[00:00:46]Hi, folks. It's going to be a really nice day. Actually, probably going to be a little hot starting out with the winter coat, but it's getting up to about 80. Uh we're headed to the north farm right now. We're going to be pelvic measuring and bangs vaccinating a whole mess of heers. Dad just reminded me we got make sure we got gas cuz we'll be running that gas powered gas engine powered hydraulic pump. Stopped at the old storeless station for Gatorade and a sandwich.

[00:01:27]There's a big one and another big one. This was going to be for my nose, but I guess got to make sacrifices on these farms, you know, every day.

[00:02:59]Seems like we're ready over here. We chased up 180 heers. Vet's coming out.

[00:03:04]He's going to pelvic measure these girls and bangs vaccinate them. The pelvic measuring is to make sure that they're going to be framy enough to handle a calf when they cal about a year from now, maybe 11 months from now. The bangs vaccine is for brucyosis. If you've ever heard of the big annual buffalo roundup out in western South Dakota, I'm pretty sure that's what they're uh rounded them up for is to give them this brucyossis vaccine. Bruceosis causes abortions in uh ruminating animals, bison, cows, deer, and we've kind of eradicated it with this vaccine. And so, it's just kind of good practice to continue to do.

[00:03:49]While we're waiting for the vet, I thought I'd walk out in the rye over at the North Farm. We're planning on chopping this here late June, I suppose.

[00:03:57]Be putting that in the pit. We're actually running out of silage at home right now, and we're going to we're going to need this rye.

[00:04:42]So if they don't measure up, we send them back, put them in a different pen.

[00:05:41]There's a cool breeze, but it is warming up. I'm going to have a I'm going to be a redneck at the end of the day, that's for sure. This will be a nice job to have done.

[00:08:14]They're too small. You know, if they're too small, you're probably looking at a C-section having issues. We're going to run those out into this pan.

[00:08:39]I could feel the heat on my neck, but thank goodness we got some cloud cover here, so it's not directly beating on us. It's about 3, a little after 3.

[00:08:50]And uh sounds like we're going to do another group over at our home farm. So, we got everything loaded up. We're going to head over there and just keep rolling.

[00:12:24]All right, we started at 10. We're getting done at 6:30.

[00:12:29]We did that. First group was 180 and the second group was about 90. We're going to be doing more of that tomorrow, but it's going to we're going to be starting later in the day cuz doc is busy. So early in the morning, I'll be hauling a couple loads of corn. We want to get those filled right now.

[00:13:00]I just got five loads to deliver. And would you believe me if I told you a big snowstorm's coming? I want to get it done before that big snowstorm.

[00:13:53]Two days from now on Wednesday, they're talking about some wintry mix coming.

[00:13:59]supposed to last from Wednesday to Saturday.

[00:14:02]I think at one point they were talking over a foot of snow. Now it's looking like some of it's kind of turned into rain.

[00:14:09]Who knows what's going to happen, but I'd like to get my loads of corn in before that moisture comes. Otherwise, it might get sloppy in and around the yard.

[00:14:42]I just remembered I got to feed bowls. I got to feed the bowls at my place when I get home.

[00:14:50]They're hungry.

[00:15:13]So, tomorrow morning we'll be hauling a little bit of corn before our vet shows up again and we'll work just like another 100 head or up 113 doing other stuff. 095 looks like a bowl.

[00:15:54]Got three new babies. That was a nice day to get caved.

[00:18:18]We worked about 270 head, pelvic measured, bangs, vaccinated, had four new calves, fed some calves, loaded two semiis with corn, and tomorrow we're going to haul some corn, work about 90 more head, maybe feed some more hay.
