[00:00:26]And today I'm trying to record a campus tour video where and I'll show you all each and everything on campus. I'll try to cover the sports facilities available on campus. I'll show you all the different academic blocks, mess areas, library area, and stuff.

[00:00:39]I'll also try to cover the hostel rooms.

[00:00:41]So, sit back, relax, and enjoy.

[00:00:45]>> [music] [music] >> This is gate one. So, whenever you all are entering the college during your admissions time, they'll mostly ask you to come from gate two side. So, that is on the other side. This is gate one.

[00:01:01]This is for [music] faculty staff to enter and exit.

[00:01:05]As you all can see on this side, that is the new office building. It was built around 3 months back, and [music] that's the new place of most of the faculties who faculties rooms are over there.

[00:01:22]Okay, now we are walking towards the main academic block where most of the classes happen.

[00:01:28]So guys, as you all can see, this is the main academic block wherein most of the classes happen. There's a old faculty block also over there.

[00:01:38]>> [music] >> So, the CR1 classes, that is the classroom one, starts from lower side, and it goes up to CR18 on the top end.

[00:01:49]Similarly, on this side, we have all the old faculty blocks. So, faculties, during the office timings, be seated over here.

[00:01:59]>> [music] >> So, this is the way to library and cafeteria.

[00:02:04]Uh so, as you all can see that red building over there is the library [music] and this side we have cafeterias and we have like two cafeterias here. That's C1 and C2. So, let's go and check out C1 first.

[00:02:17]So, just show them the garden.

[00:02:22]>> [music] [music] >> So, this is C1 canteen. Let's go in.

[00:02:35]>> [music] [music] >> Okay, as you all can see in the background, there's SK Food Center. So, if you all crave for sandwiches, [music] uh noodles, fried rice, anything anytime of the day, you all can just give orders to SK. Uh the timings are from 12 uh 12:00 p.m. till night 2:00 a.m. and the schedule will be shared to all the students once they are on the campus.

[00:03:14]>> [music] >> And next to that, there's Kailash Juice Center wherein you get juices, shakes, and stuff to drink. So, now let's go to C2 canteen.

[00:03:23]>> [music] >> Now, we are at C2 canteen and this is just an extension of C1 canteen because >> [music] >> there are a lot of students on campus, right? So, accommodating all of them in one was not feasible, so this one's here. And also, there's an add-on menu over here. That's the continental. So, you get some good sandwiches, you get some good [music] fried rice, Manchurian, all the stuff in the uh continental menu.

[00:03:53]You have many video folks here. Let's ask them how is their life till now on campus. Yeah, life is actually funnier.

[00:03:59]We literally enjoyed everything like the college life, even the campus.

[00:04:03]>> [music] >> And even the curriculum. There could be a little bit of change, but yeah, it's okay.

[00:04:08]>> And how's the food? Since we are talking about the canteen over here, how do you think the food is?

[00:04:12]>> The food is food is actually great, but the thing is that we are here for the 6-7 months. So, it it's monotony and so >> We are like little bit disliking it.

[00:04:22]There's not a single issue about the food like the quality is good. And yeah, you can have a chicken. Chicken is also great.

[00:04:29]>> So, you all can definitely try it over here.

[00:04:30]>> There is night canteen if you don't want >> Oh, yeah.

[00:04:33]>> Yeah, we have night canteen SK as well.

[00:04:35]So, yeah, you can have >> canteen is functional in C2 canteen and the timings are from 10:30 to 4:00 a.m.

[00:04:41]So, even at late nights, you all can just give your order to K-Star and well, you'll get served.

[00:04:47]>> And don't forget we have Domino's here.

[00:04:49]>> Yeah, I had a proper burger.

[00:04:51]>> And don't forget we have Domino's here, too. Order from Sat to >> [music] [music] >> So, this is the C2 canteen and yeah, the counters are set over there.

[00:05:09]There's one counter over there and there's another counter over there as well. And on the other side, I'll show you all in some time. You'll get continental served. This is a see-through window wherein you can see the kitchen and your food getting ready.

[00:05:23]>> [music] >> Now, there's something really good about C2 mess and that is the view. So, guys, this is the viewpoint where So, basically, you can see the city from this point. [music] And it's it's very peaceful over here.

[00:05:38]You can stand, sip a cup of tea, and chat with your friends.

[00:05:43]So, yeah, before this This also been built like the shelter has been built about like few [music] months back and it's really cozy and comfy. Before it was, you know, open and >> [music] >> very sunny. So, it's more comfortable in this sitting.

[00:05:58]>> [music] [music] [music] >> Okay, so that was about C1 and C2 mess.

[00:06:13]Now, I'll show you all the library area.

[00:06:15]And there's another thing, so anytime if you all need your daily essentials like shampoos, chips, or anything else like [music] soaps, toothpaste, anything, we have Jaggu Bhai who gives all of that.

[00:06:28]So, we'll visit Jaggu Bhai as well.

[00:06:36]>> [music and singing] [music] >> So, guys, this is the library and let's check out the library as well.

[00:06:54]So, basically our library has this RFID card [music] system where you cannot leave the library without an ID RFID.

[00:07:05]>> [music] >> So, this is where all the books are kept and there are books of various topics like from economics to big data analytics, to finance and everything is covered.

[00:07:22]So, this is the common study area where in you all can sit and do group studies and you're allowed to talk inside, but in the library out here you all are not allowed to [music] talk.

[00:07:39]There [music] are a cubicles are also over there.

[00:07:52]>> [music] >> So, there are some cubicles as well wherein you can sit with your friends and have a [music] private study area kind of thing. So, over there are my friends over there from big data analytics.

[00:08:10]So, this is the computer area and there are I think around 20 computers over here which are accessible to all the students and you all can sit and use this if you all don't want [music] to carry your laptops to library.

[00:08:23]So, yeah.

[00:08:30]>> [music] >> So, guys, this is the NAB that is new academic block and most of the big data analytics classes happen here. Oh, and also, if you're someone who's into startups and who's curious about building business, just like me, then Atal Incubation Centre is for you. It's basically a center of government center funded by government, you can say, wherein [music] people who have good ideas are nourished here. You can also get grants and funds if your idea is really well. And yeah, I have met these people personally and they're a good bunch of people working there. So, if you're someone who's planning to start something big or even something small, do check this space out once you're on campus here. Now, let's go towards the sports section.

[00:09:18]>> [music and singing] >> So, now we are going towards the multipurpose hall. Okay, in this hall, many events from >> [music] >> DJ nights to talk sessions to badminton, everything happens in this hall.

[00:09:37]>> [music] >> No watch.

[00:09:47]>> I can't show you all the multi-purpose hall right now cuz we have exams going on and during the exam days the hall's closed because exams are also conducted inside here. So, till then we'll check some other sports areas. Okay, so here's the gym and I'll give you all a gym tour as well. Okay, so behind me there's the table tennis room. There's table tennis, there's carrom as well. So, if you're someone who loves playing table tennis or carrom, you all can come to this room. So, guys, on my left there's the football ground.

[00:10:15]Football ground and multiple sports. You can play cricket also. Recently, we had a kite flying tournament also.

[00:10:25]For Makar Sankranti, we also flew kites on this ground and yeah, that's the whole ground. And on this side there's volleyball court over here and there's a basketball court over there.

[00:10:37]And these courts are functional 24/7. We also have a cricket court, so net cricket net, I don't know what. Yeah, so we also have a cricket net. So, if you're someone who's interested in cricket, I'm not, then this is for you.

[00:10:50]There's also swimming pool over there, but it's under maintenance right now.

[00:10:54]So, we'll not shoot that. Uh but yeah.

[00:11:03]So, guys, this is a lawn tennis ground and there's a tournament happening.

[00:11:07]Tournament is called playoffs. It's a lawn tennis tournament which happens every year.

[00:11:12]Huh?

[00:11:13]Yeah. Thank you.

[00:11:16]So, yeah, that was my friend. I suggested him a restaurant, he loved it.

[00:11:19]So, just look at this architecture, guys. This is where most of the classes happen. It's the backside of NAB and as you all can see next to that we have MDP. This is where most of the speakers and people who come to give talk sessions reside over here and there's a cafeteria for them specially dedicated for them only. So yeah, now let's move to H9.

[00:11:43]>> [music] >> Guys, this is the parking area. So if you're someone who's planning to get your own vehicles, don't worry about the parkings, it's all sorted here.

[00:11:51]>> Hi.

[00:11:52]>> So tell us about your life at Jain. How is the gym at Jain? So because you're going to gym so >> I think for me it's enough. It's more than enough. We have a cycle.

[00:12:02]>> [music] >> We have decent weights, dumbbells up to 45 so it works for me.

[00:12:13]>> We also have an ambulance here which is functional 24/7 and in case of any emergencies, you all can contact the student advisory council and they'll provide you with an ambulance to take you down to the Sakra ER, that is the Sakra emergency center. So now let's continue going towards H9. [music] So on my left this is hostel seven.

[00:12:38]This is hostel seven. This is the backside of hostel seven though and from there on there's hostel six, five, four, three, two and one on top which I'll show you all the front side as well.

[00:12:51]That you all can see is the H8 hostel and the ground floor is for boys and the top floors are for girls >> [music] >> and there are few hostels more which have the same pattern wherein the ground floor is for boys and then the top floors are for girls and there are some hostels which have only boys and some which have only girls but H9 H9 guys is specifically only for boys. So if you're someone >> [music] >> so if you're a boy and you get your whole gang over there then enjoy your day bro.

[00:13:23]So guys, this is hostel H9. It is the biggest hostel of GIM and there are four wings, [music] A wing, B wing, C wing, D wing. That's D wing and that's A wing over there.

[00:13:37]And these are the biggest two players of GIM.

[00:13:42]So yeah, and also there's hostel 10 which came up recently [music] and it's still under construction but there are some rules which are already functional.

[00:13:49]I think one side of it is already functional and Yeah, Joel lives in one of them.

[00:13:54]These are my fellow Goan friends who are walking.

[00:13:57]>> [music] >> Hi guys.

[00:14:02]>> [music] >> Hostel 7 Oh, during the rains the this place >> waterfall, Dudhsagar >> literal waterfall >> [laughter] >> like legit because the rains in Goa, guys. If you are a Goan, you know what I'm trying to say.

[00:14:21]>> I'm a Punekar and I had no idea and I >> So they had to suffer.

[00:14:25]So it's always better when you all are coming on campus that that will be probably in the month of June, right?

[00:14:30]>> Buy Crocs.

[00:14:31]>> Carry an umbrella.

[00:14:33]>> Crocs >> Not one.

[00:14:34]You will need I think around four or five umbrellas because people lose their umbrellas. You need good pair of Crocs which give you some good grip. If you fall and slip >> What?

[00:14:45]>> If you slip and fall >> fall and >> you're gone.

[00:14:48]And GIM has 0% attendance policy. That means even with [music] a broken leg you have to attend the classes.

[00:14:55]So be careful. [music] So this is the place where all the hostels are kind of connected together.

[00:15:06]There's H1 on that side.

[00:15:10]There's H2 here.

[00:15:12]H3, H4 all are in sequence and series over here. [music] Only H9 is kind of far away.

[00:15:18]And a tip to guys [music] who come into H9 hostel.

[00:15:23]Y'all need to leave that hostel 15 minutes [music] before your class starts because it takes around 7 to 8 minutes walking to reach your acad block because your classes will be happening there.

[00:15:34]And please don't run during the rainy season. So, it's it's best if y'all leave early from your hostel rooms to reach for the classes.

[00:15:45]>> [music] [music] >> So, this is amphitheater and this is where you know, movie screenings happens.

[00:15:57]There's Christmas celebration.

[00:15:59]>> [music] >> There's Lori celebration.

[00:16:01]There's Inception's Oxygen event happening. Okay, this is also where the annual cultural fest of IIM happens.

[00:16:07]That's [music] the Inception. And also there are late night jamming sessions done by Oxygen. And y'all can just come, sit here, relax, and enjoy. [music] So, let's go through this place.

[00:16:19]>> [music] >> Recently, we also had Lori celebration here and it was crazy, guys. There's movie nights also. [music] And if you're lucky enough, if there's no rain happening, y'all can even watch FIFA World [music] Cup which is coming up this year. So, get ready to enjoy because it's not only about studying. It's about enjoying everything.
