I Think Age of Ultron Is Great!

[00:00:46]Like the only other time we ever see the Avengers actually face a threat.

[00:01:01]I was about to say who's funding this, but like Why is the Why did the title card pop UP NOW?

[00:01:08]WE'RE 5 MINUTES into this.

[00:01:17]Maybe it would help if you spoke to them in their language.

[00:01:20]He just tosses an acid bomb on them.

[00:01:29]So, does this imply in Deadpool and Wolverine that that alternate reality Logan was a part of the Avengers and this was him trying to just calm the Hulk down or something, right? Cuz they're in the same forest in Deadpool and Wolverine, aren't they?

[00:01:47]Whoa. Oh, [ __ ] How did How How did they transport it here?

[00:01:54]>> [laughter] >> How did they get IT DOWN THERE?

[00:02:02]THAT WAS SCARY. OH, and her her fingernails are black.

[00:02:07]Uh uh uh foreshadowing.

[00:02:10]You know what? Every choice that Tony Stark makes in the MCU makes sense because of who he is, because of this, because of what happens to him in the Avengers and his first three films or I guess his only three films.

[00:02:24]It makes sense. I don't think there's that much of an issue with uh people saying that he's like kind of acts out of character as much as there is in the comics.

[00:02:35]But, I feel like it's still an argument that is made later in the down the line.

[00:02:40]This particularly in this movie, even though it's explained right [ __ ] there why he did this.

[00:02:46]OH, I never realized that that's the one.

[00:02:53]I I'm an I really am dumb.

[00:02:55]>> [laughter] >> I'm catching so much stuff going back through the MCU.

[00:03:02]Why is every single thing This This This building is built like A PLAY SET.

[00:03:06]>> [laughter] >> EVERYTHING'S ON TOP of each other.

[00:03:10]There's the hangar and then the common room, living room area, the bar, and like And then the lab and infirmary on top. What is this?

[00:03:19]>> [laughter] >> Damn, I [ __ ] love this. I really love this. I might change my opinion as the film progresses, but just the setup and all of this just the machinations of the characters and how they build up to what occurs. It just works so well. I really do enjoy it. And I have don't have an issue with the fact that Ultron is a creation of Banner and, you know, Tony Stark or whatever. Mostly Tony, probably.

[00:03:43]That's fine. I'm just happy he's I'm just happy he's there.

[00:04:36]It's a Joss Whedon movie.

[00:04:48]>> [laughter] >> ANOTHER THING I'VE NOTICED, that's how he knows who she is.

[00:04:53]Cuz you know, he's working off of like a hive mind thing. So, that Iron Legion unit scanned her. He figured out who she is, what she's capable of, what she does.

[00:05:03]He was like, "Huh, I'll keep her alive."

[00:05:06]There is this.

[00:05:08]Oh, wait. What?

[00:05:12]Okay, so two things. First of all, the Ultron design comes from whatever Hydra was doing.

[00:05:21]And second, how many times did ULTRON WATCH PINOCCHIO?

[00:05:25]>> [laughter] >> DID ULTRON learn about Epstein?

[00:05:32][ __ ] did you not listen?

[00:05:34]>> [laughter] >> He had a whole speech and that ended with a Pinocchio reference.

[00:05:39]>> [laughter] >> No.

[00:05:41]Why are they going here? Do they How did they get here? Did Ultron call them or something? Is this when he shows up dressed like a a little old lady?

[00:05:50]Or something. Am I getting him confused with Green Goblin?

[00:06:01]Sometimes it's hard. I'm wondering why you have the [ __ ] shawl over [laughter] your head, dude. Why did he do that?

[00:06:10]But, you needed something more than a man.

[00:06:13]That's why you let Stark take the scepter. You know what? I'll say it. I don't like how hot Ultron is. [laughter] I don't like how his waist tapers. You know what I hate? The fact that Ultron has lips.

[00:06:30]I LOOK AT HIM. HE HAS [ __ ] LIPS THAT MOVE like normal lips, but he's made of metal.

[00:06:38]And then it doesn't stop in this form.

[00:06:40]He has it in the next one, too. And it's equally as off-putting. I don't get it.

[00:06:45]I I noticed that immediately in the theaters.

[00:06:48]I was like, "What the fuck?"

[00:06:51]This is that robot have lips. Who's he kissing?

[00:07:05]Our parents go in.

[00:07:07]THE WHOLE BUILDING >> [laughter] >> WHY SHOULD WE LINGER ON ULTRON FOR IT'S still on Ultron.

[00:07:14]>> [laughter] >> He's a robot. He can't emote. What?

[00:07:18]>> [laughter] >> Why did they lay leave it on him?

[00:07:25]>> [laughter] >> Why not put it on Wanda's face?

[00:07:28]STILL BLAKE.

[00:07:29]>> [laughter] >> OH my god.

[00:07:35]That is ridicu Why not do that? Put that shot earlier. Have him look over at Have like Pietro's talking, cuts to Wanda, or close-up of her eyes, cuts to Ultron looking over at her, then maybe back to Pietro.

[00:07:48]>> [laughter] >> Something instead of him just kill us.

[00:07:51]Like zoning out.

[00:07:54]You know what's funny is that this film does really build up to being like Hawkeye's going to [ __ ] die, dude.

[00:08:00]He's He gets almost killed immediately.

[00:08:03]He We We introduce a secret family that's never been seen before.

[00:08:08]Uh he's getting tired and weak. She's giving him a pep talk like this.

[00:08:13]So, but here's the thing. When I first watched the movie, I never even considered that Hawkeye would die or like, you know, could die. I was just like, "Oh, this is a really interesting like plot development for the character.

[00:08:28]We're getting some character growth from Hawkeye. I love that guy."

[00:08:36]OH, LOOK HOW HOT HE IS.

[00:08:45]I DID look there.

[00:08:46]Oh, she's looking there, too.

[00:08:49]>> [laughter] >> Is it going to be revealed that Vision like he did some kind of like mind whammy on Ultron to just like get rid of those genocidal global machinations that Ultron had, but like he kept him around?

[00:09:09]Why does it seem like like his Quicksilver Is that what it is?

[00:09:14]Did Quicksilver just exert too much of his powers without like proper stimulus and and and training of his abilities? Is that how he winds up getting shot, right? Cuz he was looking pretty rough in that scene. Also like, yeah, that just proves that, you know, even if quick MCU's version of Quicksilver could outrun a bullet, he he either can't or he's not there yet or he's just overexerting himself far too much to do it.

[00:09:48]Man, how much further do they have before they start losing oxygen?

[00:09:53]OH, HERE WE GO. YOU CAN THANK PHIL COULSON FOR THIS.

[00:10:45]He was so purple then, too. They really toned down the purple.
