The 2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Deep Ocean Edition is the BEST performance sedanAdded:
Hey guys, what's up? It's Joe Ready from Rady's Rise. We are back here at Dimmick Cadillac in Clearwater, Florida. And guess what? I have something so special I want to share with you. What am I talking about? This girl right here.
This is it. This is a 2026 Cadillac CT5V Blackwing. But it's not just your standalone regular Blackwing.
If you could even say that about any CT5 V Blackwing, this is a new special edition called the Deep Ocean Blue Edition. But before we get into this bright blue that just intensifies as you get closer to it, let's talk about what's going on here. So, the CT5, uh, people were a little confused when Cadillac came out with it, especially when they brought the CT5V. And I remember Lori and I were at the 2019 New York Auto Show and people were disappointed by the performance numbers.
Then they shocked everybody. This was like the shock and awe campaign from Cadillac with the Blackwing. And that set the whole standard straight and set everybody on an epic journey of rearwheel drive supercharged V8 performance. Now, of course, you got BMW with the M5, and you got Audi with the RS6, and they got their crazy gizmos and gadgets and all those bits of technology to bring performance, but this brings it in that tried andrue way, rearwheel drive, and a big old hunkering V8 underneath the hood. So, what I want to find out is, is this the must-own performance luxury sedan? Especially compared to those other players that are using all this crazy technology, is this the one to go with? And is it going to be worth the price at the end of the day? Why don't we go ahead? Let's dive in and find out.
Right off the bat, new color. It's called deep ocean blue and it is absolutely phenomenal. Love the sparkling to the paint. This is just one of two.
See what I just did there?
200 that they're making. So, very nice that we could bring it to you. Now, the front of the business, you're going to get that refresh style that you've seen already on the CT5V Blackwing, but that's not a bad thing that it's still unchanged. You do have your vertical LED daytime running lamp, your turn signal flashing away, and your LED headlights.
Still, this part is what hurts me. This hurts my heart. It hurts my soul, and it hurts my head that there's a fake vent there. I rather they could have done something else. But the way that the new blue boomerang so nicely and they made up for it because down below you could see the heat exchangers, you have the functionality. And then this package, this addition comes with all the carbon goodies. So you have a carbon fiber front splitter and other carbon fiber bits. You'll see as we go around this blue beast. Now, as we come across that iconic badge, so much history going back to the early 1900s, the Cadillac logo, you do have a forward- facing camera, carbon fiber on the brow, the upper portion of the grill. And I love the way that they designed the V series grill.
It's actually designed to pull more cool air for all of the heat exchangers behind, even on the bottom portion, of course, fully functional. And then you have the continuation of that massive carbon fiber splitter. But let me know what you think about the blue at the front of the business. I think it balances nicely with the black and especially with the carbon fiber. Now as we rise up, love that hood. A slight bulge.
Nothing too crazy, but it's there and that's what matters. I just wish they would have done a heat extractor like the CTS-V. So that's my only zon. Now coming around the bend. Loving the wheels. Love these multis-spoke wheels.
The dark dark gunmetal metallic gray finish. 19-inch wheel. Totally fine with that. I don't need a 22-in wheel, 23-in wheel. And what you do get on the special edition, of course, are those navy blue, flat navy blue, six piston Brembo calipers. You got rotors that are over 15 in. You can get yourself that New York style pizza, thin crust, of course.
It's as large as those rotors. And man oh man, I love the way they even do the black lugs. Nice style. They laser etched the Vbadge into the forge aluminum wheel. And of course, you're going to have those sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Up front, it's 275 on the width, 35 series sidewall. Like I said, 19-in wheel. And also another thing you shouldn't ever forget, this has that magnetic ride suspension 4.0. 0 really going to give you the perfect amount of suspension tuning as you're ripping through the twisty bits or you're driving to and from work. But let me know what you think about the blue with the dark gray on the wheels. Coming down the side, you got your V badge. So much history going back to 2004. I like the way they added the black wing badge.
You do get power folding mirrors. They are gloss black. I'm going to zon that cuz I would like to see them carbon fiber with all the other carbon fiber.
But we do have 360° cameras down below.
Loriy's going to spin it around and show you that sexy functional fender vent and then the even sexier carbon fiber side sill extension.
This carbon fiber would look great on the mirror cap. From the side, it's a midsize. And what I like about it is that it's smaller than an M5. M5 is ginormous, man. Those cars are heavy.
This thing, she likes to dance like that. Now, up top, you're going to get that panoramic sunroof. My one zon, you know where I'm going to go, right? I wish they would paint this black. I know this is a special color, special edition. Paint it all black, please.
That would just look so great. So great.
But you are getting your panic sunroof.
me, I would prefer a carbon fiber roof because it saves weight and lowers the center of gravity. Let me know how you like to roll in your Caddy. Do you like the sunroof or would you rather it be a full carbon fiber roof? Of course, you're going to get that four-door accessibility. The only other thing Oh, it hurts. It hurts. That's a lot of gloss black, man. That's a lot of gloss black.
But what do we have to finish it off? On the side, you're going to get those beautiful wheels. Just like up front, 19 inches all the way around. But these out back are 305 on the width. You are getting a four piston Brembo caliper in that navy blue with the Vbadge. And you do get an electronic limited slip diff to get the power to the ground and do some major on throttle action.
Now, spin around wide. We got to go wide because look at what we have here. Love this carbon fiber rear spoiler. All of this arrow has been designed on the racetrack. And yes, if you're wondering, if you haven't seen my videos, Joe, how do you know about the racetrack? Have you driven one of these on the racetrack? Yes, I have. Virginia International Raceway, one of the best tracks in the country. And I got to give a huge shout out to Atlanta Motorsports Park. That track was a blast in one of these Black Wings. Of course, you have all that great LED lighting just like up front. The Blackwing badge, CT5 on the left hand side, all blacked out.
And then be still, my beating heart.
Lower diffuser, all carbon fiber. Love the quad tip exhaust in that nice glossy black. And all of this is functional. Of course, you're going to get that GM active exhaust. Leave it quiet and make most of the people happy around you. Or I say the hell with it. Open it up and let this baby sing. M V8.
I wish I had a V8. Actually, I did have a V8. And I do have a V8. And I got some other things, too. But why don't we go ahead? Let's pop the hood and check out the V8 of this special Blackwood. All right, guys. V for victory. And man, they really won the war here with this beast. You got that LT4 6.2 L supercharged V8. I love the way it's got the name plate of the person that hand assembled this right in Bowling Green, Kentucky. And then this beefy. You could kill somebody with this thing. Strut tower brace with the V badge. And look at that beautiful supercharger lid. That top of the supercharger looks great.
What do we got in this deep ocean tint coat colored Blackwing?
We have 668 horsepower from that supercharged power plant. 659 lbft of torque. Yes, you can get a six-speed manual. This one has the 10-speed automatic. 0 to 60 in 3.3 seconds. Are you ready for this? Top speed 205 mph.
MPGs, please. Please, you're not thinking about MPGs if you're buying one of these, but if you must know, it's 13 in the city, 20 in the highway, and the vehicle only weighs 4,130 lb. Now, when I say only, that is about the same weight as a Mustang. So, why don't you take a piece of that jerky and and chew on that for a little while that a four-door sedan supercharged is about the same weight as a Mustang GT.
Crazy. Why don't we go ahead? Let's go even crazier. Let's fire up this beast and hear what she sounds like.
All right, guys. We are in it to win it inside this 2026 Cadillac CT5V Blackwing, but this is that deep ocean special edition new color. And then wait until you see some of the other touches in here. And it's just one of 200 that they're making. Now, I know you're saying to yourself, "Well, Joe, when I hear Blackwing and I hear rarity, I hear a high price."
Of course, don't be silly. This isn't a $60,000 car. But when you look at the competition, the M5, the RS6, those cars are very pricey as well. So, MSRP, are you ready? $138,000.
Still undercuts the competition. And if you're wondering, "Well, Joe, how much am I paying for the the special edition?" It's $26,995.
But that does come with all the carbon fiber goodies, stage one and stage two, the blue. Wait until you see some of the touches on the interior and that number badge. But why don't we see if it's going to be worth it to have a rare Blackwing? Let's do it Rady's Ride style to the door panels. Love the style. Just like other Black Wings, the nice soft touch black. You have the real deal carbon fiber and that AKG premium sound system. Love the way they do the black dark aluminum speaker grill cover, some Alcantara, and then you're getting double contrast stitching. My only zon is I wish it was blue. I wish they would have done blue like the exterior. Now going from the door panel to the dash, more of that nice soft material, more carbon fiber, and then you slide on in, you're getting 33 in of 9K resolution OLED screen. I've already shown you these screens before in other CT5s, including Black Wings. So, I just want to show you the main touch with the performance gauges. Of course, you're going to have your stopwatch, 0 to 60, 1/4 mile, all those goodies. And then you have a plethora.
It's like an all you could eat buffet of different gauges. Boost gauge, you got the Gmeter, so you can find out where that G-spot is right there. Tire pressure. So nice to see. And you could switch it any which way you want. So that's really cool. Another thing I love about these cars, the camera quality.
You could actually count every brick paver that's in the road here because of how clear the resolution is and the 360° camera. Working our way down, you have your nice metal toggle switches for that dual climate control. Ventilated seats and heated seats as it should be in a car of this caliber. Wireless charging that's going to control your 10-speed automatic or you could have the six-speed manual. And I love the way it's surrounded with carbon fiber. And then you have your seessaw switch, toggle switch for the modes. And Loriy's going to show you on the dash how you can bring up those different modes.
Really, really cool graphics. Of course, there's my mode as well, but uh nice to see the graphics and everything changes. I'll show you more when you come to the dash. Real volume knob. You got your direct drive control knob. Open the door. Two cup holders.
You got a little place where you could drop a box of uh mini slim gyms in there. Nice stitching. I just wish it was blue. Open the door for me. I got a USBC, a USBA, and a 12vt. And a place where you can put two Game Boys. Get yourself some games, some Excite Bike, some Super Mario. Also, I kind of want to show you. Let me see if I could dig it out of my pocket.
The blue on the key fob because we have the blue calipers. So that's another reason that this is a cohesive package of a special edition.
And then the seats, the Vbadge, the piping. Look at all the way. It's just crazy. The design, the bolstering, full electric assist for the passenger, of course, full electric assist for the driver. Up top, you do have the optional split panoramic sunroof with the power shade. and so much Alcantara that you could go to build a bear and build yourself a couple teddy bears. That's how much soft Alcantara is in here. But why don't you come over here to the business side? I want to show you this wheel with the special number in this special edition. All right, guys.
Business time. This is where you want to be sitting in this special supercar sedan. You do have two memory seat settings for the driver's seat. I do love the aluminum sill plate with the V badge that illuminates to welcome you.
And then a pedal box right out of a GTP Cadillac race car. Love the aluminum dev pedal, brake, and throttle. Of course, you have all your seat controls, including massage seats. So, think about you could be doing your track day and you could be getting your lower back rubbed or maybe a little shoulder rub or something. That to me is where we have become very spoiled when it comes to these performance vehicles. I'm 6 feet tall. Basically, God made me to sit in this car. That's it. Doesn't get any better than this. Steering wheel. Love the leather. We do have optional super cruise. That's that semi-autonomous hands-free driving. Leather on the horn button. The stitching. There's that special badge. 81 0005 and then of course you have the metal paddles to go up and down that 10-speed.
You also have a touchcreen here. This allows you to do different things on your digital display. And you do have a powered tilting and telescoping wheel.
Of course, the SD holder here for your performance data recorder. And I almost forgot there's carbon fiber on the wheel. How did I forget that you have carbon fiber on the steering wheel and then that beautiful gauge cluster. Now, what's cool is when you go into the different modes, of course, it's going to change. So, that was tour. There's snow. Wait until we get to track. Oh my god, look at that. And then there's sport. Sport's actually really good as well. Nice large gear indicator in the center. And you have a head-up display.
But if you want to go allin, that is the way to go. You actually have on track mode. The display shows you the temperature of your tires. The temperature. Not just the pressure, but the temperature.
Unbelievable. But why don't we go ahead?
Let's make this quick. You got four doors to bring more friends in that back seat. Let's see if they're going to be puking their brains out as you reach terminal velocity in this Cadillac. All right, guys. Come on in. Clean up on aisle six. Somebody dumped a bucket of carbon fiber in this back seat. Look at the backs of the front seats. Full carbon fiber with a Vbagge logo. Love that touch. And then you do have two small little AC vents, which I'm fine with. I don't care. I'm not sitting in the back. You have a 12vt, your USBC.
It's a little tight if you're 6 feet tall. If you're 3 feet tall, it's not a big deal. But being this tall, it's just a little tight back here. But like I said, I'm not sitting in the back seat.
You're sitting in the back seat. I'm sitting right there. You do have a nice center armrest. Soft with two cup holders. I just wish they would have gave us more blue stitching. But the great news is everybody gets the Santorini blue seat belts. That's at least worth. We're now going to bump it up because there's so many blue belts in here.
10 extra horsepower. What's interesting is I once had a blue belt when I used to do Ishinoo karate as you're climbing up to black belt along the journey is a blue belt. I wonder if my mom still has my blue belt. Maybe I should wear it the next review. But until then, we're not doing the trunk cuz I don't give a damn about it. We're going on throttle in this mega special Blackwood. All right, guys. We're leaving Dimmick Cadillac.
We're inside this 20 26 deep ocean special edition of a Blackwing.
Like I said, one of just 200 that are being made for 2026. First of all, the color is phenomenal with a capital PH.
And just like every other Blackwing, the style is just so classy, aggressive, and I really feel like it's a super timeless design. I think it's going to continue to age very, very well compared to some of the other freakish designs that we've been getting from the German Euro brands. clear visibility of that beautiful 33 in 9K resolution of a digital gauge cluster and the infotainment system. Yes, I would prefer this to have a manual, but like I said, in this case, beggars cannot be choosers.
This is what was available and this is what I have for you. But just know that for me, the TIC would just make this a 12 out of 10. I mean, that's how good this car is. You do have your hands-free driving, that blue, well, the blue Cadillac, but you have your super cruise setup for this blue cruise missile of a Cadillac and a beautiful head head-up display.
I'm going to go ahead and slow down here. We're going to go on throttle in a split second.
Love seeing the bulge in the hood. You ready? I'M READY. ON THROTTLE. HERE WE GO. YEAH.
WOW. WOW. WOW. WOW. IT'S INCREDIBLE because I know everybody and their mother's like, "Hey, I got to have all-wheel drive. I got to have all-wheel drive." No, you don't. You don't. UNLESS YOU'RE TRYING TO DRIVE THIS in the snow or something. On a nice sunny Florida day on the asphalt, rear wheel drive with that electronic limited slip diff and those sticky 305s outback get the power to the ground so effectively. Yes, you could shift with the paddles. And I love the fact that the paddles are metal instead of plastic.
And also the sound, right? I mean, you're getting real deal supercharged V8 sound. My only gripe is I wish they would make the supercharger wine a little bit more intensified.
That's the main thing. I'm going to go ahead and make a U-turn real quick.
Pull back the shifter to illuminate M.
And that is going to allow you to manually shift with the paddles. You got a nice large gear indicator.
And if you're ready, I'M READY.
ON THROTTLE. HERE WE GO.
WOW.
Steering sensitivity is spot-on. The communication you get from the front of the vehicle to the back of the vehicle, very, very precise.
And it just makes you feel good inside.
It just makes you feel oh oh so very good.
I love these. I really do. And it's like if you're looking for the perfect four-door daily driver supercar, this is it.
I mean, it's just incredible.
I just wish, like I said, there were a little bit more blue accents on the interior. But when you think that you're getting both carbon fiber packages, exterior and interior, within the price of the special edition, that right there takes this Blackwing to another level.
On throttle.
Wow. brakes feel. So, I'm like drooling.
I'm literally drooling on myself. That's how this car makes you feel. It makes you salivate. And I'm literally drooling all over myself in here.
That's that's that's how you know you have a good car if it's making you drool and making other people drool, right?
Visibility is great.
the shifts, whether you're going up the gears or down the gears, very precise.
And Cadillac did take the Porsche's PDK and use that as a goalpost when designing the 10-speed automatic in this car. So, just something else to to to think about. But the seats hold you in great. They're not going to squeeze you like a vice grip. All of the fine leather in here just feels so good.
And you got all that great tech technology, the Gmeter, your boost gauge, all the different gauges that you could want throttle.
The way the car downshifts and keeps the chassis so stable is so nice and you really get to enjoy that on a racetrack.
Really, really, really nice the way it does that because that's key, right?
It's like when you're downshifting and you're on the brakes, you want that chassis to not be wallowing all over the place. You want it to be rock solid planted. And with the magnetic ride suspension and the way that they set up the chassis in this car, it just it it does it so well.
Nice.
Really nice.
But man, what a special car. These cars are not going to be around forever and it's like you better get one now if you want one.
My only difference that I would do, the only thing I would choose differently is the TMX 6-speed. One of the best transmissions currently available in the modern era of the automobile.
But I hope that this has been a good quick overall review of this CT5V Blackwing being that Deep Ocean Blue Special Edition. We're going to get back to Dimmitic Cadillac in Clear Water and wrap this one up. So, I'll see you in a split second. All right, guys. Always, always, always a good time when we get behind the wheel of a Blackwing, especially one that's limited to just 200 copies. There's just this is one of 200.
Definitely got to thank Cory and the whole crew crew here at Dimit Cadillac and Clearwater. Now it's your turn. Let me know what you think for the moola over the competition. And if you want something super special, is this the way to go? this supersonic cruise missile of a Blackwing. Let me know down in the comments section. But if you're new to the channel, you're on your way out. Hit that subscribe button. I promise you it's worthwhile coming back for more.
And if you are a subscriber, thank you for being part of the Ra family. Got to give it up to Latte Lori. She's cooking and she's baking and she is frying up some amazing video action. I know for your visual enjoyment. So, show Lori some love in that comment section. She busts her butt out here and it shows.
Thank you, Lori, for all that you do.
And just like always, guys, I'll see you on the next ride.
