Back to the 90s, Breezes Remain

[00:00:00]here live at Gilcreeze Orchard. Just one of the most picturesque spots in all of the valley. It's kind of neat to be able to step away from our our desert lifestyle and be in the middle of a a sunflower field right here in the convenience of the Northwest Valley.

[00:00:15]We'll talk weather and then we'll get into our interview with Mark from Gil Crease. But here is the map. You can see our temperatures this morning. 73 up in the North Valley where we are. It's also 73 in the South Valley in West Henderson. 77 officially at the airport.

[00:00:31]And over on the east side, it's 80 degrees on the nose in East Las Vegas.

[00:00:36]We are headed to 98 over on the east side. Going to go 97 officially at the airport. That's a 7°ree drop from yesterday, but 97 is still hot. Let's not kid ourselves. It's actually about 10° above average for May the 13th.

[00:00:50]There will later today be some 25 mileph gusts. Then Thursday, the wind uh fades a bit. Friday, the breezes come back by the end of the day. And Saturday, we want to emphasize as a real windy start to the weekend, like 40 mph gust on Saturday from the southwest, peaking in the afternoon. So, it is going to be a very blustery finish to Saturday. Our temperatures this weekend, thanks to sun, will be in the 90s, but 97 Saturday, then down to 91 on Sunday.

[00:01:22]Sunday is clearly the the preferable of the two weekend days just because it it's not going to be nearly as windy.

[00:01:29]90s though it's the rule rather than the exception. It's a bit above average but obviously uh better than the triple digits unless you're really into the heat. We will actually briefly see upper 80s early next week Monday. This morning briefly enjoying the 70s first thing.

[00:01:44]We'll zip through the 80s during the 9:00 hour and at 11 in the morning it's up to 93. will be uh in the mid 90s most of the afternoon. Whenever there's a breeze, you tend to reach that high temperature a little more quickly than you otherwise would. And we're going 97 with a lot of sunshine. Don't forget a hat or some sunscreen. 97 today and a drop down into the 80s as we head toward 8:00 p.m. and get into the evening. So, a breeze today, a breeze Friday, a bunch of wind on Saturday, and then we'll cool down just a bit into the upper 80s early next
