Embedded Systems 6th Sem Complete PlaylistAdded:
Hello everyone.
Welcome you all to this new video.
So in this video I'm going to be discussing the playlist of this subject.
That is the first subject for your sixth sem electronics and communication. That is embedded system.
So the subject code is BEC601.
So this playlist is made with the motive of making you prepare well for this subject especially covering all the core concepts of all the five modules. Okay, totally there are five modules explanations. In this you would be getting the all five modules explanations in detail analyzing only the important stuffs for you guys to score good in exams. And uh the we have included some of the important model paper solutions, passing packages PDF notes and some important questions based on this playlist where you could be scoring good marks. Okay, so this playlist is made with the motive of helping the VTU students to score more with smart preparation. It is focused on important questions, model papers and concept clarity. So one by one I'm going to be telling you what and all are there in this playlist. Okay.
So what you'll get in this playlist?
Firstly you would be getting all five modules explained. Then you would be getting all the important questions discussed.
Then passing package would be provided.
Model paper solutions for the 2022 scheme.
Uh the there are I guess one set for this and we have solved all the questions and uh you would be providing it. Then module wise notes it would be available in each video's descriptions and timestamps for each video in order to get the what concept you require for you. That timestamp is required for each video. So that's why we have provided those timestamps. You could be watching it.
So one by one let us get let us see what and all we have covered in this playlist. In module one we have basically started with the first video that is the introduction to embedded systems where we have completely introduced to what What you mean by embedded systems, How does it work? And its classification by comparing it with the general general system along with the embedded system. Then some of its applications and purposes, everything a brief introduction is given in that first video. Then coming later part, we have discussed about the elements of embedded systems.
What and all the embedded system conduct and how it is completely organized. Then in the next video, we have seen one core concept related to embedded systems that is risk versus CISC, big Indian, little Indian, and Harvard and Von Neumann architectures.
And we should be deeply classifying the embedded systems in different categories. Then after that in fourth video, we have discussed with the load and store operation. Then some of the programmable logic devices and some of the important ethics which is required for the embedded systems.
Then after that, we have seen with the memories, RAM and ROM. Then in the sixth video, we have discussed with the IO devices related to optocouplers, sensors, actuators, and so on. Then in the next video, we have seen with the communication interface. Okay, by seeing the I2C bus and SPI bus, we have differentiated it. And based on that, how the communication takes place in between these embedded systems, we have seen it in detail. Then Then we have seen with some of the external communication interfaces which is familiar to you guys, but deep down, what and all are the features inside those things, we have discussed in detail. That is related to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, etc. So, this is all about module one. Then comes module two. Okay, it is based on the characteristics of embedded system.
Now, indeed, uh by analyzing the real-time applications in this module, we have discussing some of the concepts starting with the characteristics. Okay, we have discussed them in detail. Then in the next video, we have discussed with the quality attributes of embedded systems.
Okay, it is basically divided into two categories. One is operational and non-operational. So, that also we have discussed. Then we have seen some of the domain-specific applications. That is domain-specific means some basic applications under embedded systems which are commonly used in home appliances. One is washing machine and an electronic in automobile sector, car is mainly used. So, these are the two basic domain specific applications where we have discussed it, which is very important for the exam point of view.
Next is we have discussed with the computational models comparing it with the data flow graph and the computational data flow graph, okay?
After that we have seen with some of the state machine models, FSM models, okay?
There are two basic models. One is a state machine and FSM models. Then there are some other concurrent models and sequential models which are not so important, but under FSM there are two important examples which is very important for exam point of view. I have discussed it. One is related to automatic tea coffee vending machine and coin operating telephone. So, these two we have discussed it. Please go and watch this video especially video number six, which is very important for exam point of view. Please go and watch it.
Then other some of other some of the modules that is sequential model and concurrent model. Then after that we have discussed with the firmware development of embedded that is related to software part. How the soft How the software part plays a role by building while building these embedded systems that we have discussed in the video eight and nine.
So, this was all about module two. Now in module three again we go with the basics and operating system based on the embedded system, okay? So, that is firstly we have discussed the basics of operating system, which is important for the development of these embedded systems. Then we have seen with some of the tasks, processes and threads of embedded systems. Then we have seen some of the scheduling techniques which are very important starting with the preemptive scheduling. How this works with the respect to different processes and IDs we have discussed with different intervals of time of ready queues. So, there are basically three scheduling, preemptive, round robin and priority based scheduling. I have discussed each of the scheduling in with one one examples in detail. You will be understanding it very easily, okay? So, these are videos three, four and five.
Then after that we have discussed with the task communication, that is IPC, where we have seen with the inter-process communication which would be taking place in between the operating systems. Then under task synchronization, we have discussed one concept which is very important, that is deadlock. So, you go and refer it. Then after that, we have discussed with the hardware firmware integration, how the hardware part and software part are interrelated, and there are specific applications which you need to be understanding in order to integrate the hardware and firmware. That is listed here. There are five applications that I've discussed in this video in detail.
Please go and watch it.
So, this was one part of this subject, and the other part is covered in module four and five, that is related to the ARM processor. Okay? So, this is basically covered in two parts. One is first three modules is basically everything about embedded system, and module four and five are all about the ARM processor. Introduction to ARM processor, we have discussed and some of the fundamentals of ARM processor along with its architecture.
Then we have discussed the CPSR, current program status register. Under that, we have discussed what and all are the bits and flags present in that CPSR in detail. Then under that bits and flags, we have devised we have categorized them into different categories. First, starting with the conditional flags.
Okay, there are basically some of the conditional flags such as saturation, overflow, carry, zero, and negative. One of each of them we have discussed in detail with examples. Then some of the important instruction sets starting from the uh interrupts, exceptions, and vector table.
Then again in module five, instruction sets of ARM processor, introduction about that. Then some of the instructions we have discussed along with the examples, that is move instructions, barrel shifter, arithmetic and logic instructions in this video.
And in the third video, we have discussed with the compare, multiply, and branch instructions of all the of all the ARM processing categories along with the carry flags and with some examples. Then at the final video we have discussed with the load and store operations, okay? So, these are the things which we have discussed in module five and in total all of them uh we have covered it in one single passing package. Just if you want to pass the subject, we have created one passing package and uh I'm planning to cover more passing packages for you guys. So, there is one video you should be watching because if you want to pass the subject in that passing package I have told you what some of the very important questions. So, please watch that video as well.
Along with that we have uh updated the model paper playlist of the latest scheme. Uh for you guys it is 2022 scheme and uh we have already covered it for the previous years as well. So, you could be referring the same. All the model paper solutions are available.
Next is PDF notes for all the modules.
So, in the uh each video's descriptions uh we have kept the link drive link and you could be accessing that and you would be getting all the important stuffs module-wise notes, everything in this uh uh in all the video's description if you go through this link.
So, yeah that's all guys. This playlist is made with the motive uh for those students to score those who are not yet those are not concentrated well in the subject because uh all of the students would be having the one or one or the other reason because in the sixth semester mainly you should you are you would be focusing on your projects, internships and other co-curricular activities and most of the people give less priority towards academics. So, that's why this playlist is made for those students those who have not concentrated well in their colleges and if you want to score good this playlist would be definitely helping you guys, okay? So, please please don't skip this playlist. These vi- videos are created for that crucial time. If you watch this playlist from start to end you'll definitely answer all the questions and 80% of the paper you would be confidently answering it.
Please don't waste hours searching videos. Everything is available in one, okay? This is specially especially made for students who are studying under VTU uh VTU affiliated colleges. This playlist will be definitely helping you guys. Okay, study smart and score more.
