[00:00:20]Today we're going to be launching some Storm Shadow cruise missiles at a Russian uh fuel storage area. Obviously, the MiG 29 can't carry them. There's going to be some Sukoy 24s that have been uh NATO modernized or NATO modified to carry the Storm Shadow missiles. Um we're going to provide escorts for them and give them some uh you know, some cover so that they can actually do what they need to do. And uh hopefully we'll make it back to base in one piece.

[00:01:03]So, we're going to get this MIG into the air, and then we're going to link up with [music] some Sue24s. Speaking of which one is right here, they're already airborne, but this is a good example.

[00:01:13]You can see he's got the storm shadows under the wings there. Got two of them.

[00:01:18]There you go. So, we're going to link up with two of those guys in the air, and they are going to move through their way points, and they're going to launch their storm shadows in an attempt to get through Russian air defenses. So, theoretically, they would have identified a gap in the uh layered Russian air defenses there. And so, they're going to fly to that specific point and launch the uh storm shadows through the gap. There we got some nays over here. And looks like we got a Ukrainian SA6 here as well, which will be helpful if we have to fall all the way back here. Um, if any flankers show up and they chase me down. So once those uh storm shadows can get through the hole, theoretically, if they can, if the hole still exists, um, then they'll hit the target. I doubt all of them will get through. I think there's going to be two Sukcoy 24s, which means they're going to launch four Storm Shadows total. Um, at least one of those should get through.

[00:02:19]Maybe two, you know, if we get a get a leaker or something. Um, that would be great. Okay, let's get the uh engines going here. RPMs are good. We're launching. We're not going to go on after burner for this takeoff. Just try to conserve some fuel.

[00:02:46]Mig 29. Uh, more than capable of taking off with no afterburner. We're also carrying AM RAMs on the Mig 29. Kind of a Frankenstein MIG 29. But you should be familiar with that from uh Ukraine by now. Having all the NATO equipment on their aircraft. Here we go. We're almost airborne. Airborne. There we go. Gear up.

[00:03:18]And we will bank to the left here where we expect to uh link up with the 224s in question.

[00:03:28]Let's just get a little bit of speed and altitude. Make sure I have proper lift.

[00:03:31]We'll put flaps up. Everything's looking good. Trimmed out.

[00:03:36]And we'll bank it to the left and see if we can find these guys.

[00:03:40]Probably get them on radar shortly.

[00:03:59]This is going to be kind of a bonsai mission for the MIG 29. We have to protect these 224s uh basically at any cost. Even if that comes at the the cost of our own life here. I think I see them. I have them on radar. They're right here, actually.

[00:04:29]So, whatever happens, these guys have to survive. They have to get to their way points and launch their storm shadows.

[00:04:35]And so when I say bonsai, it means that if we can't kill a flanker, um, we're going to charge him. Basically, we're going to push into missile no escape zone, which is probably going to get me killed. And we're going to do that at the price of killing that flanker for our own life so that these 224s can get their mission done. And hopefully it doesn't come to that. That's kind of a last resort kind of situation.

[00:05:01]But, you know, I think the way we should look at this is uh this make 29 pilot.

[00:05:05]He's the same one from last time where he intercepted a bunch of subway 20 uh 25s that were trying to toss bomb the base. And like this is his second combat mission. Kind of think of it like a career mode, you know? This is like Eigore the Ukrainian pilot.

[00:05:21]And his first one was pretty good. He was an ace after the first mission. Here we go. So, we've linked up with the 224s now to Storm Shadows under the wings. There they go. They're going to break into their uh launch sites now.

[00:05:54]I'm obviously not going to follow that.

[00:05:56]They're going to do their own thing. Um, but we are on combat air patrol, which means we are looking for anything airborne that we can kill. Um, it's, you know, when it comes to SAMs and stuff, they're kind of on their own. There's not much I can do for SAMs. Um, but airto-air stuff, I can help out a little bit.

[00:06:17]And it's probably not even strange in real life to have one single MC 29 doing a mission like this, especially with the shortage of M29s these days, I'm sure, on the for the Ukrainians.

[00:06:30]Um, RWR currently not indicating anything to worry about.

[00:06:48]We're just kind of doing a holding pattern and uh protecting the Succoy's right flank in case anything shows up.

[00:06:58]And so far so good. We got nothing.

[00:07:02]I'm staying fairly low altitude because if I pop up, you know, I'll get shot with like an S300 or S400 or something.

[00:07:10]Uh, at least in this area. Once we Oh, airborne target this way. Let's go check it out.

[00:08:23]And uh if I don't get launched on by an S300, then we'll climb higher to uh meet whatever this is over here.

[00:08:37]Got the A120C's pulled up. You can see them on the wings there. We got three per wing, which is pretty cool. We're carrying six AM RAMs and two archers.

[00:09:02]I would love to survive this mission. I think it'd be cool to just continue uh as this pilot in career mode.

[00:09:14]Um, so if this pilot survives, even if we're shot down, you know, if we survive the ejection, then we'll continue and we'll just do that um until we get killed. I think it's an interesting little idea, like a Ukrainian career mode.

[00:09:40]you know, as you follow some Ukrainian pilot through his days in the war.

[00:09:46]Um, signal strength increasing for the airborne target. We also have a secondary priority target in the same direction, which tells me there's two airborne targets actually. Um, and they are currently co-altitude with me according to the RWR.

[00:10:03]Uh, but I would imagine they're going to start climbing as they get my radar on their RWR.

[00:10:10]We're really depending on the amra to do a lot of heavy lifting for me here.

So, that would be a catastrophic failure of the mission. All right. Let's put this first flanker into a track wall scan. He's locking me now.

[00:11:17]So, I'm going to climb up to meet this guy. Signal strength now 3/4. I'm at 3,000 ft. No S300 launch. Uh, let's go ahead and get rid of the tank. I'll reduce some drag.

[00:14:49]I just noticed that I made a critical mistake. I launched my archers, which are short-range Fox Twos instead of AM RAMs.

[00:14:58]Getting low to the ground here to defeat that missile. So, I actually wasted those missiles. Uh, so we got to turn around quickly so I can launch AM Rams at this guy and try to fix that error before he runs me down.

[00:15:14]Remember, we have to stop this guy at all costs.

[00:15:21]So, I'm turning around. We are basically bonsai now. He's going to be inside of 10 miles, which means whatever he shoots at me is going to be super dangerous.
