If you have complex trauma due to childhood abuse or neglect, then these are three major things that you deal with, complex things.
Number one is abandonment.
If you If your caregivers weren't safe and you actually had to navigate that, then you face a You have an abandonment wound that makes you a little shaky.
We're supposed to attune our nervous systems to those in our tribe, those we're born with. And when that person becomes unsafe and we can't attune to them, literally our bodies don't know what to do. So, abandonment wounds are really real.
In addition, you may be have been like me and taught to look outside of yourself. Am I being a good girl? Who thinks so? Abandoning my own feelings, losing touch with my own feelings.
Um and always putting yourself last.
Like, that's not really good. And then the third thing is one of the hardest, hypervigilance, due to anxiety, panic, and flashbacks.
