Tell Big Brother and Mark Carney to butt out.

[00:00:00]We've got big brother on the run. Bill C22. Remember they said it was about fighting crime. And then we actually read it and found out that part two gave the minister the ability to demand that electronic service providers keep all kinds of information about you and 41 million law-abiding people on servers that are vulnerable to being hacked by hostile foreign governments or other abuses. This bill would ultimately affect um encrypted messaging services, forcing them to keep information that they don't even currently have because it's encrypted and it's sent between the sender and the recipient and not keeld in central databases. Thank god that's why we have those sorts of apps for communication. And then we discovered under testimony by a law professor and questioning by a talented and conservative MP Dane Lloyd that worse than that, the government could actually order tech companies to turn on your microphone and your camera to record the things that you're saying. Imagine turning Alexa into big brother or big sister. The reality is this is like turning our tech companies into a gigantic surveillance arm of the state.

[00:01:19]In fact, many of the biggest and most credible companies that are respected in the area are saying they can't believe and do not support the bill. Some like Signal uh one of the VPNs and numerous others have said they will leave Canada altogether because it's impossible for them to provide the secure and private service that they offer here in Canada with this law in place. And that's why we're fighting back, my friends, and we're making ground. We're forcing the Liberals to backtrack. In fact, the minister now says that he will accept amendments to deal with any under misunderstandings in the bill. Well, these are not misunderstandings. We extend we understand exactly what he is saying and doing because it's the same old liberal approach, isn't it? Always going after the good guys, you know, like instead of locking up gun criminals, they go after farmers, hunters, and sport shooters who have licenses to use their property and do so uh within the rules. They go after you by censoring your online activity rather than actually locking up real pedophiles and child pornographers. They always target the the wrong people. And Mark Carney is no different. It's more crime, more control, more government overreach.
