Vermont Girls' School wins huge $566,000 judgement!

[00:00:06]I'm Paul Chato. A bittersweet victory for a Vermont high school as Vermont pays $566,000 in damages legal fees to Christian school it banned from all sports competitions for years. The conflict dates back to an afternoon early in the 2023 school year at Mid Vermont Christian when the school decided to forfeit a girls basketball post season game against a team with a trans athlete. Many of you out there might be saying to yourselves, "Good going, girls." But, this is a cautionary tale about why more girls don't forfeit against cheaters.

They didn't just penalize the basketball team, the consequences escalated far beyond a single game. The Vermont Principals Association banned the school not just from basketball, but from all athletics and a range of academic competitions and then on top of that science fairs and spelling bees within the state for 2 years. Senior counsel Dave Courtman said he was shocked at how firmly the educational authorities in Vermont wouldn't back down from their sweeping sanction on the small Christian school.

What would happen if all girls had a mind of their own and decided they didn't want to compete against in frocks? That they wanted to feel safe in girls washrooms.

Hurting the feelings of a few sexually confused children supported by hysterical mothers is far worse than destroying 2 years of extracurricular activity of 111 girls because Vermont has non-discrimination policies except against Christians and those who don't believe in gender ideology. But, for everyone else, they don't discriminate.

[00:02:34]For now, the girls from Mid Vermont's basketball team can take comfort winning in court, getting damages, and bravely supporting the movement to save girls sports that is growing nationwide. But, as we always say here at appalling news, Vermont. Meanwhile, in Sydney, Australia, female footballers are being forced to sign agreements consenting to play a team that contains five sausage danglers. The agreement also bans them from protesting. Every player in the Women's Super League Northern Suburbs Football Association must sign the agreement, which states that women are not permitted to forfeit matches against the Flying Bats Football team or they and their team will be disqualified. The Flying Bats with five female players on the team won 17 of 17 matches in their previous league. Pro-women campaigner Kiraly Smith previously spoke out about Tucker's playing in women's competitions, but was taken to court and found guilty of vilification for misgendering and fined 25,000 Aussie dollaridoos. The once rough and tumble country has become one of the world's most progressive anti-women pussified jurisdictions. Our solution is not to ban the panty bulgers from the league, but to not treat them when they get prostate cancer because obviously women don't have prostates. And finally, to Canada's loony left coast, British Columbia, which is so progressive it makes Australia look like Mussolini's basement. The governing New Democratic Party has redefined the saying the road to hell is paved with communist intentions. The NDP have suddenly realized they gave away too many decision-making powers to their indigenous community over Crown lands and are now desperate to claw it back.

First, we have to drop in on the United Nations who are busy trying to make life even more difficult for democratic countries rather than dealing with their dictator members killing their own people. [00:05:46]British Columbia thereby became the first jurisdiction not only endorsing UNDRIP in the abstract, but actually cemented its guarantees into law. In the simplest terms, before DRIPA, BC had to consult indigenous groups and leadership on land use and resource management.

[00:06:06]After DRIPA, while it does not explicitly give indigenous groups a legal veto over provincial decisions or projects, however, in practice, especially after the 2025 BC Court of Appeal ruling, it comes very close to creating a strong de facto veto on many resource and land use decisions on Crown land. Now, BC is stuck in endless litigation and mining and energy projects will never go anywhere. Premier David Eby helped create this mess and when he tried to change the legislation backtrack a little bit, BC indigenous chiefs told him to go sit on a totem pole and rotate. This is appalling news and that's the way it is.
