Arthritis & Cholesterol
Added:We talk about arthritis. Now the reason this is important is because this brain and spinal cord house the nervous system. Now why that's important because the nervous system controls and coordinates every function of the body.
Now, if there's a problem or an accident, when it knocks it out of position, but there's no change in the discs or bones, it's just not in the right position, that's called grade one.
If it stays there for a while, the bones the discs get compressed. When we see the discs not working correctly, that's grade two. And when it the bones and discs start to all change shape, that's grade three. So we're looking at normal 1 to 5 years damage. After 5 years we start to see the changes in discs and after about 5 to 10 years we start to see changes in bone. When we see significant it's over 30 years. Now symptom relief you'll see it occurs about the same time. About 8 to 10 adjustments symptoms feel right. Okay.
But did you fix the problem? No. So that's why now when I say 1 to 5 years or 5 to 8 years, it's not seeing you three times a day. It may be once a month or the equivalent because we have patients that come to our clinics that typically they'll come two weeks out of a year. They'll fly in couple of weeks, twice a year, bam, and they just maintain their health. But it depends to maintain this. Do you need good sleep?
Do you need good diet? I know you only need to eat good for like a month and then you can go back to fast food. Oh no, you got to do it all the time. Okay, some people are picky like she is.
[laughter] But now we have to look at why this is so important because I'm just talking about the bones out of place. This central nervous system holds [sighs] is in two parts. Now this part is called the autonomic nervous system.
Sympathetic is located in the rib cage and back. So that means from here to here is the sympathetic nervous system.
The rest, digest and repair is located up here and down here.
Now, cranial nerves are up here and that's what supplies the whole mouth.
Makes sense, doesn't it? I know. Okay.
So, but let's look at this cuz I really want to talk about cholesterol. Your body has two switches.
You can't have both. You can either be running away from a tiger or in a stressed state or you can be digesting, resting and repairing. That's why this is called fight or flight. So you got to fight and attack. So if you're having an argument, bam, you're here. If you're watching a scary movie, you're here. If you're driving and you're frustrated with traffic, you're here.
If you're at home, you're relaxing. Your cat is on your shoulder. you your kid is you feel warm. You're in air.
Now, what happens when you're under stress? Blood supply to the gut shuts down.
Back muscles, the muscles on either side of your spine tighten up. That's why your parents I know what your mom used to say. You're such a pain in my neck.
Because when she was upset, those muscles would fire off.
Immune system gets weak under this.
Blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar all go up.
In this digestion is is got good blood supply but back muscles are relaxed.
Immune system is stronger. Blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol all go down. So, we're living in a crazy world that measures blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar. and they're not measuring the nervous system.
So that means any one of these, and remember I'm not talking about symptoms.
Where does it hurt? That's stupid. Only 10% of the nerves that come off of here have pain fibers. 90% don't.
So let's look at cholesterol.
Wasn't that dramatic to just turn the board and have it all done? Thank you, Sarah. [laughter] So, what's cholesterol now? Now, some people will say LDL is the bad cholesterol. HDL is the good cholesterol. Guess what? There's only one cholesterol.
Okay, that's it. But there are different protein carriers.
Now this is a low density lipoprotein.
Lipo is fat. So this is a carrier that has a different shape and a different function. This is a high density lipo which means fat protein. So there's cholesterol, the same cholesterol in both of them, but they're also switches.
Like if you heard an alarm go off, okay?
Like a cell phone alarm, okay? That means that you have to answer the phone or someone's trying to get a hold of you or it's an alarm that you have to get up. Right? If you hear a fire alarm in a building, that's a totally different alarm. It means you got to run away.
This alarm, when this goes off, it's used for hormone production or tissue repair. So if you're jogging, running, working out, getting into a fight, doing all the physical stuff, this has got to go up. In the wintertime, this goes up. In stress, this goes up. So physical, chemical, emotional stress, this goes up. And that's a normal response.
High density lipoprotein actually moves this complex molecule called cholesterol back to the liver to store. This is why the things that raise cholesterol in diet isn't eating cholesterol.
It's eating poisonous food that damage the tissue. So, they'll say corn oil, canola oil, um these these different seed oils, they're cholesterol-free.
Don't they say that? Except when you eat it, it damages the arteries and that causes the cholesterol to raise.
So it's a marketing aspect. It's not good with physiology.
The arteries are completely different than the veins. The arteries have a muscle and this muscular layer is all around here. These are all muscles.
Now, those muscles, remember when we're talking when you're in a fight orflight state, blood supply shuts down to the gut. Where does it go? It goes to the arms and legs. So, these arteries, if you're in a stressed state, blood supply opens up to the arms and legs, so you can run away. This is why when you're exercising, your heart rate goes up, everything works right, but it shuts blood supply down to the gut. So the blood goes from here to here. Then when you're in a relaxed state, like after you're eating food, the blood goes from the arms and legs back to this. So these are always constricting and dilating.
They're always doing that. But now that muscle needs blood supply.
So there's little tiny tiny tiny blood vessels that go through here and they're called blood vessels of the blood vessels.
But in English that sounds stupid. So they use Latin terms. So they're called vaso vesorums.
Guess what vasovves mean?
Blood vessels of the blood vessels. I know but it sounds prettier in Latin. So all the terms are Latin.
I know. Now, let's say you eat a seed oil, and I'm talking canola oil, all the packaged oils, cottonseed oil, corn oil.
Those toxic polyunsaturated fats can damage damage these arteries.
So, the body doing everything it can to protect this artery cuz if this artery breaks, it has so much blood pressure in it. so much pressure that if you cut the artery in your leg, you're dead in about four to five minutes. If you cut the artery in your stomach, you're dead in about a minute. Your body drains out. So, the body is sensors. You actually have sensors on the inside of the arteries called endothelial. Now, this is the largest organ of the body. It's also in the intestinal tract. It's everywhere.
And so this sensor is there to always send information up to the brain at the status of the arteries like how are they doing? Okay. Is is it is is there a compression there? Should I increase the blood flow? Should I decrease it? Always there. Now if this artery gets damaged then the blood vessel will start to get weak. This wall will become weak. So the body in its wisdom comes in and builds what's called a plaque to protect that artery. And that plaque is made of fibbrin, cholesterol, and calcium. And this is what the plaquing is. It's a protective mechanism of the artery.
Now, is this alive or dead?
It's alive. So it's living tissue. So you could repair this, you can reduce the plaquing. You can reverse this arterial damage by cleaning that system.
First, don't eat toxic foods. Second, clean the arteries. Now, there's four things that I recommend to clean arteries. Apple juice. Why? Because it has malic acid, and that literally cleans the arteries.
Carrots turn into beta carotene, cleaning the lungs. which again that's another blood filter. Beets clean clean the liver and celery is good for minerals. So when we see blood that's not healthy, apples, carrots, beets and celery. Okay, that's good. But also the kidneys are going to be damaged because the blood's unhealthy. So all of that has to be corrected. Now, 20% of your of the cholesterol. This is actually supposed to be 80%.
She writes good, but she made an error.
[laughter] Okay, 80% of your cholesterol is stored in the liver. You don't get it from the diet. Now, let's look at tissue production. Your body is 70 trillion cells. That's a lot. You break and build a billion cells a day. Every cell that you build or nearly every cell has a bilateral or bi- lipid layer. What that is, it's two layers of fat on the outside of the cell. Now, this could be a kidney cell, it could be a liver cell, it could be a spleen, could be pancreas, could be any type of cell inside of your intestinal tract. It could be on your skin. Now what's this fat layer inside of nearly all the cells in your body? Say cholesterol.
Cholesterol.
Yeah. But now under stress, physical, chemical, and emotional stress, cholesterol goes up. So when people come to me and they say, "Doc, you know, high blood pressure runs in my family."
I say, "No, it doesn't. Your body's responding correctly. Stress may run in the family. I know your family doesn't have any stress, but stress usually runs in families.
[laughter] So, people with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and elevations in blood sugar, their body is responding correctly to the environment, not incorrectly. Does that make sense? Okay, good.
That's why healing occurs, not always.
But it's not really healing. Your body is going to be regenerating every day no matter what. So, it's going to regenerate unhealthy or healthy. All we're doing here is making sure the nervous system is clear of interference.
