The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) employs an advanced 'tunnel view' investigation approach to reconstruct events in criminal cases, involving minute-by-minute timeline reconstruction through CCTV footage analysis, mobile phone data examination, Wi-Fi logs, call detail records, and forensic mapping of physical spaces to establish who moved where, who entered or exited specific areas, and whether the sequence of events matches given statements, as demonstrated in the Twisha Sharma case where investigators are examining suspicious time gaps, CCTV discrepancies, and contradictions in testimonies to determine whether the incident was a suicide or something more complex.

Twisha Sharma Case Update | Inside CBI's "Tunnel View" Mapping Of Twisha Sharma's Final HoursAdded:
What really happened during the final hours of Twisha Sharma's life?
That is now the central question in a case that has triggered national attention.
Allegations of dowry harassment, claims of investigative lapses, and finally a Supreme Court monitored CBI probe.
Twisha Sharma was found hanging at her marital home in Bhopal on May 12th, just months after marrying lawyer Samarth Singh in December.
Now, with the CBI reconstructing her final movements minute by minute, the investigation is entering a far more intense phase.
Soon after Twisha Sharma's death, serious allegations emerged from her family. Her parents claimed Twisha had been facing mental harassment, dowry pressure, and physical abuse after her marriage to Samarth Singh.
Days before her death, Twisha had reportedly messaged her mother on WhatsApp saying she felt trapped in the marriage and was mentally tortured by her in-laws.
The family also questioned the initial police investigation pointing out that the FIR was registered 3 days after her death. As the case gained attention, allegations of inconsistencies and procedural lapses began surfacing publicly.
The investigation intensified after legal action against the accused family members. Last week, Twisha's husband Samarth Singh surrendered before a court after remaining absconding for nearly 10 days.
Then, on 28th March, the CBI took Twisha's mother-in-law Giribala Singh into custody after the Jabalpur High Court canceled her anticipatory bail.
Amid mounting questions over the investigation, the Supreme Court directed the CBI to take complete control of the case to ensure a faster and more centralized probe.
Following the order, the CBI re-registered the FIR earlier filed by the Madhya Pradesh police against Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh.
The most critical part of the investigation now revolves around reconstructing Twisha Sharma's final [music] hours. Sources say the CBI is using an advanced tunnel view investigation approach.
A highly detailed reconstruction of movements, interactions, and digital activity before the incident.
Investigators are preparing a minute-by-minute timeline of Twisha's last known actions.
The agency is scanning CCTV footage, mobile phone data, Wi-Fi logs, call detail records, and conducting forensic mapping of rooms across all three floors of the house.
>> [music] >> The aim is to establish who moved where, who entered or exited specific areas, and whether the sequence of events matches the statements already given in the case.
Sources also say the agency is examining suspicious time gaps, CCTV discrepancies, and possible contradictions in testimonies.
What initially appeared to be a suspected suicide has now evolved into a far more complex investigation involving unanswered forensic questions, alleged inconsistencies in injury documentation, and claims surrounding missing evidence during the postmortem process.
As the CBI now rebuilds Disha's final hours piece by piece, the investigation could determine whether this was a case of suicide or something far more disturbing.
