The Wrong Wire in the Wrong Place Can Be a Big ProblemAdded:
Did you know that inside of electric wire, there's actually paper? So, you go inside of this yellow ROMX wire, and each of the wires has this little paper sheathing around it. So, this is the reason that this type of wire can be used inside a building and inside walls or up in an attic, but it can't be used in a garage because this paper obviously doesn't do well with moisture. So instead, what they make you use is either you have to put wire into a conduit. By the way, that can't go into a conduit because of this paper. Or you they make you use what's called uh I want to say a UF wire, I think is what it's called. It's the gray wire. And instead of it looks kind of the same as this. It's just gray. And instead of paper in there, the actual rubber ROMX itself is wrapped around each of the three wires. It's a pain in the ass to work with. This is much easier. So, we try to minimize using that and maximize how much we use this cuz it's way faster and way easier.
