[00:00:12]>> And today we are back with a very special movie for you guys. Today we are watching Teen Wolf the movie. Obviously, we just wrapped up on Teen Wolf a couple weeks ago.

[00:00:22]It was a great journey to go on. Really happy with the way things ended. Uh, and now we're here with the movie. And you guys have made it very clear that this movie is very controversial. I know a lot of people don't even acknowledge its existence or say that like it's not canon just to ignore it, that it's bad.

[00:00:45]We've seen all the comments, but I think we are going to make our own assessment of this movie. I think we all also kind of agree that we we don't think Teen Wolf is like the best show ever. So, um I think that, you know, we'll we'll still be able to find a lot of enjoyment. Some we'll have fun watching this regardless if it, you know, if it's not the best story ever, which I'm not expecting it to be, but just seeing like all of our Beacon Hills characters again, uh I just know it's going to be cool. I'm pretty sure it's I I think they made this like five years or something after the original show ended, too. So, I'm excited to see everybody a bit older. I'm sure there's going to be some kind of time jump uh from the end of season 6 to now. I think we all do also know that uh Dylan O'Brien is not in this movie. We're not getting any styles, which definitely is going to, you know, hinder the experience a little bit. I think I definitely always preferred a Teen Wolf whenever Styles was a part of it and his presence was definitely missed a lot in season 6. But regardless, um I'm still excited to see who else is returning for this movie and uh I'm really looking forward to finally officially uh ending the Teen Wolf saga.

[01:03:54]I'm >> all right. Well, that is the Teen Wolf movie. I enjoyed it. I definitely think that, you know, it was getting a lot of too much hate in in the comments, you guys telling us not to watch it and stuff like that. I think that I enjoyed this more than I did all of 6B. I'll be honest with you. the whole like Monroe and the people of Beacon Hills are becoming bad. I just found this to be more entertaining. And maybe I shouldn't compare the two, but I just feel like this one was a lot of fun to watch. It just felt nostalgic. It was cool seeing like all of our familiar characters, you know, older, 15 years older. That was a big change. And obviously, you know, getting Allison back was very, very entertaining. I do think that there were some glaring problems with the movie as well, like the Harris reveal.

[01:04:55]Pretty awful if you ask me. I think that was probably my least favorite part about the whole movie was just the fact that it was the chemistry teacher Harris who brought back the noitsune because he wanted to get back at Scott. like that just felt like such a reach. I don't know. But uh I did like the fact that the No Gitsune was kind of the main villain of this movie. I always thought that No Gitsune was one of the best fil I mean his in my opinion his season is like my favorite part of Teen Wolf with Void Styles and all the on stuff. So it was really cool to see uh that return.

[01:05:36]Like I said in the the movie though, like it would have been way better if Styles was around just because I know that they would have done some kind of references and connections to Void Styles and that would have been very very cool to see return, but I'll take what I can get. I definitely enjoyed the movie. We would have been missing out honestly if we didn't watch this. But I mean, I guess like I can see, you know, if you're a diehard Teen Wolf fan, like there's probably some some things in this that you're like, "Well, I wish that this wouldn't have happened." Like Derek dying. Like that's a huge bummer now that, you know, I just have to when I think about Teen Wolf now, I'm just going to remember, oh [ __ ] they killed Derek Hail right at the very end. And that's that's pretty sad. Derek was definitely one of my favorite characters throughout. But I liked the little arc that they gave him in this movie of, you know, him becoming a father and trying to put his son on the right path and make sure that, you know, he becomes the werewolf that he's supposed to be and all that. I thought that was really good. Don't think that he needed to sacrifice himself in that situation, but uh for movie purposes, I think it worked out pretty well. And now Eli is going to be taken under Scott's wing. I think they were hinting too that whenever he's ready that Scott and Allison are going to adopt him. I feel like that's really cool. And yeah, just overall I really liked seeing all the characters again, like I said. And I thought that this was just a fun adventure at the end of the day. Like it wasn't anything crazy. I don't think that, you know, the the writing was particularly great or anything like that, but I just thought I had a lot of fun with this one.

[01:07:20]definitely didn't need to be almost two and a half hours long. I will say that.

[01:07:24]I feel like the final act felt so long.

[01:07:28]Like pretty much once they got to that big lacrosse field and then like felt like we were in the shadow realm for like 45 minutes there just [ __ ] around. But I don't I don't know that that was I think my biggest problem with it was like towards the end it just felt like it was dragging a bit and they were just like doing new [ __ ] to make it longer. But honestly, I feel like the first like hour and a half, I was pretty locked in. I I I thought it was pretty good. Yeah, I agree. I had a lot of fun with this movie. I definitely think we should I'm glad we watched it. A lot of stuff happened that I think people might not view as canon, but I think was really cool to watch. And just if you if you watch our reactions, you know, we love like cameos. You know, we love seeing everyone together. And this was that. A lot of the people didn't necessarily have any type of role in this though. They kind of just were there to be there. Like someone like Mason, Jackson, like they didn't really do Liam I guess Hikari Hikari did >> she served more of a purpose than anybody else.

[01:08:31]>> But yeah, a lot of people I don't know.

[01:08:33]It's just it was just fun and um I thought most of it was pretty good. I do think once they got to that big lacrosse game it kind of like took a weird turn and got pretty bad to be honest. after the Harris reveal, it was just like, >> yeah, but I didn't really know where else they could go with that reveal. Um, but I just I loved it. I I didn't love it. I liked it, >> but um >> I loved seeing and hearing Chris Argent and other characters say, "Fuck." That was great.

[01:09:04]>> Get this [ __ ] >> I liked Eli. I'm still confused how Dererick had that kid and we didn't know anything about that. Who's the mother?

[01:09:14]>> Yeah, it was really, really fun though.

[01:09:16]Um, I think a lot of people that watch our reactions, I'm assuming, watch this like growing up. I know a lot of people, you know, watch this as teenagers probably took it a bit more serious as a show than I'm sure we did watching it now as, you know, 26, 27 year old men.

[01:09:32]But we still have we have a lot of fun with the show. So, I don't think we were going into this expecting like the most serious awesome movie of all time. We didn't get that, but we didn't expect it. So, I feel like our bar was low and it was like pretty much just what I wanted. So, I had a great time watching this. Um, officially closing the book on the Teen Wolf series, though.

[01:09:56]>> Yeah, I also enjoyed it. I do think that the first half of the movie was a whole another level than the second half. Like you guys said, as soon as Harris got revealed, it went to [ __ ] But I think my favorite part was just seeing all the characters come in one by one and how they've aged and just get to I mean all of them aged fantastic by the way. They all look great still. I love Scott in this one. He looks awesome. Um he's definitely my favorite character. Uh he's just such a good dude. Always has been. Always been trying to get the best out of his pack, the best out of everyone. Save everyone. Never killed anyone. Just the goat of Teen Wolf. Um, >> slipping on your your guy Liam, bro.

[01:10:36]>> Yeah, I mean this episode or this movie, he was terrible. I mean, he did nothing.

[01:10:41]Uh, >> Scott's always been that guy.

[01:10:43]>> Yeah, he's he's sweet. Uh, yeah, but like said like the other charact like Liam sucked in this, Jackson didn't do anything. It's just it's just nice to have them there um and see them because they were from the actual show. So, that's that's just the plus there. But yeah, I don't think it needed to be this long. I did enjoy No. He was one of the cooler villains um from the show. I think my favorite villains were the Ghost Riders, though. I still think they were really cool, really scary, and it sucks that Dererick had to die. But the bright side, Allison is back. Gets to have a family with Scott with Derek, living on from Derek as his son, and they get to be part of uh Scott's family. I think it's a really good good touch. Good ending.
