at 12. Let's jump right into the second matchup. Here's a team that is hotly anticipated. Forklift and Friends are back. And what an interesting mix they've got. Trulent are going with the tow truck theme again, hoping it will do better. Racing Drones are back. We have not seen them for a long time. They'll be testing out their team. Pace Notes are going to give it another try.
Hopefully, they'll do a little better than last time. And Snow Piercers also in the same boat. They want to become a real team and get a logo if they make it to the regular joust. We're already underway as Forklift and Friends have begun. Truck with a little bucket on the side to maybe help it balance a little bit better. Multiple cars zooming into position. A little tussling there, but no eliminations yet in this round.
Scored a beat right now, of course, 17.
And the pace notes are in trouble. There goes their first vehicle already taken down. Unlucky for them. Stuck up against the side of the track. Forklift and friends have some bruisers here. And that semi has what I think are hoses that kind of work like a ramp right there for that truckulin tow truck.
Donatello is about to go over and does get off the track on the next hit. There goes the tanker. Knocked off the track. Nice hit from Pace. Now it's taking that down. Donatello has escaped and now that Pace Notes truck is balancing. Ooh, it got taken down by the racing drowns. Nice little hit there.
Another loss for Pace Notes already.
Snow Piercers send down a car. And look at this. A little break for pace notes.
Amazing recovery by that Bronco. Man, that was impressive. Good sign for them.
It just needed a little bit of a boost.
Looks like some wind is jostling the camera here. We're getting some heavy wind out there. I wonder if that will affect how things go. Looks like Snow Piercers just lost one, but then it's back again. It got squeezed out and then flipped over. And now the racing drones have a car playing dead on the track.
And we'll see if it can recover.
Wow, that was close. Incredible pivot at the last second. And it did recover.
Here comes a ramp. Forklift and friends have a ramp. And what a great way to test out these teams and make sure they can handle this type of thing. Truculent having no problem with it right there.
The rally car for pace notes flipping and flopping and finding a perfect landing. Good spot to plant. It bounces over everybody. Fun to see that car in action. The ramp is off the track now.
Curbside and Forklift and friends are in trouble. Their ramp truck dislodged already. Bunch of cars line up and Forklift comes down. Tries to get underneath. Can't really do it. Escapes the track successfully though and that's what counts. The orange car for pace notes. Sends that tow truck into the sky. Tumbling all over the place. And a great recovery, great agility. Trculent looking pretty solid right here so far.
Racing drowns with a takedown attempt and is successful. Pace is going to lose one. Just a little bit hung up on the fuel truck eliminated. And there goes the car for racing drones into the sky.
The highest hit we have seen so far.
Making it up to a seven before failing to land it. Going upside down. Bad bounce. Pretty sure that was upside down. Yep, it is out. A nice hit from that Porsche for the snow piercers.
Seven eliminations in that round. That seems to be about the average so far.
Great news for Trculent fans. No eliminations, five points. One loss for Snow Piercers. They get four. Forklift and Friends lost two. They only have three points. Racing drones get three.
Pace notes get three as well. only truckulence so far with a perfect round as pace notes start us off right now. It looks like teams are going to want to average oh about four points per round if they want to have a shot at making it out of the minor leagues. And there goes the Bronco. Or is that a blazer? I'm not sure. But either way, it is sideways right now. An early loss or pace notes.
And here we go. Cars are lining up.
There is a big jumble forming. Telephone maintenance does not flip over. for a little bit of help there and a nice recovery for racing drones. No more eliminations yet. More action. Cars are all over the place. Ooh, racing drones are going to lose that car again. It is easy to shovel off of the track and it doesn't seem to want to recover or it gets tangled up. Being able to stay on the track is key in the junkyard joust.
If you get thrown off, you got to be able to survive. And the tow truck right there does it. Forklift and friends.
Bobcat starting to tip a little bit and it's trying to escape. It looks like it did. Pace notes. Lose another car. It can't quite make it over. Doesn't flip.
Gets stuck. Maybe a victim of its own weight. A big hit here from the ramp for forklift and friends. It does damage.
Racing drones lose one. A lot of damage in terms of paint as well. Paint chips flying all over the place. Ramp is set up. Here we go. Racing drones take it first with that gold vehicle and it recovers. A beautiful bit of agility right there over by tires and safe. One of the return vehicles for Trculent.
There it goes. Takes that ramp, humps up in the air, loses a chunk, but still pulls off a perfect landing. Finds a parking spot and takes it. This little guy for pace notes is good at surviving that ramp. There goes the Porsche for snow piercers. Ooh, bad landing. It tries to twist over, but it gets stopped by the truckulent tow truck. That might be the only loss for Snow Pierces right now. It's Forklift. Forklift takes the ramp and does what Forklift always does.
Flips around in a hilarious way. Cookie goes flying out. Perfect flip. Perfect landing. Classic forklift. Love to see it. Almost an undercut there for racing drones. The ramp might be neutralized here. Hollerback with a nice escape there. Almost over easy, but made it out of that position and survives. And that'll end round two. And if I'm not mistaken, that was the best round so far. Only five eliminations despite that ramp. Look at this. Trculent five points. Forkliftton Friends perfect.
Snow Piercers lost one. Racing drones got three. And Pace Notes got three.
Trulent has an impressive perfect score right now. Good news for them. Snow Piercers and Forklift are not bad at eight. That's the average I was talking about at four per round. A couple teams turning in perfect scores. That will help them a lot. And round three is already in full swing. Donatello gets bashed by that car from Racing Drowns, but escapes. Good balance. Hasn't totally escaped. Ooh, and doesn't totally escape. Could that be Trculent's first loss? Snow Piercers with a nice takedown right there. cannot take down racing drones, however. And then Snow Piercers gets savaged by the telephone maintenance vehicle. Wow, devastating takedown, smashing it over into the tires, knocking over a cowboy of some sort. Now it's starting to feel more like a rodeo here in the minor leagues.
It's time to line them up so we can knock them down. That car for racing drones finally recovers. It was 0 for two and now it's one for three. An elimination for Trulant here. They are having a bad round. The mighty are falling a little bit. Big hit from that tanker. It doesn't do any damage. And there goes the Blazer/B Bronco for pace notes again getting eliminated. Pace notes are sinking into the muck here.
Even deeper than they were so far. No more eliminations in the round until now. Nope. No. Still no more. Impressive hit there from the Porsche. Three cars affected. An opportunity there for a triple takedown, but they all recover.
And here comes the ramp for Fortlift.
The Bobcat kind of escapes the track just about completely. No eliminations on that hit. Pace Notes car goes up, but it's not out yet. And there's another car for the Pace Notes. Ooh man, they are having a tough time in the minor leagues, and I don't think they're getting out anytime soon. Truculan is struggling for points in this round, but it looks like they will probably be okay. Actually, that's close to 45, but I think it's a recovery. And oh, did you see that? Racing drones just held Peace Notes out. They thought they were sinking, but that is going to give them another point now. Maybe there's hope after all. No hope for the ramp here as it pops off the track. Adept little maneuver staying alive. Snow Piercers trying to take it down. Can't do it.
Forklift goes for some revenge and kind of gets it. Snow Piercers are going to lose one there after that hit from pace notes. And that'll do it for round three. That was a wild round. We have seven eliminations, but I tell you what, two teams have perfect scores. It's going to be racing drones with their first perfect and forklift and friends with another five round. That is going to help them. Pace unfortunately only three. They are consistently meh. And Snow Piercers got three that time. That is down one from their usual four.
Trculent with a stunningly bad round.
Three eliminations. Wow, they are suddenly not looking as great. Now Forklift and Friends are in the lead with truckulent racing drones and snow piercers close behind. Pace notes lagging at nine. All the teams have a shot here. This round is extremely important and racing drones with the good recovery right there. This round alone will make or break four of the five teams. Pace notes are probably done. Snow Piercers get elimination there and so did Trulant. That is bad news for both of them. They need those points. They need those cars and they're going to need the bonus points. Another roll over for pace notes. They are surely finished.
And racing drones can ill afford that take down right there. Trculent taking out that car. I think that's the third time it's been out. Maybe chop off those bits on the end and this thing would be better at jousting. But as is, not so great. Another big hit from the tanker.
Didn't do much damage. The ramping tubes don't work. And look at this. Donatello has revived himself. Trculent cheering from the sidelines for this moment. They wanted the points and there they got it.
More big mistakes from Pace Notes. They are struggling as a team. They don't have any direction here. They're going to have to completely go back to the drawing board if they're going to come back to the joust. Close call there for racing drones. It looks like that is probably in. Yep, it has recovered now after a couple more hits. There is the ramp truck for forklift. It gets a little high for some reason and can't set up at all. It goes careening off the track. Takes out yet another pace notes car on the way there. Are they going to have any left at the end of uh this round? Racing drones get a little recovery right there. And no more eliminations until Oh, there we go.
Racing drones do lose a car they haven't lost so far. That is a big loss for them. No bonus point. Wait a minute.
It's back again. Never mind. Looks like they will be getting a bonus point for that. Forklift has done them a huge favor. Although that other car that was back might be out now. Paceotes are going to have one vehicle survive the round. And that is going to do it for the final round in this heat. Seven eliminations and we've got some more perfects. And I think there's going to be a couple teams pretty far out in the lead. Truculent five points. And as you can see behind them, Forklift and Friends, five points as well. Perfect.
Snow Piercers very consistent with four.
Racing drones lost two. They are down to three. I don't think they're making it.
And Pace Notes very, very bad. One point. An impressive 21 points for F for Forklift and Friends puts them at the top of the heap. followed by Trulant.
Racing drones and snow piercers got 16.
Pace Notes got 10. And here is the current tabulations. Forklift and Friends 21. Trulent 19. Cartoon Smash 17. Racing drowns and Snow Piercers close behind at 16. All the other teams are out. We are halfway through heading into the remaining two matches. The five teams in this seat. We start off with Bonsai Boys. They were not able to get out last time. Neither was Shining Steel. They're going to give it another shot. The Conquerors. Another team that has not made it out of the minor leagues. The Thunder Cutters. Now, here is a team from long, long ago. Looks like a lot of undercutting potential.
Jousters of the Universe are back with a new lineup. And it looks like they've got some support on the sidelines. It is Tila. Tila hanging out with Baby Cookie over by the portaotti. Very classy. Now we begin round one. Starting off with the Bonsai boys. So right now as it stands, Forklift and Friends and Trulent both have very good scores and that's about where these teams are going to want to go if they want to make it into the regular joust. The Conquerors off to a rough start. Topheavy SUVs aren't always the best jousters, but you never know. In this case though, bad start and not a bad start for the rest of the teams. That Bronco locks in for the Conquerors, but loses its roof. Who needs it, I guess? And then the Thunder Cutters come down with a nasty undercut, and it annihilates the Bronco. The spare tire got completely sheared off the back of the truck. And look at this. It went right over into the pile of tires right down below me in the tower. Very appropriate. And I guess that's where it's going to stay. Shining Steel with a nice recovery there. Bonsai boys. Oh man, they lose one of theirs. Bronco can't quite make a recovery. And then the Conquerors do not lose another one.
Lucky for them, but the Thunder Cutters lose their first. Not a whole lot of eliminations in the round so far, though. Good news for these teams. And now the incoming vehicles are finding a very tight line. Hard to escape. Looks like one of the Bonsai Boy wagons is sideways up front. A couple more shves and look at that. It makes a recovery after being squeezed off the track.
There goes a conqueror and then a nasty undercut there from Thunder Cutters. But no eliminations. Good recovery by that SUV. Shining steel. They lose one on that hit. And one of the Bonsai boys is parked on a Thunder Cutter right now after a hit from Skeletor. Skeletor immediately pinched out and goes off the track. And now Bonsai going to lose one too. So that was a double takedown there. Unfortunately, a self-elimination for Bonsai. And Thunder Cutters now lose that devastating undercutter that just did the damage. Couple more hits before the end of the round. Ooh, Thunder Cutters are going to lose another. That looks bad for them. Tough first round, but we've seen teams come back from something like this so far. And comebacks is the name of the game. 10 eliminations in this round. Only one for Jousters. They got four. Only one for Shining Steel. They're good at four.
Bonsai boys lost two, only three. The Conquerors lost three. A dismal opening round. Same story for the Thunder Cutters. Only two points. So basically, all of these teams are starting off on the back foot here. Not a single perfect round amongst all of them, but hey, they can learn from their mistakes and try to make it happen in the following three rounds coming up here. Here we go.
Conquerors already off to a rough start with an unbalanced car up front, but then it recovers and that is great news for them. Thunder Cutters get another takedown. They take out the Jousters of the Universe starter vehicle. Thunder Cutters proving to be a very offensive team. They are not super great at surviving as judged by the first round, but you shouldn't judge an undercutter by its cover. They could still very easily come back and get three perfect rounds. You just never know. Skeletor gets eliminated on that hit. Conquerors are just about escaped. And another attempted takedown by the Thunder Cutters. It does not work. The wagon survives. And it looks like that other red Thunder Cutter is good to go.
Shining Steel now in danger getting pushed up. And there's a recovery, but not for the Thunder Cutters. They will lose one on that hit but Shining Steel are okay until now pushed up but then it flops back again and then is forced into the wall but rebounds and recovers yet again. I think that might be a Mercedes and there goes one of the vehicles for Bonsai boys, one of the wagons. It struggles. It can't get away from being sideways. Shining Steel gets underneath one of the undercutters ironically and then it gets thrown off the track upside down. Thunder Cutters not looking good right now. Here comes He-Man. Can't get past that Conqueror and then gets thrown off the track and goes sideways. Taken out. Bonsai boys with another taked down. Actually a double. And there goes one of the Conqueror's vehicles. One of the Thunder Cutters doesn't get an undercut there. And Shining Steel tosses it off the track. Another loss for Jousters of the Universe. It looks like it could be a tough round for them.
There goes the top off of that Bronco again. But the Broncos survives for the moment, but then it is smacked off the track straight upside down by the van for Jousters of the Universe. Nice taked down there. The van holds steady on a big hit from Bonsai Boys and still holds steady after almost getting undercut.
Nice recovery by that wagon. And Shining Steel will round us out. And I've got bad news for these teams. 10 eliminations yet again. A tough match it has been. But I've got great news for Shining Steel. They did not lose one.
Five points. Bonsai boys with three this round. Same for the Conquerors. A slightly better round for the Thunder Cutters. And a terrible round for Jousters of the Universe. Only the Van surviving. Taking a look at the scores right now. We've got one shining example of success. It's Shining Steel. Bonsai boys are barely keeping their head above water. And the other three teams are going to need a miracle to make it.
Jousters of the Universe start us off.
They are going to need an impressive score for the remaining two rounds. At least one perfect, I'd say, if they want a chance. Shining Steel getting underneath the Conqueror's vehicle. It is in a perilous position. Somehow stays steady after a couple big hits and then finally is thrown off and over. An elimination there for Thunder Cutters.
They are just a devastating team. heavy undercutters, but unfortunately not a ton of stability for a few of their cars. We'll see if they can pull something out here. What a recovery there for Shining Steel. Wouldn't expect that car to be agile, but it is. There's an elimination for Thunder Cutters pushed up against the crates. I don't think it's coming back from that. No eliminations on any of these other hits.
Some good recoveries.
And then a hit from Shining Steel takes off the roof yet again. And no recovery though. That green undercutter does survive the hit. Now we've just got two shining steel cars left on the track.
They are pretty decent at locking it in apparently. But if you lock it in on the track upside down, it doesn't do you any good. Little bit of a jumble going though here. Honestly, super loose. And there is a takedown. Jousters of the Universe almost certainly toast. Nice hit there. Saw some damage. Good recovery for the Conquerors on top of a pile of cars that's forming, but then it starts to tip and it might be out. That could be a loss for Bonsai boys. And it is goes over sideways. The Bonsai boys are going to lose a wagon there. One of the undercutters gets taken out, but I think it probably recovered. Yep, it's settling down. It totally recovered. Got some cars loose on the track. And that will do it for round three in heat three. These teams are getting a little bit better. We had five eliminations. That is half of what the first two rounds were. Shining Steel with an amazing performance here.
Perfect. Four for the Thunder Cutters.
Much better for them. They have been improving every round. Bonsai Boys get four. And Jousters of the Universe brought it back and they get four. And the Conquerors pick up three. Still a good round overall. And looking at the current point totals, Shining Steel and Bonsai Boys might be the only two teams that have a chance right now. The other three teams, even if they had a perfect round, I don't think they'd be able to make it. Two cars lined up and Jousters have a little better luck with their starter vehicle. No eliminations yet here in round four. All these teams obviously need a great round. They need to keep it up like they did in round three. Conquerors. Well, it was probably never going to happen for them. We are backing down the track now. Skeletor with a nice takedown there. Escapes as well. That's how you want to do it.
Might be a little late, but that may have affected Bonsai Boys if they can't get that wagon back upright again.
Almost a recovery there for Conquerors.
That vehicle had been very good for them, but now they're not going to get a bonus point. Not that it really matters.
Thunder Cutters lose one there. They've lost that one before, so they won't be lacking that bonus point. Jousters of the Universe have never lost that van.
That van seems like it might be the best one on the team. Thunder Cutters with an undercut there. I saw some damage, too.
Something flew off. And now the whole vehicle goes up and over. Taken out.
Thunder Cutters, though. Recover. Here comes a Woody Wagon. And it tries to take out a Shining Steel vehicle and does it. No perfect score for Shining Steel this time, but they are still doing well. Another hit from He-Man. And then He-Man is booted off the track by that Jeep. Apparently He-Man and his muscles a little too heavy and tips over. That'll be a loss for Jousters.
Thunder Cutters with another nasty takedown. Showing no mercy to the Conquerors who have never really conquered anything, at least not in the junkyard joust. Nice recovery there for Thunder Cutters. Bonsai wagon goes sideways on the track. Going to need another hit to get back upright. Can it do it? No, it's taken out. That was one that hasn't been eliminated so far.
Bonsai needed that. And look at this.
He-Man recovers after all that. He-Man is back upright again, but Bonsai going to lose a bonus point and a regular point. Take down there. And that'll do it for the third heat. Six eliminations this time. A much better performance still than the first two rounds. And the most impressive team this time, Jousters of the Universe. Somehow they didn't lose a car. Five points. Four points for Bonsai. That is great. Shining Steel, four points. Good news for them. Thunder Cutters with four also. And the Conquerors somehow got entirely annihilated and will get zero points.
Well, I'm not sure we'll be seeing them again. Now to the scoreboard. Shining Steel, four points plus three bonus points. Three cars that never got eliminated. That puts them at 21, tied for the lead. Bonsai did okay, but only one perfect record bonus puts them at 15 and they drop the standings after three.
Forklift and Shining Steel stand to top the Heap. Trculent at 19, Cartoon Smash 17, and the Racing Drones alone at 16.
We've got five teams, but guess what?
There's still five more and they want in. Quick and Queralus are back with a brand new lineup. Stranger Danger are back with some new vehicles. They did not make it out last season. The Bubble Bursters, same story for them. Brand new team. Sweet and Low. We haven't seen them for a little bit. And they are back with a very nice looking team. Bragged Rust. They also did not make it out of the minor leagues. So, let's see if they can do it. Round one. Here we go.
Starting off with Sweet and Low, they know what they have to do. They have to get 16 or more. Obviously, the more points you get, the better chance you're going to have. A nice recovery right off the bat for Bubble Bursters. It was tough to tell if that car was going to have good agility, but it starts off with it. And now Quick and Quless on the ropes here, but surviving for the moment. And there's a nice hit by Sweet and Low. Tries to take out one of the vans for Stranger Danger, but can't do it. No eliminations yet. Could we get one here? Looks like we might. No, I don't know. Actually, the van for Stranger Danger could be out. It's tough to say at the moment, but what a recovery by bubble bursters. There we go. We do have an elimination. The van is officially out. The great tumble over for Quick and Quasless. Bunch of cars came down and there is an almost takedown. Quick and Quirless trying to get some eliminations with that Lambo.
Looks like that spare tire that came off the car from Sweet and Low just got hurled off into who knows where. If it landed in another tire pile, I would be impressed. Looks like we're going to lose a van on that hit. Nope, it landed over on the tarmac. The Insanity van comes down and the Lambo looks like it's out, but then suddenly it just flops back down and saves itself. Rag and Rust lose one on that hit from Sweet and Low.
Here comes the Caprice for Quick and Quirus. It cannot take down that car from Bubble Bursters. They don't have an elimination yet. That's good news for them. And Ragged Rest loses another. Not a good start. Couple of cars line up.
Then there's an undercut from Bubble Bursters. It cannot take out the Lincoln. Then it gets just about taken out, but a beautiful roll over. Good agility on that recovery. And the van even recovers. And then here comes Sickens Vet Van. It does not get underneath. can't get an undercut. And that'll do it for round one. And wow, we are off to a great start for all of these teams. Only four losses. Quick and Quistless, five points. Perfect. Bubble Bursters, perfect. Sweet and Low also great. Stranger Danger loses two, only going to get three. And Rag and Rust will get three. Pretty decent round for all of the teams. That bodess well for them, but not for the teams that are hovering on the low end of the top five right now. The lightweight van for Stranger Danger ends up on top of the Chevy truck and then goes into the crates and smashes backwards, surviving a nice flat level escape for Sweet and Low there. And now we've got four cars lined up. A push in from the vet van. No undercut. The vet van gets pushed off.
It is safe. I don't think there's been an elimination yet. Nope. Everybody looks good. These five teams are looking very solid right now. It's going to be tough to find eliminations amongst them, I suspect. Just about had a rollover for Quick and Qualless. Ooh, there goes the Lambo. Wow, nice recovery for that car.
Lambo's not often good at recovering, but that thing has been okay so far. And now the Capri takes down a car for Ragged Rust. I think that's an Impala lying there upside down with the hood open. Amazingly, the only elimination for the round so far. Everybody coming down. We're backing up. No eliminations.
This ought to do something here. Big hit from Stranger Danger. And yeah, Rust are going to lose another one. But as far as I can see, they are the only team that has lost cars in this round.
Wouldn't that be crazy? There is the Caprice up front. Squeezed off the track. Goes over sideways. A loss for Quick and Quless. Finally, another car goes over and out. And that is going to be it. Wow, we are going to have some fivepoint runs this time around. A lot of action, a lot of cars jumbled up, but just barely any eliminations, five for bubble bursters, stranger danger five, sweet and low five again.
Quick and quirless four, and ragged rust just three. So right now as it stands, Bubble Bursters and Sweet and Low have not lost a car, both at 10 points. Quick and Quless not far behind at nine.
Stranger Danger is doing respectably at eight points. And only Ragged Rust is lagging behind, but they could still pull this out. Bubble Burst starter car takes off the bumper on the ragged rust car in front of it. Smashes that thing.
Just kind of picks it off and then gets thrown off of the track and spins to a beautiful agile recovery. Then the Chevy truck sends that bumper all the way up front with a massive hit. We've got four cars backed up. That bumper just smashes into the crates and heads over to Evil Weevil. Five cars and now we got a car on top of the other car. Sweet and low.
Poised. Will it fall over to a recovery?
No, it does not. Gets caught on the side of the track and out. Some more cars lining up. We are backing up. These cars are so good at staying locked in. We have been backing up more than usual in this particular heat. Some more attempts to shove cars off. They don't work.
Finally, the bubble busters car gets thrown up into the air. It survives. The Lambo tries to get an undercut. We did get an elimination there for stranger danger. They lost one of their vans that they had last time around. And now we've got a jumble of trouble. Ooh, that Caprice with another taked down. Maybe a double. Not really sure, but it definitely got something to happen there. And now we're getting some takedowns. Wow. Oh my gosh, that was a triple takedown.
>> Triple take down >> here in the minor leagues. We just had a triple takedown by one of the cars from Ragged Rust. Stranger Danger unfortunately lost two in that hit.
Quick and Queralus lost one. Another big hit from a Quick and Quirus car and it does not get a takedown this time. Seven eliminations in this round three. That round mixed things up significantly.
Sweden though with a car that looks like it's beyond 45. And in a complete turnaround, Ragged Rust five points plus they had a triple takedown. Quick and Quarrelless four points. That is solid.
Bubble Bursters four points also good.
Sweet and Low three points. Not as good as their previous rounds. And Stranger Danger, they are in big trouble. Only two. Bubble Bursters in the lead now with 14. Close behind. Quick and Quless.
And Sweet and Low. Ragged Rust is making a go of it. Stranger Danger is probably done. And we are off already into round four. The lightweight van from Stranger Danger takes a tumble but keeps on wobbling. It has recovered and it does survive. No eliminations yet in the round. A lot of hits, a lot of cars coming down. There is a car that Bubble Bursters has not lost yet. Will they lose it now? Yes, it is convincingly upside down. Sweet and Low lost one, too. A nice hit there. Quick and Queralus have some good offensive power and they are showing it. Sweet and low kind of falling apart here in round four. or they have lost two cars already and I don't think they're going to be able to make it now. If they keep doing that, it's probably already over.
And there's some damage. I don't know what. I think it might have been the white vehicle on Bubble Bursters, but no eliminations there.
And there goes the car for Ragged Rust.
A beautiful recovery. Bubble Bursters on the ropes. That car needs to recover.
Playing dead. Yes, it was. And that thing has not been eliminated. That will be a bonus point for bubble bursters.
Another van taken out. It tries to recover. It was so close. And now the Continental is getting underneath the Lambo, but it survives. Ooh, that is a loss for bubble bursters. I can't remember if that one has already been eliminated, but they may have needed that. We'll see. The Caprice escapes and then the Insanity Van gets tossed off the track and over. Not looking like a good round for Stranger Danger. Ragged Rust is still having a pretty good round though, it looks like. And now the round is over. Will it have been enough for Ragged Rust? That was actually a tough round for eliminations. Nine in total.
Quick and Qualess though did not have a single one. Five points for them. Rag and Rust trying to pull it out at the last moment here. Five points. Sweet and low. Three points. Three points for Stranger Danger. Bubble Bursters get three. And let's see where those bonus points put them. Four bonus points for Quick and Quarrelless put them at 22.
Somehow the Capri was the only car that ever got eliminated for them. Bubble Bursters two bonus 19. Sweet and Low 2 18, Ragged Rust 17, and Stranger Danger just 13. So where do these teams land?
There it is. Bubble Bursters and Trulent make it in with 19 points. Shining Steel forklift and friends at 21 and Quick and Qualess with an impressive performance 22.
I think we know who they will be replacing. All of these teams that won will get to replace one of their cars and then they will join in the Junkyard Joust season 12 qualifiers. Become a patron now if you would like to sponsor cars in the new season or see preview videos of the medieval joust track that I am currently working on. It is getting so much closer and I've got some sample footage of the cars in action on the track. Thanks to all my patrons for supporting me as I begin another season.
You guys are the reason that I keep doing it. Cheers everybody. We'll see you soon.
